  • USM(Unit Service Management System) is the development tool and methodology to handling the event process in a U-City integrated platform by using the minimum unit services. USM can be one of the SOA development methodology. Minimum unit service has a minimum business logic that can be executed with input and output parameters. Minimum unit service consists of three parts : service profile, service input and output parameters and service execution information. USM provides two types of the execution method. One is module execution and the other is web service execution. The development of the event sinario by the USM development methodology can reduce the cost and duration of the u-service development by raising the rate of reusing minimum unit service.

융합서비스의 모델링 방법 (A Method to Model Convergent Services)

  • The most popular convergent services are being made mostly out of IT related services and devices. To help understand the underlying principles making convergent services the paper suggests a logical view of converging process. A service is assumed to consist of unit services that can be used in algorithmic operations to form a new convergent service. Convergence operations for a couple of unit services are typed according to whether the unit services are modified. Internal convergence leads to a new service from a combination of sub units of the two unit services. External convergences do not alter original unit services but simply combine them to form a new service. The paper also suggests several measurements to evaluate the convergent services with respect to the existing services used to create the new convergent service.

의료사회사업서비스의 질에 관한 연구 (Quality Assessment on Social Services in General and Teaching Hospitals in Korea)

  • Background : As an empirical study, current research about the quality of social services carried out in general and teaching hospitals across the country. In the flux of health care reforms and market transformation, the quality of social services in the hospital becomes increasingly significant. Methods : A sample of total 80 hospitals, including general hospitals with one social worker at least and single-department hospital with two social workers or more, were identified nationwide through the registry of Korean Association of Medical Social Workers and Korean Association of Hospitals. The subjects of this survey were 80 leaders of social service units. The survey data from each subjects were measured to evaluate level of quality that service provider perceived of sample hospitals. Under the method of one-way ANOVA and multiple regression, the level of quality in social work service was analyzed. Results : The major findings were as following ; First, the level of quality perceived showed less score, especially the lowest was the score of quality of outcome. Second, the key variables of each hospital which turned out significantly different in quality of social work service were the departmental form of social work unit, unit leader's age, educational level, field experience, and job rank. Third, the level of quality of social work service correlated positively with the field experience of unit leader, the size of social work unit, the job rank of the unit leader. Conclusion : The most influential variables to the quality of social work service proved departmental form of social work unit, leader of social work unit. Therefore, to assure the proper level of quality, social work unit in hospital must be structured single, independent department in which entitled social worker is supposed to supervise and manage. And a leadership-development program for leaders in social work unit are strongly recommended.

  • The recent change of social environment has influence on the configuration of space for the community social welfare center. And so the relation of space and the service function required the change of spatial configuration. The social welfare center fills the role of family welfare, domiciliary care, community service etc. In such sense, this research explore the conditions of spatial configuration for the community welfare service unit of social welfare center in small city. For this study, it was investigated the space role and service function, the service program, the usage characteristics, the room satisfaction of social workers. In sum, the useful data were collected, analyzed, and colligated by case study. It could be used in the basic design criteria of community service unit for the social welfare center in small city.

군수지원 분야 서비스품질 평가 및 재방문의도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of the Service Quality and Revisit Intention in the Defense Logistics Support)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the direction of improving service quality in the defense logistics support. For this, this study compares and analyzes the perceived service quality between customer(using unit) and defense logistics support unit by using SERVPERF model. Supply, military meals, and maintenance are carrying out the mission as core function of defense logistics support and also encounter with customer. In this empirical analysis, the service quality is composed of four factors, and there are significant difference in perception level of service quality between them. Also, the relationship between factors of service quality and revisit intention shows significant difference statistically, and the customer orientation and responsiveness are key affecting factors on revisit intention.

간호·간병통합서비스병동과 일반병동환자의 병원재이용의사 영향요인 비교 (A Comparison of Factors Affecting Hospital Revisit Intention in Comprehensive Nursing Care Unit and General Care Unit)

  • 본 연구는 간호·간병통합서비스 병동과 일반 병동 환자의 간호만족도와 병원재이용의사를 비교하고 병원재이용의사에 미치는 영향요인을 확인하기 위함이다. 2019년 6월 01일부터 6월 30일까지 B광역시에 소재하고 간호·간병통합서비스를 제공하는 200병상 이상 4개의 병원 정형외과 외래 진료를 통해 입원한 환자 201명 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 이용한 서술적 조사연구이다. 자료분석은 SPSS/WIN 23.0을 이용하여 x2-test, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, stepwise multiple regression으로 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 간호만족도는 간호·간병통합서비스 병동에 입원한 환자가 일반 병동에 입원한 환자보다 유의하게 높았다. 간호만족도와 병원재이용의사의 상관관계에서 간호만족도가 높을수록 병원재이용의사가 높게 나타나 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 간호·간병통합서비스 병동과 일반 병동 입원환자의 병원재이용의사의 영향요인에는 간호만족도 하위영역 중 공감성과 유형성으로 나타났다. 공감성과 유형성은 간호·간병통합서비스 병동에서는 56%의 설명력이 있었고 일반 병동에서는 40%의 설명력이 있었다. 이상의 연구결과 병원재이용의사를 높이기 위해 간호만족도를 지속적으로 모니터링 할 수 있는 간호체계를 마련하고, 간호·간병통합서비스 제도의 확대 시행과 정착을 위해 결과를 제시하고자 한다.

  • ISO 9000 has brought about significant positive effects to the quality management system and quality improvement. This paper develops effective and flexible ISO 9000 quality system based on telecommunication manufactured goods with CSU(Channel Service Unit), ADSL(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line), Fiber Optic Multiplexer, HDSL(High-bit-rate Digital Subscriber Line), FDSU(Flexible Data Service Unit), 73 DSU(Digital Service Unit). The case studies of venture telecommunication corporation in establishing ISO 9000 qualify system are also discussed.

Interpretation of tube agglutination test for bovine brucellosis with turbidimetric readings and international unit

  • The tube agglutination test has been used for bovine brucellosis diagnosis in Korea since middle 1950s. The reported high specificity was its value in eradication program. However, the reading of reaction mostly depends on personal experience, thus here we report a way to improve accuracy and uniformity of reading. The tube agglutination was conducted according to the protocol provided by Korean Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The intensity of reaction was measured by spectrophotometer. The relationship between turbidity and percentage clearing was generally in direct proportion and linear. The correspondent percent transmittance at 75, 50, and 25% clearing were 91, 82, and 73, respectively. Then, the degree of percentage of clearing at given international unit was measured. With about 1.5 unit of serum, the maximum percentage clearing was observed. The international unit showing 25, 50, and 75 percentage clearing were 0.61, 0.83 and 1.35, respectively. Based on the information obtained using international standard serum, the calculation of international unit of test serum was available. According to the protocol for bovine brucellosis diagnosis which provided by Korean Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the available range of detectable international unit was between 15 and 538. And the corresponding international units for suspicious case ranged between 42 and 127. Of the 35 sera from B abortus infected cattle, about half of them had more than 538 international units. Collectively, the reading of turbidity using spectrophotometer and application to international unit improved accuracy and uniformity of reading.

Holistic Approach to Multi-Unit Site Risk Assessment: Status and Issues

  • The events at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station in March 2011 point out, among other matters, that concurrent accidents at multiple units of a site can occur in reality. Although site risk has been deterministically considered to some extent in nuclear power plant siting and design, potential occurrence of multi-unit accident sequences at a site was not investigated in sufficient detail thus far in the nuclear power community. Therefore, there is considerable worldwide interest and research effort directed toward multi-unit site risk assessment, especially in the countries with high-density nuclear-power-plant sites such as Korea. As the technique of probabilistic safety assessment (PSA) has been successfully applied to evaluate the risk associated with operation of nuclear power plants in the past several decades, the PSA having primarily focused on single-unit risks is now being extended to the multi-unit PSA. In this paper we first characterize the site risk with explicit consideration of the risk associated with spent fuel pools as well as the reactor risks. The status of multi-unit risk assessment is discussed next, followed by a description of the emerging issues relevant to the multi-unit risk evaluation from a practical standpoint.

Service Quality Dimensions of E-retailing of Islamic Banks and Its Impact on Customer Satisfaction: An Empirical Investigation of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

  • The study aims to explore key dimensions of service quality of E-Retailing of Islamic banks in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The convenience sample size consists of 373 respondents who regularly use online Islamic banking facilities in Saudi Arabia was used. For measuring the consumers' perspective, a four-factor E-SERVQUAL scale; namely efficiency, system availability, fulfillment, and privacy was used. Exploratory Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis are used to test the model fitness. Structural equation modelling is utilized to determine the impact of E-service quality dimensions on customers' satisfaction. The results of the study reveal that 1) reliability as a dimension of E-retailing of Islamic banks made a significant impact on customers' overall satisfaction; 2) there is a positive significant relationship between responsiveness and customers' overall satisfaction. One unit increased in responsive leads to 0.763 unit increases in the overall satisfaction of the customer; and 3) ease of use is the most important dimensions of service quality of E-retailing of Islamic banks. One unit increases in Security/ Privacy leads to 0.473 unit increases in overall satisfaction. There is a positive impact of good E-service on customers' satisfaction, but it does not override unsatisfactory performance in other areas.
