ADONIS: A Service Design and Certification Management Tool for Certification of Software Development Process in International Standard Organization (국제표준기국의 SW 개발 공정 인증을 위한 서비스 설계 및 인증 관리 도구: ADONIS)

  • In the perspective of service, it is important to institute certification process required by International Standard Organization (ISO) for software (SW) development process, since Information and Communication Technology (ICT) takes high portion of the Korean industry and its certification for SW is essential internationally for trade. In addition, the certification service provided by BPMN tools like ADONIS is absolutely necessary. In that perspective, this paper proposes a new approach to satisfy this kind of necessity. This approach provides the certification service for the safety of SW required at the international level in Korean industry. Furthermore, the approach can be applied to other domains beside the SW. In order to demonstrate the approach, this paper shows how to guarantee service design for certification of ECSS-E-40 of European Space Agency (ESA) with ADONIS. This paper focuses on specification and verification of SW in E-40, and the main requirement for the verification will be safety of the SW.

  • World Business Council for Sustainable Development(WBCSD) is effort to achieve sustainable development in economic growth, environmental preservation and social development. Being this way, it is essential for developing evaluation tool which quantify to fulfill sustainable development. Eco-efficiency is one of the quantitative tools to evaluate environmental impact and economic aspect. Eco-efficiency, in general term, means creating more value of product or services with less impact to environment. It indicates as environmental impact in denominator and value of product or services in numerator. Eco-efficiency shows how much economic value reveals to unit environmental impact caused by product or service as an indicator. This study aims at developing eco-efficiency indicator of railway industry considering use stage among the entire life cycle stage of KTX and Saemaul train and also, figure out eco-efficiency value through indicator. Therethrough, it is enables to evaluate created value per environmental aspects. Since rail vehicles demands a lot of energy to transport people during use stage, the environmental impact is more significant than other lkfe cycle stages. Therefore, it quantified environmental indicator as CO2 emission and economic indicator as transportation record per a year with an annual income. This study contributes to be used as a tool for quantifying indicator of comparison evaluation in respect of rail vehicle in use stage.

  • Researches in the services field have evolved tremendously in the last 20 years. However, researches in service innovation still follows the traditional approaches of product quality improvements. The current research reviews the relevant literature from the past, and analyzes limitations each research possess, thus suggest a service innovation framework. Also, we have developed a diagnostic tool that measures the level of service innovation driven from actual cases. The current research suggests a new road map to organizations that pursue service innovation as well as a new research direction to the researchers in the field of service innovation.

  • As a trend of modern service industry, self-service has been widely concerned by all walks of life, but there is a lack of literature on systematic management of the overall research in this field. Recently, people's lifestyle has been forced to change due to the influence of COVID-19, while there have been some changes in the field of self-service research. Based on the Web of Science data source, this study takes the literature of self-service field before and after the outbreak of COVID-19 as the research object, and summarizes the development process, research status and future research trend of self-service field through the Citespace visualization tool. The research shows that firstly, academic circles continue to be enthusiastic about self-service field research, cooperation between countries is becoming more and more diversified. Secondly, the communication between researchers is becoming more and more intensive, and the cooperation between different disciplines gradually becomes the mainstream. Third, related research gradually shifted to the practical application of technology, the research perspective gradually shifted from the initial traditional retail perspective industries such as tourism services. Finally, the role of customer experience and participation behavior in self-service process is gradually emphasized.

  • Reliability of embedded softwares, as one of factors which affect system reliability, is the probability of failure-free software operation for a specified period of time in a specified environment. and Embedded software is different from general package software because hardware and operating system are tightly coupled to each other. Reliability evaluation models for embedded softwares currently used do not separate estimation and prediction models clearly, and even a standard model has not been proposed yet. In this respect, we choose a reliability estimation model suitable for embedded softwares among software evaluation models being used, and modified the model so as to accomodate recent software environments. In addtion, based on the model, the web-based reliability prediction tool RPX is developed. Finally, an embedded software is analyzed using the tool.

  • Six Sigma advocates rigorous application of quality management tool. Using Six Sigma program provides a mechanism for service organization to achieve organization's goal and customer satisfaction. A model on Six sigma in service organization was developed and applied for the service organization. Questionnaire was developed, and data was collected and analyzed for this study. Conclusively, 6 sigma leadership is the important drivers to process management and customer relationship management. Process management and customer relationship management are significantly related to the job performance and customer satisfaction.

  • In recent years, research at the Environmental Microbial and Food Safety Laboratory (EMFSL), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) has focused on the development of novel image-based sensing technologies to address agro-food safety concerns, and transformation of these novel technologies into practical instrumentation for industrial implementations. The line-scan-based hyperspectral imaging techniques have often served as a research tool to develop rapid multispectral methods based on only a few spectral bands for rapid online applications. We developed a newer line-scan hyperspectral imaging platform for high-speed inspection on high-throughput processing lines, capable of simultaneous multiple inspection algorithms for different agro-food safety problems such as poultry carcass inspection for wholesomeness and apple inspection for fecal contamination and defect detection. In addition, portable imaging devices were developed for in situ identification of contamination sites and for use by agrofood producer and processor operations for cleaning and sanitation inspection of food processing surfaces. The aim of this presentation is to illustrate recent advances in the above agro.food safety sensing technologies.

  • The study aims to develop a assessment tool to provide the in-home disabled in a local community with appropriate services in consideration of physical, emotional, social and environmental circumstances. After collection of assesment data of 200 in-home disabled through use of the tool, a desire-extracting algorithm was developed to provide a service to real needs through the use of decision tree analysis on data mining. The study was conducted for Five months from June 2006 through October 2006, and it is divided into development of an assessment tool and extraction of real needs through the use of the tool. The basic framework of the development of the tool was established through the examination of related literature, the subjective satisfaction of the assessment tool and items were developed through the use of a focus group and experts, and verification was implemented through the use of statistics to confirm the validity of the tool.   • Factors Influencing the Motor Development of Children with Cerebral Palsy: Differences in Pediatric Physical Therapists' Perceptions

    • Purpose: The purpose of this article is to identify whether the physical therapists perceive the important factors influencing the motor development in children with cerebral palsy differently. Methods: Study participants included 58 pediatric physical therapists. They were recruited from the internet communities for physical therapists. The data was collected through a web-based questionnaire using Google Documents tool. Questionnaire was focused on the importance (10-point scale) of each factor influencing the motor development in children with cerebral palsy. The mean scale of each factor was compared by itself and according to the participants' career characteristics. Results: The personality characteristics received the least importance rating (6.77) in comparison with other domains (healthcare service: 7.70, family ecology: 7.53, secondary impairment: 7.53, primary impairment: 7.45). In the detailed items, home exercise (8.33) received the highest mean importance rating, while sociability (6.03) received the lowest mean importance rating. Comparing the importance of factors by the type of work institution, subjects working in the welfare institutions perceived the contextual factors (personality characteristics, family ecology, healthcare service) as more important than those working in the medical institutions. Conclusion: The authorsuggests that pediatric physical therapists should try to have an identical approach by reaching a consensus. Also, the support for family-centered service to children with cerebral palsy should be strengthened.

    A Study of the Satisfaction of Medical Service of Patients and Family in an Oriental Hospital (한방병원 입원환자 및 보호자의 의료서비스 만족도)

    • Purpose: This study was conducted to describe and analyze about the satisfaction of medical service of patients and family in an Oriental hospital. Methods: Design was the descriptive survey study. Sample was 50 patients and guardians in K Oriental hospital, and convenient sampling was used. Measure was the satisfaction tool of medical service developed by Kang(2004). Data were collected from March 2005 to July 2005, and analyzed using SPSS PC+12 program. Findings: Thirty-two(64.0%) of all subjects were female and 18(36.9%) subjects were male. Score of medical service in Oriental hospital was mean 3.70. Scores in categories of the satisfaction were ranked for medical treatment(4.12), administration service (3.58), and environment and facilities service(3.41) in order. Expectancy for quality, quality after use, general satisfaction, and sufficiency after use in Oriental hospital were 7.34, 7.56, and 7.20, and they were above the average. There were significant differences in education and "I will recommend this oriental hospital to other patients" in differences of medical service by general characteristics and characteristics related to job. Conclusions: On the findings, we suggest that the team for oriental medical service should endeavor for development of professionals and techniques in oriental medical treatment. Simultaneously, institutional administrative resources are persistently needed for supporting of oriental medical team.
