MZI를 이용한 전광 직렬-병렬 데이터 형식 변환기 구현과 활용 방안 (Implementation of All-Optical Serial-Parallel Data Converters Using Mach-Zehnder Interferometers and Applications)

  • All-optical signal processing is expected to offer advantages in speed and power consumption against over electronics signal processing. It has a potential to solve the bottleneck issues of ultra-high speed communication network nodes. All-optical serial-to-parallel and parallel-to-serial data converters would make it possible to easily process the serial data information of a high-speed optical packet without optical-to-electronic-to-optical data conversion. In this paper, we explain the principle of simple and easily expandable all-optical serial-to-parallel and parallel-to-serial data converters based on Mach-Zehnder interferometers. We experimentally demonstrate these data converters at 10Gbit/s serial data rate. They are useful all-optical devices for the all-optical implementations of label decoding, self-routing, control of variable packets, bit-wise logical operation, and data format conversion.

연속간행물 관리에 적용되는 업무조직 구조의 유형 (Organizational patterns for serial management)

  • The present study aims at identifying the nature of the organizational patterns for serial management and thus providing an assitance for decision-making in regards to how the serials in an individual library be processed. The premise of the paper is that effective management is ensued from adopting proper organizational arrangement. In the first part. attempts are made to bring to the fore the problems inherent in serial management and the efforts made for possible solutions. The main portion of the paper eximines the two outstanding patterns; namely, the decentralized arrangement patterned after the traditional functions of a library and the centralized one integrating such functions as acquisition, cataloging and information service. Both are examined in light of nature, development, applicability, strengths and weeknesses. Automation is viewed as a strong force for a change in organizing serial work as it has already brought about organizational change in some large libraries. The general conclusion is that a large collection(5,000 active titles or more) has much to benefit from a separate, specialized department. which integrates the related functions; and the smaller collection can be effectively treated like the rest of the library materials, assigning a specific unit responsible for serial work and promoting an informal communication activities which would bring about coordination and coorperation for the free flow of serial work.

  • 학술잡지 구입 예산의 구입비용 상승에 따른 압력으로 지난 수십년간 학술잡지의 선택에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되어 왔지만, 학술잡지의 선택에 대한 만족할만한 이론적 틀이 제시되지 못하였다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 의학도서관에서 의학분야의 학술잡지의 선택에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 확인하여 이러한 이론적 틀을 제시할 수 있는 근거를 마련코자 한다. 본 연구는 상관관계 분석과 로지스틱회귀분석을 통해 학술잡지선택의 분산을 설명하고, 나아가 예측하는 통계적 모델들을 여러 변수조합을 이용해 제시한다. 또한 이러한 모델의 실제적 적용과 향후 연구방향을 논의한다.

Multifactorial analysis of the surgical outcomes of giant congenital melanocytic nevi: Single versus serial tissue expansion

  • Background Giant congenital melanocytic nevus (GCMN) is a rare disease, for which complete surgical resection is recommended. However, the size of the lesions presents problems for the management of the condition. The most popular approach is to use a tissue expander; however, single-stage expansion in reconstructive surgery for GCMN cannot always address the entire defect. Few reports have compared tissue expansion techniques. The present study compared single and serial expansion to analyze the risk factors for complications and the surgical outcomes of the two techniques. Methods We retrospectively reviewed the medical charts of patients who underwent tissue expander reconstruction between March 2011 and July 2019. Serial expansion was indicated in cases of anatomically obvious defects after the first expansion, limited skin expansion with two more expander insertions, or capsular contracture after removal of the first expander. Results Fifty-five patients (88 cases) were analyzed, of whom 31 underwent serial expansion. The number of expanders inserted was higher in the serial-expansion group (P<0.001). The back and lower extremities were the most common locations for single and serial expansion, respectively (P =0.043). Multivariate analysis showed that sex (odds ratio [OR], 0.257; P=0.015), expander size (OR, 1.016; P=0.015), and inflation volume (OR, 0.987; P=0.015) were risk factors for complications. Conclusions Serial expansion is a good option for GCMN management. We demonstrated that large-sized expanders and large inflation volumes can lead to complications, and therefore require risk-reducing strategies. Nonetheless, serial expansion with proper management is appropriate for certain patients and can provide aesthetically satisfactory outcomes.

  • Human-machine serial systems must be normal in both systems. Though the failure of machine is irreducible by itself, the human errors are of recurring type. When the human performance is described quantitatively, non-homogeneous Poisson Process model of human errors can be developed. And the model parameters can be estimated by maximum likelihood estimation and numerical analysis method. System reliability is obtained by multiplying machine reliability by human reliability.

  • SICI(Serial Item and Contribution Identifier)는 지식정보자원 식별체계에 대한 요구증가에 따라 이종간 컴퓨터시스템의 상호운용성과 데이터교환을 목적으로 개발된 표준이다. 이 논문에서는 연속간행물 관리와 관련된 메타데이터 표준인 Z39.56에 관해 소개하고자 한다. 또한 출판사, 도서관자동화시스템 개발업체, 서지데이터베이스 제작업체들의 Z39.56 ANSI/NISO 표준 적용사례를 조사하였다.

공공도서관의 연속간행물 장서관리 실태 및 개선 방안 연구 (A Study on the Current Status and Improvement of Serial Management of Public Libraries)

  • 연속간행물이 공공도서관 장서로서 차지하는 중요성과 이용 빈도에 비하여 공공도서관현장에서의 연속간행물 관리에 대한 관심은 상대적으로 미흡한 편이다. 본 연구의 목적은 공공도서관의 연속간행물 장서관리 실태를 조사하여 문제점을 진단하고 개선방안을 제시하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 문헌연구와 국내 8개 지역 대표도서관 및 3개 해외 도서관의 장서관리 정책 사례 조사, 경기도 지역 31개 공공도서관을 대상으로 한 온라인 설문조사 등을 실시하였으며, 조사 결과를 토대로 구독 종수 및 범위의 확대, 접근점 개선 및 관리지침의 수립 필요성 등을 제안하였다.

Optimization and Analysis of Nonserial Diverging Branch Systems in Dynamic Programming

  • The focus of this paper is to develop the optimization procedures and analyze the complexities of the nonserial diverging branch systems in Dynamic Programming. The optimization procedure of the system is developed such that it helps to reduce the computational demands of the system. The complexity of the network is analyzed with the increasing number of nodes, branches and their connectedness to the main serial system. Determination of the optimal set of nodes for the main serial chain is also investigated.

GF($3^m$)의 Digit-Serial 유한체 곱셈기 (Digit-Serial Finite Field Multipliers for GF($3^m$))

  • 최근 페어링 기반의 암호시스템에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있으며, 암호시스템의 효율성은 기존의 공개키 암호시스템과 같이 유한체에 의존한다. 페어링 기반의 암호시스템의 경우 주로 GF($3^m$)에서 고려되며 유한체 연산에서 곱셈 연산이 효율성에 가장 큰 영향을 미친다. 본 논문에서는 삼항 기약다항식 기반의 새로운 GF($3^m$) MSD-first Digit-Serial 곱셈기를 제안한다. 제안하는 MSD-first Digit-Serial 곱셈기는 모듈러 감산 연산부를 병렬화하여 공간복잡도는 기존의 결과와 거의 같으나 Critical Path Delay가 기존의 1MUL+(log ${\lceil}n{\rceil}$+1)ADD에서 1MUL+(log ${\lceil}n+1{\rceil}$)ADD으로 감소한다. 따라서 Digit이 $2^k$가 아닌 경우 1번의 덧셈에 대한 시간 지연이 감소한다.
