In this study, we sought to investigate the various characteristics of Salmonella spp. isolated from raw chicken meats available in Korean markets. The data collected, such as food source of isolation, sampling information, serotype, virulence, and genetic profile including sequence type, were registered in the database for further comparative analysis of the strains isolated from the traceback investigation samples. To characterize serotype, virulence and gene sequences, we examined 113 domestically distributed chicken meat samples for contamination with Salmonella spp. Phylogenetic analysis was conducted on 24 strains (21.2%) of Salmonella isolated from 113 commercially available chicken meats and by-products, using pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) and multilocus sequence typing (MLST). Serotyping of the isolated Salmonella spp. revealed S. Enteritidis in 11 strains (45.8%), S. Virchow in 6 strains (25%), S. Montevideo in 2 strains (8.3%), S. Bsilla in 2 strains (8.3%), S. Bareilly in 1 strain (4.2%), S. Dessau in 1 strain (4.2%), and S. Albany in 1 strain (4.2%). The genetic correlation indicated that 24 isolated strains were classified into 18 clusters with a genetic similarity of 64.4-100% between them. Eleven isolated S. Enteritidis strains were classified into 9 genotypes with a sequence identity of 74.4%, whereas the most distantly related S. Virchow was divided into five genotypes with 85.9% identity. Here, the MLST analysis indicated that the major Sequence Type (ST) of the Salmonella spp. isolated from domestic chicken sold in Chungcheong Province belongs to the ST 11 and 16, which differs from the genotype of Salmonella isolated from imported chicken. The differential sequence characteristics can be a genetic marker for identifying causative bacteria for epidemiological investigations of food poisoning.
In the power-line communication(PLC) systems, the power line is a wired medium. However, the power line channel has the multi-path fading characteristics like the wireless channel in the wireless communication systems because it has the signal reflection and divergence by the impedance mismatching between many branch lines and loads. So the analysis of the multi-path characteristics is very important, and it has been doing by the several measurement methods for the impulse response between the transmitter and the receiver. PN sequence method has originally been used as a wideband impulse response measurement mettled for wireless channel, but it is recently being applied to not only the wireless channel but also the wired channel like the power line channel. This method is more useful and effective for the long distance communication channel like the medium voltage power distribution line with the multi-paths[1]. In this thesis, we have measured impulse response for the medium voltage power distribution line channel by the wideband measurement method using PN sequence, analytically studied the measured data and presented the results.

The determination of assembly sequence in general mechanical assemblies plays an important role in terms of manufacturing cost, duration and quality. In the production of ships and offshore plants, the consideration of productivity factors and welding deformation is crucial in determining the optimal assembly sequence. In shipbuilding and offshore industries, most assembly sequence planning has been done according to engineers' decisions based on extensive experience. This may result in error-prone planning and sub-optimal sequence, especially when dealing with unfamiliar block assemblies composed of dozens of parts. This paper presents an assembly sequence planning method for block assemblies. The proposed method basically considers geometric characteristics of blocks to determine feasible assembly sequences, as well as assembly process and productivity factors. Then the assembly sequence with minimal welding deformation is selected based on simplified welding distortion analysis. The method is validated using an asymmetric assembly model and the results indicate that it is capable of generating an optimal assembly sequence.
The automatic forming sequence design system can determine desirable operation sequences even if they have little experience in the design of cold forging process. This system is proposed, which generates forming sequence plans for the multistage cold forging of zxisymmetrical solid products. Since the process of metal forming can be considered as a transformation of geometry, treatment of the geometry of the product is a key in planning processes. Forming sequence for the part can be determined by means of primitive geometries such as cylinder, cone, convex, and concave. By utilizing this geometrical characteristics(diameter, height, and radius),the product geometry is expressed by a list of the pnmitive geometries. Accordingly, the forming sequence design is formulated as the search problem which starts with a billet geometry and finishes with a given product one. Using the developed system, the sequence drawing with all dimensions, which includes the proper sequence of operations for the part, is generated under the environment of AutoCAD. The preliminary choice of some feasible forming sequences can verify by using the finite element simulation.
A static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) applied to rapidly changing, highly unbalanced loads such as electric arc furnaces (EAFs), requires both positive-sequence and negative-sequence current control, which indicates fast response characteristics and can be controlled independently. Furthermore, a delta-connected STATCOM with cascaded H-bridge configuration accompanying multiple separate DC-sides, should have high performance zero-sequence current control to suppress a phase-to-phase imbalance in DC-side voltages when compensating for unbalanced load. In this paper, actual EAF data is analyzed to reflect on the design of current controllers and a pioneering zero-sequence current controller with a superb transient performance is devised, which generates an imaginary -axis component from the presumed response of forwarded reference. Via simulation and experiments, the performance of the positive, negative, and zero-sequence current control of a cascaded H-bridge STATCOM for EAF is verified.
The present study is focused on the small scale turbulent mixing processes in the scalar field. In order to deal with molecular mixing in turbulent flow, the linear eddy model is addressed. In each realization, the molecular mixing term is implemented deterministically, and turbulent stirring is represented by a sequence of instantaneous, statistically independent rearrangement event called by triplet map. The LEM approach is applied with relatively simple conditions. The characteristics of scalar mixing and PDF profiles are addressed in detail.
