  • Injection molding is a very important industrial process for the manufacturing of plastics objects. During an injection molding process of composites, the fiber-matrix separation and fiber orientation are caused by the flow of molten polymer/fiber mixture. As a result, the product tends to be nonhomogeneous and anisotropic. Hence, it is very important to clarify the relations between separation· orientation and injection molding conditions. So far, there is no research on the measurement of fiber orientation using image processing. In this study, the effects of fiber content ratio and molding condition on the fiber orientation-angle distributions are studied experimentally. Using the image processing method, the fiber orientation distribution of weld-line parts in injection-molded products is assessed. And the effects of fiber content and injection molding conditions on the fiber orientation functions are also discussed

비접촉식 웨이퍼 그리퍼용 공압 파지식 헤드 설계 (Design of the Air Pressure Pick-up Head for Non-Contact Wafer Gripper)

  • The recent manufacturing process in the thin wafers and flat panel necessitate new approaches to reduce handling fragile and surface-sensitive damage of components. This paper presents a new pneumatic levitation for non-contact handling of parts and substrates. This levitation can achieve non-contact handling by blowing air into an air pressure pick-up head with radial passages to generate a negative pressure region. Negative pressure is caused by the radial air flow by nozzle throat and through holes connecting to the bottom region. The numerical analysis deals with the levitational motion with different design factors. The dynamic motion is examined in terms of force balance(dynamic equilibrium) occurring to the flow field between two objects. The stable equilibrium position and the safe separation distance are determined by analyzing the local pressure distribution in the fluid motion. They make considerable design factors consisting the air pressure pick-up head. As a result, in case that the safe separation distance is beyond 0.7mm, the proposed pick-up head can levitate stably at the equilibrium position. Furthermore, it can provide little effect of torque, and obtain more wide picking region according to the head size.

On the properties of six cores in the λ Orionis cloud: triggered or non-triggered star formation?

  • We present preliminary results of 1.1 and 1.3 mm dust continuum and 12CO (J=2-1) line data obtained with the Submillimeter Array toward six cores harboring Class 0/I objects in the λ Orionis cloud. They are located in bright rimmed clouds, which are exposed to the far-ultraviolet radiation field by the O-type star λ Ori. Compact dust continuum emission is observed from all six cores. Among the six cores, only one core G196.92-10.37 shows a signature of binarity with separation of 4000 AU. The numbers of singles and binaries in our sample are five and one, respectively and the derived multiplicity frequency (MF) is 0.17. This value is lower than those found in the binary surveys toward Class 0/I objects, which may be a hint for negative feedback by the nearby massive star, lambda Ori. The derived excitation temperature (Tex) using 12CO emission shows a lower median value (20 K) than those of triggered star-forming regions (30 K). The lower MF and Tex support our previous study that star formation was not triggered in the λ Orionis cloud. We aim to further investigate whether the Class 0/I YSOs in the λ Orionis cloud have less circumstellar materials and smaller accretion rates than in other filamentary clouds (e.g., Orion A & B), which might be attributed to negative feedback from the massive star in limiting accretion of protostars.

유아의 불안감소와 중간대상에 대한 연구 (A Study on Anxiety Reduction and Transitional object in Infants)

  • 본 연구는 위니캇의 이론을 중심으로 상담자의 중간대상 역할을 문헌연구를 통하여 제시하였다. 발달과정에서 유아가 어머니와 절대적 의존에서 상대적 의존으로 넘어갈 때 불안을 겪는데 이때 중간대상인 인형, 손 빨기 등이 유아의 불안을 감소시킨다. 이처럼 상담자의 중간 대상 역할은 상실 경험에 대한 분리불안과 우울 불안을 완충시켜주고, 전능 환상에서 현실 세계로 매개하여준다. 중간대상은 새로운 대상으로 현실에서 적응하도록 이바지 하는 기능을 가지고 있다. 그리고 중간대상과 중간현상을 통하여 분리 개별화 단계로 이어진다. 전능한 창조와 파괴, 그리고 현실에 적응하기 위해 존재하는 실제적인 타자에 대한 감각을 체득한다고 할 수 있다. 충분히 좋은 어머니는 유아의 전능성을 의미 있게 만들어 준다. 이러할 때 참자기는 유아의 약한 자아를 성장하게 하여 자신의 삶을 살도록 이끌어 준다. 어머니가 유아의 욕구를 채워주지 못할 경우 환상과 자발적 충동이 결핍된다. 즉, 어머니가 유아의 욕구를 반영해 주지 못할 때 유아가 어머니의 기분을 살피게 되어 참자기를 포기하고 거짓 자기를 만들게 된다. 절대적 의존기의 병리는 충분히 좋은 어머니의 공감과 안아주는 환경의 실패로 인해 발생한다. 이때 아이는 전능 환상의 붕괴를 경험하고 멸절 불안을 경험하게 된다. 그러므로 상담현장에서 상담자의 중간대상 역할을 통해서 내담자의 분리불안과 우울 불안을 감소시켜서 편안하고 안정된 환경을 제공할 때 효율적인 상담을 진행할 수 있다.

의약분업제도 도입효과에 대한 실증 분석 (An Empirical Study on the Effect of the Separation of Dispensary from Medical Practice)

  • Although there have been studies regarding the separating policy of dispensary and medical practice, little study have provided a concrete empirical evidence to what extent the policy objectives are achieved. In this paper, we try to provide empirical evidence whether the policy separating dispensary from medical practice achieved the policy objectives, which representatively are reducing the mis-use or over-use of anti-biotic prescriptions and medicines, and decreasing the government spending for the cost of pharmaceutical support. By comparing the average of the rate of change of the number of medicines prescribed, the rate of anti-biotics prescribed, and the government spending for the cost of pharmaceutical support between the areas where the separation policy was implemented and the exceptional areas, we concluded that it is difficult to conclude that the policy separating dispensary and medical practice achieved its policy objects, as it first announced to achieve in the introduction of the policy in 2000. However, the limitation of this study is that the data, that can thoroughly analyze the effect of separating policy of dispensary from medical practice, cannot be collected as expected. Hence, we could not use a parsimonious empirical model to evaluate the effect of the policy introduced in 2000. Rather we used a simple statistical method to extract enough empirical evidence fro m the data available. In the near future, we would expect to see more research that analyze the exact effect of policy separating dispensary and medical practice with concrete empirical model using more sophisticated dataset.

전경 이미지 분리와 마우스 트랙킹 프로그램을 이용한 사용자 관심 영역 유도 (Extraction of user interest area using foreground image separation and mouse tracking program)

  • 영상 처리에서 전경 이미지 추출은 움직이는 대상이나 객체를 인식하려는 경우에 주로 응용된다. 게임에서 전경 이미지에 포함되는 객체들은 주로 캐릭터와 NPC(Non Player Character), 아이템 등이 될 수 있다. 이 객체들은 플레이어들의 이동, 공격, 방어, 수집의 대상이 되는 객체들로 플레이어들의 주요 관심 대상이 될 수 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 배경에서, 플레이어들의 관심 영역을 추출하기 위한 연구이다. 이를 위해, 첫째, 전경 이미지를 추출한다. 둘째, 추출한 전경 이미지를 일정시간 누적시켜서 히트맵(Heat Map) 이미지를 결과 이미지로 보여준다. 마지막으로 마우스 트랙킹 프로그램을 이용하여 마우스 이동 영역을 검출하고 히트맵 이미지와 비교함으로써 플레이어의 관심 영역을 유도할 수 있다.

자동확산소화장치의 이격거리에 따른 소화성능평가연구 (Fire Extinguishing Capability of an Automatic Spreading Fire Extinguisher in Accordance with Horizontal Distance from a Fire Source)

  • 보일러실이나 세탁소, 또는 음식점과 다중이용업소의 주방에 주로 설치하는 자동확산소화장치는 화재발생 시 화염이나 열에 의해 자동으로 약제가 방출되어 화재를 진압하는 소화기구 중 하나이다. 이 소화장치는 공칭방호면적에 해당하는 소화능력을 가지고 있으므로 방호대상물이 이 범위를 벗어나 있으면 유효한 화재진압이 보장되지 않지만 현행 기준에는 바닥면적에 따른 설치갯수만 요구하고 있다. 따라서 방호대상물과의 이격거리에 따라 소화성능은 달라지게 되며 이에 대한 특성을 고찰하고자 천장높이가 2.5 m인 모형화재실에 본 소화장치를 설치하고 A급, B급 모형가연물과의 수평이격거리에 따른 소화실험을 실시하였다. 실험결과 일반가연물과 유류가연물을 모두 확실하게 소화할 수 있는 최대수평이격거리는 약 30 cm인 것으로 나타났다.

초등학교 1학년 아동을 통해 본 유치원 생활의 의미 (The Meaning of Kindergarten Experiences of First Graders)

  • The purpose of this study was to look into the meaning of kindergarten experiences of first graders with the use of phenomenological research. The participants of this study were 10 elementary school students. Through eleven interviews per person and journal writings, the voice of participants was condensed into three categories : (1) Kindergarten life was new and delightful; (2) they were limited in assertion of their rights; and (3) they experienced separation and longing. We should understand children's experience by their explanations and give consideration to children not as objects but as subjects. By doing so, we can provide more meaningful experiences to children in kindergarten.

향상된 세일리언시 맵과 슈퍼픽셀 기반의 효과적인 영상 분할 (Efficient Image Segmentation Algorithm Based on Improved Saliency Map and Superpixel)

  • Image segmentation is widely used in the pre-processing stage of image analysis and, therefore, the accuracy of image segmentation is important for performance of an image-based analysis system. An efficient image segmentation method is proposed, including a filtering process for super-pixels, improved saliency map information, and a merge process. The proposed algorithm removes areas that are not equal or of small size based on comparison of the area of smoothed superpixels in order to maintain generation of a similar size super pixel area. In addition, application of a bilateral filter to an existing saliency map that represents human visual attention allows improvement of separation between objects and background. Finally, a segmented result is obtained based on the suggested merging process without any prior knowledge or information. Performance of the proposed algorithm is verified experimentally.

  • The aim of this study is to evaluate the Pi-SAR data for land cover discrimination using a standard method. For this purpose, the original polarization and Pauli components of the Pi-SAR X-band and L-band data are used and the results are compared. As a method for the land cover discrimination, the traditional method of statistical maximum likelihood decision rule is selected. To increase the accuracy of the classification result, different spatial thresholds based on local knowledge are determined and used for the actual classification process. Moreover, to reduce the speckle noise and increase the spatial homogeneity of different classes of objects, a speckle suppression filter is applied to the original Pi-SAR data before applying the classification decision rule. Overall, the research indicated that the original Pi-SAR polarization components can be successfully used for separation of different land cover types without taking taking special polarization transformations.
