A Study on the Establishment and Application of Evaluation Criteria for Old Railway Station Considering the Level of Railway Service (철도 서비스수준을 고려한 노후철도역사 평가기준 마련 및 적용방안)

  • The total number of railroad stations managed in Korea is 322 (including general and wide-area railways), and a considerable number of stations are aging. In terms of the size of the existing railway station and the number of entrances, it has not been possible to secure adequate service capacity, and the demand for station improvement is increasing due to changes in surrounding conditions such as urban development. In the past, railroad stations were focused on the simple function of a connection passage in terms of maintenance or management, but in recent years, railroad stations are also changing to an atmosphere that they should be reborn as a user-centered comfortable, convenient, and safe service provision space. In this study, a case study related to the improvement of the old railway station was conducted to derive an improvement plan that meets the improvement standard of the old station, and the service level evaluation standard was developed. By introducing the concept of service level (LOS) in the development model, station congestion, station movement convenience, and station safety were selected as evaluation indicators. In addition, this development model applied an analytical stratification technique to divide various evaluation elements of each indicator into major and detailed elements and derive the relative importance of the elements by class. Priority for improvement was derived using the ratio of the number of E and F on the LOS for each facility. Based on this study, it is expected to be helpful in using it as an evaluation criterion for improving objective and equitable railway station.

Case Study of Barrier Free Design for Transportation Vulnerable: Focusing on Transfer Station Complex in Seoul Station (사회적 약자를 위한 장애물 없는 생활환경 설계 사례 분석: 서울역 복합환승시설을 중심으로)

  • This research analyzes Seoul station, a typical transfer station complex, focusing on the evaluation of its barrier free design suitable for vulnerable persons such as senior citizens. The analysis was conducted to assess its compliance with the "barrier-free" design standard for those with physical or other disabilities. This paper proposes a list of items to evaluate for transfer station complexes with a barrier-free design. The results showed that the overall connections and internal and sanitation facilities of (Seoul station/the design?)were excellent. However, because of the lack of transfer and guidance facilities, vulnerable persons felt uncomfortable when searching for information about transferring from one means of transport to another. Furthermore, there was an extremely high risk of accidents when they transferred to the bus station. Therefore, it is necessary to arrange the transfer information facilities, in order to improve their readability and visibility. Once this is done, vulnerable people will be able to use this station more safely and conveniently.

Performance Analysis of Scanning Scheme Using ToF for the Localization of Optics-Based Sensor Node (광신호 기반 무선 센서 노드 위치 인식을 위한 ToF 기법의 성능 분석)

  • In this paper, the performance analysis of optics-based sensor node localization using ToF (Time of Flight) scheme is conducted. Generally, the position of the sensor node is calculated on the base station. And the base station scans neighboring sensor nodes with a laser. The laser which is reflected from one sensor node, however, can be reached to the base station at different angles according to the scanning resolution. This means that the error of the reached angle can increase and one node may be recognized as different nodes. Also the power of laser can decrease because the laser signal spread. Thus the sensor node which is located at a long distance from the base station cannot be detected. In order to overcome these problems which can be occurred in localization using ToF, the beam spot, the scanning resolution, the size of reflector and the power of laser at the sensor node were analyzed. It can be expected that the consequence of analysis can be provided in acquisition of accurate position of sensor node and construction of optics-based sensor node localization system.

Design and Implementation of Distributed Charge Signal Processing Software for Smart Slow and Quick Electric Vehicle Charge

  • As environmental pollution and fossil fuel energy problems from fuel vehicle have occurred, the interest of electric vehicle(EV) has increased. EV industry and energy industry have grown dynamically in these days. It is expected that the next generation of primary transportation will be EV, and it is necessary to prepare EV infra and efficient energy management such as EV communication protocol, EV charge station, and smart grid. Those EV and energy industry fields are now on growth. Also, the study and development of them are now in progress. In this paper, distributed charge signal processing software for smart slow and quick EV charge is proposed and designed for dealing with EV charge demand. The software consists of smart slow and quick EV charge schedule engine and EV charge power distribution core. The software is designed to support two charge station types. One is normal EV charge station and the other is bus garage EV charge station. Both two types collect the data from EV charge stations, and then analyze the collected data. The software suggests optimized EV charge schedule and deliveries EV charge power distribution information to power switchboard system, and the designed software is implemented on embedded system. It is expected that the software provides efficient EV charge schedule.

  • This treatise analyzed the risk of propylene transported by railroad through quantitative analysis. As a result of survey on propylene transportation route, Iksan station, Suncheon station and Jeonju station were selected as object regions those were expected to have high accident risks. This treatise deduced the scenario of accident and the occurrence rate in accordance with the type of accident possibly to be happening during propylene transportation through ETA( Event Tree Analysis), and expressed the level of personal, social risks after calculating the level of demage influencing over surroundings based on the evaluation for the expected accident damage through PHAST 6.53.

Analysis of Vulnerable Districts for Electronic Vehicle Charging Infrastructure based on Gas Stations (주유소 기반의 전기자동차 충전인프라 구축에 대한 취약지역 분석)

  • Car exhaust emissions are recognized as one of the key sources for climate change and electric vehicles have no emissions from tailpipe. However, the limited charging infrastructures could restrict the propagation of electric vehicles. The purpose of this study is to find the vulnerable districts limited to the charging station services after meeting the goal of Ministry of Knowledge Economy(12%). We assumed that the charging service can be provided by current gas stations. The range of the vulnerable grades was determined by the accessibility to current gas stations and the vulnerable regions were classified considering the optimal number of charging stations estimated by the efficiency function. We used 4,827 sub-municipal divisions and 11,677 gas station locations for this analysis. The results show that most of mountain areas are vulnerable and the fringe areas of large cities generally get a good grade for the charging infrastructure. The gangwon-do, jeollanam-do, gyeongsangbuk-do, and chungcheongnam-do include more than 40% vulnerable districts.

Design of Detention Pond and Critical Duration of Design Rainfall in Seoul

  • This study is to determine the critical duration of design rainfall and to utilize it for the design of detention pond with pump station. To examine the effect of the duration and temporal distribytion of the design rainfall, Huff's quartile method is used for the 9 cases of durations (ranges from 20 to 240 minutes) with ten years return period, and the ILLUDAS model is used for runoff analysis. The storage ratio, which is the ratio of maximum storage amounts to total runoff volume, is introduced to determine the criticalduration of design rainfall. The duration which maximizes the storage ratio is adopted as the critical duration. This study is applied to 18 urban drainage watercheds with pump station in Seoul, of which the range of watershed area is 0.24~12.70$km^2$. The result of simulation shows that the duration which maximizes storage ratio is 30 and 60 minutes on the whole. It is also shown that the storage ratios of 2nd - and 3rd-quartile pattern are larger than those of 1st- and 4th-quartile pattern of temporal distribution. A simplified empirical formula for Seoul area is suggested by the regression analysis between the maximum storage ratio and the peak ratio. This formula can be utilized for the preliminary design and planning of detention pond with pump station.

Mitochondria in reproduction

  • In reproduction, mitochondria produce bioenergy, help to synthesize biomolecules, and support the ovaries, oogenesis, and preimplantation embryos, thereby facilitating healthy live births. However, the regulatory mechanism of mitochondria in oocytes and embryos during oogenesis and embryo development has not been clearly elucidated. The functional activity of mitochondria is crucial for determining the quality of oocytes and embryos; therefore, the underlying mechanism must be better understood. In this review, we summarize the specific role of mitochondria in reproduction in oocytes and embryos. We also briefly discuss the recovery of mitochondrial function in gametes and zygotes. First, we introduce the general characteristics of mitochondria in cells, including their roles in adenosine triphosphate and reactive oxygen species production, calcium homeostasis, and programmed cell death. Second, we present the unique characteristics of mitochondria in female reproduction, covering the bottleneck theory, mitochondrial shape, and mitochondrial metabolic pathways during oogenesis and preimplantation embryo development. Mitochondrial dysfunction is associated with ovarian aging, a diminished ovarian reserve, a poor ovarian response, and several reproduction problems in gametes and zygotes, such as aneuploidy and genetic disorders. Finally, we briefly describe which factors are involved in mitochondrial dysfunction and how mitochondrial function can be recovered in reproduction. We hope to provide a new viewpoint regarding factors that can overcome mitochondrial dysfunction in the field of reproductive medicine.

  • In recently, our social is entering to service infinite competitive time., So If companys don't give satifactory and an impression customers, they don't exist. The Companies that operate railway are promoted(Seoul metro). The Korail, Seol metropolitan Rapid Transit Corperation, Incheon Rapid Transit Corporation), they are into a stronger competitor. So the service for customer is more inportant to improve the image and administration than before. Especially, station workers who work near the customer are important for cooperation image. But, there are only a few employees to operate the station like ticketing in railway station, There aren't reinforcement the service employees and expanse the utility system. especially, since the transportation card is introduced in 1996, the customers who use the T-Money card are increased. So the change of service system is necessary to provide a substantial service to customer.   • 이동 통신은 대기를 전달매체로 하고 이동단말기를 사용하기 때문에 가로채기나 불법사용과 같은 공격에 취약하다. 이를 극복하기 위해, 이동 통신 환경에서 이동단말기와 기지국 사이에 안전한 통신을 제공하기 위한 많은 프로토콜들이 제안되어왔다. 그러나 이동단말기의 부족한 계산능력과 전력량 때문에 공개키를 이용한 프로토콜들은 많은 장점에도 불구하고 충분히 활용되지 못했다. 본 논문에서는 이동 통신 환경에서 기지국과 이동단말기 사이의 상호인증 및 세션키 공유 프로토콜들의 성능을 향상시킬 수 있는 기법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 기법은 이동단말기의 비밀 정보를 기지국에게 드러나게 하지 않으면서 많은 계산을 기지국으로 하여금 대신 수행하도록 하는 것이다. 제안된 기법은 기존의 프로토콜들을 최대 5배까지 성능을 향상시키며 해당하는 만큼 이동단말기의 전력량 소모를 감소시킬 수있다.Abstract Mobile communication is more vulnerable to security attacks such as interception and unauthorized access than fixed network communication. To overcome these problems, many protocols have been proposed to provide a secure channel between a mobile station and a base station. However, these public-key based protocols have not been fully utilized due to the poor computing power and small battery capacity of mobile stations. In this paper, we propose techniques for accelerating public-key based key establishment protocols between a mobile station and a base station. The proposed techniques enable a mobile station to borrow computing power from a base station without revealing its secret information. The proposed schemes accelerate the previous protocols up to five times and reduce the amount of power consumption of mobile stations.
