Cable domes deform very largely because of the characteristics of flexible hybrid system and pre-tension, and include geometrical non-linearity in those structural behavior. Especially wind load is more dominant than seismic load, because cable domes are flexible structures whose bending stiffness is very small and self-weight is very light. Therefore, in this paper, the Modified Stiffly Stable Method is applied to analyze the nonlinear dynamic behavior of cable domes and compared these results with ones of the $Newmark-{\beta}$ Method which is generally used. The Seoul Olympic Gymnastic Arena is taken as an numerical example and three kinds of models with giving each different intensity of pre-tension are selected. And dynamic nonlinear behavior of cable domes are analyzed by artificial spectrum of wind velocity wave which is similar to actual wind loads.

The purposes of this study are to develop the real coding genetic algorithm and to obtain the shape optimization of a cable domes by using this scheme. Generally, the structural performance of the cable dome is influenced very sensitively by prestress, geometry and length of the mast because of flexible structures. So, it is very important to decide the optimum shape to get maximum stiffness of cable domes. We use the two models to verify the usefulness of this algorithm for shape optimization and analyze the roof system of Seoul olympic gymnastic arena as one analytical model of practical structures

This study�s purpose is to contrive the national brand image, developing sportswear design and related-culture by using tiger which represents Korea used to design sportswear�s logo and design. For the method of study, illustrator CS3 was used to design three vests and three sports shirts for both men and women by characterizing tiger image from Korean folk painting tiger. Tiger appears commonly in paintings, folk tales and literature of Korea since ancient times. It was even used as a mascot of Seoul Olympic on 1988. Many global sports companies choose an animal that represents their brand to advertise such as Lacoste, le coq sportif and musingwear, wolsey. This study could provide example design adapting korean traditional patterns, also expects for culture advertising Korean traditional culture and developing designs of Korean fashion companies.

The first introduction of reformed Korean traditional cloth in was started in the age of civilization and until liberation from imperialism it was made a reformation in faculty from Korean traditional clothing. And by 1980s western style costume took lead but after Asian Game in 1986 and Seoul Olympic in 1988 Korean traditional beauty was added to costume and there were various attempt to produce truly reformed Korean traditional clothing. The present condition of reformed Korean traditional clothing in 1990s are like this : 1) Most of reformed Korean traditional clothing ships could not fractionalize customers. So it needs to subdivide and specialize customer and investment to improvement of design. 2) A large percentage of reformed Korean traditional clothing is ordinary dresses. So it should develop various sorts and color, design and textile and be in harmony with international trend. 3) Most of shops handled a coordinate goods like a bag and shoes. 4) In the investigation customers they wanted various colors, high quality in design , logical price and a periodical sale. So four pieces of the reformed Korean traditional costumes were designed and produced based on the present condition.

This research, as a study of the documentary records, examined the process of men\`s wear development year by year, looking into the newspapers which show objectively social phenomena in those days. The outcomes therefrom were classified according to the important factors of dress and ornaments\` modeling i. e. style, color, pattern, material, ornamentation method. And then, the process of men\`s wear transition was analyzed based on the aforesaid examination with its classification. The above analyses revealed that a transition of a dress and ornaments closely correlates with a social and cultural change and also meant that the dress and ornaments symbolizes the social phenomena in those days. Thanks to the holding of Seoul Olympic Games in 1988, Korean society had tremendously grown with rapid changes in its politics, economy and culture. Also, men\`s wear type became innovative, breaking from the existing orthodox one due to the transition of men\`s viewpoints on value and their lives\` style.

The marathon course on road surfaces varies frequently in alignment horizontally and /or vertically. This fact compelled use to use a calibrated bicycle method for the course measurement, and to be required statistical approaches for data processing. This paper deals with the computation of the Seoul Olympic Marathon course lengths measured on May 18, 1986. The concept of safety factor against short course is analyzed for certification, and statistical methods are presented to compute an appropriate safety factor. The results of computation show that the best (lowest) actual measurement provides about 99.95% confidence that the combined lengths of all intervals will not be found short upon an equally accurate remeasurement.

Green landscape plan to the riverfront area of the Han River The Han River, one of the symbolic elements in metropolitan Seoul, structures an axis of waterscape as the openspace crossing east to west of the city of Seoul. As riverside urban motorway(88 Olympic motorway) and riverside public park were constructed by the Han River Comprehensive Development Project in 1986, the necessity of general plan for the in-stallation of envirommental facility belt to conserve living enviroument is being required with relation to, dense residential areas closed to the river Therefore, the goal of the study is to provide better riverview and to increase environmental purifi-cation ability as a large scale waterscape axis by the preparation of landscape plan to the riverfront area of Han River, In order to achieve the goal, the study deals with sectional speciality, the introduction of landscape assessment techniques and ecological approach to given environment. As unity is kept through whole waterfront area, the area is divided into 9 zoning sections to study development methods for each section, and themes for speciality are given to each section, and the. sort of plants which can be symboliged to the area is selected. Also, the planting methods for harmony with the type of road structure and riverscape is offered. Though the study may give significane to the image and the function of riverside road, in con-clusion, the characteristic ecological approach to the river is so limited that has not been reflected enough on the plan. It is expected that the study should be continued, and long-term riverfront openspace plan, environmentally sustainable, should be arepared.
