A Study Over the Relationship Between Apartment Prices and Distances from Expressway interchanges (In the case of the Seoul Beltway) (고속도로 인터체인지 이격거리와 주변 아파트 가격의 관계연구 (서울외곽순환고속도로 영향권을 중심으로))

  • The present study is performed to identify the relationship between apartment prices and distances from freeway interchanges. To collect consistent data and to simplify the sphere of the influence, the Seoul beltway was selected as the target road. Two sides of the Seoul beltway such as the inner side and the outer side are partitioned following the whole beltway line. The maximum distance to be taken care of in data collection was 6.0km from freeway interchanges. Results show that there exist consistent patterns between apartment prices and distances from freeway interchanges. In detail, if the apartment is located on the sphere of the influence, it is shown that a) the prices are increased overall b) the prices are low at very near of interchanges c) the prices are increasing up to the points of about 2.0~4.0km from interchanges d) the prices are decreasing after the points. Additionally, it is shown the pattern observed was following approximately a quadratic curve which is different from the liner curve obtained from the similar study over the sphere of the influence in railway(Subway).

A Case Study of Panoramic Section Image Collection Method for Measuring Density - with matched images in the Seoul Beltway Sapaesan Tunnel - (밀도측정을 위한 구간영상 최적 수집주기 결정 연구(서울 외곽순환도로 사패산 터널구간을 대상으로))

  • Density is applied both three major macroscopic traffic variables (traffic volume, speed, and density) and two measures of effectiveness (MOE) for level of service (LOS) on highway (density and V/C). Especially, it is known for the most accurate MOE on evaluating the LOS of highway. Despite such importance, there is a lack of study on density relatively than other variables for its difficulty of measurement. Existing density estimation methods have some limitations such as density values of same traffic flow vary with collecting time. In this study, we researched actual density measuring method with panoramic image, after each CCTV images in the Sapaesan Tunnel on Seoul Ring Expressway are matched into one panoramic image. Analysis through the Central Limit Theorem shows that density of 24 1 km-images, which means 24 second, applies traffic situation well. That is to say that reasonable density value regardless of collecting time, and practical density which represents actual traffic flow can be taken in case of measuring density by suggested collecting cycle.

A Study of Creating a Biotope in Namsan Urban Natural Park (남산도시자연공원내 생물서식공간 조성에 관한 연구)

  • This study was aimed to propose the plan of creating a biotope reflecting an ecological education as well as its function as the habitats of amphibian in Namsan Urban Natural Park in Seoul. There were Cheonil mineral spring area which was located on the southern side of Namsan, wetlands which was already created on the east valley(800$m^2$) and a buffer area of the circumference(1,100$m^2$) as the biotope sites. Major fields of this study include a survey of the staus, a basic plan, a master plan; a survey of this site was focused on topography, water system, existing vegetation, wildbird, amphibian, trail; a detailed plan was focused on flow plan, planting plan, facility plan. Existing vegetation was classified into 8 types; Pinus densiflora forest, Pinus densiflora planted area, Prunus sargentii-Quercus spp. forest, Pinus rigida forest, Robinia pseudoacacia forest, artificial green space, wetlands, south beltway. There were Pinus densiflora planted area and Prunus sargentii-Quercus spp. forest as major vegetations of this site. 14 species and 33 individuals of wildbirds appeared, Rana temporaria ornativentris and Hynobius leechi were investigated in the wetlands.In particular, habitats of amphibian were divided eco-zone, buffer-zone and restore-zone, and habitats and facilities which would be suitable for the characteristics of each space were planned. As a result, environment elements of good habitats including spawn wetlands of amphibian, harbor of amphibian, water plant of wetland, wild shrubs forest, ecological landscape forest, wetland observation trail, fence of wetland protection and ramp by pebble and log were created at the site. The amphibian biotope of Namsan is rated high as an important space for conserving biodiversity. Accordingly, continuous monitoring of this biotope as a urban habitat is required as the environment changes.

Study on Effect of Low Visibility Condition at Nighttime on Traffic Accident (야간의 시인성 저하가 교통사고에 미치는 영향 진단 -경기도 지역의 경부, 서해안, 영동, 서울외곽순환고속도로를 중심으로-)

  • This Study deals with effect of low visibility condition at nighttime on traffic accident. Roads for experiment of this study are Gyeongbu expressway, Seohaean expressway, Yeongdong expressway and Seoul beltway in Gyeonggi province. For this study, I subdivided basic straight section of them into 58 short section. And I analyzed effect of low visibility condition by darkness at nighttime on traffic accident by using 410 traffic accidents between January 1, 2009 and June 30, 2012 on those sections. The Quasi-experimental and negative binomial regression were applied to analyze effect of low visibility condition at nighttime on traffic accident. In this study, I only analyzed visibility difference of daytime and nighttime on traffic accident except other effective variables on traffic accidents. As a result, I have found that it is for low visibility condition at nighttime to have effect on traffic accidents at such specific conditions as Los A speed is maintained in basic straight section of expressway in fine weather. And I tried to do various analysis on types and causes of traffic accidents using the result of analysis.
