Visual Sensibility Evaluation of Fancy Yarns for Hand Knitting of using Computer Knitting Simulation -Application of SDS-ONE Paint Function- (Computer Knitting Simulation을 활용한 장식사 니트소재의 시각적 감성평가 -SDS-ONE의 Paint 기능 활용-)

  • This study intended to evaluate the visual sensibility of textiles of knitting simulation through the painting function of SDS-ONE, a computer knitting system, with the use of various fancy yarns for hand knitting. For this study, six kinds of fancy yarns with difference manufacturing style and form were selected: loop yarn, tamtam yarn, fur1 yarn, fur2 yarn, ladder yarn, and tape yarn. In order to create a computer knitting simulation, paint function of SDS-ONE was employed to scan the fancy yarns for hand knitting with a scanner. Then, after the registration of the yarns as data, the yarn was brought in for knitting simulation in plain stitch with 3 gauge. After that a survey was conducted involving 60 female experts in their twenties. Using SPSS 12.0, factor analysis, reliability, Pearson correlation coefficient, ANOVA, Duncan test, and regression analysis were performed to analyze the collected data. First, according to the result of analyzing the visual sense factor, three factors of the 'inflexibleness/ruggedness sense', 'lightweight sense', and 'smoothness sense' was extracted. According to the result of analyzing the visual sensibility factor, three factors of the 'activity', 'grace', and 'purity' was extracted. Second, With regard to preference and purchase intention, the knitted fabric with tamtam yarn(H2) was preferred than the other samples, indicating that the respondents had intention to purchase it. As for word-of-mouth intention, H2 ranked the first place, implying the respondents had intention to recommend it to other people. Third, the examination of the use of products each knitting simulation knit found that sweater and muffler are the most appropriate knit products. And H2 was the most suitable sample for sweater and muffler products. This study tried to prove that knit textile can be visually evaluated through a computer knitting simulation without the actual knitting and then to provide accurate data to related companies or the academic circle.

  • The goods development considering the foot characteristics of Korean and design of the sports shoes need to satisfy the customer emotion. For this, the sports shoes have to give the customer desire and satisfaction and be accomplished the distinction and luxury of goods for sports shoes. This study obtained a basic data on the customer preference and emotion with human sensibility ergonomics approach and formed the database to use easily. Also based on the database, this study developed an interface which the customer be able to select the sports preferred shoes.

Yellow Image and Formative Properties in Modern Fashion (현대패션에 나타난 노랑의 조형성과 이미지)

  • The purpose of the study is to clarify yellow image and formative properties in modern fashion. For the study of formative properties 230 kinds of costume samples being visual power in yellow have been selected from photographs in fashion magazines and divided into tones: vivid(S, B, Dp), vague(L, Lgr, D), bright(Vp, P, B). For the study of image 30 kinds of costume samples is used. The Study was measured by using Semantic Differential method. The subjects were 50 students majoring in clothing and textile. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, ANOVA, MDS and regression analysis. The results of analysis are as follow: 1. Factor analysis has extracted 4 factors of yellow image in the fashion. These factor are Attractiveness, Cheerfulness, Hardness and Softness, Gorgeousness. 2. There were significant difference in visual evaluation of yellow tones. 3. Evaluative dimensions of yellow was classified as Soft-Hard, Gorgeous-Unpretentious. 4. The mage effect on Preference, Buying needs, Pleasant and Riches was consist of complicated sensibility.

So kinds of costume sample being visual power in orange have been selected from photographs in fashion magazines and divided into the tones : mist(Vp, Lgr, L), bright(p, B), vivid(S, V, Dp). The study was measured by using 27 semantic differential hi-polar scales. The subjects were 50 female students majoring in clothing and textiles, The data was analyzed using the statistical SPSS package. The data were collected using self-administred questionnaires and analyzed by MDS, Cluster Analysis, ANOVA Sheff test and Regression analysis. The major findings of this research were as follows. 1. Evaluaion dimension of orange was classified as Feminine-Mannish, Lively-Mist.2. There were significant difference in visual evaluation of tones.3. The image effect on Preference, Buying needs, Pleasant and Riches was consist of complicated sensibility.

Evaluative dimensions of red was classified as Soft-Hard, Lively-Decent. 5. The image effect on Preference, Buying needs, Pleasant and Riches was consist of complicated sensibility.

  • 인터넷접속 시장에서 독점적 지위를 점유하여 왔던 014XY 인터넷접속 서비스 이용자가 ASDL로 전환하는 과정과 그 원인을 규명하고 향후 최저속도를 보장하는 다양한 상품의 ADSL이 출시될 경우 가입자가 선호하는 상품속도별 요금체계를 파악하기 위해 초고속 인터넷접속 서비스 선호도 및 가격감수성을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 분석결과 일반모뎀(주로 56K 모뎀) 이용자들이 ADSL 서비스로 이동하는 이유는 속도가 느리기 때문이며 이동하지 않는 이유는 서비스 이용빈도 및 이용시간이 적기 때문인 것으로 분석되었다. ADSL 이용자들의 경우 접속속도에 대해서는 만족의 비중이 높았지만 요금의 경우 불만족의 비중이 높았다. 그리고 향후 속도를 보장하는 상품이 출시될 경우 시장점유율 상승과 수익성 측면에서 긍정적인 것으로 평가되었다.

Image Quality Assessment Model of Natural Scene Based on Normal Distribution Analysis (일반 장면의 정규분포 분석을 기반으로 한 화질 측정 모형)

  • In this research, we specify the image consumers' preferred image quality ranges based on objective image quality evaluation factors and follow a method which measures preference of the natural image scenes. In other words, according to No-Reference, we select dynamic range, color, and contrast as factors of image quality measurements. For collecting sample images, we choose the preferred 200 landscapes which have over 30 recommendations by image consumers on the internet photo gallery. According to the scores of three objective factors of image quality measurements, the final expected score which means the image quality preference is measured and its total score is 100 points. In the main test, the actual image sample shows dynamic range 10 stop, LAB mean value L:54.7, A:2.96, B:-15.84, and RSC contrast 376.9. Total 200 image samples' normal distribution z value represents in dynamic range 0.21, LAB mean value L:0.15, A:0.38, B:0.13, and RSC contrast 0.08. In the standard normal distribution table, we can convert the z value as a percentage; dynamic range is 8.32%, LAB mean value is L:5.96%, A:14.8%, B:5.17%, and RSC contrast is 3.19%. And then, we convert the percentage values into the scores of 100; dynamic range is 91.68, LAB mean value is 91.36, and RSC contrast is 96.81. Therefore, we can conclude that the sample image's total mean score is 94.99 based on three objective image quality factors. Throughout our proposed image quality assessment model, we can measure the preference value of natural scenes. Also, we can specify the preferred image quality representation ranges and measure the expected image quality preference.

  • 국가 간 문화의 차이에 의하여 생활습관이나 방식이 많이 다르게 나타난다. 그 중에서도 음식은 다른 분야보다 많은 차이를 나타난다. 특히 음식의 종류에 따라 사용되는 음식도구 중 디자인요소가 동일하고 유사한 것이 있거나 다른 요소와 기능을 갖는 경우도 있다. 따라서 각 국가 간의 음식도구를 유니버설 하게 사용할 수 있는 도구 디자인 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 음식에 대한 행동분석프로세스를 개발하여 국가 간 음식문화의 차이에서 오는 공통점과 차이점을 찾아내어 공용으로 사용할 수 있는 음식도구의 디자인요소를 창의성의 관점에서 제안하기 위한 연구이다. 본 연구의 연구방법과 내용으로는 첫째, 음식에 대한 소비자행동 분석 프로세스의 개발 및 관찰을 통하여 행동분석에 대한 이론적 고찰과 현장에서 일어나고 있는 행동분석을 접목하여 음식행동분석프로세스를 개발하였다. 둘째로, 개발된 프로세스를 이용하여 국가 간 음식의 주문부터 평가까지의 과정을 비교 분석하고 나타난 현상에 대한 문제점 파악 및 이에 대한 결과물을 각 국가별 학생들을 대상으로 음식도구에 대한 디자인 개발을 진행하였다. 셋째, 국가별 개발된 디자인 안을 대상으로 선호도, 요인분석, 상관분석을 통하여 국가별 선호요소와 창의성평가요소의 상관관계를 알아보았다. 본 연구를 통하여 얻어지는 효과는 개발된 프로세스를 이용하여 국가별, 음식별, 행동별, 식당형태별로 비교분석이 가능하도록 하게 하고 얻어진 결과를 이용하여 구체적으로 음식도구 디자인에 이용할 수 있으며 국가간 동일 아이템을 디자인 교육시간에 진행시켜 대학의 디자인교육의 비교를 통하여 상호간에 협력과 상호보완으로 새로운 아이디어를 공유, 아이디어 전개에 도움이 될 수 있다.

  • For the elderly whose path-finding capability and distance perception abilities have been weakened, the study intends to provide UI design of a wrist type walking aid device which allows the elderly to receive both visual and haptic information that induces the elderly' occasional attention by utilizing currently available haptic technology. The study asked 30 the elderly older than 65 years old, target consumers of the technology, to wear a smart watch and find a path by following the directions provided by four different UI versions of Wizard of Oz. Then, the study has conducted post-experience interview. Quantitative analyses was performed their preference level, number of misguided participants and the number of deviations incurred. Based on the data collected, the study has applied grounded theory, a qualitative research methodology, in order to grasp new understanding about the research, and has consequently reached some significant implications for further research on wrist type walking aid device for the elderly, who show self-contradictory demands.
