굴착기 머신 콘트롤 기술 개발 및 생산성 향상 평가 (Development of a Machine Control Technology and Productivity Evaluation for Excavator)

  • An intelligent excavator can be divided into Machine Guidance (MG), semi-automatic, and unmanned by technology. The MG technology excavator is equipped with a tilt sensor on each link of the excavator and a GPS is installed on the excavator body to inform the user of the position of the excavator bucket end. Machine control (MC) technology that assists the user's work can be divided into semi-automatic and fully automatic technology. The semi-automatic MC equipment has already been commercialized by Komatsu and Caterpillar. The MC excavator is equipped with an electro-hydraulic system, sensors and controllers to control the excavator bucket end according to the user's needs. In this study, the semi-automated excavator modified based on manual excavator, is equipped with an electro-hydraulic system, a controller system, multi-sensors and a control algorithm is developed to assist in excavation work such as leveling and grading. By applying the developed technology, it was possible to confirm productivity improvement compared to manual digging and leveling work. In the future, further research to improve the accuracy of the hydraulic precision control and collaborative work with heterogeneous construction equipment such as dump truck and automated collaboration tasks technology could be developed.

  • We introduces a development result of semi-automatic karyotyping system using image processing method to improve a long time working of the manual method and 5% error of traditional automatic karyotying system for analyzing karyotying. The karyotyping procedures have many routine tasks such as searching metaphases, taking pictures, developing, editing, etc. There are several automatic karyotyping systems in order to reduce the task in advanced countries. However, they are very expensive, applicable to only human chromosome, and have too many functions to use easily. This paper takes aim at high quality image resolution and development of interface that can adjust brightness and contrast of image on-line. The system can be applied to animal and plants as well as human's chromosome. The system developed in this paper is applied to pig and human. The effectiveness of the system is proved by hospitals in Korea.

  • 전북 익산시 R회사에서 기 개발된 세미오토 클러치는 수동클러치 차량의 기어 변속시 클러치 페달을 밟아야하는 불편함을 해소하고자 만들어진 장치로써 클러치 페달을 밟지 않고, 운전자가 기어봉에 위치한 스위치 조작만으로도 클러치 동작을 제어할 수 있다. 차량의 변속과정에서 클러치 동작을 제어하기 위해 센서를 설치하여 차량정보를 수집하여 제어하였다. 그러나, 센서 기반의 제어기는 열악한 운전조건에서 고장 원인이 되고 있으며, 차량에 설치하고 보수하는 과정에서 시간소요가 과다하여 많은 불편을 가지고 있었다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 차량의 ECU와 CAN통신을 통해 차량의 주행정보를 수집하여 제어하고, 공압 액추에이터로 클러치를 동작시키는 세미오토 클러치를 개발하였다. 개발된 공압 액추에이터의 정상적인 동작을 위해서는 최소 3bar이상이 요구되었다.

슬라이딩모드를 이용한 자동변속기의 비선형제어 (Nonlinear Control of an Automatic Transmission Using Sliding Mode)

  • In the automatic transmission using planetary gear there exists nonlinearities due to the finite difference between gear ratios, which yield torque hole during shift and influence on the ride quality and life of clutch. Based on the reaction carrier and converter turbine speed sliding functions are defined. Nonlinear closed-loop control laws are derived using them. Computer simulation shows that the closed loop design is better than the open loop design and semi-closed loop design.

품질 검사자의 외관검사 검출력 향상방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Human Operators' Performance in Detection of External Defects in Visual Inspection)

  • Visual inspection is regarded as one of the critical activities for quality control in a manufacturing company. it is thus important to improve the performance of detecting a defective part or product. There are three probable working modes for visual inspection: fully automatic (by automatic machines), fully manual (by human operators), and semi-automatic (by collaboration between human operators and automatic machines). Most of the current studies on visual inspection have been focused on the improvement of automatic detection performance by developing a better automatic machine using computer vision technologies. However, there are still a range of situations where human operators should conduct visual inspection with/without automatic machines. In this situation, human operators'performance of visual inspection is significant to the successful quality control. However, visual inspection of components assembled into a mobile camera module belongs to those situations. This study aims to investigate human performance issues in visual inspection of the components, paying more attention to human errors. For this, Abstraction Hierarchy-based work domain modeling method was applied to examine a range of direct or indirect factors related to human errors and their relationships in the visual inspection of the components. Although this study was conducted in the context of manufacturing mobile camera modules, the proposed method would be easily generalized into other industries.

고품질 작물 재배를 위한 자동화 정량 방제 제어 시스템 개발 (Development of Automated Quantitative Spray Control System for High Quality Crop Cultivation)

  • 최근 농업 분야에 IT 기술이 결합되면서 농업자동화 시스템에 대해 많은 연구가 진행되고 있으며, 농작물의 생육환경을 자동으로 조절하는 시스템에 대한 연구도 이들 중 하나이다. 농작물의 병충해로 야기되는 피해를 방제하는 작업은 농민들의 미흡한 방제 효과에 대한 염려 때문에 수동방제나 반자동방제에 의해 수행되고 있다. 이러한 방식은 사람이 유해한 약물에 노출되거나 약제 과다 사용으로 인한 낭비 및 환경오염 등의 문제점이 있으므로 개선이 필요하다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 농약제조회사에서 제시하고 있는 권장 농약 살포량을 기준으로 경작면적에 따른 방제량을 계산하여 정량 방제를 가능하게 하는 자동화정량방제시스템을 개발하였다. 개발된 자동화정량방제시스템의 효율성을 확인하기 위해서 수동방제 및 반자동방제의 경우와 비교하여 실험하였다. 실험을 통해서 자동화된 시스템이 약제의 과다 사용을 줄일 수 있었으며, 수동방제에 버금가는 방제효과를 얻어 기존의 방제작업을 대체 할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

Semi-automatic Field Morphing : Polygon-based Vertex Selection and Adaptive Control Line Mapping

  • Image morphing deals with the metamorphosis of one image into another. The field morphing depends on the manual work for most of the process, where a user has to designate the control lines. It takes time and requires skills to have fine quality results. It is an object of this paper to propose a method capable of realizing the semi-automation of field morphing using adaptive vertex correspondence based on image segmentation. The adaptive vertex correspondence process efficiently generates a pair of control lines by adaptively selecting reference partial contours based on the number of vertices that are included in the partial contour of the source morphing object and in the partial contour of the destination morphing object, in the pair of the partial contour designated by external control points through user input. The proposed method generates visually fluid morphs and warps with an easy-to-use interface. According to the proposed method, a user can shorten the time to set control lines and even an unskilled user can obtain natural morphing results as he or she designates a small number of external control points.

다운홀 탄성파 기법용 전단파 자동 가진원의 개발 (Development of Automatic Shear-wave Source for Downhole Seismic Method)

  • 지반의 전단파 속도 주상도를 도출하는데 있어 다운홀 기법은 하나의 시추공을 이용하고 간단한 지표면 가진원을 사용하므로 매우 경제적이다. 현장 실험을 더욱 용이하게 하고 양질의 신호를 획득하기 위해 자동 가진원을 개발하였다. 모터-스프링 타입으로 저렴하며 현장에서 다루기 매우 용이하다. 자동 가진원은 수동 가진원에 비하여 육체적 부담을 줄여주고 실험 소요 시간을 단축시킨다. 양질의 반복성이 있는 신호를 발생시켜 결과 해석에 유리하다. 자동 가진원과 더불어 적절한 감지기 시스템, 노트북 기반 신호 획득 장비 및 운용 프로그램과의 조합을 통해 반자동 다운홀 수행 시스템을 구축하였다. 수동 가진원과의 비교 검증 실험을 통해 제작된 자동 가진원의 장점들을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 구축된 수행 시스템의 현장 적용을 통해 용이하고 신뢰성 있는 기법 수행을 위해서 시스템을 자동화하는 것이 유리함을 알 수 있었다.

  • The semi-active recoil system provides automatic hydraulic pressure and recoil length by an exteral impulse compared with the conventional recoil system. We developed the proto type of recoil system and validated the performance through simulation and experiment. The main issue of the system is how to adjust pressure and length simultaneously. The system consists of external pressure control valve and flow control valve outside of cylinder. The pressure control valve control the cylinder pressure and recoil length. The controlled system enhances the control performance.

  • Automatic optical alignment modules are a key technology in optical communication system. However, the optic component assembly depends highly on manual or semi-automated alignment process. In this paper, a novel alignment mechanism with minimum degree-of-freedom has been designed and theoretical models are derived from geometric optical characteristics on collimators, optical filters and optical ray alignment. The automatic alignment control algorithm has been newly developed based on the mechanism and models, and then we make fast, precise and reliable alignment through the algorithm. The reliability of developed modules has been verified with various simulations and performance evaluations.
