프로토타입 이론을 적용한 계층적 이미지 계측시스템 (A Study on Image Evaluation System based on Prototype Theory)

  • 인상이나 감성적 기호가 구매에 영향을 주는 제품군의 디과인에 있어서는 사용자 시점으로부터의 감성적 평가를 디자인 프로세스의 보다 상류단계에서부터 실시하여 그 결과를 아이디어 스케치 개량을 위한 유효한 정보로서 피드백시킬 필요가 있다. 한편 감성적 평가에 있어서, SD법(의미미분척도법)으로 대표되는 종래의 이미지 평가에서는 계측대상을 [집단적인]경향으로 취급하여 독립적으로 판단을 하도록 요구되어져 왔다. 그러나 이러한 SD법적 평가만으로는 사물인지과정에 있어서 인간의 유연한 유사성 판단능력을 평가에 반영시키기에는 불충분하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는, 직감적 판단에 의한 자극의 분류와, 계층분석법 및 퍼지적분법에 기초를 둔 계층적 이미지 평가 방법을 제안하였다. 평가 프로세스는 평가 자극 및 평가 항목의 직감적 분류, 동일 카테고리 내에서의 대표예의 선정, 각 자극의 이미지평정, 피지적분법에 의한 우선도의 산출 등의 순서에 따라 진행되며, 이러한 평가 프로세스를 상호대화적인 환경하에서 수행하기 위한 평가지원용 소프트웨어를 개발하였다.

Experimental Study on Living Room Lighting Environment for Residential Activities

  • This study performed a subjective evaluation of the Semantic Differential (SD) method for living room activities to evaluate the living room lighting environment and investigated the relationship between these through luminance distribution in the space. As a result, three factors-"lightness", "emotion" and "calmness"-have been grouped together. According to the analysis of experimental variables, difference has been observed depending on color temperature, the dimming of the ceiling & cove lights and the use of down lights and a bracket. 'Conversation with Family', 'Having Fun with Family', 'Entertaining Guests' and 'Reading a Book or Newspaper' requires "lightness". In terms of "emotion"-centered activities, 'Watching TV' is the highest, but all three factors are related. In terms of "calmness"-centered activities, 'Relaxing' is the highest.

해양경관의 어메니티 제고에 관한 연구 - 부산 항만을 중심으로 - (A study on Improvement of Amenity in the Coastal Landscapes - centered to the ports of Busan -)

  • This study was to analyze amenity of the port landscapes for North port, South port, and Gamcheon port in Busan. Amenity related variables came from Semantic Differential(SD) method and then were conducted by the factor analysis. Multiple regression was done for the relationship between the amenity and factors. The result found 3 factors, including dynamics, stability, and familarity. Much importance was placed on dynamics among them. Therefore, building port landscapes and their image attracting tourists should consider dynamics in terms of port landscape plan and tourist attraction development for amenity quality management.

쾌적성 평가지표로서 시각 및 청각정보의 영향에 관한 연구 (A study on the Visual and Aural Information Effect as the Amenity Evaluation Index)

  • This study aims to derive the effect of road traffic noise perception by the visual and aural information through a laboratory experiment. To verify the result more precisely, ME(Magnitude Estimation) and SD(Semantic Differential Method) evaluation on the effect of visual and aural effect were carried out by 43 university students. As the result, up to 10% of psychological reduction effect was shown under the 65dB(A). As the noise level, it was analyzed that the vision affected about 7dB(A) and sound affected 5dB(A). However, if these two are given simultaneously, mainly sound affects to reduce the annoyance of noise and the vision next. Compared with the urban central circumstances, this effect(2dB(A) under 65dB(A) noise) was shown smaller than field test.

  • The relationship between riding comfort and the properties of flexible polyurethane foam used in car seats was quantitatively illustrated through vibration experiments with humans sitting in car seats, which were vertically shaken by vibrator. Riding comfort was estimated according to SD (Semantic Differential)-method using questionnaire, and was analyzed with a factor analysis which demonstrated the principal factors of riding comfort. At the same time, riding comfort was related to the properties of the flexible polyurethane foam with coefficients of correlation. It was also related to the behaviour of its vibration of humans sitting in the seats. As a result, it was demonstrated that the relationship between riding comfort and the flexible polyurethane foam properties varies according to the frequency of the vibration shaking the human sitting in the seat. and it was demonstrated that the frequency dependence of the relationship is strongly affected by the physical changes of the vibration modes of the human-seat vibration system.

Subjective Timbre Space of 45 Modified Violin Tones

  • In this paper we studied the reduced subjective timbre space of time-varying tones as well as steady state tones. 45 modified test tones were constructed from the original violin tone in consideration of 4 physical factors: spectrum envelope, inharmonicity, time-varying spectrum and time reversal. The semantic differential (SD) method was used in the listening test. According to the factor analysis, the adjectives can be factorized into 4 groups. The first factor is characterized by the adjectives, 'free', 'broad', 'deep', 'rich', 'strong' and 'reverberant', the second by 'tenor', 'clear', 'bright', 'light' and 'sharp', the third by 'easy', 'smooth', and 'solid', the fourth by 'warm' and 'full'. The first factor, 'richness', seems to be dependent upon the time-varying characteristic of a tone. The second factor, 'sharpness', is shown to play an important role in a time-varying tone as well as in a steady state tone.

  • Tourists travel demand can be divided into the watch the natural landscape, such as shopping, entertainment and other projects. Each travel demand with motivation for meet the requirements of appropriate tourism space environment in order to complete. In this paper, through questionnaire investigation and SD (Semantic Differential) method for the basic attributes of shopping tourists and spatial characteristics of commercial pedestrian street. And analyzes the basic attributes of shopping as the main demand of tourists characteristics and the spatial characteristics of the suitable shopping demand, to provide a scientific basis for the design of tourist shopping space.

  • The brand power is getting more important in apartment market so that consumers are accustomed to ask first what the apartment brand is when they are considering to buy an apartment. Even so the brand name is the first factor which approaches to the consumer, message and image can be delivered to customers by visual factors. Since visual image can be effective to remind of customers brand image, construction business company should make portfolio to synthesize brand Image actively. This research investigate images of consistency in extenor and interior design according to the apartments brand. Used lexical meaning of the adjective used to discern standard to extract images, selected survey, and evaluated by step 1 to 5 using semantic differential method, SD. The collected cases are analyzed by using statistics software SPSS for windows release 11.0. This research provides conveyance of the vision image which fits to the brand Image and further design direction.

인간의 감성을 고려한 보도경관 설계모형에 관한 연구 (Design of Sidewalk Landscape Considering Human Sensibility)

  • 최근 도시의 급속한 발전과 시민들의 교통문화 의식이 향상되어 물리적인 요인뿐만 아니라 정서적인 측면을 동시에 고려한 보다 나은 보행환경을 요구하고 있는 실정이다. 또한 최소의 물리적인 설계 기준만을 충족시킨 기존의 보행공간이 보행 기피의 한 원인이 되고 있으므로 보행환경의 개선이 필요한 실정이다. 보행환경 개선을 위해서는 우리나라 보행자들이 편안하고 쾌적하게 느끼는 보행환경이 무엇인지를 파악하는 것이 매우 중요하다고 볼 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 SD 척도의 조사기법을 이용하여 인간의 정서적인 측면을 고려할 수 있는 감성공학을 적용한 보행환경 실험을 실시하였다 그리고 SD 척도에 의한 감성형용사의 감성인지를 분석하는데 유용한 LISREL 모형을 이용하여 보도경관의 인지평가 모형과 보도 설계요소의 감성인지 모형을 구축하였다 그 결과 보도 설계시 감성공학을 도입함으로써 쾌적하고 편안한 보도환경 구현이 가능하며 가로수 등의 식재를 통한 녹색환경을 조화롭게 구성하는 것이 무엇보다 중요함을 알 수 있었다
