Design of Food Waste Trading E-Commerce Service with IoT-based Capacity Information Collection (사물인터넷 기반의 용량 정보 수집을 통한 음식물 쓰레기 전자상거래 서비스의 설계)

  • This paper proposes an E-Commerce service that supports large quantities of food waste sales generated by collective residences, including apartments, to consumers in urban areas, such as livestock farmers, through online transactions. Unlike general E-Commerce, the proposed service uses a smart food waste bin equipped with an IoT-based sensor and communication module to automatically collect the location information of each apartment and the amount of food waste to be displayed in a specialized E-Commerce platform. The key of this system is to provide information and sell it to consumers. The smart food waste bin periodically delivers its current capacity and location using a weight sensor, GPS sensor and LoRa communication module to a cloud-based database to be used in web or mobile applications. The proposed E-Commerce service is expected to help resolve the food waste disposal problem and revitalize the local economy by linking with a service that delivers food waste from each apartment to a nearby location where the buyer is located.

Dessert Ateliers Recommendation Methods for Dessert E-commerce Services

  • Dessert Ateliers (DA) are small shops that sell high-end homemade desserts such as macaroons, cakes, and cookies, and their popularity is increasing according to the emergence of small luxury trends. Even though each DA sells the same kinds of desserts, they are differentiated by the personality of their pastry chef; thus, there is a need to purchase desserts online that customers cannot see and purchase offline, and thus dessert e-commerce has emerged. However, it is impossible for customers to identify all the information of each DA and clearly understand customers' preferences when buying desserts through the dessert e-commerce. When a dessert e-commerce service provides a DA recommendation service, customers can reduce the time they hesitate before making a decision. Therefore, this paper proposes two kinds of DA recommendation method: a clustering-based recommendation method that calculates the similarity between customers' content and DAs and a dynamic weighting-based recommendation method that trains the importance of decision factors considering customer preferences. Various experiments were conducted using a real-world dataset to evaluate the performance of the proposed methods and it showed satisfactory results.

  • Social commerce is simply a kind of e-commerce by adopting SNS(Social networking service). It has been spread as SNS is widely used all over the world. In this situation, companies attempt to make the best use of social commerce to understand its advertising effect and to sell more products and/or services they provide. Although social commerce is a recent trend in Korea, it is necessary for companies to find a way to effectively adopt and utilize the social commence. Therefore, the focus of this study is to identify critical success factors for social shopping. We generated 40 items to measure 8 constructs. Using data collected from 300 respondents who have experienced both SNS and social shopping, we analyzed our model and its hypotheses. The analysis result shows that social shopping customers don't use SNS to get information when they purchase products and/or services in social shopping web sites.

  • Advancing information technology have rapidly changed our service environment of life, culture, and industry. Computer information communication system is applied in medical, health, distribution, and business transaction. Smart is using new information by combining ability of computer and information. Although agriculture is labor intensive industry that requires a lot of hands, agriculture is becoming knowledge-based industry today. In agriculture field, computer communication system is applied on facilities farming and machinery Agricultural. In this paper, we designed and implemented application that provides personalized agriculture related information at the actual farming field. Also, this provides farmer a system that they can directly auction or sell their produced crops. We designed and implemented a system that parsing information of each seasonal, weather condition, market price, region based, crop, and disease and insects through individual setup on ubiquitous environment using location-based sensor network and processing data.

Optimal Two-part Tariffs of Telecommunication Services as an Input (생산요소로서 통신서비스의 최적이부요금)

  • Telecommunication services are typically offered with two-part tariffs which consist of the access charges and the usage charges. In the previous analyses of optimal two-part tariffs, consumers have been assumed to be final users. In this paper, we take the telecommunication service as an input factor which is purchased by business consumers. We proposed a two-stage market model in which the good in queston is produced by an upstream monopolist and purchased as an input by firms and they sell their final outputs in a downstream market. We derive the optimal two-part tariffs of inputs in the case of oligopolistic downstream market with heterogeneous downstream firms. It is shown that two-part tariffs are more desirable than uniform prices from a welfare standpoint. It is also shown that if an upstream monopolist earns positive profits, usage charge is less than marginal cost in the optimal two-part tariffs.

  • The low price around 1000 USD makes consumer 3D printers as a new additive manufacturing platform for the personal manufacturing where consumers can make and sell their own products. To allow the consumers to design and manufacture their products, not only economic 3D printers but also supporting information systems for their design and manufacturing are essential. This study suggests an extended product data management (PDM) system that can support both the design and manufacturing of personal products with consumer 3D printing services. This extended PDM system helps consumer designers use advanced PDM technologies for their design and connected 3D printing services with Internet of Things (IoT) technology for realization of their products. As a result, the proposed system supports the consumer designers a seamless integrated product development and manufacturing environment supported by PDM and consumer 3D printing services.

  • The marketing environment of recent security business has been changed as goods and service have been changed variously. Under this condition, the security corporations have been trying to have good relationship with customers and to have high gains as well. But the management of the customers in the bond marketing is not enough. Then, this paper suggests some methods to promote the CRM at bond brokerage in order to make profits in the security corporation. First, the customers will know the earning rate of the bond that they have and also they can analysis the difference selling the bond and keeping it until the due date. The developed bond management system analyzes customers' preference from questionaire which is responded by customers. It also can make customers actively sell and buy the bond through recommendations corresponding with customers' preference. Moreover, this paper suggests the video conference consulting system for close relationship with corporation and customers. We have tested this bond management system and we expect that this system activates the buying and selling of the bond that non-experts can easily invest bonds and the security corporations can increase profit.

An Analysis of Quality Efficiency of Loan Consultants in a Bank using Shannon's Entropy and PCA-DEA Model (Entropy와 PCA-DEA 모형을 이용한 은행 대출상담사의 서비스 품질 효율성 분석)

  • Loan consultants assist clients with loan application processing and loan decisions. Their duties may include contacting people to ask if they want a loan, meeting with loan applicants and explaining different loan options. We studied the efficiency of service quality of loan consultants contracted to a bank in Korea. They do not work as a team, but do work independently. Since he/she is not an employee of the bank, the consultant is paid solely in proportion to how much he/she sell loans. In this study, a consultant is considered as a decision making unit (DMU) in the DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) model. We use a principal component analysis-data envelopment analysis (PCA-DEA) model integrated with Shannon's Entropy to evaluate quality efficiency of the consultants. We adopt a three-stage process to calculate the efficiency of service quality of the consultants. In the first stage, we use PCA to obtain 6 synthetic indicators, including 4 input indicators and 2 output indicators, from survey results in which questionnaire items are constructed on the basis of SERVQUAL model. In the second stage, 3 DEA models allowing negative values are used to calculate the relative efficiency of each DMU. In the third stage, the weight of each result is calculated on the basis of Shannon's Entropy theory, and then we generate a comprehensive efficiency score using it. An example illustrates the proposed process of evaluating the relative quality efficiency of the loan consultants and how to use the efficiency to improve the service quality of the consultants.

  • Local festival in Korea has developed quantitatively as well qualitatively. Driving force of local festival's development is local governments' active supports. Many Local government support local festival opening actively to accomplish economic activation. Activation of local festivals is good chance to local start-up companies. Local start-up companies don't have well known brand, and wide distribution network. But they can sell their products to visitors in local festival. And if fortune smiles upon them, they can get big buyers in local festivals. If so, what factors can contribute to a increase sales of local start-up companies? Different from existing research that focus on tour industrial outcome, we will focus on effect of festival service quality on increase sales. The survey is using structured questionnaire, we surveyed visitors who visit local start-up companies' booth in festival site. According to survey result, first, each dimensions of festival service quality do not effect on purchase intention directly except empathy dimension. Second, each dimensions of festival service quality effect on purchase intention by a medium of local image indirectly except assurance dimension. And purchase intention have a great effect on purchase action. Through the results, we can confirm festival service quality effect on purchase intention by a medium of local image indirectly. we suggest that improving festival service quality can effect on sales increase of local start-up companies, and for the purpose of sales increase, local government must improve local image at first.

  • Demands of customers are being changed and varied. And in this circumstance, it become a main issue of management that the company should produce and sell products according to the customer demands. With these trends, each company has been concentrating effects on generalization of product development technique and distinction of service for customer. To fulfill these demands of customer, they need a concept of eCRM(Web based Customer Relationship Management), and go from soiling products and services, or gathering customer requests, up to the phase of solving customer's problem by real time or previous action. With the help of internet, the frequency and speed of the problem solving has improved greatly. In the Supply chain, The ATP(Available to Promise) function doesn't only give customers to conformation of delivery. It can be used by the core function with ATP rule that can reconcile supplies and demands on the supply chain. Therefore We can be acquire the conformation about on the due date of supplier by using the ATP function of management about real and concurrent access on the supply chain, also decide the affect about product availability due to forecasting or customer's orders through the ATP. In this paper, It consolidates the necessity on a ATP and analyzes data which is concerned of ATP. Under the these environments, defines the ATP rule that can improve the customer value and data flow related the eCRM and builds on a algorithm.
