Unidentified self-ignitions were reported when the high-pressure hydrogen gas suddenly leaked out. This paper presents a flow visualization study to investigate the self-ignition mechanism in a test tube how the ignition process is initiated and the flame propagates with measurement of a number of pressure and light sensors installed in the tube supported the analysis of the self-ignition. The test result showed the location of the self-ignition taken place and critical static pressure at the boundary layer for self-ignition.

In our previous research, office workers are relatively frequent in self-reported symptoms suggestive of MCS/IEI compare to construction worker who highly exposed to VOCs compounds. However in that research, the subjects were too small to say it clearly. Based on that research results, self reported symptom surveys to 110 office workers and personal exposure concentration measurement were conducted to 13 of people. VOCs exposure levels were measured within office, house and other places during a week by Passive Sampling Method. In this study, it was found that the number of office workers who met the operational criteria of MCS/IEI was 23.6% similar to 24.5% of previous result, and average of TVOC concentration was appeared high state by order of office, house, and personal exposure.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to systematically review the measurement tools that are used to assess the pain of intensive care unit (ICU) patients. Method : In this systematic review, the studies published between 2009 and 2018 were selected based on the PRISMA flow chart. Data sources included MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL, and Cochran. We assessed the quality of pain assessment tools reported in individual studies using Terwee et al.'s the Quality Criteria for Measurement Properties. Results : We reviewed 67 studies and 12 pain assessment tools that included two self-reported, seven observational, and three multifaced tools with observations and physiological indicators. The most frequently used tool was the Critical Care Pain Observation Tool. The Multidimensional Observational Pain Assessment Tool was rated the highest quality. Nine of the ten tools that included observations reported content validity, four reported construct validity and nine reported correlation coefficient. Conclusion : It was found that observational tools are appropriate for assessing pain in ICU patients with limited communication skills. To increase the validity and reliability of pain assessment in ICU patients, further research on the physiological indicators of pain is needed.
A very simple a.c. magnetic susceptometer for use in a helium closed cycle cryostat is reported in this paper. This simple setup has only a single bobbin-less copper coil, instead of the primary coil and two secondary coils typically used in mutual-inductance types. The single bobbin-less copper coil is directly mounted on the cryostat cold head. A sample is attached on the inside wall of the copper coil using a thermal contact material and its a.c. magnetic susceptibility is obtained from the measurement of the self-inductance of the sample coil using an LCR meter or an impedance analyzer. Experimental details are described and illustrative measurements on magnetic and superconducting materials as a function of temperature are included. The performances and limitations of this simple a.c. magnetic suceptometer are also discussed.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore self-reported perceived stigma, self-efficacy, and quality of life among psychiatric outpatients Methods: In the present study, researchers analyzed the survey responses of 195 patients recruited in the S hospital psychiatry outpatient clinic. The measurement tools used in this study were the "Devaluation & Discrimination" scale to determine perceptions of stigmatization, general and social efficacy scales to measure self-efficacy, and the "General Well-Being Index" to measure quality of life in psychiatric outpatient. Statistical analysis included means with standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation coefficients to identify relationships between the variables. Results: There was a significant difference in self-perceived stigma and quality of life in psychiatric outpatients (r=-.233, p=.001) and a negative correlation between self-efficacy and quality of life (r=-.424, p=.000). Correlation analysis results support the hypothesis that higher self-perceived stigma scores were related to reduced quality of life among patients with schizophrenia (r=-.231, p=.021), while there was a positive correlation between self-perceived stigma scores and self-efficacy scores among patients with bipolar disorder (r=.362, p=.013). Conclusion: The findings suggest that nursing imtervention strategies should include education programs to reduce stigmatization and enhance self-efficacy and quality of life among patients with chronic psychiatric illnesses.

Background & Objectives: Self-rated health has been widely used to evaluate health status and accepted as a subjective measurement of quality of life. This study aimed to analyze the associations between self-rated health, health promotion behaviors, and mental health factors and suggest the approaches to improve health status among university students. Methods: Two thousand six hundred seventy-seven students who had stayed at dormitories on campus participated in the DU health survey by self-reported questionnaire from April 10 to 14, 2017. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to estimate the odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals of association of self-rated health with health-related factors among male and female students. Results: 38.6% of the respondents reported good self-rated health. Male and first-year students were more likely to report good self-rated health than female and third-year students. There were significant differences in sex, grade, health problems, BMI, sleeping hours, eating breakfast, consumption of fruits and vegetables, physical activity (regular walking, strength exercise, moderate exercise, vigorous exercise), perceived stress, depression, and suicide thought (p<0.05). Conclusion: Although health promotion programs for university students are essential to support their adaptation to campus life and academic achievement, evidence-based health programs to encourage their participation are still insufficient. Therefore, it should establish a campus-based health policy and develop health promotion programs to increase self-rated health levels and prevent mental health problems for university students.

The classical queuing analysis has been tremendously useful in doing capacity planning and performance prediction. However, in many real-world cases. it has found that the predicted results form a queuing analysis differ substantially from the actual observed performance. Specially, in recent years, a number of studies have demonstrated that for some environments, the traffic pattern is self-similar rather than Poisson. In this paper, we study these self-similar traffic characteristics and the definition of self-similar stochastic processes. Then, we consider the examples of self-similar data traffic, which is reported from recent measurement studies. Finally, we wish you that it makes out about the characteristics of actual data traffic more easily.
The purpose of this study was to identify the long-term effects of the self-help program for arthritis patients. The subjects were 126 patients who have participated in the 6-week self-help program from 1997 to 2000, agreed to participate in this study by telephone interview and responded the mailed questionnaires. The measurement tools of this study were all self-reported questionnaires such as Numerical Pain Rating Scale, the number of pain sites, Korean Health Assessment Questionnaire, Numerical Fatigue Rating Scale, CES-D depression scale, Self-efficacy scale, Social support scale. The repeated measure ANOVA revealed the significant differences among the pre post follow-up pain and fatigue. Whileas there were no significant differences the pre post follow-up pain site and physical functioning. And there were also no significant differences the pain, pain site, fatigue and physical functioning among three groups according to the duration of follow-up. These results suggested that the follow-up program after the self-help program was completed would be helpful for the physical wellbeing of arthritis patients.
Purpose: A diverse range of measurement methods to evaluate the effect of smoking is more powerful than using a single measure. The objectives of this study were to examine the relationships among smoking pack year, self-reported smoking dependence, and urinary cotinine levels, and to investigate the psychological variables in working men. Method: In this cross-sectional study, we surveyed men working in an electronic company who participated in a smoking cessation program. Among 57 men who completed questionnaires, 25 participate in a test for cotinine levels. Results: Smoking pack year was significantly and positively correlated with the FTND-K (Korean version of Fagerstrom test for nicotine dependence) sum scores (r=0.631, p=0.000) and with the levels of urine cotinine (r=0.463, p=0.023). The relationship between FTND-K sum scores and urinary cotinine levels was also significantly positive (r=0.639, p=0.001). Those with higher social support, especially family support, tended to perceive a higher self-efficacy to smoking cessation. Conclusion: These findings suggest that self-reported smoking pack year and nicotine dependence in working men may be a valid way to evaluate the effect of smoking. A supportive family may influence smoking cessation in working men as it increases self-efficacy to avoid smoking.
This article reviewed & analyzed 33 studies of the Health Belief Model applied to korean chronic ill patients which were published from 1975 to 1990. The findings of analysis are as follows. The subjects of researchs are patients with various chronic illness including Pulmonary Tb., DM., Hemodialysis & Kindney Transplantation, Hypertension, etc. The type of research is retrospective survey in all studies. The measurement of health' belief in all studies & sick role behavior in most studies have relied on self report. The analysis of the relationship between health belief and sick role behavior was done using correlation coefficient in most studies. To analyze empirical support for the relatiohship between health belief and sick role behavior, Significance ratio was computed. This ratio is value wherein the number of statistically significant findings with relationship in the expected direction for an HBM dimension are divided by total number of studies which reported significance levels for that dimension. Examination of this ratio across the 33 studies reveals susceptibility(30.3%), severity(34.4%), benifit(65.6%), barrier(50%). The following suggestions are based on the above findings and literature review. 1. It is necessary to develop the reliable, valid and standadized instrument for measurement of health beliefs. 2. In the further 'measurement of perceived susceptibility of the chronic ill patients, It is considering that the perceived susceptibility and perceived severity are measured together or the measurement of perceived, susceptibility is eliminated. 3. Relationship between perceived severity and sick role behavior is suggested to be analized using ANOV A, $x^2$ square instead of correlation coefficient. 4. Sick role behaviors should be measured by both self report and objective measurement. 5. Prospective, longitudinal survey should be needed. 6. Other factors influencing sick role behaviors of chronic ill patients should be investigated further.
