  • This paper proposes a self-organizing fuzzy modeling(SOFUM)which an create a new hyperplane shaped cluster and adjust parameters of the fuzzy model in repetition. The suggested algorithm SOFUM is composed of four steps: coarse tuning. fine tuning cluster creation and optimization of learning rates. In the coarse tuning fuzzy C-regression model(FCRM) clustering and weighted recursive least squared (WRLS) algorithm are used and in the fine tuning gradient descent algorithm is used to adjust parameters of the fuzzy model precisely. In the cluster creation, a new hyperplane shaped cluster is created by applying multiple regression to input/output data with relatively large fuzzy entropy based on parameter tunings of fuzzy model. And learning rates are optimized by utilizing meiosis-genetic algorithm in the optimization of learning rates To check the effectiveness of the suggested algorithm two examples are examined and the performance of the identified fuzzy model is demonstrated via computer simulation.

  • In this paper, we introduce the advanced Self-Organizing Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Network based on optimized FPN by evolutionary algorithm and discuss its comprehensive design methodology involving mechanisms of genetic optimization, especially genetic algorithms (GAs). The proposed model gives rise to a structurally and parametrically optimized network through an optimal parameters design available within Fuzzy Polynomial Neuron(FPN) by means of GA. Through the consecutive process of such structural and parametric optimization, an optimized and flexible the proposed model is generated in a dynamic fashion. The performance of the proposed model is quantified through experimentation that exploits standard data already used in fuzzy modeling. These results reveal superiority of the proposed networks over the existing fuzzy and neural models.

  • This paper proposes a self-organizing fuzzy modeling which can create a new hyperplane-shaped cluster by applying multiple regression to input/output data with relatively large fuzzy entropy, add the new cluster to fuzzy rule base and adjust parameters of the fuzzy model in repetition. Tn the coarse tuning, weighted recursive least squared algorithm and fuzzy C-regression model clustering are used and in the fine tuning, gradient descent algorithm is used to adjust parameters of the fuzzy model precisely And learning rates are optimized by utilizing meiosis-genetic algorithm. To check the effectiveness and feasibility of the suggested algorithm, four representative examples for system identification are examined and the performance of the identified fuzzy model is demonstrated in comparison with that of the conventional fuzzy models.

  • In this study, we proposed genetically optimized self-organizing fuzzy polynomial neural network based on information granulation and evolutionary algorithm (gdSOFPNN), develop a comprehensive design methodology involving mechanisms of genetic optimization. The proposed gdSOFPNN gives rise to a structural Iy and parametrically optimized network through an optimal parameters design available within FPN (viz. the number of input variables, the order of the polynomial, input variables, the number of membership functions, and the apexes of membership function). Here, with the aid of the information granulation, we determine the initial location (apexes) of membership functions and initial values of polynomial function being used in the premised and consequence part of the fuzzy rules respectively. The performance of the proposed gdSOFPNN is quantified through experimentation that exploits standard data already used in fuzzy modeling.

  • In this paper, we propose Self-organizing neurofuzzy networks(SONFN) and discuss their comprehensive design methodology. The proposed SONFN is generated from the mutually combined structure of both neurofuzzy networks (NFN) and polynomial neural networks(PNN) for model identification of complex and nonlinear systems. NFN contributes to the formation of the premise part of the SONFN. The consequence part of the SONFN is designed using PNN. The parameters of the membership functions, learning rates and momentum coefficients are adjusted with the use of genetic optimization. We discuss two kinds of SONFN architectures and propose a comprehensive learning algorithm. It is shown that this network...

  • In this Paper, we Propose a new neuro-fuzzy modeling using clustering-based learning method. In the proposed clustering method, number of clusters is automatically inferred and its parameters are optimized simultaneously, Also, a neuro-fuzzy model is learned based on clustering information at same time. In the previous modelling method, clustering and model learning are performed independently and have no exchange of its informations. However, in the proposed method, overall neuro-fuzzy model is generated by using both clustering and model learning, and the information of modelling output is used to clustering of input. The proposed method improve the computational load of modeling using Subtractive clustering method. Simulation results show that the proposed method has an effectiveness compared with the previous methods.

  • Experimental software data capturing the essence of software projects (expressed e.g., in terms of their complexity and development time) have been a subject of intensive modeling. In this study, we introduce a new category of Hybrid Fuzzy Neural Networks (gHFNN) and discuss their comprehensive design methodology. The gHFNN architecture results from highly synergistic linkages between Fuzzy Neural Networks (FNN) and Polynomial Neural Networks (PNN). We develop a rule-based model consisting of a number of "if-then" statements whose antecedents are formed in the input space and linked with the consequents (conclusion pats) formed in the output space. In this framework, FNNs contribute to the formation of the premise part of the overall network structure of the gHFNN. The consequences of the rules are designed with the aid of genetically endowed PNNs. The experiments reported in this study deal with well-known software data such as the NASA dataset. In comparison with the previously discussed approaches, the proposed self-organizing networks are more accurate and yield significant generalization abilities.

  • Being aware of the risk in advance necessitates intricate processes but is feasible. Although previous studies have demonstrated high accuracy, their performance still leaves room for improvement. A self-organizing feature map (SOM) based neurofuzzy model is developed in this study to provide another alternative for forecasting corporate financial distress. The model is designed to yield high prediction accuracy, as well as reference rules for evaluating corporate financial status. As a database, the study collects all financial reports from listed construction companies during the latest decade, resulting in over 1000 effective samples. The proportion of "failed" and "non-failed" companies is approximately 1:2. Each financial report is comprised of 25 ratios which are set as the input variable s. The proposed model integrates the concepts of pattern classification, fuzzy modeling and SOM-based optimization to predict corporate financial distress. The results exhibit a high accuracy rate at 85.1%. This model outperforms previous tools. A total of 97 rules are extracted from the proposed model which can be also used as reference for construction practitioners. Users may easily identify their corporate financial status by using these rules.
