청소년의 비행과 자아존중감간의 인과적 관계에 대한 종단 연구 (A Longitudinal Study of Causal Relationships between Delinquency and Self-Esteem among Adolescents)

  • The purpose of the study was to explore the causal relationships between delinquency and self-esteem among adolescents. The subjects of this study were 497 adolescents attending middle schools in Pusan. The data was collected by longitudinal research design of 9 month interval In first, second wave, the participants completed the delinquency scale and the multidimensional self-esteem inventory that includes home self, peer-related self, teacher-related self, academic-general serif, physical appearance self, physical competence self, and personality self, respectively The major findings of this study were as follows: these causal relationships differed among subdimensions of self-esteem, 1)the causal relationship between delinquency and home self was bidirectional, 2)the causal relationship between delinquency and peer-related self, teacher-related self, academic-general self, and personality self was unidirectional, 3)the causal relationship between delinquency and physical appearance self, physical competence self was not statistically significant.

퍼스널 이미지의 구성요소와 셀프리더십과의 관계 연구 (The Study on the Relation of the Components for Personal Image and Self-Leadership)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of personal image on self-leadership. The experimental study showed relationship between the variables of personal image and self-leadership by using personal image questionnaires and a revised self-leadership questionnaire both extracted from the literature study. The results of this study are as follows. First, six factors of self-leadership were drawn as the reliability and validity of were verified. The factors of self-leadership and the components for personal images showed a significant correlation. Second, the satisfaction rates of the components for personal image showed significant effects on three factors(performed successfully imagination, self-set goals, as well as belief and assumption analysis) of self-leadership. Third, significant results were obtained from the analysis of differences in self-leadership according to the levels of satisfaction on the components of personal image. These are expected to have effects on self-leadership between the groups for some factors(performed successfully imagination, self-set goals, belief and assumption analysis, self-reward, self-cues).

간호대학생의 학습에 대한 자기주도성 영향요인 (Factors Influencing Self-Directedness in Learning of Nursing Students)

  • This study was conducted to detect the correlations and the main factors influencing self-directedness in learning of nursing students. Method: The samples were composed of 224 nurse students who were from three nursing department in Seoul, Chungnam & Kyunbook. The reliability of 4 instruments was tested with Cronbach's $\alpha$ from .63 to .86. The data was analyzed using a SAS program for descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression. Result: The results were as follows: 1. The mean self-directedness score was 91.23 which was slightly high. The self-directedness in learning was influenced significantly by grade, perception of self-level, self-study in majoring and self-study except for majoring(F= 3.33-7.14, p<.05). 2. There were significant correlations between all the predictive variables and the self-directedness(r=.27-48, p<.01). 3. Stepwise multiple regression analysis showed that 35% of the self-directedness in learning of nursing students were significantly explained by self-esteem(23%), locus of control(6%), self-study except for majoring(2 kind, 2%), self study in majoring(good, 2%), and self-study except for majoring( above 3 kind, 2%). Conclusion: Based upon these findings, sociopsychological variables like self-esteem and locus of control are very important factor influencing self-directedness in learning of nursing students.

대학생의 자아분화, 자아존중감과 정신건강간의 관계 - 우울, 불안을 중심으로 (A Study on Relationships among University Students' Self-differentiation, Self-esteem and Mental Health : Focused on Depression and Anxiety)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine relationships among university students' self-differentiation, self-esteem and mental health. The subjects were 400 students of four universities in Busan and Gyungnam area. A questionnaire survey was done. The results of this study are as follows : First, the levels of university students' self-differentiation and self-esteem were high. Second, university students' self-differentiation and self-esteem were correlated positively. Third, the levels of university students' depression and anxiety were relatively low. It showed that the subjects' mental health of this study were not bad. Fourth, depression had no significant difference by gender. However, female students had higher anxiety than male students had. Fifth, university students' self-differentiation and self-esteem had negative correlation with depression and anxiety, and self-esteem played a role of mediating variable between self-differentiation and mental health. Sixth, family projection, family regression and self integration of self-differentiation had indirect influence upon the students' mental health through self-esteem, while cognitive-emotional function had direct influence upon mental health and had indirect influence upon mental health through self-esteem as well. In this study, university students' self-differentiation and self-esteem were found to be important variables having influence upon mental health, and self-differentiation had indirect influence upon mental health through self-esteem. Counselling intervention strategies should be established considering self-differentiation and self-esteem of the students who complained about their maladjusted emotion and human relation problems at schools. Also, programs enhancing self-differentiation and self-esteem of university students should be developed and the execution of these programs will be needed to help the university students who experienced mental health problems such as depression, anxiety and so on.

혈액투석환자의 자가간호 역량 및 자기효능감에 대한 연구 (A Study on Self-Care Agency & Self Efficacy of Hemodialisis Patients)

  • The purpose of this study was to identity degree on self-care agency & self efficacy of hemodialisis patients. The subjects for the study consisted of 260 hemodialisis patients and the data were collected from April 1st. 2002 to April 30. 2002. The instruments used for this study were the Self-carer As Inventory Scale(Genden & Taylor. 1998) and Concrete Self Efficacy Scale(Joo-Hyen Kim. 1995). The Self-carer As Inventory translated by So Hyang-Sook and was modified by auther of this study. The data were analysed by using SPSS/WIN program and included number. percentange. t-test, ANOV A and Pearson Correlation Coefficient. The results of the study are summarized as follows. 1. As the average score Self-care agency indicated $132.21\pm19.11$ points and Self efficacy showed $597.33\pm130.95$points. it can be said that Self-care agency and Self efficacy were high. 2. In the relationship between general and hemodialisis cure characteristics and Self care agency were significant difference in age(F=3.065. p=0.018). married(F=3.160. p= 0.029). religion(F=4.128. p=0.003). hemodialisis cure duration(F=2.615. p=0.049). 3. In the relationship between general and hemodialisis cure characteristics and Self efficacy were significant difference in age (F=2.992. p=0.019). married(F=4.427. p=0.013), job(before attack-F=1.926. p=0.044. after attack-F=1.784. p=0.048). incomes (F=2.235. p=0.041), hemodialisis cure frequency (F=1.718. p=0.042). diet practice (F=2.248. p=0.025). 4. Self efficacy was significantly related to Self-care agency(r=0.474. p<(0.001). That is the higher the self efficacy. the higher the level of Self-care agency. The result in the above showed that more concern and endeavors need to improve hope. medical support. self efficacy, self-care agency of hemodialisis patients.

청소년의 인터넷 중독, 자아존중감, 자기통제, 공격성간의 관계구조 (Structural Relationships Among Adolescents' Internet Addiction, Self-Esteem, Self-Control, and Aggression)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural relationships among adolescents' internet addiction, self-esteem, self-control, and aggression. The participants were 300 students in their first year of middle school. The questionnaire consisted of measures of internet addiction, self-esteem, self-control, and aggression. The major findings were as follows: 1) self-control had a direct effect on aggression; 2) internet addiction had a direct effect on self-esteem and self-control; 3) self-esteem had a direct effect on self-control; 4) internet addiction had an indirect effect on aggression and self-control; and self-esteem had an indirect effect on aggression. This study implied that self-related variables could mediate the relationship between the possibility of internet addiction and adolescents' aggression. This study also suggested that research on various mediator variables could reduce adolescents' psychosocial problems.

Shopping for Oneself : Motives and Orientations of Small Luxury Purchase as Self-Gifting

  • Small luxury purchase as self-gifting is one of the latest consumer trends in self-gifting. Although this consumption trend continues to grow in various fields, little research has been conducted on related consumer behavior. As such, this study was conducted to empirically investigate the current consumer behavior involved in purchase of small luxury self-gifts. The objectives of this study are to determine the current status of self-gifts markets, identify motives and orientations of self-gifting, and investigate the effects of the motives on self-gifts orientations. A total of 199 respondents were used in data analyses. Regarding motives for self-gifting, four motives - self-comfort, self-reward, anxiety, and showing off - were identified; regarding self-gifting orientations, five factors - rationalization (emotional comfort, product attributes, self-defense, and conformity) and the luxury being within one's spending limit - were identified. The study determined the effects of the motives on the orientations, and the effects of the motives and the orientations on post-purchase consumer reaction. This study conducted an empirical investigation on small luxury self-gifting and moreover, the study determined the motives, orientations, and consequences of self-gifting, which have not yet been explained in the literature.

한미 대학생 소비자의 충동구매성향 비교연구 : 자기조절학습과 자기조절소비를 중심으로 (A Cross Cultural Study of Self-Regulation and Impulsive Buying of College Students from South Korea and United States)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the impulsive purchasing tendency of Korean and U.S. college students. In particular, the study examined the effects of self-regulated learning and self-regulated consumption on college students' impulsive buying tendency. A total of 680 valid samples were obtained from online self-reported surveys in Korea and the United States. Both self-regulated learning and self-regulated consumption (self-control and self-supervision) were higher in US college students than Korean students. Self-regulated learning did not influence impulsive purchasing tendency. However, the impulsive purchasing tendency increased as the level of self-supervision among self-regulated consumption decreased. When purchases were made in stores, impulsive purchasing tendency increased in both South Korea and the US. Therefore, it is necessary to make efforts to decrease the impulsive purchasing tendency by fostering self-regulated consumption capacity of college students through consumer education.

남편의 자아개념과 성역할 태도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Relations between Self-Concepts and Sex-role Attitudes of Husbands)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the relations between the self-concepts and the sex-role attitudes of husbands. This paper aims to present the basic data to forming desirable sex-role attitudes between husband and wife. The results obstained in this study are as follows; 1) The scores of the self-concepts of husbands were high in moral ethical self, family self, self identity, self behavior and total positive self score. 2) The sex-role attitudes of husbands were seemed to be a slightly traditional. 3) The higher the score of personal self, family self, self identity, self satisfaction, self behavior and total positive self were, the more modernized the sex-role attitudes of husbands were. 4) The correlation between the self-concepts and the sex-role attitudes showed slightly positive.

중학생의 자기효능감, 자기주도학습, 학교적응과 학습몰입 간의 관계 분석 (Structural Relationship among the Self-Efficacy, Self-Directed Learning Ability, School Adjustment, and Leaning Flow in Middle School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural relationship among the self-efficacy, self-directed learning ability, school adjustment and learning flow in middle school students by the structural equation modeling analysis. The subjects of this study consisted of 553 middle school students. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, Pearson correlations and structural equation modeling analysis by using the SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 5.0 statistical program. The results of this study were as followed: First, there were significant correlations among the self-efficacy, self-directed learning ability, school adjustment and learning flow. Second, the self-directed learning ability and school adjustment directly affected the learning flow. Third, self-efficacy and school adjustment variables indirectly affected learning flow. The indices of the best fit model on these variable were adequate. This study shows that the self-efficacy, self-directed learning ability, school adjustment are the significant predictor for the learning flow during adolescent.
