시민옹호인의 역할인식에 관한 연구 - 발달장애인 옹호경험을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Citizen Advocates' Perception of Their Role for People with Developmental Disabilities)

  • 본 연구는 시민옹호인이 발달장애인과 만남 속에서 어떠한 옹호 역할을 수행하고 있다고 인식하는지 살펴보았다. 시민옹호란 사회적으로 취약한 이들을 대신하여 시민이 옹호하고 대변하는 활동을 의미한다. 본 연구에서는 발달장애인과 함께한 시민옹호인 13인을 4개 그룹으로 나누어 포커스집단면접을 실시하였고 시민옹호인의 역할 개념을 분석하였다. 4개의 대주제와 9개의 하위주제로 구분되었는데, '당사자의 자기변화 이끌기', '당사자의 권한회복하기', '당사자와 한편 되어주기', '당사자의 세상크기 넓히기'의 대주제와 "자기(욕구)문제 인식하고 해결하게 하기', '말하는 역할 부여하기', '서비스 이용관계 주도권 회복하기', '기존(가족, 이웃)관계 속 권한 회복하기', '금전피해 방지하기', '대신 말하기', '공감하고 탄원하기', '지역사회 변화 촉진하기', '당사자의 세상 크기 조금 넓히기' 의 소주제가 도출되었다. 이를 토대로 예방적 옹호로서의 시민옹호, 시민옹호와 전문적 옹호체계의 상보적 관계, 자원봉사 및 활동지원과 시민옹호의 차이점, 시민옹호 사업을 위한 고려사항을 논의하였다.

정신장애인을 위한 권익옹호 프로그램이 인권인식 수준과 자아존중감에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of a Rights Advocacy Program for Mentally Ill Persons)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a program for rights advocacy on the level of human rights perception and self-esteem for those who are mentally ill. Methods: A quasi-experimental study using a nonequivalent control group pre-post test design was used. The data were collected from January 20 to March. 17, 2010. Forty one (23 in the experimental group and 19 in the control group) individuals participated in this study. The program was developed based on the education program for human rights developed by the Gyeonggi-do community mental health center in 2009. The program consisted of 8 sessions lasting 8 weeks. Results: There were no statistically significant differences in the demographic variables or the outcome variables between the two groups before the intervention. The level of human rights perception and self-esteem increased after the program in the experimental group but not significantly (t=1.87, p=.07; t=0.88, p=.384). Conclusion: Despite the fact that the program was not effective in increasing the level of human rights perception and self-esteem, the study was timely in that it suggests directions for those who develop rights advocacy programs for the mentally ill.

사회복지 가치를 매개로 한 사회복지 교육과 옹호 태도 및 전략의 인과관계 분석 (A Study of the Causal Relationships between Social Work Education and Advocacy: The Mediating Effect of Social Work Values)

  • 본 연구는 사회복지 교육이 사회복지 가치의 형성과 사회복지 옹호실천에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 살펴보았다. 또한 사회복지 옹호실천에 대한 사회복지 교육의 직접효과뿐 아니라 사회복지 가치를 매개로 한 간접효과를 검증함으로써 사회복지 옹호 실천에 있어서의 사회복지 가치의 중요성을 보여주고 있다. 조사대상자는 2004년에 서울과 경기지역의 사회복지관에서 근무하고 있는 242명의 사회복지사이며, 조사도구로는 사회복지 옹호태도, 사회복지 옹호전략, 사회복지 교육성과, 사회복지 가치, 자존감, 통제소재 척도를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/PC+ 12.0을 사용하여 기술통계분석, 피어슨의 상관관계, 신뢰도 분석, 요인분석, 다중회귀분석을 통한 경로분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구는 사회복지옹호실천을 높이기 위해서는 인간행동과 사회환경, 실천론, 정책론, 조사론 및 실습 등의 기본적 방법론을 충실히 하는 것과 사회적 차원의 사회복지가치의 함양이 중요하다는 것을 실증적으로 보여주었다는 데에 의의가 있다. 또한 기존에 이루어지고 있는 사회복지 교육과정의 전반적인 재검토와 개인적 차원에 머무르고 있는 사회복지 가치의 체계를 사회적 차원으로 확대하고자 하는 방향성을 제시하였다는 데에 의의가 있다.

간호사의 자아개념과 윤리적 개념인식과의 관계 (Relationship between nurses' self concept and ethical concept)

  • This descriptive study was designed to find out the relation between self concept and ethical concept of nurses. The data were collected from 224 staff nurses in a tertiary hospital located in Suwon city during February 24 to March 7, 2001. Self concept was measured with questionnaire developed by chung (1965) and ethical concept was measured with the questionnaire developed by the researcher. The 5 point Likert scale questionnaire had 95 items. The results were summarized as follows: 1) The mean score of self concept was 3.11. The ethical concept were measured in 4 areas and mean scores were : accountability, 3,93; collaboration, 3.70; caring, 3.63; an advocacy, 3.15. So accountability was the area with the highest score in ethical concept. 2) Nurses' self concept was significantly related to ethical concept (collaboration, r=.34, p<.001; advocacy, r=.32, p<.001; caring, r=.28, p<.001; and responsibility, r=.23, p<.001). 3) The self concept was significant in age(F=3.28, p=.000) and the ethical concept was significant in age(F=15.88, p=.000), education level(t=2.16, p=0.03), career(F=5.16, p=.001) In conclusion, there was a significant relationship between self concept and ethical concept of nurses. High score in accountability may be related to high level of legal responsibility of nurses. This finding suggests that it is the length of nursing career is significantly related to both self-concept and ethical concept. Thus, it is important to improve self concept in order to improve ethical concept of nurses from early the beginning of their career.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 정신장애인의 공공후견서비스 사업이 당사자의 의사결정을 지원하고 권익옹호를 하는 제도로서 역할을 하고 있는지 그 경험과 과제를 탐구하는 것이다. 연구방법은 Strauss와 Corbin(1998)의 근거이론을 이용하여 공공 후견법인 후견업무 실무자 11명을 대상으로 전문가인터뷰를 실시하고, 과정분석과, 유형분석 등을 통해 실천모형을 제시하였다. 연구결과로는 정신장애인의 공공후견서비스를 통해, 후견의 권리옹호의 가능성과 시설의 긍정적인 태도변화 및 정신장애인의 권리회복을 위한 방향성 확립 등이 도출되었다. 공공후견법인 종사자들은 후견인에 대한 과도한 권한 부여나 업무 과정에서의 여러 어려움을 경험하지만 정신장애인들의 권리를 옹호하고 자기결정권을 지원할 수 있는 경험을 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 후견서비스의 필요성과 확대의 당위성을 제시하였다.

간호전문직 자율성(Professional Nurse Autonomy)의 개념분석 (Concept Analysis of Professional Nurse Autonomy)

  • Professional nurse Autonomy is an essential attribute of a discipline striving for full professional status. Purpose: This study was to clarify the concept of professional nurse autonomy to provide basic data needed for development of professional autonomy enhancing strategies. Method: This study use the process of Walker & Avante's concept analysis based on Wade's research (1999), and field data of 21 nurses. Results: Professional nurse autonomy is defined as competency and creative performance of the professional nurse in practice, to decide independently or interdependently nursing activities and to be had accountable for results of decisions, that reflect advocacy and caring. It was identified that critical attributes include responsible discretionary decision making, collegial interdependence, initiative, creativity, and caring, advocacy, cooperative relationship with clients, receptive capacity to others, activeness, self confidence, and devotion and responsibility to their profession. Antecedents include personal characteristics, educational background, experience and structural characteristics that enhance professional nurse autonomy. Consequences of professional nurse autonomy are feelings of self-efficacy, empowerment, job satisfaction, reduction of intention to leave their job. Conclusion: According to these results, it is recommended that the curriculum provides an environment for learning professional nurse autonomy, and that is used as basic data to develope strategies to enhance professional autonomy of nurse in practice and it's effects

Wear Your Heart on Your Sleeve: Exploring Moral Identity as a Moderator Across CSR Authenticity, Consumer Admiration, and Engagement in the Fashion Industry

  • A rapidly shifting, hyper-sensitive modern fashion industry, coupled with an increasingly developing global environmental concern, has seen to an ever-imperative role for corporate social responsibility (CSR) to play in the successful operation of fashion companies. This study primarily investigates effective measures for successful CSR implementation in both corporate and consumer domains, looking at Patagonia, an exemplar company with an environmental mission, to understand the central contributions of active consumer engagement to the success of CSR initiatives. We explore consumer admiration as a concept necessary to elevate CSR practices from image maintenance to genuine engagement and advocacy, and how such admiration could be cultivated on the consumer-side, investigating perceived CSR authenticity and corporate self-sacrifice as primary determinants. Specifically, we speculate the asymmetric role of consumers' moral identity, revealing that moral identity symbolization positively interacts with both determinants while negatively moderating the relationship of these intentions and consumer admiration. We derive our analysis from diverse international and Korean data, concluding with theoretical and managerial implications for domestic and international companies in pursuit of environmental CSR campaigns that bridge consumer and company, as well as limitations and future research directions.

자기역량강화프로그램이 저소득층 재가 암환자의 암증상, 자기효능감, 자아존중감 및 자기역량에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of a Program on Cancer Symptoms, Self-Efficacy, Self-esteem, and Empowerment in Home-based Cancer Patients)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this research was to develop and evaluate the effects of an empowerment program. Method: We developed an 8-week empowerment program to decrease cancer symptoms and increase self-efficacy, self-esteem, and empowerment. This program includes aspects concerning self-knowledge and management, self-help groups, self-advocacy, resource network, and laughter therapy. We evaluated the effects of this program on 32 home-based cancer patients (one group pretest-posttest design). The data collection was performed from August 22, 2011 to October 13, 2011. Data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Result: There were significant differences in self-esteem derived from the empowerment program. However, there were no significant differences in cancer symptoms, self-efficacy, and empowerment after the program. Conclusion: More research, using a control group pretest-posttest design that considers an appropriate intervention duration, is needed to more accurately examine the effects of the program. We expect this intervention to improve the empowerment of home-based cancer patients.

환자안전에 대한 의료서비스 소비자의 인식 조사 (Healthcare Service Consumers' Perception of Patient Safety)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the perspective of consumers in healthcare services regarding patient safety. Methods: The study was a descriptive study using a self-reported questionnaire. The questionnaire was based on the Senior Empowerment and Advocacy in Patient Safety (SEAPS) questionnaire, which was designed to assess patient safety health beliefs. The survey was conducted online and a convenient sample of 302 adults participated in total. The reliability of the measurement (Cronbach's ${\alpha}$) was 0.758 in attitude (ATT), 0.546 in out-come efficacy (OE), 0.757 in self-efficacy (SE), and 0.703 in behaviors (BEH). Results: The average patient safety awareness score of the healthcare service consumers was 2.72 (ATT), 2.91 (OE), 2.87 (SE), and 2.27 (BEH). Our analysis indicated that there were no differences in ATT, BEH, or SE by gender, age, or education level. However, in OE and the total score of the four subscales, there were significant differences by age and gender. Correlations were identified between BEH and SE (r=0.409, p<.01), BEH and OE (r=0.202, p<.01), ATT and SE (r=0.358, p<.01), and OE and SE (r=0.241, p<.01). Conclusion: This study measured consumer perspectives concerning patient safety. The findings demonstrate the need for developing a measurement tool to assess consumer's perception of patient safety, considering Korean healthcare system and cultural context.

장애인복지관 전문인력들의 임파워먼트와 직무만족의 관계에서 자아존중감의 매개효과 (Mediating Effect of Self-esteem in the Relationship of Empowerment and Job Satisfaction of Specialists in Rehabilitation Centers)

  • 본 연구는 장애인복지관 전문인력들을 대상으로 임파워먼트의 직무만족에 대한 영향과 자아존중감의 매개효과를 분석하였다. 대전과 충남에 소재한 14개 장애인복지관의 전문인력 325명을 대상으로 설문조사를 진행하였다. 주요 자료분석방법은 확인적 요인분석과 부트스트랩검증이다. 분석결과, 임파워먼트와 직무만족의 관계, 그리고 자아존중감의 매개효과가 검증되었다. 분석결과들을 참고하여 직무만족을 증진하기 위한 방안들을 제안하면 다음과 같다. 전문인력들의 임파워먼트를 증진시키기 위해서 장애인복지관 관장의 긍정적 리더십, 적절한 지원과 전문인력들의 자발적 노력, 셀프리더십의 함양 등이 중요하다. 자아존중감을 향상시키기 위해 자기인식의 개선과 이를 위한 모니터링 프로그램, 동료들과의 원활한 협력체계 구축, 관리자들의 지지적 슈퍼비전 등이 필요하다. 향후 장애인복지관 전문인력의 인적자원관리에 대한 연구들이 적극적으로 진행되어야 할 것이다.
