파킨슨병 환자 대상 음악 및 미술 치료 수요 설문조사 (Music and Art Therapy for Parkinson's Disease Patients: A Demand Survey)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate patients' demand for music and art therapy in the treatment of Parkinson's disease and to understand how patients view the use of music and art therapy as a complementary form of treatment that can improve their quality of life and increase their self-efficacy in addition to medication. Methods: To this end, 60 Parkinson's patients visiting Daejeon Korean Medicine Hospital at Daejeon University were surveyed about music and art therapy. Results: The survey demonstrated a highly positive response to the music program, with strong belief in its efficacy for Parkinson's disease and significant interest in participation. Group music therapy was perceived as effective for enhancing mental health, respiratory function, language disorders, and overall quality of life. Although the art program was also deemed effective, patients showed slightly lower interest and willingness to participate compared to music therapy. The patients preferred 60-minute sessions once a week for about 8 weeks. Conclusions: We propose the following directions for a Parkinson's music and art therapy program. First, develop a once-a-week, 8-week music and art program for Parkinson's patients. Second, design the music program to focus on improving respiratory function and quality of life. Third, the art program focuses on creating a sense of security and comfort through emotional exchange among patients and improving self-efficacy.

  • 본 논문에서는 마이크로그리드(Micro grid, MG)의 설계에서 필요로 되는 에너지저장장치(Energy storage system, ESS)의 최소설비용량을 산정할 수 있는 확률론적 방법론을 제시하였다. ESS기술은 아직까지 경제성 측면에서 매우 높은 설비비용이 필요로 되기 때문에 적정 설비규모를 산정하는 것과 MG의 안정적인 운영을 위해서 최소 설비용량에 대한 가이드라인의 제시가 필요로 된다. 본 논문에서 제시한 방법론은 Non-dispatchable 발전원 출력의 간헐성과 모든 발전기의 고장정지확률을 고려하여 MG가 자체적인 에너지 Self balancing을 유지할 수 있는 ESS의 최소설비용량을 산정할 수 있는 것을 특징으로 한다.

  • 무선 센서 네트워크는 제한된 자원을 가지고 특정한 지역에 임의로 뿌려진 센서 노드가 자가 구성적으로 형성하는 네트워크를 말한다. 센서 네트워크의 확장성(scalability), 로드 밸런싱(load balancing) 그리고 네트워크 라이프타임(network lifetime)을 보장하기 위해서 네트워크를 지역적으로 관리하는 클러스터링 알고리즘이 필요하다. 이전의 클러스터링 알고리즘에서 클러스터 헤드를 선정할 때 노드의 위치 및 에너지를 알아내기 위해 추가적인 통신비용이 발생하고, 클러스터 간 불균형이 클러스터 헤드에게 과부하를 유발한다. 따라서 본 논문은 이러한 문제점들을 해결하기 위해 추가적인 통신비용과 클러스터 불균형을 고려하는 새로운 클러스터 헤드 선정 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 실험결과를 통해 기존의 방법보다 에너지 측면에서 효율적임을 보여준다.

  • In this paper, we discuss how to design 2-wheeled mobile robot hard wares as reasonable and practical as possible. A segway type mobile robot consists of 2 wheels only, placed in parallel rather than horizon. 2-wheeled mobile robots make you overcome high cost and time consuming maintenance procedures of the robot by reducing the number of robot hardwares. The most challenging thing in a 2-wheeled mobile robot that has many more valid virtues than the traditional mobile robots is to make it balance itself whenever it stands still or goes forward. But balancing itself is not an easy matter and there are many researches and experiments on this issue. When researchers test theories on 2-wheeled mobile robots to improve its self balancing performance, they should consider how to design hard wares of that mobile robot. No matter how great those new theories are, if a testbed for those theories is not suitable, performance output would be poor and meaningless. In this point of view, to design a proper 2-wheeled mobile robot as a testbed is a very important issue with development of new theories. So we define 4 guide lines to design segway type mobile robots reasonably; about motor, battery, and MCU selection and shock-proof design with robust motor setting.

악관절의 기능과 이상에 관한 역학적(易學的) 해석 (A Changeological Interpretation on the Function and Malfunction of the Oromaxillary Structure)

  • In order to understand Changeologically on the meaning of FCST's TMJ (temporo-mandibular joint) treatment procedure, Yi, Shike, Bi, Gen trigrams concerning the jaw and change by treatment were analyzed from the viewpoint of semiotic context of hexagon and holistic interpretation on disease. Yi is meant by jaw but actually indicates mouth made by maxilla and mandible, and it's characters are related with nourishing by aliment and words. But when we eat and speak in the daily life, jaw does not nourish properly it's own body by bad habit or postures. For the treatment of this ill state, there needs punishment and correction symbolized with Shike. Shike has fourth nine meaning obstacles between the two strong lines in the upper and lower end, and so it has the function of mastication and get rid of the fourth nine metaphorically indicating subluxation of axis using CBA and auxiliary measures of four movement or laughing methods. Bi expresses the achievement and effects of consecutive mastication process implicating normalized manifestation of jaw and its linked spinal function. Gen symbolizes removing selfish motive or partiality in advance and reaches the best state of the saint righteously self-nourishable human being.

수면중 이갈이에 의해 발생한 턱관절 통증 환자에 대한 FCST 활용 1예 보고 (A Case Report of Sleep Bruxism-induced Temporomandibular Jount (TMJ) Pain Improved by Appliance of FCST)

  • 본 증례에서는 수면 중 이갈이에 의해 발생한 턱관절 통증에 대하여 FCST를 포함한 침치료를 통해 양호한 치료효과가 있는 것을 관찰하였다. 상기 환자는 FCST의 균형측정지 검사상 TMJ의 경미한 불균형 외에 방사선 소견상 구조적인 큰 이상이 없었음에도 이갈이에 따른 심한 근육긴장으로 통증이 발생한 경우였다. 이것을 통해 FCST가 턱관절의 구조적인 문제에만 국한되어 적용되는 것이 아니라 턱관절 주위 근육 긴장의 빠른 회복에도 상당한 효과가 있음을 볼 수 있었다. 또한 야간에 TBA를 착용한 상태로 잠을 자게 되면 그 자체로 이갈이에 대한 예방효과가 있어 현재 턱관절통증 등의 증상이 없는 이갈이 환자에게도 예방적인 목적으로 TBA의 처방이 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

  • This paper is about the development of an automatic stair climbing trolley for carrying loads without manpower. The design of tri-wheeled structure and center of mass enable the trolley to move on flat ground and also to ascend stairs by self-balancing. The overall design enables the trolley to avoid collision to walls when the trolley rotates on domestic landings. When the camera recognizes the stair, the sensor measures distance from the trolley to the stair. Then the trolley can move to align itself in the middle of the stair and it starts climbing. It can ascend to a specific floor based on the floor number entered by the user. As a result, the automatic stair climbing trolley is expected to help humans by protecting from accidents of dropping loads and saving their power. It is also expected to use for various purposes such as delivering packages, moving and carrying heavy loads in buildings without elevator.

Hybrid RANS and Potential Based Numerical Simulation for Self-Propulsion Performances of the Practical Container Ship

  • The finite volume based multi-block RANS code, WAVIS developed at MOERI is applied to the numerical self-propulsion test. WAVIS uses the cell-centered finite volume method for discretization of the governing equations. The realizable $k-{\epsilon}$ turbulence model with a wall function is employed for the turbulence closure. The free surface is captured with the two-phase level set method and body forces are used to model the effects of a propeller without resolving the detail blade flow. The propeller forces are obtained using an unsteady lifting surface method based on potential flow theory. The numerical procedure followed the self-propulsion model experiment based on the 1978 ITTC performance prediction method. The self-propulsion point is obtained iteratively through balancing the propeller thrust, the ship hull resistance and towing force that is correction for Reynolds number difference between the model and full scale. The unsteady lifting surface code is also iterated until the propeller induced velocity is converged in order to obtain the propeller force. The self-propulsion characteristics such as thrust deduction, wake fraction, propeller efficiency, and hull efficiency are compared with the experimental data of the practical container ship. The present paper shows that hybrid RANS and potential flow based numerical method is promising to predict the self-propulsion parameters of practical ships as a useful tool for the hull form and propeller design.

분산시각 미디어 검색 프레임워크의 성능향상을 위한 브로커 서버 우선순위를 이용한 라운드 로빈 스케줄링 기법 (A Scheduling Algorithm using The Priority of Broker for Improving The Performance of Semantic Web-based Visual Media Retrieval Framework)

  • 기존의 Ontology를 이용한 이미지 검색 시스템이나 메타데이타 기반의 분산 이미지 검색 시스템들의 단점들을 극복하기 위해 이미지 제공자들의 자율성을 보장하면서, Semantic 기반의 이미지 검색을 지원하는 분산 시각미디어 검색 프레임워크인 HERMES(The Retrieval Framework for Visual Media Service)가 제안되었다. 제안된 프레임워크에서는 서비스를 사용하는 다수 사용자들이 Broker서버에 동시에 접속했을 경우 발생하는 Overhead에 대한 문제를 해결 할 수 없었기 때문에 성능의 저하와 확장성을 고려할 수 없는 문제를 안고 있다. 본 논문에서는 다수의 동시 사용자들이 접속했을 경우에도 성능의 저하 없이 비슷한 수준의 서비스를 제공하기 위해서 Broker서버를 증설하여 Monitoring System으로부터 각각의 Broker 내부 컴포넌트의 수행시간을 측정하여 저장하고, 저장된 데이타에 대하여 각 Broker들에 대한 우선순위를 결정하는 테이블을 작성한다. 사용자로부터 Query를 입력받는 User Interface는 Broker의 Ranking Table을 참조하여 다수의 Query 수행을 여러 서버로 분산처리하게 함으로써 성능에 대한 신뢰성을 향상시킬 수 있는 Load Balancing 시스템을 제안한다. 또한 기존의 방식들과 비교실험을 통하여 제안하는 Load Balancing 시스템의 스케줄링 기법이 빠르다는 것을 보여준다.

Optimized design of dual steel moment resisting system equipped with cross-anchored self-centering buckling restrained chevron brace

  • In most self-center braces, decreasing residual deformation is possible only by increasing pretension force, which results in lower energy dissipation capacity. On the other hand, increasing energy dissipation capacity means higher values of residual deformation. The goal of this research was to find the best design for a self-centering buckling restrained brace (SC-BRB) system by balancing self-centering capability and energy dissipation. Three, six, and nine-story structures were investigated using OpenSees software and the TCL programming language to achieve this goal. For each height, 62 different SC-BRBs were considered using different values for the pretension force of cables, the area of the buckling restrained brace (BRB) core plate, and the yield stress of the core plate. The residual deformation and dissipated energy of all the models were calculated using nonlinear analyses after cyclic loading was applied. The optimum design for each height was determined among all the models and was compared to the structure equipped with the usual BRB. The residual deformation of the framed buildings was significantly reduced, according to the findings. Also the reduction of the energy dissipation was acceptable. The optimum design of SC-BRB in 6-story building has the most reduction percent in residual deformation, it can reduce residual deformation of building 83% while causing only a 57% of reduction in dissipated energy. The greatest reduction in residual deformation versus dissipated energy reduction was for the optimum SC-BRB design of 9-story building, results indicated that it can reduce residual deformation of building 69% while causing only a 42% of reduction in dissipated energy.
