This study aims to identify the effect of neurofeedback training by observing the pre and post brainwave measurement results of about 60(experimental group 30, control group 30) subjects who have shown self directed learning ability. The study took place at neuro-training center B, in between the months of Jan. 2010 and Jul. 2010. As the brainwaves are adjusted by timeseries linear analysis. The result confirmed the differences of both self regulation quotient, training protocol, and questionnaire. The result of the study suggest neurofeedback technique's possibility in positively affecting the subjects' self directed learning ability.
This study of the characteristics and the relationships of children's emotional intelligence (EQ) and self-esteem had a sample of 1060 5th grade children. The rank order of four EQ factors from highest to lowest was "perception of emotion", "other-regulation and self-expression", "self-regulation and emotion utilization", and "empathy". Among self-esteem factors, "general self-worth" had the highest correlation with overall self-esteem; "physical appearance" was most strongly correlated with "general self-worth". Relationships between EQ and self-esteem showed that higher EQ was associated with higher self-esteem. Among EQ factors, "other-regulation and self-expression" was the strongest predictor of "behavioral conduct." The next strongest predictor of self-esteem among EQ factors was "self-regulation and utilization of emotion". Other self-esteem factors well predicted by EQ were "general self-worth", and "scholastic competence".

This study was to examine the correlation of Personality and EEG. Personality test and EEG of the 40 team leader of a business enterprise were carried out at the same time and the correlation of test results were analyzed. Personality test was done by Big 5 and brain waves were measured by 2-Channel EEG System at Fp1 and Fp2. The analysis showed a positive correlation between the Big 5 agreeableness and SRQ(Self Regulation Quotient) relaxation status which is related with alpha rhythm, and showed a negative correlation between the Big 5 openness and SRQ concentration status which is related with low_beta rhythm. It means that the personality is closely correlated with human brain cortex activation and can be checked by brainwave analysis.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory(MMPI-2) clinical scales and the self-regulation quotient of the brain quotient. The test in this study was performed by 41 adults over 20 years old and was done using the MMPI-2, which is a self-reporting method. EEG was performed using a 2-channel EEG System at Fp1 and Fp2. The analysis showed a negative correlation between scale 2(D), which is the MMPI-2 clinical scale, and the SRQ(Self Regulation Quotient) relaxation status, which is the related alpha rhythm. Scale3(Hy) showed a positive correlation with the SRQ concentration status and low ${\beta}$ rhythm. Scale7 in the MMPI-2 clinical scales showed a negative correlation with the SRQ relaxation status, which is the alpha rhythm. This means that MMPI-2 and SRQ can be used complementarily in the field of counseling. These results could be interpreted in three ways. First, people with depression are sensitive to other people's attention and evaluation. Therefore, they tend to expend a lot of energy when forming interpersonal relationships, and if they do not learn to relax, their fatigue can easily be increased. Second, people who seek other people's interest and have a cheerful spirit are considered to be highly active. Third, highly stressed people with anxiety and tension seem to easily become tired and their irritation and discomfort may be increased in consequence.
Cancer patients have been suffered from the instability of mind/body and unbalanced homeostasis because of cancer progression and medical treatment such as chemotherapy, It is very important that appropriated actions can be promptly taken by monitoring cancer patients' mental conditions. For this reason, it is crucial to develop a monitoring method which is convenient and not harmful to their body. Brain-computer-interface(BCI) system is introduced for the purpose in this paper. Prefrontal brain waves of cancer patients and control groups have been measured by a portable neurofeedback(NF) system based on self-regulation of the human electroencephalogram(EEG). The NF system consists of the portable EEG amplifier and a headband with dry electrodes placed on Fp1 and Fp2 sites. Patterns of the prefrontal brain waves taken by computer are correlated to brain quotients by EEG-analysis program. Basic rhythm quotient, attention quotient, emotional quotient, anti-stress quotient and correlation quotient of control group have shown high significant level compared with the cancer patients group. On the other hand, the EEG patterns analysis is shown its possibility to be an important methodology of monitoring cancer patients' condition.

This study has been made to research on the brain wave characteristics of baduk expert by BCI(Brain Computer Interface). The test was based on the researches from 1th September, 2005 to 30th December, 2005, compared with the ones of the standardized general public. The number of the general public are 695 (elementary school students 423, middle and high school students 161, adults 111) and the number of the baduk players are 57 (researchstudents 15, Korean baduk club students 16, professional baduk players 26). The research data show that the baduk players have the higher indexes than the general public in Self Regulation quotient p=.002, Attention Quotient(left) p=.002, Emotion Quotient p=.027, Stress Quotient(left) p=.002 and Brain Quotient p=.006. There are some differences in brain functions between baduk players and the ordinary people. Difference in functions of the brain among baduk experts is also analyzed. That result shows that there is no different brain function between professional baduk player.

Background: It is necessary to verify the resilience of the newly improved Kneipp psychotherapy. Purpose: This study assesses whether Kneipp Lebensordnung psychotherapy; KnLP program improves resilience. Methods: The KnLP program, including salutogenesis, logotherapy, meditation, and resilience training, is reorganized in consideration of Korean culture and sentiments. It was conducted 4 times for 25 adults (once a week, 3 hours a time), and data, KRQ-53 (Korean Resilience Quotient-53) measured intervention, before, and after was compared and analyzed. Results: The data for 9 adults were selected to draw reliable analysis, and it concluded that participants' KRQ-53 mean score increased by 14.66 from 191.56 to 206.22 during and after the program. The score increase by factor in resilience training is 5.89 points for self-regulation skills, 4.89 points for in interpersonal skills, and 3.89 points for positive capacity. Conclusions: KnL program improves participants' resilience skill (p<.05), and especially in self-regulation skill. Subsequent studies with more participants are required to achieve statistically significant and generalized results in the future.
In this research, students majoring in public health were tested with their interpersonal and emotional intelligence and its impact on psychological well being, studied by identifying the factors to promote and foster the students' emotions. The survey was conducted from May 15, 2003 for two weeks using only students majoring in Public Health. Factor analysis, emotional intelligence, emotion regulation, self-emotional awareness, emotions, taking advantage of others and emotional awareness was divided into four sub-factors. Emotional regulation and emotional advantage and recognition had a positive impact on interpersonal relationships, psychological wellbeing and emotional self-awareness. Emotional impact showed a positive advantage. On emotional intelligence, interpersonal factors that influence others and emotional awareness was highest in the psychological process. Students improve their interpersonal relationships and promote a more psychological well being as the emotion of anger and ability to set goals and to motivate efforts to strengthen the emotional awareness is more important. College students studying in Department of Health Services, as well as medical professionals provide better health care services for the sake of happiness that can inspire a systematic program development and is considered to require constant attention.
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among child care teachers' personal characteristics, resilience, and social support. The subjects in this study were 154 child care teachers working in Gangwon province. The resilience questionnaire(Jung Hyun Lee, 2013) revised from KRQT-52(Korean Resilience Quotient Test) and the perceived social support scale(Lee Jae-Young, 2012) were used for this study. For the research analysis, frequency, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ coefficient, and Pearson's correlation were calculated and ANOVA test, Scheff$\acute{e}$ post-hoc analysis, and regression analysis were conducted. The results are as follows. Firstly, it was revealed that child care teachers' experiences, age, marital status, and type of child care center had a statistically meaningful difference in resilience. In contrast, teachers' educational backgrounds did not have a meaningful difference in resilience. Secondly, all the sub-variables of teacher's perceived social support had a positive statistically significant correlation with all sub-variables of their resilience. Thirdly, physical support of child care teachers' perceived social support had statistically meaningful positive influences on the positive characteristics and the overall resilience. Also evaluative support of child care teachers' perceived social support had statistically meaningful positive influences on the interpersonal skills, self-regulation, positive characteristics, and the overall resilience of resilience. In conclusion, the results indicated that it is needed to strengthen child care teachers' perceived social support for enhancing resilience, taking into account the background characteristics of individual teachers.
