This study aims at analyzing the course selecting standards of college students including Electives and Major courses. For the purpose of this study, we developed a survey through analyzing previous related-research and conducting interviews and pilot study. Using our survey questions, on- and off-line survey was conducted for 301 college students from November 1st to December 5th. As a result of the survey, college student's course selecting standards consist of five factors including 'convenience in learning', 'characteristics of instructors', 'practicality of courses', 'expectations of and interests in learning', and 'external factors.' With the result of factor analysis, we analyzed course selecting standards of college students divided into Electives and Major courses. For electives, 'convenience in learning' was most considered among five factors, followed by 'expectations of and interests in learning', 'external factors', 'characteristics of instructors' and 'practicality of courses.' On the other hand, 'characteristics of instructors' was the highest consideration of college students when selecting courses in Major subjects, followed by 'convenience in learning', 'expectations of and interests in learning', 'external factors' and 'practicality of courses.' This study examined what standards affect college student's course selection, considering Electives and Major courses respectively. We suggested further study on how college students select their courses and how this affect their satisfaction with college education.

Conditions of farm crop switching are affected by several important external factors such as agricultural products import opening, policy support, and climate change. Farming environment is always changing; barriers to imports are becoming lower and lower because of FTA and others, and climate change affects a boundary line of cultivation. Those situations give farmers motivation to change crops in order to cope with them. In addition, crop switching has been done in response to the local government measures about purchase of local agricultural products according to the local food and the expansion of organic agricultural products in school meal. Even though the favorable environment toward crop switching has been created, there are not many researches or outcomes regarding crop switching. Only few studies focus on the list of decision-making in crop switching, and locally suitable crop selection is not treated. In order to utilize crop switching as a farm management strategy, the proper frame should be studied and practical researches on application possibility also need. Therefore, study on crop switching is in a timely, proactive manner because farms catch the chance of expansion of school meal by changing crops. This paper applies HERO model used for venture foundation process to crop switching process. Success factors of HERO model are comprised of Habitate, Entrepreneurship, Resource, and Opportunity, and these phased application factors are applied to crop switching process. By doing so, each phase success factor of crop switching can be uncovered. Three farm organizations supplying organic agricultural products to schools are studied in Gyeonggi province. As a result, the stabilization stage cannot be achieved because of the habitate conditions and social conditions with low risk bearing of crop switching and current school meal systems are the main problems to block the diversification of risks. In order to succeed in crop switching, constructing the habitate in local districts or in systems of school meal is more effective than supporting each farm.
Environmental problems became bigger and widely known among all parts of the society in the last decade. The broad and sustainable study of the environment is the most basic and primary solution to the problems. For this reason, International Environmental Project Olympiad (INEPO) was organized in 1993. Many countries have participated in this organization. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to revitalize the environmental education and to realize the value of environmental education by making students aware of the environmental problems through the INEPO and Korean Environmental Olympiad (KEO). To achieve these goals, we conducted as follows First, we introduced aims, major contents and rules of the INEPO and grasped problems related to the applying method of students who want to participate in the INEPO in Korea. In addition, we introduced both results of domestic contest for participating in the 14th INEPO and of the 14th INEPO itself opened in 2006. Second, we analysed participants' themes according to project types such as environment-biology, environment-chemistry, environment-physics, environment-health and environment-social sciences from Previous INEPOs. Third, we had interviews with several participants to gather their thoughts on motivation and impression of participation, the reason of theme selection, and the method of environmental education in school, by visiting each booth of INEPO. Finally, we suggested sustainable methods of the KEO to revitalize environmental education, and proposed various methods to revitalize the environmental education through the KEO and INEPO in the primary and secondary schools.

This study is a descriptive survey research to know the levels of job satisfaction and influential factors for emergency medical technicians(EMT). This study sampled Level 1 and Level 2 Rescue Members from fire stations and EMT from general hospitals in the Gwangju City and JeollaNamdo area. Interviews for the 75 participants of this convenience sample were conducted for a two month period from July to September 2006. Data was collected on interviewing questionnaires. When looking at the results above internal factions were most influential towards satisfaction and self-responsibility, fulfillment, displays of Aptitude were highest for satisfaction. However, organizational factors were the lowest. There is a need for reform in promotion term periods and policy as well as promotion opportunities. Influential factors for job satisfaction were Role Performance Ability, Intentions for Changing Jobs, and Job Selection Motivation. Therefore, the more insufficient your ability to perform your job the less satisfied you are with it and the more fear you feel from experiences on the job the less satisfied you are with your job. Henceforth, there is a need to reform the educational programs offered to EMT for job training emphasizing job performance ability and the ability to judge for oneself on emergency situations, and reform the promotional system. Finally, there is a need for psychological consultation to offer stability to those after treating an emergency situation and encouragement for personal religion.
This survey was carried out to investigate the effects of dietary attitude on the nutrition knowledge, food habits and the intake of instant food, convenience food and fast food between two groups of college women, a nutrition major group and nutrition non-major one. Questionnaires were completed by 214 nutrition majors and also by 145 non-majors. Nutrition majors showed better average in meal time regularities per week than nutrition non-majors. And nutrition non-majors had a higher frequency rate in taking of instant food and fast food than nutrition majors. In the case of both college women, those who take a meal regularly at each meal times have a higher score in food habits. The women who ate instant foods more frequently got a lower score in food habits, bot the frequency of the intake of instant foods did not affect the score of nutrition knowledge On the other hand, the women who had fast foods more frequently got a higher score in food habits and lower score in nutrition knowledge. When college women have a little of nutrition knowledge, they have a tendency to keep their meal time regularity and right dietary attitude pattern. In the dining-out pattern, the college women liked to eat flour foods and they preferred western foods than Korean foods. The motivation of food selection was for convenience and for time saving which were the reason for satisfaction to the products of food service industry. The products of food service industry were found to be unsatisfactory in nutrition and sanitation. Therefore, we must be mute aware of preventing the disappearance of Korean traditional foods and for developing dietary culture successively, the products of food service industry which are more suitable for Korean should be developed.
