In this paper, we compared the performance of "Network Intrusion Detection System based on attack feature selection using fuzzy control language"[1] and "Intelligent Intrusion Detection System Model for attack classification using RNN"[2]. In this paper, we compare the intrusion detection performance of two techniques using KDD CUP 99 dataset. The KDD 99 dataset contains data sets for training and test data sets that can detect existing intrusions through training. There are also data that can test whether training data and the types of intrusions that are not present in the test data can be detected. We compared two papers showing good intrusion detection performance in training and test data. In the comparative paper, there is a lack of performance to detect intrusions that exist but have no existing intrusion detection capability. Among the attack types, DoS, Probe, and R2L have high detection rate using fuzzy and U2L has a high detection rate using RNN.

In order to achieve high capacity and reliable link quality in wireless communication, the significant efforts should be concentrated on mitigating interference between cells. To solve the interference problem, the newly introduced concept of a Distributed Wireless Communication System (DWCS) can provide the capability of joint control of the signals at multiple cells. This paper proposes a new concept of virtual cell: the Dual Virtual Cell (DVC), and also proposes DVC employment strategy based on DWCS network. The proposed system manages two kinds of virtual cell. One is the Active Virtual Cell which exists for user's actual data traffic and the other is the Candidate Virtual Cell which contains a set of candidate antennas to protect user's link quality from performance degradation or interruption. The proposed system constructs DVC by using antenna selection method. Also, for multi-user high-rate data transmission, the proposed system introduces multiple antenna technology to get a spatial and temporal diversity gam and exploits space-Time Trellis Codes known as STTC to increase a spectral efficiency.

The Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) trends to delegate the certificate path processing to the Delegated Path Discovery (DPD) Server and Delegated Path Validation (DPV) server recently. The most critical factor for the selection of the delegated server is to allow the server to be equipped with a high reliability through a low cost, and simple implementation. In this paper, we propose a new certificate path processing scheme employed the trusted CA as the DPD/DPV server by adding the capability of the Validation Authority (VA) to the trusted CA. Since our proposed scheme uses the existing trusted CA as validation server, we can achieve a high trust through a simple implementation for the processing. Besides, we propose an additional scheme for reducing an overhead on the trusted CA. it is obtained by delegating digital signature verification to CAs on the path and by skipping the repeated path processing. As the result, our proposed validation scheme can be performed efficiently with high speed and low computational overhead.

For the first Maritime Accident Inquiry System in Korea, Central Marine Accidents Inquiry Committee were founded in Seoul and District Marine Accidents Inquiry Committee in Busan city In 1963 to determine the circumstances of the accidents and causes. At the present day, it was settled as Maritime Safety Tribunal tough several revision of the Law and regulations regarding the Maritime Accident Inquiry System. In Korea, there occurred about m cases of marine accident, and as a result, about 200 people were lost human lives in average per year. In accordance with the change of circumstances such as traffic increasing and being bigger in size, being faster in speed, etc., the causes of the marine accidents become complicated year by year. Accordingly, in this moment, it is meaningful that the introduction of the Research Official who assists the Judges probing the cases fair and square. In this Paper, with the consideration of the several kinds of Research Official System, such as the Research Official of the Korean Supreme Court, the Supreme Public Prosecutors' Office and the Constitutional Court, Japanese Supreme Court, Law Clerk in USA, etc., the selection, numbers, duty of the Research Official were studied. The results of the study are as follows; 1. The Research Official to be appointed among the person having long enough career as a Judge, Investigator engaged in the Maritime Safety Tribunal due to he sho띨d have capability to confirm perfectly logical judgement and to collect enough material for the conclusion of the causes of the case. The one who understands the foreign language is preferred for the study of the foreign cases; 2. It will be logical to post 3 joint Research Officials in Korea Maritime Safety Tribunal in Seoul after due consideration the cases treated a year; 3. It will be logical for the Research Official to perform the collection of material and inspection of the scene for the trial and inquiry of the cases, to attend the cases filed suit to the Supreme Court, to make commentarial papers regarding the judged cases, to collect statistics of marine accidents and to devise a reform measure through in-depth analysis of the accidents frequently occurred, to study for the improvement of the Maritime Accident Inquiry System;

Performance of the Korea Ocean Research and Development Institute (KORDI) operational storm surge prediction system for the Korean coast is presented here. Results for storm surge hindcasts and forecasts calculations were analyzed. The KORDI storm surge system consists of two important components. The first component is atmospheric models, based on US Army Corps of Engineers (CE) wind model and the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model, and the second components is the KORDI-storm surge model (KORDI-S). The atmospheric inputs are calculated by the CE wind model for typhoon period and by the WRF model for non-typhoon period. The KORDI-S calculates the storm surges using the atmospheric inputs and has 3-step nesting grids with the smallest horizontal resolution of ${\sim}$300 m. The system runs twice daily for a 72-hour storm surge prediction. It successfully reproduced storm surge signals around the Korean Peninsula for a selection of four major typhoons, which recorded the maximum storm surge heights ranging from 104 to 212 cm. The operational capability of this system was tested for forecasts of Typhoon Nari in 2007 and a low-pressure event on August 27, 2009. This system responded correctly to the given typhoon information for Typhoon Nari. In particular, for the low-pressure event the system warned of storm surge occurrence approximately 68 hours ahead.

The government introduced private infrastructure projects in order to reduce its financial burden by introducing private sectors efficiency and creativity and by utilizing their funds. Through revision, the act on the private investment of the infrastructure, many changes were made in the private investment system. The evaluation task to assess the project proposer's capability and to select a promoter is regarded as the most important process for fairness and transparency of the project. In this study, the improvement of project plan evaluation task of current private infrastructure projects is proposed based on the standard guideline for evaluation procedure of private infrastructure projects provided by Korea Development Institute. In addition, software program for evaluation procedure is made to improve the efficiency and enableconvenient evaluation task.

Porous poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) microspheres (PLGA MS) have been utilized as an inhalation delivery system and a matrix scaffold system for tissue engineering. Here, gelatin (type A) is introduced as an extractable pH-responsive porogen, which is capable of controlling the porosity and pore size of PLGA microspheres. Porous PLGA microspheres were prepared by a water-in-oil-in-water ($w_1/o/w_2$) double emulsification/solvent evaporation method. The surface morphology of these microspheres was examined by varying pH (2.0~11.0) of water phases, using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Also, their porosity and pore size were monitored by altering acidification time (1~5 h) using a phosphoric acid solution. Results showed that the pore-forming capability of gelatin was optimized at pH 5.0, and that the surface pore-formation was not significantly observed at pHs of < 4.0 or > 8.0. This was attributable to the balance between gel-formation by electrostatic repulsion and dissolution of gelatin. The appropriate time-selection between PLGA hardening and gelatin-washing out was considered as a second significant factor to control the porosity. Delaying the acidification time to ~5 h after emulsification was clearly effective to make pores in the microspheres. This finding suggests that the porosity and pore size of porous microspheres using gelatin can be significantly controlled depending on water phase pH and gelatin-removal time. The results obtained in this study would provide valuable pharmaceutical information to prepare porous PLGA MS, which is required to control the porosity.

This paper describes EGSE design for the small satellite such like KOMPSAT-2 satellite. Recent design trend of small satellite and EGSE is to take short development time and less cost. For this purpose, the design for KOMPSAT-2 satellite and EGSE are not much modified from KOMPSAT-1 heritage. It means that it is able to be accommodated the verified hardware and software modules used in KOMPSAT-1 satellite program if possible. The objective of EGSE is to provide hardware and software for efficient electrical testing of integrated KOMPSAT-2 satellite in three general categories. (1) Simulators for ground testing (e.g. solar-simulation power, earth scenes, horizons and sun sensor). (2) Ground station type satellite data acquisition and processing test sets. (3) Overall control of satellite using hardline datum. In KOMPSAT (KOrea Multi-Purpose SATellite) program, KOMPSAT-2 EGSE was developed to support satellite integration and test activities. The KOMPSAT-2 EGSE was designed in parallel with satellite design. Consequently, the KOMPSAT-2 EGSE was based on the KOMPSAT-1 heritage since the spacecraft design followed the heritage. The KOMPSAT-2 baseline was elaborated by taking advantage of experience from KOMPSAT-1 program. The EGSE of KOMPSAT-2 design concept is generic modular design with preference in part selection with commercial off-the-shelf which were proven from KOMPSAT-1 programs, flexible/user friendly operational environment (graphical interface preferred), minimized new design and self test capability.
In an agent-based system, each agent has its own decision making capability and competes, cooperates, and communicates each other with an agent interface. Virtual manufacturing has characteristics as a typical application area of agent-based system: complex and time-bound decision making and negotiation. The time-boundness influences the choice of decision making models and design of protocols for internal and external negotiation. In this paper, we provide a case study which suggests a time-bound framework for external and internal negotiation between the agents for virtual manufacturing environment. We illustrate decision making model selection strategy and the system architecture of the agent-based system for the complex and time-bound environment.

In Underwater Linear Sensor Networks (UW-LSN) routing process, nodes without proper address make it difficult to determine relative sensor details specially the position of the node. In addition, it effects to determine the exact leakage position with minimized delay for long range underwater pipeline monitoring. Several studies have been made to overcome the mentioned issues. However, little attention has been given to minimize communication delay using dynamic addressing schemes. This paper presents the novel solution called Hop-by-Hop Dynamic Addressing based Routing Protocol for Pipeline Monitoring (H2-DARP-PM) to deal with nodes addressing and communication delay. H2-DARP-PM assigns a dynamic hop address to every participating node in an efficient manner. Dynamic addressing mechanism employed by H2-DARP-PM differentiates the heterogeneous types of sensor nodes thereby helping to control the traffic flows between the nodes. The proposed dynamic addressing mechanism provides support in the selection of an appropriate next hop neighbour. Simulation results and analytical model illustrate that H2-DARP-PM addressing support distribution of topology into different ranges of heterogeneous sensors and sinks to mitigate the higher delay issue. One of the distinguishing characteristics of H2-DARP-PM has the capability to operate with a fewer number of sensor nodes deployed for long-range underwater pipeline monitoring.
