The purpose of this study was to examine the differences in clothing purchase behaviors among groups determined by subjective and chronological ages. The subjects of this study were teens and adults of up to 59 years of age residing in Seoul and the Metropolitan areas. Out of 700, 578 were used for final data analysis, Chi-square analysis, ANOVA, Duncans multiple range test and descriptive statistics were used for statistics analysis. The following results were found: the subjects were divided into 3 groups based on the subjective age. All age groups tended to perceive subjective age similar to chronological one. Regarding evaluative criteria for selecting clothes and stores, significant differences were found among all chronological and subjective age groups. By chronological age levels, significant differences were found among subjective age groups except the teens in the evaluative criteria used for purchasing clothing. Significant differences were found among subjective age group in all chronological age brackets in store selection criteria.

Human Resource Management (HRM) performs numerous activities in organizations including employee recruitment, selection, placement, job analysis, training and development, and labor relations. POSCO (Pohang Steel Company) has concerned with employee management related to job placement and analysis among these activities because of the problems of over-complexity of placement precedures for the variety of recruits, the frequency of selection, a large amount of job descriptions / specifications, and their changes. This study, as a phase of developing the entire HRM systems in the organization, briefly summarizes the preliminary information related and describes an implementation of expert system as a means for effective job placement based on the principle of right-person-in-right-place with identifying aptitudes and personalities of employees. Thus, a new approach for developing a job description/specification using a formal specification language like Z is also proposed. The result of this study will cultivate the performance of personnel, prevent conflicts between labor and management, promote overall productivity of organization, as well as helpfully verify job analysis.

In this paper, we apply several pattern recognition algorithms to emotion recognition system with speech signal and compare the results. Firstly, we need emotional speech databases. Also, speech features for emotion recognition is determined on the database analysis step. Secondly, recognition algorithms are applied to these speech features. The algorithms we try are artificial neural network, Bayesian learning, Principal Component Analysis, LBG algorithm. Thereafter, the performance gap of these methods is presented on the experiment result section. Truly, emotion recognition technique is not mature. That is, the emotion feature selection, relevant classification method selection, all these problems are disputable. So, we wish this paper to be a reference for the disputes.

U.S. nuclear regulatory commission(NRC) regulatory guide(RG) 1.20 requires a comprehensive vibration assessment program(CVAP) for use in verifying the structural integrity of reactor vessel internals(RVI) for flow-induced vibrations prior to commercial operation. The CVAP program consist of vibration and fatigue analysis, a vibration measurement program, an inspection program, and a correlation of their results. One of the main purposes of the analysis program is to select measurement locations, however measurement locations can not be determined by only analysis results, therefore we developed selection criteria of measurement locations for advanced power reactor 1400(APR1400) RVI CVAP, It will be used to select measurement locations and instrument types for APR1400 RVI CVAP.

Purpose - This study examines students' perspectives (stream-wise) of parameters affecting education quality in an affiliated undergraduate engineering institution in NCR, Haryana. Research design, data, and methodology - This study involves descriptive research and data collection using a structured questionnaire based on the Likert scale. The sample comprises 500 student respondents. For data analysis, an f-test was performed using high quality SPSS software. Results - For "Selection" and "Personality Development & Industry Exposure," the analysis of variance revealed a statistical difference between the mean values of the groups. Whereas, for "Academic Excellence," "Infrastructure," "Placements," and "Management & Administration," the analysis of variance revealed no statistical difference between the mean values of the groups. Conclusions - Students' perceptions about the "Selection" and "Personality Development & Industry Exposure" change according to the various specializations they opt for in their undergraduate engineering education in Haryana. Whereas, for "Academic Excellence," "Infrastructure," "Placements," and "Management & Administration," the perceptions of the students do not vary because of the different specializations they have opted for in their undergraduate engineering education.

In this study, following works have been carried out : division of Nakdong River Basin into 25 sub basins, development of a technique to evaluate spatial distribution of rainfall and analysis of rainfall data of 169 stations, selection of control points, and selection of a hydrologic model(SSARR). Analysis results were found that total volume of discharges at every control points have errors in a reasonable range, and the correlations between observed and calculated daily runoff discharges at every control points were well coincided.

Recently remodelling has been popular with the consensus on the environment protection, resources saving, and regards on the cultural value of buildings. and the remodelling is considered as a useful tool for commercial and apartment buildings. But, in Korea, the remodelling has been introduced recently and there is few reserches on the evaluation methods for value analysis in the remodelling. This research deals with economical selection method among various alternatives for living environment upgrading of old buildings. Also, this reserch studied on the selection method for the architect among various remodelling plans considering cost, building life cycle, and user needs when the remodelling is selected as the most economical method.

Most of studies on PC method aim at the structural analysis and development of PC members, and studies on the construction management aspect are insufficient. This study is a basic research in the construction management aspect regarding 'composite method using hollow-PC column' (HPC method), and is intended to develop assessment standards for the benefit·cost analysis of HPC method. Assessment standards for the benefit·cost analysis were composed of main-factors and sub-factors through interview with 4 experts. It was possible to classify main-factors into 4 major categories, i.e,. structural performance, construction performance, construction duration and construction cost. Sub-factors were composed of factors which were of high importance in assessing the two methods. And factors judged to be repeated or of little importance were excluded.

Beginning in the 2007-2008 season, the men's pro-basketball league changed a foreigner selection method by introducing a draft system which leads to a tryout from the free agency system. Also in the same season, the woman's pro-basketball league changed its system from one that permitted foreign players to one that doesn't allow foreign player participation. The reason for this change is thought to be financial problems. However this institutional change brings about the reduction in the quality of basketball and it will affect spectators in a negative way. The empirical study attempted to analyze the effects which follows an institutional change in Korean men's pro-basketball. The research showed that the men's pro-basketball league wasn't affected at all due to foreigner selection method by a draft system that led to a tryout from the free agency system.

As various colors are used indoors and such colors influence on the image of indoors, color selection and color combination are a very important issue in inferior design. The purpose of this study is to analyse characteristic of color usage in interior design elements such as the floor, the wall, the ceiling and furnitures. The result of analysis shows the frequently used Munsell code corresponding to the cmyk code. Based on this analysis, this paper classifies largely into two kinds of the color combination type which can be used leer efficient color selection with good harmony The first combination type is divided into five types and the second is classified into three types. This paper argues that combination design principle, as a strong design tool, for color should be further developed for good quality of color design.
