In order to prepare for the suitable surfaces of implants or medical devices, quantitative evaluation of adhesion between cells and biomaterials is essential. To better understand adhesion formation between cells and biomaterials, we used the cytodetachment technique which measures the adhesive force of a single cell through changing the, culture time and detachment speed. The results showed that the adhesive force could be affected by the culture time of cells on the surface of materials and the detachment speed. Moreover, there was a large discrepancy among the adhesion strength measured by similar techniques conducted on the different cells and substrates. It can be 'concluded that the variation of the force measurement technique can seriously alter the level of the force required to detach a cell on the surface of materials.

Consumers primarily consider flavor when they take yogurt. Recent researches on yogurt flavor productron its analytical technique have been extensively developed. These studies have provided a better understanding on the role of starter culture microorganisms on flavor formation and degradation. Yogurt volatile flavor compounds produced by the lactic cultures include acetaldehyde, diacetyl, ethanol and organic acid. Among them, acetaldehyde is recognized as a principal flavor component. since yogurt contains a delicate and low intense flavor, mild sample isolation techniques and sensitive identification means might be used. This paper attempts to discuss recent findings in yogurt flavor and to describe the application of yogurt flavor separation techniques. The section on practical aspects of culture selection based on flavor compound production and flavor analysis is also included.

Macrophages play a role in innate immune responses to various foreign antigens. Many products from primary tumors influence the activation and transmigration of macrophages. Here, we investigated a migration of macrophages stimulated with cancer cell culture-conditioned medium (CM). Macrophage activation by treatment with CM of B16F10 cells were judged by the increase in protein levels of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase 2 (COX2). The location where macrophages were at 4 h-incubation with control medium or CM was different from where they were at 5 h-incubation in culture dish. Percentage of superimposed macrophages at every 1 h interval was gradually increased by CM treatment as compared to control. Total coverage of migrated track expressed in coordinates was smaller and total distance of migration was shorter in CM-treated macrophages than that in control. Rac1 activity in CM-treated macrophages was also decreased as compared to that in control. When macrophages were treated with CM in the presence of dexamethasone (Dex), an increase in COX2 protein levels, and a decrease in Rac1 activity and total coverage of migration were reversed. In the meanwhile, biphasic changes were detected by Dex treatment in section distance of migration at each time interval, which was more decreased at early time and then increased at later time. Taken together, data demonstrate that macrophage motility could be reduced in accordance with activation in response to cancer cell products. It suggests that macrophage motility could be a novel marker to monitor cancer-associated inflammatory diseases and the efficacy of anti-inflammatory agents.

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of fast food customer's perceived risks on risk reduction behavior, attitude and purchase intention. A total of 268 usable surveys were collected using a stratified random sampling method. Descriptive analysis and factor analysis was then conducted using SPSS 12.0, and a Cronbach's $\alpha$ was generated to estimate the internal consistency of the survey items. Multiple regression analysis was used to evaluate the relationships among variables. The results indicated that fast food safety and monetary risks had a negative effect on customer feelings and satisfaction with fast food, which had a positive effect on buying purpose and recommendation purpose. Conversely, obesity and monetary risks only had a negative effect on buying purpose. An improved menu more effectively reduced the risk perceived by the fast-food customers than an improved image.

International public opinion on King Sejong Institute (KSI) is one of the most important factors influencing its overseas development as a worldwide non-profit educational service organization. China is one of the overseas strategic regions for KSI to spread the Korean Language. This paper intends to assess KSI's current public opinion environment in China. With content analysis of 87 news reports related to KSI in WeChat Official Accounts from 2014 to 2022, this paper attempts to assess the public opinion environment of KSI in China. In this paper, we show that the Chinese media' s current attention to KSI is generally lacking. The current reports focus more on activity narrations, and the main report factors come from local media and universities' oncampus news, which have relatively weak dissemination power and limited influences. On one side, the reasons are related to the characteristics of Chinese media, while the KSI establishment method in China also accounts for a lot. Therefore, it is necessary for the KSI to timely adjust the cooperation mode and publicity strategies according to the Chinese political and cultural characteristics to promote the sustainable development of KSI in China by continuously improving the public opinion environment.

This study was a basic study for the establishment of basic policies for the operation of Sejong City Library. It was intended to establish and operate the functions and roles of Sejong City Library by conducting a general survey on the current status, user demand, expert opinion, and librarian opinion survey. As a result, the Sejong City Library is the representative library of Sejong Special Self-Governing City, which oversees all public and small libraries in Sejong Special Self-Governing City and carries out support and cooperation projects, and should improve the development of the local community and the quality of life of local residents by providing more convenient and equal access to provide information services and cultural programs. Second, apart from providing library services to local residents in Sejong Special Self-Governing City, the functions of the Sejong Special Self-Governing City's representative library and hub library, knowledge and information center, lifelong education center, social and cultural center, leisure culture center, leisure and convenience center, and furthermore, it should function as a policy information support center. Finally, in order to enhance the brand value of Sejong City Library, the Sejong City Library as a landmark in Sejong area, the Sejong City Library as an art and cultural hub in Sejong area, the Sejong City Library as a complex cultural space in Sejong area, and the Sejong City Library as a center for Sejong Studies were proposed.

This study was performed to determine by the ability of the mixed culture of Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus to ferment Dioscorea opposita Thunb. (yam) and to evaluate the nutraceutical value of fermented yam. The titratable acidity (TA) value increased from 2 to 6% with increased concentrations in both raw yam and extracted lactic acid bacteria (LAB) fermented yam (LFY). The viable cell counts and the allantoin and diosgenin contents were higher in raw LFY at large concentrations (6%) than in extracted LFY samples at all fermentation periods up to 32 h. Based on these data, it confirmed that raw yam fermented by the combination culture of L. bulgaricus and S. thermophilus for various fermentation periods favors the symbiotic growth of LAB and results in higher nutraceutical content.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of organizational culture to the activities satisfaction of volunteer firefighter. For that, we surveyed 182 volunteer firefighters worked in Sejong city. The survey was analyzed the reliability in questionnaire design by SPSS 20.0 win program. The interrelationship of each factors were confirmed by analysis of frequency, percentage and regression analysis. The regression analysis was performed in order to investigate effects of group, development, hierachy, and rationality culture based organizational culture on activities satisfaction of volunteer firefighter. A factor of group and development culture in organizational culture was found to be a positive influence on the activities satisfaction of the volunteer firefighter under significance probability of < 0.05. The bigger group and development culture the volunteer fire department, the higher the activities satisfaction of the volunteer firefighter. This paper is expected to serve as a basis for the efficient operation of the volunteer fire department in Korea.

The National Library of Korea (Sejong), which was launched in December 2013, has been in the spotlight as a specialized library for Korean policy information and as a Sejong city complex cultural facility. Nevertheless, the essential identity, organizational status, division of affairs and core competencies, policy information collection, and services of the NLK (Sejong) are weak and inadequate. Therefore, this study developed a job model for establishing an essential identity and providing high-quality policy information services nationwide and suggested a strategic organizational reorganization plan. The job model was proposed as a total of 110 by adding 38 to the existing 72. Based on this job model, the short-term reorganization model (2023-2024) changed the grade of the library director from the current grade 4 (administrative officer) to Senior Executive, and the grade of the director by division from grade 5 (secretary) to grade 4. The sub-organization has expanded the current 3 divisions (planning management, policy information, and service use) to 4 divisions (planning administration, library collection and development, policy information service, and public service and culture, with a total of 51 personnel. In the mid-to-long-term model (2025-2032), the sub-organization was expanded to 4 divisions and 1 office (planning administration, library collection and development, policy information service, public service and culture, and policy information research), and presented a total of 61 personnel. To this end, it is necessary to persuade stakeholders with the argument of advocating the Korean policy information center, which is a macro-strategic goal, and focus all capabilities on strategic reorganization and revision of 「Decree on the Organization of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism」.
