좀향유의 삽목 증식 및 시비에 따른 유묘의 생장 효과 (Cutting Propagation and Seedling Growth Effect According to Fertilizer Application of Elsholtzia minima Nakai)

  • 본 연구는 제주특산식물인 좀향유의 현지 내・외 보존을 위한 기초 연구로서 증식체계를 마련하고 전처리제 처리에 따른 발근 특성과 시비에 따른 유묘의 생장 효과를 등을 알아보았다. 온실과 밀폐상의 온습도 조사결과 평균 온도는 비슷하였으나 공중 습도는 온실보다 밀폐상이 높은 습도를 유지하였으며, 좀향유 삽목 후 온실은 10일, 밀폐상은 7일만에 최초 발근을 확인하여 밀폐상의 빠른 발근율을 보였으며 온실과 밀폐상에서의 생존율, 발근율, 뿌리수 등은 근소하게 밀폐상이 높게 조사되어 온실보다 밀폐상이 효과적이었다. 발근억제물질 제거를 위한 전처리제 처리는 AgNO3 77.5%를 제외한 다른 처리구에서 95% 이상의 높은 발근율로 조사되어 좀향유의 경우 발근억제 물질은 적은 것으로 판단된다. 유묘의 용기별 질소 시비량 및 Osmocote 시비시험 결과 시비량과 용기의 조건에 따라 생존율과 생장 등에 차이를 보였다. 배양판에서 완효성 비료인 Osmocote를 시비한 결과 생존율, 지상부, 지하부 생장 등이 가장 양호하여 좀향유의 유묘 증식을 위해서는 Osmocote 시비가 바람직 할 것으로 판단된다.

해수농도가 큰비쑥의 종자발아 및 유식물 생장에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Seawater Concentration on Seed Germination and Seedling Growth of Artemisia fukudo)

  • Halophytes are plants of saline habitats that grow under conditions that may vary in extremes of temperatures (freezing to very hot), water availability (drought to water logging) and salinity (mild to almost saturation). Halophytes may also face sudden micro-environmental variations within their habitats. In this study, we examine some of the factors that determine the ability of seeds of Artemisia fukudo to germinate when conditions are optimal for seedling growth and survival. Germination percentage was the highest at 77.5% when treated in 0% seawater and seedling growth was best in 0% seawater plug cell tray. Physiological quality (chlorophyll contents) and mean germination time were best in the condition in which seeds were treated with 0% seawater (control). Germination performance index in the control group showed the highest value to 3.8. Seedling growth, seedling vigor index in the length of seedling growth andthe relative growth rate were the highest values of 0.76 cm, 1.43, 0.0099, respectively.

Effect of Sowing Time on Germination and Early Seedling Growth of Quercus floribunda Lindl.

  • Quercus floribunda (Tilonj oak) is among the five species of Quercus and an evergreen tree found in Kumaun Himalayan region. Timing of germination is a crucial event determining the success of seedling establishment and survival. The aims of the study were to investigate the effect of sowing date on the germination and morphological responses of Tilonj oak (Quercus floribunda), cultivated during the month of August-September, with supplementary irrigation. The experiment was conducted by sowing seeds at two dates with one month interval in glass house conditions at DSB Campus, Nainital, Uttarakhand, India. Present study revealed that higher germination percentage (46.67 %) was recorded at sowing time $S_2$ as compared to the sowing time $S_1$ (32.86 %). Germination percentage as well as seedling growth were affected by sowing date though the differences were insignificant. At both the sowing dates, highest germination percentage was recorded for large seeds (32.86-46.67 %) followed by medium (31.43-33.33 %) and lowest germination (6.67-7.14 %) was recorded for small size seeds. In all parameters assessed, sowing time $S_2$ had the best performance in combination with large seed size. Thus, September is suitable month for best germination, growth and seedling vigour and large seed size is recommended to silviculturists and tree planters. The information on seed germination and seedling growth is vital both for conservation and rehabilitation of degraded lands.

방사선 조사시의 수도종자의 수분함량과 산소와의 관계 (Post-Irradiation Oxygen Effect of Rice Seeds in Varying Seed Water Content)

  • 방사선후처리로서 산소가 수분함량이 다른 수도종자에 미치는 영향을 조사코저 수분함량 5.6∼14.7%까지의 종자에 3∼25kR의 방사선량을 조사한 후 산소 및 질소로 bubbling한 상태에서 hydration처리하였다. 효과가 현저하여 5.6∼12.9%까지는 산소처리에 의한 묘장 및 생존율의 감소가 나타났지만 13.9%부터 그 이상에서는 차이가 없었다. 엽록소돌연변이율 및 불임율은 6.5%의 저수분에서 13.0%의 고수분함량에 이르기까지 공히 산소처리에 의한 영향이 있었고 특히 저수분함량일수록 또는 방사선량이 높을수록 그차이는 현저하였다.

Alfalfa의 재배에 관한 연구 II. 석탄 및 구비의 시용과 근류균접종이 초기생육 , 뿌리혹 형성 및 건물수량에 미치는 영향 (studies on the Production of Alfalfa ( Medicago sativa L.) II. Effectcs of liming , manure application , and inoculation with Rhizobium on early growth, nodulation and dry matter yield)

  • This experiment was carried out to investigate the effects of liming, manure application, and inoculation with Rhizobium on the early growth, nodulation, seedling establishment, winter survival, and forage yield and quality of alfalfa(Medicago sativa L.) at the Experimental Livestock Farm, College of Agriculture, Seoul National University, Suweon in 1985 and 1986. The results obtained are as follows: 1. Seedling vigor and nodule formation of alfalfa at early stage were the best in the treatments of liminginoculation( L1) and liming-manure-inoculation(LM1). 2. Seedling establishment was not significantly affected by the treatments of liming, manure application, nodulation and the combination of these. 3. The LI and LMI treatments showed the highest winter survival of 94.3 and 83.5%, respectively, but the lowest winter su.rvival of 55.9 and 58.5% was found in no treatment(None) and inoculation( I ), respectively. 4. No differences in crude protein(CP1, acid detergent fiber(ADF) and neutral detergent fiber(NDF) contents were found among the treatments. 5. There were significant differences in the total dry matter yield of alfalfa among the treatments. The total dry matter yields of 10,618, 11,830, 11,855 and 13,456 kg/ha from the treatments of L, LM, LI and LMI, respectively, were significantly higher than those of None, M and I treatments. 6. Based on the results of the experiment, it appears that the dry matter yield of alfalfa could be enhanced by the treatments of liming with Rhizobium inoculation and also liming, manure application and Rhizobium inoculation as a practical method.

땅찌만가닥버섯균(菌)의 접종(接種)이 참싸리 묘목(苗木)의 균근형성(菌根形成)과 생장(生長)에 미치는 영향(影響) (Effects of Lyophyllum shimeji Inoculation on the Mycorrhizal Formation and Seedling Growth of Lespedeza cyrtobortya)

  • 훼손된 비탈면의 조림에 균근균의 이용가능성을 타진하기 위하여, 땅찌만가닥버섯(Lyophyllum shimeji)의 배양학적 특성 및 인공접종에 의한 참싸리(Lespedeza cyrtobotrya)에서의 균근 형성 특성을 조사하였다. L. shimeji는 MP (1% malt extract, 0.1% peptone, 1% glucose, 1.5% agar)배지에서 균사 생장이 가장 왕성하였으며, 균사 최적 배양 온도 및 pH는 각각 $25^{\circ}C$ 및 pH 6 이었다. 인공접종에 의한 참싸리에서의 균근 형성 특성을 조사한 결과, L. shimeji는 Hartig net을 형성하는 외생균근의 특성을 나타내었으며, 균근 접종 실생 묘목 뿌리의 생장율은 대조구에 비하여 우수하였다. 균근 접종 실생 묘목을 비탈면에 이식하였을 때의 생존율 및 건중량은 각각 62% 및 850 mg/본 이었으나, 균근을 접종하지 않은 실생 묘목의 생존율 및 건중량은 각각 11% 및 430 mg/본 이었다.

Population Dynamics of Quercus mongolica in Mt. Jumbong

  • Distribution of size class, population regeneration and changes in the population structure of Quercus mongolica were studied from 1994 to 1999 in Mt. Jumbong (128°27' E, 38° 04' N) of Mt. Sorak National Park and Biosphere Reserve in central Korea. Three 20m × 20m permanent quadrats were set up at the elevation of 900m. The vegetation of the study site was dominated by Quercus mongolica and Acer pseudosieboldianum, but little change was observed in the community structure from 1995 to 1999. Most mortality in the study site was observed in small trees of A. pseudosieboldianum and Tilia amurensis. Mean annual growth in dbh (diameter of breast height) of Q. mongolica for 4 years was only 0.09cm, and no ingrowth of saplings (dbh < 2.5cm) into tree class was observed during the study period. Among the 21 Q. mongolica trees studied in the permanent quadrats. all the smaller trees (dbh < 30cm) were established in 1920 ∼ 1950, while many bigger trees (with 40cm < dbh < 80cm) were established in 1750 ∼ 1800, indicating that its establishment was episodic. Distribution of dbh classes among Q. mongolica trees shows that smaller trees were poorly represented, and no saplings of Q. mongolica occurred in the permanent quadrats studied, indicating that currently Q. mongolica is not regenerating well in the study site. Total seed production of Q. mongolica in 1994 was estimated as 88 acorns per square meter in the study site. Rate of predation including caching of acorns was highest in 1994, then declined sharply thereafter. Most of the acorns which managed to survive in the first year were predated in the second year, and only 5% of the acorns produced in 1994 survived into the third year. No seeds produced in 1994 or seedlings germinated from them succeeded to survive to 5 years after seed production. However, seedling emergence rate and seedling survival were high in the early growing season in 1995. These results suggest that predation can be a significant factor in the regeneration of Q. mongolica. and that Q. mongolica is not regenerating well in Mt. Jumbong and needs large scale disturbances for its new recruitment.

천연활엽수림내 잣나무(Pinus koraiensis) 수하식재 성적 평가 (The Evaluation for the Performance of Pinus koraiensis Underplanting in the Natural Deciduous Forest)

  • 이 시험 연구는 울폐된 천연활엽수림 내에 수하식재한 2-2 잣나무 묘목의 생육 성적을 평가하기 위하여 실시되었다. 식재 후 7년 동안의 생존률과 생장율에 대하여 상층 임관의 효과가 평가되었다. 7년생 잣나무 치수의 활착율은 약 80%로 조사되었으며, 평균 수고는 0.9m, 최소치는 0.3m, 최고치는 2.1m로 측정되었고, 평균 근원경은 1.7cm, 최소치는 l.4cm, 최고치는 3.5cm로 조사되었다. 개벌 후, 인공 조림한 잣나무의 생육 상황과 비교해 볼 때, 이 시험에서 수하식재된 잣나무 치수의 생육 상황은 공한지 인공 조림목에 비해서 매우 열등하여, 수고는 약 30%, 직경은 약 20%에도 미치지 못하는 것으로 파악되었다. 내음성이 있는 잣나무 치수라 할지라도 정상 생육하기에 상층의 울폐도가 너무 높다고 판단된다. 잣나무의 정상적인 생장과 발달을 위해서는 천연림 보육 작업에 준하는 벌채를 통하여 우량 활엽수를 잔존시키면서 50% 이상의 상층 임관을 열어 주어 광선 조건을 개선시켜야 할 것이다.

담수 직파에서 산소 및 온도조건에 따른 혐기발아 내성 자원과 국내 직파 적응성 벼 품종의 입모특성 비교 (Effect of Oxygen and Temperature Levels on the Seedling Characteristics of Korean and Anaerobic Germination-tolerant Rice under Flooding Conditions)

  • 본 연구는 담수직파 초기 입모율 개선을 위해 혐기발아 내성이 우수한 자원들과 국내에서 육성된 직파적응성 품종 간 담수 중 입모관련 특성을 조사하고 담수 환경이 입모 관련 형질에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 저온에서 AGT 3자원들의 평균 저온발아율은 92.9%, 평균발아일수 9.1일로 KV품종들의 평균 저온 발아율 62.0%, 평균 발아속도 11.2일에 비해 저온조건에서도 발아율이 높았으며 발아 속도도 빠른 것으로 나타났다. 노지 담수 조건에서 AGT 품종들의 평균 생존율은 53%로 국내 직파 품종의 평균 생존율 22.7%보다 높았으며 온실 담수조건에서도 KV 품종에 비해 입모특성이 우수한 경향이었다. 특히 KHO, PBR, WD3는 저온발아율 및 혐기발아율 등 담수직파 관련형질이 우수하여 담수 직파 전용 벼품종개발을 위한 유용 유전자원으로 활용성이 클 것으로 판단되었다. 모든 공시품종들은 저온(15℃, 18℃)의 담수조건에서 대체적으로 혐기발아율 및 생존율이 낮았으며 초엽 및 유근의 생장도 불량하였으나 21℃ 이상의 조건에서는 생존율과 혐기발아 특성이 크게 개선되었다. 초기입모 관련 형질의 변이에는 온도>용존산소>품종 순으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 발아율 및 유근생장 변이에는 다른 형질에 비해 용존산소 농도의 영향이 다소 크게 작용하는 것으로 나타났다.

북방전복 종묘생산을 위한 농축 규조류 Caloneis schroederi와 Rhaphoneis sp.의 효과 (Effect of the concentrated-diatom of Caloneis schroederi and Rhaphoneis sp. for seedling production of Haliotis discus hannai)

  • Even though seedling production of Haliotis discus hannai has fully developed, the culture of benthic diatom as a live food for larvae is still a barrier to solve in commercial hatchery. The farmer depends on mixed microalgae which are non-selectively attached on the plate by flowing of natural seawater. The adequate diatom on the plate for the larvae in terms of quality and quantity is always significant bottleneck in the hatchery. In this study, two benthic diatom species, Caloneis schroederi and Rhaphoneis sp. were separately cultured in mass and inoculated to four tons' settlement tank of the larvae. And the larvae and the spats were cultured for nineteen and nine weeks, respectively. The result on seedling production of H. discus hannai with this method was compared to that of the farmer's traditional method as a control. With regard to variation of species composition of benthic diatom on the plate, C. schroederi and Rhaphoneis sp. were dominant for first three weeks after inoculation. But the diverse diatoms mainly, Navicula, Amphora, Cylindrotheca, Licmophora, Pleurosigma began to attache on the plate from the 4th week. The larvae attached 2.5 times more in C. schroederi tank than in the control tank. The final total biomass of the seeds in Rhaphoneis sp. tank was 3.2 times more than that of the control tank. The retared-spats in the seedling production also showed significantly higher growth and survival in the spat fed Rhaphoneis sp. or C. schroederi than those in the control group. We suggest that C. schroederi is proper for settlement of the larvae and Rhaphoneis sp. is appropriate for the growth of the larvae and spats in the commercial hatchery of H. discus hannai.
