  • In this paper, we propose adaptive convergence security policies and management technologies to improve security assurance in the home networking environment. Many security issues may arise in the home networking environment. Examples of such security issues include the user privacy, the service security, the integrated networking security, the middleware security and the device failure. All these security issues, however, should be fulfilled in phase due to many difficulties including deployment cost and technical complexity. For instance, fundamental security requirements such as authentication, access control and prevention of crime and disaster should be addressed first. Then, supplementary security policies and diverse security management technologies should be fulfilled. In this paper, we classify these requirements into three categories, a service authentication, a user authentication and a device authentication, and propose security policies and management technologies for each requirement. Since the home gateway is responsible for interconnection of many home devices and external network access, a variety of context information could be collected from such devices.

  • State information policy is an important component of foreign and domestic policy of the country and covers all spheres of society. The rapid development of the information sphere is accompanied by the emergence of fundamentally new threats to the interests of the individual, society, state and its national security. The article considers the components of the state information policy to ensure information security of the country and identifies the main activities of public authorities in this area. Internal and external information threats to the national security of Ukraine and ways to guarantee the information security of the country are analyzed. Information security is seen as a component of national security, as well as a global problem of information protection, information space, information sovereignty of the country and information support of government decisions. Approaches to ensure the process of continuity of the information security system of the state in order to monitor new threats, identify risks and levels of their intensity are proposed.

  • These days cyber attacks are increasing all over the world, and the national critical infrastructure and information network protection has become important. For this reason, the concentrated investment in information security and development of professional human resource are essential, but there is a shortage of information security workforce in Korea. Currently, departments of information security in domestic universities make efforts to develop human resource of information security and have a increasing interest in the curriculum design. So this paper investigates the curriculums of information security in domestic universities and graduate schools. And then, it compares with the needs of industry knowledge and skills by using SPSS. Through this analysis, we will get implications about curriculum design of Information security.

  • In the near future, the wireless home networks will connect several devices at home. Due to the broadcast nature of a wireless network, anyone can hear and capture communication. Thus, we need to protect our network from attacks outside the house. In this paper, we propose and implement a security system that provides different levels of the security services to heterogenous home devices. To reduce the communication cost and workload of the server, home devices send the encrypted messages directly instead of sending through the sever. We implement our security system on laptops using JAVA and our security system achieves the better performance with the large number of devices and messages in a network. In order to prove that our security system is secure against various attacks, we analyze the security of our security system using attack trees.

  • Owing to the convergence of the communication network with the control system and public network, security threats, such as information leakage and falsification, have become possible through various routes. If we examine closely at the security type of the current control system, the operation of the security system focuses on the threats made from outside to inside, so the study on the detection system of the security threats conducted by insiders is inadequate. Thus, this study, based on "Spotting the Adversary with Windows Event Log Monitoring," published by the National Security Agency, found that event logs can be utilized for the detection and maneuver of threats conducted by insiders, by analyzing the validity of detecting insider threats to the control system with the list of important event logs.

  • Software Defined Networking (SDN) is a novel approach that have accelerated the development of numerous technologies such as policy-based access control, network virtualization, and others. It allows to boost network architectural flexibility and expedite the return on investment. However, this increases the system's complexity, necessitating the expenditure of dollars to assure the system's security. Network Function Virtualization (NFV) opens up new possibilities for network engineers, but it also raises security concerns. A number of Internet service providers and network equipment manufacturers are grappling with the difficulty of developing and characterizing NFVs and related technologies. Through Moodle's efforts to maintain security, this paper presents a detailed review of security-related challenges in software-defined networks and network virtualization services.

  • The Enterprise Security Management system is a centralized control system based on predefined security policies by organizations. In Korea, there is a Common Criteria security certification according to the strict standards for various features. As the needs of information security product are increasing, the ESM system should be evaluated with quality characteristics. In this paper, we propose evaluation items for functionality and performance of Enterprise Security Management system, and the best practices for evaluation.

  • The related-key attack is regarded as one of the important cryptanalytic tools for the security evaluation of block ciphers. This is due to the fact that this attack can be effectively applied to schemes like block-cipher based hash functions whose block-cipher keys can be controlled as their messages. In this paper, we improve the related-key attack on lightweight block cipher PRINCE proposed in FSE 2013. Our improved related-key attack on PRINCE reduces data complexity from $2^{33}$ [4] to 2.
