단면형상 분석을 이용한 요철이 심한 금석문(金石文) 판독 향상 방법 연구 (A Study on Readability Improvement Method for Ancient Inscription of Irregularity Surface using Cross Section Analysis)

  • Outdoor cultural properties have been damaged by natural weathering and air pollution for a long time. For this reason, there are many characteristics it is hard to decipher some carved inscription on the surface of damaged outdoor cultural properties. Until now, Rubbed copy has been widely used to decode engraved inscription. A investigation for epigraph has been made by the rubbing that has resulted in a lower resolution from the viewpoints of extraction process and used materials. Rubbing's results are not satisfied in the damaged inscriptions which are weathered by natural environment and pollution for a long time and in the narrowed one. The main analysis presented in this paper is a cross section analysis method using 3d scanning technique for epigraph not read. Cross section analysis is a study on readability improvement method for ancient inscription of irregularity monument surface. Cross section analysis confirms information that separated the inscription information of monument and the ground information to read a ancient inscription and decode the inscription information. The proposed character identification method contributed to decoding an ancient inscription on Silla Monument in Jungseong-ri of Pohang.

  • For effective distribution planning and operation, we need a reliable estimation of operation capacity. But it is difficult to ensure reliability due to the low accuracy of section load data, which is used as a basis in estimating the operation capacity. This paper discusses how to improve the accuracy of section load data by analyzing the existing method of estimating the section load, using statistical techniques to adjust the acquired data, and using the section load estimation algorithm to estimate the section load based on the adjusted data.

  • A novel multi-section power divider configuration is Proposed to obtain wide-band frequency performance up to microwave frequency region. Design procedures for the proposed microwave broadband power divider are composed of a Planar multi-section three-Ports hybrid and a waveguide transformer design procedures. The multi∼section power divider is based on design theory of the optimum quarter- wave transformer Furthermore, in order to obtain the broadband isolation performance between the two adjacent output ports, the odd mode equivalent circuit should be matched by using the lossy element such as resistor. The derived design formula for calculating these odd mode∼matching elements is based on the singly terminated filter design theory. The waveguide transformer section is designed to suppress the propagation of the higher order modes such as waveguide modes due to employing the metallic electric wall. Simulation and experiment show excellent performance of multi section power divider.

대형 선박엔진용 크랭크축 해석을 위한 보-질량 모델 생성 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Efficient Generation of Beam-Mass Model for Simplification of the Crankshaft in the Large Marine Engine)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the simplified model of the crankshaft in the large marine engine for dynamic analysis. Because the actual engine system is under complex dynamic loading condition and it has multi-cylinder, the dynamic analysis is purchased at a high computation cost. In spite of this burden, the dynamic analysis must be perfonned to assure structural integrity of operating marine engine. Therefore, simplification of the analytic model is necessary for dynamic analysis. Beam-mass model, which is generated with the section property method, is the model simplified effectively. Section property method can provide desired section information by optimization technique. By applying beam-mass model to the crankshaft in the large marine engine, the usefulness of the proposed method was proven.

DMS 모델과 퍼지 개념을 이용한 HMM에 기초를 둔 음성 인식 (HMM-based Speech Recognition using DMS Model and Fuzzy Concept)

  • 본 논문은 화자 독립의 음성인식을 위한 연구로서, DMS(Dynamic Multi-Section) 모델에 의한 DMSVQ(Dynamic Multi-Section Vector Quantization) 코드북과 퍼지 개념을 이용한 HMM(Hidden Markov Model) 음성인식 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 인식 방법에서는 학습 데이터를 동적으로 몇 개의 구간(section)으로 분할한 후, 각 구간마다 DMSVQ 코드북(codebook)으로 부터 거리값이 작은 순으로 퍼지 법칙을 적용함으로써 적당한 확률값을 준 다중 관측열(multi-observation sequences)을 구한다. 그런 다음, 이 다중 관측열을 이용하여 HMM을 작성하고, 인식시에는 관측 확률값이 가장 높은 것을 인식된 것으로 선택한다. 제안된 방법에 의한 인식 실험은 기존의 다양한 인식 실험들과 비교를 위해 동일한 조건하에서 같은 데이터로 수행 하였다. 실험 결과로서, 본 연구에서 제안한 방법이 기존의 방법들보다 우수한 방법임을 입증하였다.

측방향흐름이 있는 만곡부 흐름의 해석

  • 측류취소로와 만곡부가 있는 원형수로를 1:20으로 축척한 모형수로에 대해 수리모형실험을 수행하여 만곡부에서의 유속, 수위와 유황과 같은 수리학적 특성을 살펴보고, 측류취소로가 만곡부에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 모형수로에 대해 ADI방법으로 천수방정식을 수치해석하여 얻은 만곡부에서의 수리학적 특성을 실험에 의한 것과 비교하여 사용된 수치기법을 검증하였다. 대상이 된 전영역에 대하여 수리모형실험에서 얻어진 유속, 수위와 유황은 수치해석한 결과와 잘 일치한다. 그러나 직각좌표계를 사용함으로서 상대적으로 만곡부에서 단면축소 효과가 발생하므로 수치해석으로 얻어진 유속은 만곡부에서 실험치보다 약간 크게 나타나는데, 이것은 격자간격을 줄이면 개선되리라 판단된다. 수리모형실험과 수치해석 모두 만곡부 외측의 수위가 상승하고 내측의 유속이 빨라지는 만곡부의 특성을 잘 모사하고 있다. 만곡부 직전에 측류취수로가 있을 경우 측류취수로의 영향이 만곡수로내까지 미침을 알 수 있었다.

선체 횡단면의 전단흐름 계산 프로그램 개발 (Development of Shear Flow Calculation Program for Ship Hull Transverse Section)

  • Accurate estimation of shear flows in thin-walled beam section is the key issue to evaluate shear stress distribution of ship hull transverse section under the shear forces acting on hull girder. It is regarded that the method using the warping functions obtained by finite element formulation is the state of the art of this field. Recently, however, IACS took effect the new version of CSR in which direct calculation process of shear flow was suggested. In the direct calculation process, shear flow of ship hull section can be obtained by the addition of determinate and indeterminate shear flows calculated respectively. So, in this paper, the shear flow evaluation codes based on the process proposed by IACS CSR and warping function based method were developed respectively. The calculated results of shear flows for the several examples of ship sections were compared with each other and considered in detail.

  • In this study, we considered the method evaluation the flexibility of joint area including member with circular section. We regarded the flexibility of joint area as translational and rotational springs for the purpose of expressing local deformation. We verified this method by the use of normal mode analysis. We also calculated this joint area occurring in penetration so as to apply this method to other cases. Compare with the shell element model. we can the considerably approximate values.

고속도로 터널부 도로 용량 감소율에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Road Capacity Reduction Rate of Freeway Tunnel Section)

  • 본 연구에서는 고속도로 VDS 검지기 데이터를 활용하여 터널 구간과 일반 구간의 도로용량을 산정하여 비교하였으며, 터널 특성 요인에 따라 분류된 터널유형별 터널 진입 전 대비 터널 내부 도로용량 감소율을 분석하였다. 터널 구간과 일반 구간의 도로 용량을 비교하기 위해 5분 단위 VDS 검지기 데이터에 Product Limit Method(PLM)을 적용하였다. PLM으로 도출된 터널 구간 및 일반 구간의 도로 용량을 비교한 결과, 터널 구간은 일반 구간 대비 도로 용량이 약 6.5% 감소하였다. 터널 유형 분류를 위해 터널 연장과 터널 내 차로수를 변수로 활용하였으며, 각 기준에 의해 분류된 터널 집단별 도로 용량 감소율에는 차이가 있었다.

Improvement of Histopathological Sample Preparation by Employing Microwave Heating Method on Frozen Section Specimens

  • Biological samples can be fixed either by chemical method by using chemical solution or physical methods by using heat treatment. The problem in traditional heat fixation is unsatisfactory quality due to uneven heat conduction in specimen and loss of inner cell contents. Chemical fixation method also bears several intrinsic problems like the limit in specimen size, time consumption in fixative impregnation, and loss of low molecular weight cell components. These factors deteriorate the quality of fixed specimen, thus limit the magnification and contrast of tissue pictures. Microwave heat has been reported to be a good alternative to current chemical methods to overcome these problem. In this study, we tried to introduce the microwave energy method to routine fixation work in hospital. We replaced chemical fixative with saline to provide moderate reaction condition, and used frozen section to reduce time for sample preparation. Temperature was measured at each experiment. The fixation of rat kidney tissue with 2.45 GHz electromagnetic wave and saline showed similar result to the control group fixed with traditional chemical method. Human tumor tissue fixed with 2.45 GHz electromagnetic in frozen section was improved in terms of histochemistry of PAS and immunohistochemistry of tumor marker like cytokeratin. Total turnaround time was reduced from $24\sim38$ h to to $2\sim4$ h. In conclusion, the quality of samples prepared by microwave heating method was at least as good as that of traditional method. If the condition for the fixation of different specimens is standardized, this new method could be applied to routine work in hospital, and could save working time as well.
