  • To investigate the evidence for the influence of sea water on Pohang geothermal groundwater, the chemical data for geothermal groundwaters from which are pumped during 48 hours and other hot groundwaters, another groundwater on the well for the purpose of agriculture, were considered. And to predict possible the secondary mineral which are easily to make the clogging, geochemical modeling was carried out using EQ3NR equilibrium solubility code. The results are that 1.4%~3.3%(bulk composition) of sea water were mixed with geothermal groundwater. From the well logging data, when the level of groundwater is drow down, the conductivity is increased in the geothermal groundwater, the existence of transition zone are recognized in the well. The predicted possible secondary minerals are Antigorite [Mg48Si24O85(OH)62], Chrysolite [Mg3Si2O5(OH)4] , Cristobalite, Dolomite, Talc, Tremolite. The recommended cooling temperature of best condition to minimize the production of secondary minerals is same as temperature of geothermal water pumped from the well.

  • By the floating zone method with infrared radiation convergence type heater homogeneously $Cr^{3+}$ doped alu-mina single crystal was obtained. And sizx {1010} facets appeared at the surface of [0001] grown crystals. $ZrO_2$ and $HfO_2$ precipitated as secondary phase and were not doped in the crystals. We found that the dist-ribution of the secondary phase which was mainly located at the surface and the peripheral region was closely related to the flow pattern of melt zone.

  • Secondary users should sense the licensed spectrum bands in order to protect the primary users from interference. However, periodic and frequent sensing for immediate detection of primary users usually gives rise to much sensing overhead, and thus will quickly drain the battery as well as deteriorate the performance of a secondary user. To overcome such problems, we focus on the method reducing sensing overhead of each secondary user and propose a distributed fair sensing scheme that the multiple users within a certain area, so-called sensing zone, sense the spectrum bands in a fairly distributed manner and share the results among the users within respective sensing zone. The design of the frame structure for the proposal is also demonstrated while considering the sensing requirements for protecting primary users. The performance results by numerical analyses and computer simulations show that our proposed sensing scheme significantly reduces the sensing overhead of each user compared to the conventional sensing scheme and also satisfies the given sensing requirements for primary user protection.

  • Flow characteristics at secondary recirculation zone in a liquid fuel ramjet combustor were investigated using CFD and Stereoscopic PIV method. The combustors have two rectangular inlets that form 90 degree each other. Three guide vanes were installed in each rectangular inlet to improve the flow stability. The tested angle of the air intakes was 60 degree. The experiments were performed in the water tunnel test with the same Reynolds number in the case of Mach 0.3 at inlet. The computational and experimental results showed that the secondary recirculation flow occurred at the front junction of inlet main stream and combustor chamber. The size of secondary recirculation regions are increased with approaching closer to the center of the combustor. Since the performance of combustor is closely dependent not only on the main recirculation in the dome region but also on the secondary recirculation flow in a junction region, the optimal angle of the air intakes should be considered the recirculation size as frame holder.

  • Constancia mine is a deposit developed within Andahuaylas-Yauri Cu-Mo-Au metallogenic belt, southeastern Peru and is located in the southwestern part of Abancay deformation zone structurally as the porphyry copper deposit type. Mineralized zone in Constancia mine are composed of leached zone, secondary enrichment zone(ca. 1% Cu), mixed zone, primary mineralized zone(ca. 0.5%), skarn zone(ca. 1.5% Cu) from the upper part. Main country rock is monzonitic porphyry. Leached zone are characterized by the precipitation of limonite and looks brown in the outcrop. Oxidized zone have green due to the occurrence of copper oxide and secondary enrichment zone are characterized by the occurrence of chalcocite. Skarn zone are characterized by the occurrence of magnetite and garnet. Now, Hudbay, Canadian mining company, have 100% share about Constancia mine and started to produce commercially from January, 2015.

  • The objective of the present study is to analyze the transient flow through theejector system with the help of a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method. An attempt is made to investigate the interesting and conflicting phenomenon of the infinite entrainment into the primary stream without an infinite mass supply from the secondary chamber. The results obtained show that the one and only condition in which an infinite mass entrainment can be possible in such types of ejectors is the generation of a re-circulation zone near the primary nozzle exit. The flow in the secondary chamber attains a state of dynamic equilibrium of pressures at the onset of the recirculation zone. A steady flow in the ejector system is valid only after this point.

  • A numerical study was conducted to investigate the effects of flow parameters in a entrained flow combustor on the flow characteristics. The computational model was based on the gas phase Eulerian equations of mass, momentum and energy. The code was formulated with RNG k-$\varepsilon$ model for turbulent flow. The calculation parameters were the magnitude of primary and secondary jet velocity and the height difference between primary and secondary jet. As the secondary jet velocity increased, the upper recirculation zone of the primary jet was strengthened. It was found that as the primary jet velocity increased, there was a critical jet velocity at which the size of upper and lower recirculation zone was changed.

  • A two phase compound jet, which mixes pulverized solid particles with the air in the test section, is experimentally analyzed in this study. Two phase flow is jetted 10 degree upward in the primary jet, while the secondary jet utilizes the air only. The height difference between the primary and secondary central axises is 32.5mm. The velocity vector field, concentration field, and turbulent properties of solid particles are measured by using 3-Dimensional Particles Dynamics Analyzer. When the jet angle of the secondary jet goes into effect, the solid particle recirculation zone becomes larger. Also, solid particle concentration becomes more dense due to a velocity decrement of particles.

  • A study of the precipitation process of Al-Li binary alloy at low ageing temperature has been carried by electrical resistivity measurement. Two types of G.P.zones were formed during ageing at low temperature. G.P. (1) zone and G.P. (2) zone have been formed primarily at ageing temperature below $60^{\circ}C$ and at ageing temperature range of $80^{\circ}C$ to $100^{\circ}C$, respectively. Therefore the precipitation process of Al-Li binary alloy was as follows; G.P.(1) zone ${\rightarrow}$ G.P.(2) zone ${\rightarrow}{\delta}^{\prime}{\rightarrow}{\delta}$ G.P. (1) zone might be affected by excess vacancies, but G.P. (2) zone might be affected by secondary defects. clusters and Li-vacancy pairs. The activation energy for formation of G.P. (2) zone is 0.87eV. It is lower than that of Al-Cu alloy.
