다목적 Error Correcting Code의 새로운 설계방법 (A New Approach to Multi-objective Error Correcting Code Design Method)

  • Error correcting codes는 일반적으로 soft error를 막기 위해서 사용된다. single error의 수정과 double error의 검출(SEC-DED) 코드들은 이런 목적으로 사용된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 회로의 크기, 지연시간, 전력 소비를 선택적으로 최소로 하는 SEC-DED의 설계방법을 제안한다. 이러한 SEC-DED의 설계는 비선형 최적화 문제로 포함되는데 우리는 다목적 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하여 이 문제를 해결한다. 제안하는 방법은 여러 가지 SEC-DED code들을 제공하여 사용자의 환경에 따라 알맞은 회로를 선택할 수 있도록 한다. 제안하는 방법을 효율적인 ECC코드로 알려져 있는 odd-column weight Hsiao code에 적용하여 그 효율성을 입증하였다.

Collapse Analysis of Spot Welded Thin Section Members in a Vehicle Body Structure at Various Impact Velocities

  • The spot welded sections of automobiles such as the hat and double hat section members, absorb the most of the energy during the front-end collision. The purpose of this study was to analyze the collapse characteristics of spot welded section members with respect ttl the pitch or spot welds on flanges. through impact experiments and computation for para-closed sections and perfectly closed sections. The hat shaped section members were tested at the impact collapse velocities of 4.72 m/sec, 6.54 m/sec and 7.19 m/sec and double hat shaped section members were tested at the impact collapse velocities of 6.54 m/sec, 7.19 m/sec and 7.27 m/sec. A commercial LS-DYNA3D was used to simulate the collapse behavior of the hat and double hat shaped section members. The validity of the simulation was to be proved by comparing the simulation results and the experimental results.

Tidal and Sub-tidal Current Characteristics in the Kangjin Bay, South Sea, Korea

  • This study analyzed the current meter records along with wind records for over 500 days obtained in the Kangjin Bay, South Sea, Korea spanning from March, 2003 to Nov. 2005. Various analyses include descriptive statistics, harmonic analysis of tidal constituents, spectra and coherence, the principal axis, progressive vector diagrams. These analyses can illustrate the response of residual current to the local wind resulting in the net drift with rotational motion. Current speed ranges from -28 to 33 (cm/sec), with standard deviations from 6.5 to 12.9 (cm/sec). The harmonic analyses of the tidal current show the average form number, 0.12 with semi-diurnal type and the rectilinear orientation of the major axis toward northeast. The magnitudes of the semi-major range from 12.7 to 17.7 (cm/sec) for M2 harmonics, while for S2 harmonics, they range from 6.3 to 10.4 (cm/sec), respectively. In the spectral and coherency analysis of residual current and wind, a periodicity of 13.6 (day) is found to be most important in both records and plays an important role in the net drift of residual current. The progressive vector diagrams of residual current and wind show two types of behaviors such as unidirectional drift and rotational motion. It was also found that 3 % rule holds approximately to drive 1 (cm/sec) drift current by 30 (cm/sec) wind speed based on the correlation of the semi-major axis of wind and residual current.

An Experimental Study on the Axial Impact Collapse Characteristics of Spot Welded Section Members

  • The spot welded sections of automobiles (hat and double hat shaped sections) absorb most of the energy in a front-end collision. The target of this paper is to analyze the energy absorbing capacity of the structure against the front-end collision, and to obtain useful information for designing stage. Changed the spot welded pitches on the flanges, the hat and double hat shaped section members were tested on the axial collapse loads at various impact velocities. It was expected that para-closed sections would show collapse characteristics which be quite different from those of perfectly closed sections. Hat shaped section members were tested at the impact collapse velocities of 4.72m/sec, 6.54m/sec and 7.1m/sec and double hat shaped section members were tested at the impact collapse velocities of 6.54m/sec, 7.1 m/sec and 7.27m/sec.

한국에서 분진 및 금속원소의 건식 침착속도 추정에 관한 연구 (Studies on Estimating Dry Deposition Velocities for Atmospheric Aerosol and Metal Elements in Korea)

  • Dry and wet deposition is an impertant removal mechanism of the amobient aerosol in the atmospheric environment. Since the deposition flut provides adverse impacts on various encironmental media including aquatic and ecological system as well as human health, it is essential to quantitatively estimate the removal fluxes of many air pollutants. Thus, the purposes of this experimental study are to investigate seasonal deposition flux variations of the total dustfall and various inorganic elements in the local ambient air and then to finally estimate their dry deposition velocities. To perform the study, the total of 90 dustfall samples were collected from January, 1994 thru February, 1995 in 5 different cities of Korea including Seoul, Suwon, Daejon, Kwangju, and Kangrung. Each sample was analyzed by an AAS and an ICP to determine the quantities of the 11 inorganic elements, such as Zn, Cd, Cr, K, Na, Pb, Ca, Fe, Mn, Mi, and Cu. As results, deposition fluxes, soluble/insoluble fractions, and deposition velocities for each element were extensively investigated. The resulting dry deposition velocities of some elements in Suwon were estimated by ranges of 0.57 .sim. 0.87 cm/sec for Zn, 0.35 .sim. 0.45 cm/sec for Pb, 1.25 .sim. 3.52 cm/sec for Ca, 0.21 .sim. 0.48 cm/sec for Fe, 0.95 .sim. 9.31 cm/sec for Mn, and 2.08 cm/sec for Cu.

수평흐름에 의한 제방모형내의 비정상침투에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study of Non-Steady State Seepage in the Levee Model by Parallel Water Flow)

  • 수평흐름에 의한 제체내의 비정상침투류를 실험을 통하여 구명한 것으로 흐름의 속도와 수위의 변동에 따른 제체내에서의 침투류영향을 고려하므로써 하천제방의 안정성증대에 목적을 두었다. 실험은 투수계수가 서로 다른 3가지 모델($K_1=3.52{\times}10^{-1}cm/sec$, $K_2=1.94{\times}10^{-1}cm/sec$, $K_3=4.19{\times}10^{-2}cm/sec$)에 대하여, 각기 흐름의 속도를 60, 70, 80, 90 cm/sec로 변화시키고 동시에 수위를 상승 또는 하강시키는 방법으로 제체내에 발생하는 수위변화를 실험을 통하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 제체내의 침투현상은 제체의 투수계수가 크고, 흐름의 속도가 작을수록 유속의 변화에 따른 영향을 많이 받음을 알 수 있으며, 제외지 수위의 상승과 강하에 따른 배면부 및 표면부에서의 수위가 유속의 영향에 따라 변화함을 알 수 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 이중보온관의 발파진동 관리기준 제시를 위하여 이격거리와 매설심도를 변수로하여 수치해석을 수행하였다. 수치해석 적용 발파하중 모델은 현장시험 결과와의 비교를 통하여 검증하였다. 수치해석 결과, 이중보온관은 진동속도 4.0cm/sec 이상에서 발생 유효응력이 내관의 허용응력을 초과하거나 근접하는 것으로 나타났으며, 4.0cm/sec 이하에서 안정성이 확보되는 것으로 평가되었다. 따라서, 이중보온관의 진동관리기준은 4.0cm/sec를 초과하지 않도록 관리하여야 할 것으로 판단된다.

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the flexibility and isokinetic differences between normal dancers and dancers with chronically sprained ankle. For the experiment Eversion/Inversion testing was performed by a Cybex 770 isokinetic dynamometer at the a speeds of 30$^{\circ}$ /sec and 120$^{\circ}$ /sec on each 7 subject group. The results were; 1) No differences were found between the two groups in ROM of ankle, but ROM of eversion has 2.8$^{\circ}$ higher in the injury group than the normal group. 2) Differences were found between the two groups in peak torque. average power, total work at the evertor and invertor in injury side.(30$^{\circ}$ /sec) 3) Differences were found between the two groups in peak torque at the evertor and invertor in normal side.(30$^{\circ}$ /sec) 4) Differences were found between the two groups in total work at the evertor in normal side. (30$^{\circ}$ /sec) 5) Differences were found between the two groups in peak torque, total work at the evertor and invertor in injury side. (120$^{\circ}$ /sec)

냉동저장동안 풋콩의 품질에 영향을 미치는 Blanching 조건 (Effects of Blanching Conditions on the Quality of Immatured Soybeans during Frozen Storage)

  • Blanching conditions for immatured soybeans were optimized by analyzing the effects of various time/temperature blanch treatment on the activities of peroxidase and lipoxygenase, the stability of vitamin C and color, and moisture content in immatured soybeans for the purpose of minimizing quality deterioration during frozen storage. Blanching at 96$^{\circ}C$ for 70 sec led to maximum inactivation of lipoxygenase in the immatured soybeans, while my blanching conditions tested in this study were not enough to inactivate peroxidase. Blanching at 82$^{\circ}C$ for 60 sec resulted in the highest amount of vitamin C remaining in the immatured soybeans after blanching. Hunter -a/b ratios of immatured soybeans blanched at 82$^{\circ}C$ for 60 sec and hue values (ΔE) of the immatured soybeans blanched at 76$^{\circ}C$ for 60 sec showed the closest values to those of fresh products. The changes in moisture content of immatures soybeans was not so significant after blanching. In conclusion, it was suggested that immatured soybeans be blanched at 96$^{\circ}C$ for 70 sec to minimize lipoxygenase activity and resulting quality deterioration, while blanching at 82$^{\circ}C$ for 60 sec was recommended to stabilize vitamin C and color.

도플러 초음파를 이용한 개에서 마취에 따른 간문맥 혈류량 변화의 측정 (Estimation of portal blood flow using pulsed doppler ultrasound in the anesthetized dog)

  • Portal bood flow was measured with pulsed Doppler ultrasound in twenty anesthetized dogs. In anesthetized dogs with xylazine HCl, the average of portal blood flow velocity was reduced($11.68{\pm}1.55cm/sec$ vs. normal $16.67{\pm}1.77cm/sec$). Average portal blood flow was also decreased compared to normal($28.36{\pm}11.61ml/min/kg$ vs. normal $43.12{\pm}14.46 ml/min/kg$). And congestion index was increased($0.0368{\pm}0.0117cm{\cdot}sec$) vs. normal $0.0297{\pm}0.0062cm{\cdot}sec$). In anesthetized dogs with ketamine HCl, portal blood flow velocity was slightly increased ($22.62{\pm}2.53cm/sec$ vs. normal $16.67{\pm}1.77cm/sec$. Also mean portal blood flow was slightly increased($43.12{\pm}14.46ml/min/kg$ vs. normal $55.32{\pm}19.99ml/min/kg$). In anesthetized dogs with tiletamine and zolazepam, portal blood flow velocity and portal blood flow were unchanged.
