자동차 운전석의 주관적 안락감평가와 체압분포간의 관계에 관한 연구 (An investigation of the relationship between subjective comfort evaluation and body pressure distribution of vehicle seats)

  • The pressure distribution between human body and seat surface has been considered as an important factor affecting seating comfort. However, it is rare to find general guidelines of how to analyze these pressure patterms related to the seating comfort. In order to investigate the relationship between the pressure patterns and the subjective feeling of seating comfort, a high-resolution body pressure measurement system was adopted. The measured patterns showed that the clear distinctions between the comfortable seats. It was also possible to estimate the seating comfort based upon the analysis of the pressure patterns. The further research will be focused on finding out the relationship between physical seat design parameters and the seating discomfort.

아기 띠의 힙시트와 허리지지 유무에 따른 근피로도와 주관적 피로도 평가 (Evaluation of Muscle Fatigue and Subjective Fatigue depending on the Hip Seat and Waist Support Band of Baby Carrier)

  • Discomfort as well as muscular pain and musculoskeletal diseases occur in cases of stressed posture due to prolonged pressure. Therefore, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA) recommend that bags that weigh no more than 15 - 20% of the wearer's weight. However, despite the prolonged pressure from using baby carriers, there are no recommendations and limited studies on how to protect wearers. Therefore, this study investigates subjective fatigue according to the usage of waist support and hip seat. Based on this, muscle fatigue and secondary subjective fatigue according to three types of currently commercial baby carriers (X-type, H-type, and H-hip type) were measured. Subjective comfortability was evaluated on a 5 point Likert-scale and subjective fatigue was evaluated on Borg's CR-10 scale. Objective muscle fatigue was also compared by measuring and analyzing electromyogram (EMG). The results of primary subjective fatigue showed statistically significant changes in the shoulders, waist, calves, and soles of the feet according to the usage of hip seats and waist support. Electromyogram measurements also showed less muscle fatigue at the upper trapezius muscle and thoracic erector spine muscle for the H-hip seat baby carrier, which has both waist support and hip seat, compared to an X-type baby carrier, which has neither. However, results of subjective fatigue showed opposite results at the waist despite having same results at the shoulders and beneath the shoulders. This show discrepancies between objective muscle fatigue and subjective fatigue; therefore, that both aspects must be taken into consideration when developing ergonomic baby carriers.

  • In oder to generate various shock signals in a field study, a passenger car was driven at several speeds over road profiles that included a number of half sine shaped bumps of various heights. A triaxial SAE pad sensor was mounted on the front passenger seat to measure the acceleration signals which might produce subjective discomfort. The measured accelerations were correlated with the subjective assessments of 14 subjects. The magnitude of subjective discomfort was found to be proportional to the VDV and also the peak to peak of the frequency weighted acceleration signal.

  • 국내의 의자 개발은 선진외국의 인체치수 및 설계기준에 의한 디자인으로 인해 많은 사용자가 작업 수행도는 물론, 허리, 목, 어깨 통증에 대한 호소가 늘고 있는 실정이다. 다양한 체격의 사용자가 무리없는 자세로 사무작업을 수행하기 위해선 사무용의자의 각종치수에 대한 인간공학적 설계기준이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 한국인 성인 인체측정자료를 바탕으로 선 연구의 설계지침을 이용하여 설계권장치수를 제시하였다. 이에 대한 타당성 검증을 위해 피실험자들을 측정하여, 선호치수를 구하였고, 그것과 설계지침에 따른 차이를 분석하였다. 그리고 일반적으로 많이 사용하는 사무용의자들과 자신의 신체에 맞게 조절가능한 의자를 사용하여, 안락감과 신체불편도를 평가하였으며, 각 설계치수가 인체에 미치는 영향을 비교 분석하였다. 좌면의 높이가 높으면 허벅지에 영향을 미치고, 등받침대 폭, 높이, 각도는 어깨, 목, 허리에 피로를 가져다준다.본 연구실험결과 한국인을위한 사무용의자의 좌면 높이 권장치수는 고정식일때 425mm, 조절식일때 365-484mm를 추천한다. 그 외 설계권장치수는 논문에 제시하였으며, 이와 같은 인간공학적 설계권장치수는 결론적으로 사용자의 신체에 맞게 조절범위를 제공하므로 설계분야에 중요한 기초자료가 되리라 본다.

페달 종류 및 위치에 따른 최적 페달 레이아웃 설정 (Optimal Layout of Vehicle Pedals Depending on the Types and Positions of Vehicle Pedals)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose an optimal layout for the accelerator and brake pedals in sedan and SUV, and also to compare the pendant-type pedal with organ-type pedal. 12 male subjects participated in the experiment, the subjects were divided into 3 groups according to height percentile(under 50%ile, 50%ile to 75%ile, over 75%ile). Independent variables were seat height (H30), X and Y coordinates of the center of accelerator and brake pedals and the x and y relative distance between two pedals. Dependent variable was subjective ratings for lower body discomfort. The response surface methodology using a central composite design was employed to develop a prediction model for lower body discomfort of each pedal. It is noticeable that the lateral position of the accelerator in all groups was not statistically significant. The optimal locations of both pedals were found to be distinct according to the percentile of subjects. X distance from accelerator to brake of both-type pedals is similar. But Y distance from accelerator to brake of organ-type is less about 2-3cm than that of pedant-type.

Bio-mechanical Analysis of the Grapevine Cluster Thinning Task using Working Chair

  • Objective: This study examined the effects of working chair that was developed for farmers who work in grapevine's cluster thinning. Background: Agricultural work involves some of the nation's highest occupational risk exposures. Fruit cultivation has been recognized as one of the most hazardous crops in which to work. Grapevine cluster thinning task involve activities related to the main risk factors associated with upper limb work-related musculoskeletal disorders. Method: An experiment was designed to test the working chair. Six healthy male($25.8{\pm}4.9years$) were selected as the subjects for this study. Electromyography(EMG) was used to monitor the muscles activity, and Electro-goniometer was used to measure the ranges of motions of the elbow, trunk and knee. Subjective test was also carried out to examine discomfort body parts and their pain intensity. A grapevine's working space was built for the experiment and working chair was installed on it. In order to examine the muscle activity and range of motion, subjects used to the working chair for 30 minutes for each experimental condition. Another test without working chair was also performed for comparison. %MVC was used to quantify the level of muscle activity. Results: Decreases of muscle activity was found in all leg muscles and significant decrease of muscle activity was found in left Gastrocnemius. The range of motion of the trunk and knee also decreased when working chair used. Discomfort in lower back, thigh and shank region were reduced significantly. However, in upper limbs muscle activity tended to increase in working chair compared with conventional task. Conclusion: Improvement for cushion in seat back and pan required to reduce discomfort in buttocks. Application: Overall findings verified that the working chair might help to prevent upper limb and lower back MSDs based on the current study. These results can be practically used for work improvement for the grapevine growers to prevent MSDs.

운전자세에 적합한 기능적 슬랙스 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Major Considerations in Slacks Design for an Automobile Driver)

  • The objective of this study is to ascertain the major considerations when designing slacks for automobile drivers reflecting the elasticity of the human body posture. The scope of this study aims to find out the causes of discomfort in driving positions based on the results of a questionnaire survey and body measurements fur slacks, as well testing four types of experimental slacks for comfort and fitness when sitting on a driver's seat and in the standing position. Based on the results, a slacks design for drivers with improved comfort and fitness is suggested.

  • Vibrations on the floor in a car are transmitted to the foot, hip, and back from the seat. Human body recognizes these vibrations, but the sensitivity for each vibration is different. To evaluate these vibrations, RMS(root mean square) of accelerations, VDV(vibration does value) are commonly used. The ride comfort evaluation is usually carried out by experiments of real cars which are expensive. The purpose of this paper is to briefly review the status of several ride vibration standards and criteria having relevance to construction machinery vehicles and to suggest recommendations for the effective use of such criteria in vehicle / component development.

  • The purpose of this study is was to analyze customer experience attribute of professional baseball. To achieve objectives of this study, a method was used the in-depth interview and experts' consultation which understanding the attributes and structure of customer experience attribute of professional baseball. As a result, the professional baseball customer experience attributes are 'viewing plan & purchase', 'stadium movement', 'entrance stadium', 'move to seat', 'game viewing', 'amenities/services', 'events/cheering', 'move after match'. The review of the experience section and attributes derived through in-depth interviews with professional baseball fans was verified through an expert' consultation to secure content validity. Through this process, 8 experience section and 41 attributes were analyzed. The customer experience journey was analyzed for a more in-depth analysis of the viewing experience of professional baseball fans. The customer experience journey was presented based on the needs of fans and discomfort in each experience section activity.

  • 자동차 고급화 추세에 따라 소비자의 차량 실내 환경에 대한 관심이 증가함에 따라 자동차의 기본적 성능뿐만아니라 실내 쾌적성 향상에 관심이 증대되고 있다. 또한 자동차 실내 쾌적성에 대한 연구는 운전자에게 만족을 제공하는데 그치지 않고, 운전자의 불쾌지수 및 스트레스를 낮추어서 교통사고의 위험을 줄이는데 기여할 수 있기 때문에 매우 중요한 연구 주제이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 운전자의 뇌파측정을 통해 통풍시트의 온도변화에 따른 쾌적감 변화와 쾌적온도를 알아보고, 온도변화에 따른 남녀간 쾌적감에 대한 차이를 탐색하고자 하였다. 연구결과 첫째 통풍시 트의 온도가 22℃, 25℃, 28℃에서 각각의 실험군을 비교한 결과 28℃보다 25℃에서 통계적으로 유의하게 쾌적감이 더 높게 나타났다. 둘째 통풍시트 온도 변화에 따른 남녀간 쾌적감에 대한 실험결과 남성과 여성이 온도에 따라 느끼는 쾌적감은 통계적으로 유의한 차가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 향후 자동차의 실내온도와 통풍시트의 온도 변화에 따른 운전자의 쾌적감 변화를 파악하여 상관관계를 분석한다면, 운전자의 쾌적성을 확보하여 휴먼에러로 인한 교통사고를 낮출수 있을 뿐만 아니라 자동차의 전기에너지의 사용량을 줄일 수 있을 것이다.
