A Novel Video Stitching Method for Multi-Camera Surveillance Systems

  • This paper proposes a novel video stitching method that improves real-time performance and visual quality of a multi-camera video surveillance system. A two-stage seam searching algorithm based on enhanced dynamic programming is proposed. It can obtain satisfactory result and achieve better real-time performance than traditional seam-searching methods. The experiments show that the computing time is reduced by 66.4% using the proposed algorithm compared with enhanced dynamic programming, while the seam-searching accuracy is maintained. A real-time local update scheme reduces the deformation effect caused by moving objects passing through the seam, and a seam-based local color transfer model is constructed and applied to achieve smooth transition in the overlapped area, and overcome the traditional pixel blending methods. The effectiveness of the proposed method is proved in the experiements.

  • The Distribution System consist of many tie-line switches and sectionalizing switches, operated a radial type. When an outage occurs in Distribution System, outage areas are isolated by system switches, has to restored as soon as possible. At this time, system operator have to get a information about network topology for service restoration of outage areas. Therefore, the searching result of restorative topology has to fast computation time and reliable result topology for to restore a electric service to outage areas, equal to optimal switching operation problem. So, the problem can be defined as combinatorial optimization problem. The service restoration problem is so important problem which have outage area minimization, outage loss minimization. Many researcher is applying to the service restoration problem with various techniques. In this paper, advanced Dijkstra algorithm is applied to searching a restoration topology, is so efficient to searching a shortest path in graph type network. Additionally, fuzzy rules and operator are applied to overcome a fuzziness of correlation with input data. The present technique has superior results which are fast computation time and searching results than previous researches, demonstrated by example distribution model system which has 3 feeders, 26 buses. For a application capability to real distribution system, additionally demonstrated by real distribution system of KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation) which has 8 feeders and 140 buses.

적합탐색 관찰을 이용한 층화 공간표본설계에서의 추정 (Adaptive Searching Estimation in Stratified Spatial Sample design)

  • 관찰 단위들간 특정한 공간 종속관계를 지닌 공간모집단에서 사각형의 칸들로 분할한 후 각 칸마다 하나의 표본점을 임의추출하여 관심 변수의 모수를 추정할 때 탐색 관찰조건을 만족하는 인접한 표본단위만을 추가 관찰하여 모수를 추정하는 적합탐색 추정 방법을 층화 공간표본설계에 적용시켜 보았다. 모의자료를 설정한 가상의 2차원 공간모집단을 층화 공간표본설계에 의해 층화시킨 후 적합 탐색 추정방법을 적용시켜 본 결과, 단순히 공간모집단을 분할하는 전통적인 공간표본설계보다 적은 수의 표본이 관찰되었으며, 효율성이 크게 감소하지 않는 결과를 얻음으로써 층화효과와 적합탐색 관찰효과가 동시에 존재하는 적절한 추정 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

의료소비자들의 인구사회학적 특성에 따른 정보탐색 행태분석 (Information Searching Behavior of Health Care Consumers by Sociodemographic Characteristics)

  • Objectives : To investigate the information searching behavior of health care consumers according to sociodemographic characteristics. Methods : A questionnaire survey was conducted of 1,507 persons who were selected through a multi-stage stratified area cluster sampling of the Republic of Korea, excluding the province of Jeiu-do. Personal were conducted through a door-to-door survey between 27 July and 10 August 1999. Results : 80.5% of respondents used more than one source of information and those $40\sim59$ years of age, female, a housewife or student and those who claimed a religion demonstrated more active information searching behavior. A personal informer was used significantly more in those $20\sim39$ years old, female, and those who claimed a religion. Clerical workers, those with post-secondary education and a monthly income greater than 2,000,000 won ($1500) were more actively used a public informer. Low socioeconomic status and older persons used an experimental informer when they chose a health care institution. Conclusion : Regardless of the sociodemographic characteristics, personal and experimental informers were the most useful source of information. Because appropriate information was not easy to obtain, the health care consumer was dependent upon word-of-mouth communication(personal informer) when using health care services.

의료소비자들의 의료기관 종별 정보탐색 행태에 관한 연구 (Information Searching Behavior of Health Care Consumers by Types of Medical Institutions)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the information searching behavior of consumer by type of medical institution. A questionnaire survey was conducted of 1,507 persons who were selected through a multi-stage stratified area cluster sampling in nationwide level, excluding Jeju-Do. Personal survey was conducted through door-to door survey from 27 July to 10 August 1999. The main results of this research was as following; 1. The proportion of information searching of respondents ranged from 91.5-95.2%. Even though the proportion of user in university hospital was slightly high, there was not significant statistically by type of medical institution. In terms of information source, personal informer was most common information source in all type of medical institution. Public informers were more frequently used in university hospital visitors and professional informer in general and university hospital visitors. 2. Comparing to searching intensity, user informer and professional informer's influences were more powerful, but not statistically significant. In analysis of unit influence for information source, written informer or public informer was more powerful in clinic visitor, professional informer and written informer in university hospital visitor. 3. Information which consumer want to know mostly were about on special potential and career of physician. The clinic visitor wanted to know about institutional location and kindness of medical personnel. The university hospital visitor also wanted to know about facilities and convenience of process. Comparing to institution selection criteria of consumers at 1991, quality related criteria were recognized more importantly in outpatient and dental services. But in case of inpatient services, convenience factor was recognized more importantly. In conclusion, the effort for specific marketing plan by type of medical institution should be needed. And more concern on information searching behavior of consumer will be needed.

동적 확률지도를 이용한 지상 이동표적 탐색 (Search for Ground Moving Targets Using Dynamic Probability Maps)

  • In order to achieve success in ground operations, searching for moving targets is one of critical factors. Usually, the system of searching for adversary ground moving targets has complex properties which includes target's moving characteristics, camouflage level, terrain, weather, available search time window, distance between target and searcher, moving speed, target's tactics, etc. The purpose of this paper is to present a practical quantitative method for effectively searching for infiltrated moving targets considering aforementioned complex properties. Based upon search theories, this paper consists of two parts. One is infiltration route analysis, through terrain and mobility analysis. The other is building dynamic probability maps through Monte Carlo simulation to determine the prioritized searching area for moving targets. This study primarily considers ground moving targets' moving pattern. These move by foot and because terrain has a great effect on the target's movement, they generally travel along a constrained path. With the ideas based on the terrain's effect, this study deliberately performed terrain and mobility analysis and built a constrained path. In addition, dynamic probability maps taking terrain condition and a target's moving speed into consideration is proposed. This analysis is considerably distinct from other existing studies using supposed transition probability for searching moving targets. A case study is performed to validate the effectiveness and usefulness of our methodology. Also, this study suggests that the proposed approach can be used for searching for infiltrated ground moving target within critical time window. The proposed method could be used not only to assist a searcher's mission planning, but also to support the tactical commander's timely decision making ability and ensure the operations' success.

인터넷쇼핑동기가 정보탐색의도, 만족도 및 구매의도에 미치는 영향: 중국 북경소비자를 중심으로 (The Effects of Internet Shopping Motivation on Information Searching Intention, Customer Satisfaction and Purchase Intention: focusing on Consumers in Beijing)

  • 최근 인터넷의 급속한 확산으로 인하여 인터넷 쇼핑은 새로운 문화형식으로 우리 생활 속에 필수적 요소로 자리를 잡고 있다. 중국 인터넷 시장은 전체적인 규모나 성장에서 급속히 발전하고 있는 매우 매력적인 시장이기 때문에 많은 세계 기업들이 활발하게 진출하고 있다. 본 연구는 인터넷으로 쇼핑의 경험이 있는 중국소비자를 대상으로 인터넷 쇼핑환경에서 소비자의 쇼핑동기가 어떤 요인으로 구성되고, 이러한 쇼핑동기의 각 구성요소들이 정보탐색의도, 만족도 및 구매의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 확인하고자 하였다. 본 연구결과와 그 시사점을 요약해보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중국 소비자의 인터넷 쇼핑동기는 "편의성추구", "저가격추구", "다양성추구" 및 "쾌락성추구" 4가지 차원으로 구성되었다. 둘째, 인터넷 쇼핑동기의 각 구성차원은 정보탐색의도간의 관계에서 "편의성추구", "다양성추구"와 "쾌락성추구"는 각각 정보탐색의도에 직접적이고 유의한 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. "저가격추구"는 정보탐색의도에 직접적이고 유의한 긍정적인 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 정보탐색의도에 관한 기존 연구문헌을 고찰하고, 정보탐색의도는 만족도에 직접적이고 유의한 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 뿐만 아니라 구매의도에도 직접적이고 유의한 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 만족도는 구매의도에 직접적이고 유의한 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 연구에서는 지형공간정보체계의 자료기반의 구축, 수치도면 제작 등 이용도가 확대되고 있는 수치표고모형을 수치위성영상자료를 이용하여 제작하고자 하였다. 위성영상의 공액 상좌표 취득에는 영상정합기법을 도입하였으며 취득된 지상좌표의 정확도를 분석하여 수치표고모형 제작의 연산법을 제시하였다. 위성영상의 외부표정요소는 광속조정법을 이용하여 결정하였고 좌우 수치영상상에서 동일점을 탐색하기 위한 영상정합방법으로는 표준상관기법을 적용하였다. 영상정합기법을 적용에 있어서는 기준영역의 크기를 결정하기 위해 기준영역의 크기를 다양하게 변화시켜 적절한 크기를 결정하고자 하였다. 영상정합의 정확도를 향상시키고 계산속도를 증가시키기 위하여 다양한 좌표변환식을 적용하고 이 결과를 통계학적으로 분석한 후 안전율을 고려하여 탐색영역을 결정하였다. 본 연구에서 제작된 수치표고모형의 정확도는 5000분의 1 지형도상에서 일정한 간격으로 추출하여 제작된 수치표고모형을 이용하였으며, 정확도를 평가한 결과 수치위성영상을 이용한 수치표고모형을 생성하는 연산법을 제시할 수 있었으며, 지형공간정보체계의 자료기반 구축에 필요한 대단위 지역에 대한 수치표고모형의 생성에 수치위성영상을 적용하는 효율적인 방법을 제시할 수 있었다.

  • A GA is one of the best method to find optimal value in searching area. A GA is driven by probabilistic selection that based on the survival of the fittest. So this algorithm need a huge solving time even if it can be used lots of optimizing problem such as structural design, machine learning, system's identification and so on. This GA's characteristic constrain the program to drive offline. Some studies try to use this algorithm on online or reduce the GA's running time with parallel GA or micro GA. Unfortunately these studies still didn't reduce amount of fitness solving. If the chromosome was imported to the system, it affected system's stability. And when the control system uses online GA, it also doesn't have enough learning time. In this study, try to find stability criterion to reduce the chromosome's affection and find the characteristic of the number of population and generation when GA was driven into the wide searching area.

A* 알고리즘의 최단경로 탐색 정확도 향상을 위한 역방향 적용방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on A* Algorithm Applying Reversed Direction Method for High Accuracy of the Shortest Path Searching)

  • Dijkstar 알고리즘에 기초하는 최단경로 탐색 알고리즘의 탐색속도 향상에 관한 많은 연구들이 지속되어 왔다. 그 대표적인 알고리즘이 $A^*$ 알고리즘이다. 빠른 탐색속도는 $A^*$ 알고리즘의 장점이지만, 복잡하고 불규칙한 가로 네트워크에서 실제의 최단경로 탐색이 실패할 확률이 높다. 탐색실패란 목적노드를 탐색하지 못한 경우와 최단경로가 아닌 경로를 구축하는 것을 의미한다. 본 연구는 $A^*$ 알고리즘의 최단경로 탐색 성공확률을 높이기 위한 방법으로 일차적으로 출발노드와 목적노드 간 연결 관계를 정리하고, 목적노드에서 출발노드까지 정리된 경로에 따라 $A^*$ 알고리즘을 역으로 적용한 것이다. 이 방법은 네트워크 및 경로 부하량 특성에 따라 실제의 최단경로가 아닌 경로를 최단경로로 구축하는 경우가 발생할 수는 있으나, 경로구축의 완전한 실패는 발생시키지 않는다. 이 방법을 실제 복잡한 네트워크에 적용하여 유효성을 검증한 결과, 통상적인 $A^*$ 알고리즘의 적용보다 탐색 소요시간은 약간 증가하나, 정확성은 상당히 높아지는 것으로 분석되었다.
