  • This paper proposes optimization techniques for SeaSign, an isogeny-based digital signature algorithm. SeaSign combines class group actions of CSIDH with the Fiat-Shamir with abort. While CSIDH-based algorithms have regained attention due to polynomial time attacks for SIDH-based algorithms, SeaSiogn has not undergone significat optimization because of its inefficiency. In this paper, an efficient signing method for SeaSign is proposed. The proposed signing method is simple yet powerful, achived by repositioning the rejection sampling within the algorithm. Additionally, this paper presnts parameters that can provide optimal performance for the proposed algorithm. As a result, by using the original parameters of SeaSign, the proposed method is three times faster than the original SeaSign. Additonally, combining the newly suggested parameters with the signing method proposed in this paper yields a performance that is 290 times faster than the original SeaSign and 7.47 times faster than the method proposed by Decru et al.

  • The current method for pavement sign marking operations is labor-intensive and very dangerous due to the exposure of workers to passing traffic. It also requires blocking traffic for a long period of time resulting serious traffic jam. This paper deals with the development of a robotic system for automating the pavement sign painting operations. The robotic system consists of gantry frame equipped with transverse drive rail and automatic paint spray system. The workspace of the gantry robot is extended to one-lane width with the transverse rail system. This research also includes the development of font data structures that contain the shape information of pavement signs, such as Korean letters, English letters and symbols. The robot path is generated with this font data through the procedures of scaling up/down and partitioning the signs to be painted depending on the workspace size.

  • To reduce tsunami hazards, it is necessary to develope the methods which can simulate tsunami wave signals of coastal areas. In the present paper, it is attempted t use Sign Method for analyzing and simulating recorded tsunami signals. A tsunami record Y(t) can be represented as the convolution integral of a source evolution function E(t') and a wave propagation function K(t-t') Y(t)=.int. E(t')K(t-t')dt' A source function contains the peculiarities of a tsunami generator. A wave function is a kind of transfer function which contains the characteristics of a wave propagation path. The source functions and the wave function and the wave functions of 9 Korean coast points and 6 Japan coast points are estimated, and the tsunami wave signals are simulated by the convolution integrals of the source functions and the wave functions. According to the results of analysis, the Sign Method is an effective method for simulating tsunami wave signals of Korean coast points which are located far from tsunami source areas. Furthermore, if the source function of a neighboring point ad the wave function of an another tsunami are given, unrecorded tsunami wave also can be estimated.

  • This article reviews some problems arises from signing by the master bills of lading issued on time chartered ship. The underlying purpose of time charters is generally for the charterers to have the services of the vessel in order to engage in the business of carriage of goods by sea, a business which is likely to involve the issue of bills of lading to shippers. Charterer under the charter have a right to issue B/L, thereby the master must sign bill of lading as presented, but may not vary the contract. Bills of lading signed by, or on behalf of the master, impose contractual liabilities upon the shipowner. Charterer have no right to ask the master to sign a bill of lading in any way deviating from the charterparty. If the shipowner suffers loss as a result of the master obeying any order about employment or agency, he will be entitled to an indemnity from the charterer. The master may refuse to sign bills of lading which contain some discrepancy such as a false statement and manifestly inconsistent with the requirements of the charterparty.

  • This paper represents the results of interpretation on the cause of sign changing of the striation slopes appearing in the range-frequency domain spectrogram of ship-radiated noise measured in a shallow sea. Striation patterns and dispersion characteristics simulated from a numerical model based on mode theory at various seabed conditions show that the sign changing of the striation slopes appearing in measured signal is caused by the shear property of seabed. more specifically by the shear property of the basement lying below the sediment which is estimated about 3±1m thick.

  • Triploids have several potential advantages over diploids in aquaculture, drawing an elevated commercial reaction into the realistic application of the techniques despite we are still in the early stage of triploid industry for the Pacific oysters Crassostrea gigas. We traced the growth performance of the triploid C. gigas for over a year from hatchery spats, which was created by manipulations of chemicals (Cytochalasin B, CB or 6-Dimethylaminopurine, 6-DMAP). The growth was clearly marked by an initial longer dormancy and following a great magnitude of heterogeneity. The dormancy was almost 9 to 10-month long or even longer and was considered as a downside of the creation. The heterogeneity was magnified by appearance of extraordinarily growing oysters in part during summer season, which could be a representative upside of the triploids. Overall, however, the results were not as positive as were expected. The longer dormancy and following heterogeneity observed in our practice could be marked as an additional negative sign of the chemical use. The present study, thus, might be highly indicative in the introduction of biological cross between tetraploid and diploid to produce natural triploid embryos.

  • The high tech marine transportation infrastructure is an innovative that may be able to secure a safe transportation environment. The current sea route sign system based on an electronic marine chart only has a data manufacture specification for uses at ECDIS. Therefore, it has a limitation in expressing various sea route data and falls short of productivity as it is frozen to prevent being changed for a long time. Also, it cannot satisfy requirements from high tech such as lattice structure data and time series information. Currently, although it builds each independent operation system based S-57, it has been found that it is the most important requirement from consumers that the entire monitoring system can mutually interwork by standardizing and uniting formats of all protocols. In addition, current status information and alarm system is using AIS, TRS, WCDMA telecommunication and processing all the data after saving it into each different server. In this thesis, we will realize the status information and alarm system of Marine transportation facilities which is a sea route sign system based on S-63 electronic marine chart, S/W, after uniting each different protocol and making combined system.

  • Shrimps infected with WSSV(White Spot Syndrome Virus) generally exhibit white spots in their inner space of carapaces as an acute clinical sign. In an effort to identify the correlation between this acute clinical sign and the condition, the index factors (RNA/DNA concentration and ratio, trypsin activity) were analyzed. A total 580 farmed Fenneropenaeus chinensis and 130 Lithopenaeus vannamei were collected from western and southern fifteen outdoor ponds in Korea. The status of the white spot pathology was divided into four stages (stage 0, stage I, stage II, and stage III), in accordance with the clinical signs as to the size and area of white spots. A significant decrease in RNA concentration and RNA/DNA ratio for multi-infected fleshy prawn (WSSV and vibrio sp.) occurred during the stage III (the whole carapace is covered with a white spot). In particular, RNA/DNA ratio was significantly lower as $1.47{\pm}0.04$ than other groups. A similar trend was also found in the single infection (WSSV), but the decrease was less than the multi-infection. In the species comparison, both species were vulnerable to the multi-infection, but L. vannamei was more sensitive than F. chinensis(ANOVA, p<0.05): A significant decrease in RNA concentration and RNA/DNA ratio was first found in stage II for the former species, while it was found in stage III for the latter species. Trypsin activity was also showed a similar tendency with nucleic acid variation. Multi-infected shrimp showed drastically decrease of trypsin activity. According to the results, clinical signs of the white spot under carapace have an only physiological effect on shrimp if they covered entirely with white spots.

  • The sea surface winds are computed over the adjacent seas of Korea from the twice-dayily weather maps for the ten-year period 1978-1987 by using the Cardone model. Monthly mean wind-stress and wind0stress curl are also calculated and given as maps. the computed surface winds are compared with observed one at the JMA (Japan Meteorological Agency) Buoy. and the results show a good consistency in speed and direction. In particular, the magnitude of mean wind-stress is turned out to be twice bigger than the previous results over the sea of Japan. Monthly distributions of wind-stress curl reveal that over the yellow sea by the longitudinal boundary of $120^{\circ}{\;}~{\;}125^{\circ}{\;}E$, the area of negative cur exists over the western part of the sea except summer season, while the positive sign of the curl prevails over the eastern part of the Yellow Sea. However, over the Sea of Japan, with two positive maxima at the northern part and near the Wonsan Bay, the positive curl in the northern half and the negative curl in the southern of the sea characterize the monthly mean distribution of the wind-stress curl.

  • Farmed red sea breams, Pagrus major, were fed for 60 days with pellets containing different concentrations of benzo(a)pyrene (0, 0.2, 2, 20 mg/kg) to generate a biomarker of the chemical toxicity in the fish. The fish exposed to the chemical concentrations did not show any significant difference in the weight gain, conditioning, factor, and hepatosomatic index. However, some haematological parameters, such as glucose, calcium, magnesium, GOT (glutamic oxalate transaminase), and GPT (glutamic pyruvate transaminase) were influenced by the chemical exposure. Of them, two enzymes, GOT and GPT, increased significantly 60 days after the exposure in a way of concentration dependence (P<0.05). In the study of ecotoxicological biomarker, sensitivity to adverse environments is one of the key available factors. The fish changes in GOT and GPT were an earlier and reliable sign of the fish response against the chemical exposure, rendering the two enzymatic factors as a useful biomarker at least to benzo(a)pyrene exposure in the farming waters.
