Application of XML to Develop GUI within Satellite Imageries Search System (위성 영상 검색시스템의 GUI 개발을 위한 XML 적용)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an XML based GUI that can search for satellite image information which is converted to XML data format and stored in the database server on the web, and modify and reuse data. In order to implement these functions efficiently, we used a DOM interface of XML that increases the efficiency of accessing the document structure. We used HTML and Java script programming to facilitate this interface. The system was applied to the management system of satellite images in the Research Institute of SFC at Keio University. Our results confirmed the technical functionalities.

  • Recently, Linux operating system is used for web server environment, but to build web server applications need to be operated many related softwares, such as installing web server, web and database system integration and programming for script language. Most of schools in korea do not have computer specialist for building web server or cyber school. In this paper, we describe design and implementation of an automated building system(AnyBuilder) for cyber school. AnyBuilder build web-based cyber school system, just clicking a few of button and some commands. Especially, it has two phases to build cyber school, one is to generate empty web-based cyber school and the other is to upload contents of lecture.

  • We discuss development of a simulator for automated manufacturing systems (AMSs) which have sophisticated automated material handling equipments and complicated work flows. The simulator is designed to satisfy the following requirements. A user should be able to easily configure or specify an AMS through a graphical user interface (GUI) and minimal data input. The user should be able to model diverse and complied control logic for automated material handling systems like automated guided vehicle (AGV) systems, robot workcell systems and conveyor systems as well as complicated job flow program. Real time animation is desired. Finally, the simulator should be easily maintained and extended. To satisfy the requirements, we use an object-oriented paradigm for modeling, designing, and programming of the simulator. We use an object-oriented modeling framework to design the modeling elements library, and take the process interaction approach for scheduling processes and events. To model a user-defined diverse control logic, we also develop a script language and its interpreter. We explain design and implementation strategies. We implement the simulator using Visual C++ 4.2 and Open GL on Windows NT and the Windows95. Some modeling examples will be demonstrated.

  • There are two methods to express natural phenomena using image processing techniques. One is the presentation of simulations for natural phenomena and the other is the display of images based on script. A lot of people used to get the display using vast data and complicated math formulas. When we get the output images in this way, we will have some problems in time and cost. In this paper, we use fluid images excluding using the complicated math formulas, programming, and taking pictures to present the natural phenomena. We construct the library to express the natural phenomena effectively using 2D images and simulation of fog for the background of oriental painting in 3D space.

  • The global impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on education has resulted in the near-complete closure of schools, early childhood education and care (ECEC) facilities, universities, and colleges. To help the educational system with social distancing during this pandemic, in this paper the creation of a simple 3D virtual tour will be of a great contribution. This web cyber tour will be program with JavaScript programming language. The development of this web cyber tour is to help the students and staffs to have access to the university infrastructure at a faraway distance during this difficult moment of the pandemic. The drone and matterport are the two devices used in the realization of this website tour. As a result, Users will be able to view a 3D model of the university building (drone) as well as a real-time tour of its inside (matterport) before uploading the model for real-time display by the help of this website tour. Since the users can enjoy the 3D model of the university infrastructure with all angles at a far distance through the website, it will solve the problem of Covid-19 infection in the university. It will also provide students who cannot be present on-site, with detailed information about the campus.

Comparative analysis of deep learning performance for Python and C# using Keras (Keras를 이용한 Python과 C#의 딥러닝 성능 비교 분석)

  • According to the 2018 Kaggle ML & DS Survey, among the proportions of frameworks for machine learning and data science, TensorFlow and Keras each account for 41.82%. It was found to be 34.09%, and in the case of development programming, it is confirmed that about 82% use Python. A significant number of machine learning and deep learning structures utilize the Keras framework and Python, but in the case of Python, distribution and execution are limited to the Python script environment due to the script language, so it is judged that it is difficult to operate in various environments. This paper implemented a machine learning and deep learning system using C# and Keras running in Visual Studio 2019. Using the Mnist dataset, 100 tests were performed in Python 3.8,2 and C# .NET 5.0 environments, and the minimum time for Python was 1.86 seconds, the maximum time was 2.38 seconds, and the average time was 1.98 seconds. Time 1.78 seconds, maximum time 2.11 seconds, average time 1.85 seconds, total time 37.02 seconds. As a result of the experiment, the performance of C# improved by about 6% compared to Python, and it is expected that the utilization will be high because executable files can be extracted.

  • There has been many studies to explore what is the best multimedia tools for English learning by internet, but the students are still thirsty for the lack of practical and effective learning method which may lead them to stimulate their motivations to learn English with technological new media. The purpose of this study is to design Flash Animation as a new approach to learn language acquisition for those students who are learning English as a second language. This second is to show the validity for the introduction of Flash Animation into the English class. The third is to describe the effectiveness of the application of multimedia tools used in English communication such as java script programming and power point presentation.

A Network-Distributed Design Optimization Approach for Aerodynamic Design of a 3-D Wing (3차원 날개 공력설계를 위한 네트워크 분산 설계최적화)

  • An aerodynamic design optimization system for three-dimensional wing was developed as a part of the future MDO framework. The present design optimization system includes four modules such as geometry design, grid generation, flow solver and optimizer. All modules were based on commercial softwares and programmed to have automated execution capability in batch mode utilizing built-in script and journaling. The integration of all modules into the system was accomplished through programming using Visual Basic language. The distributed computational environment based on network communication was established to save computational time especially for time-consuming aerodynamic analyses. The distributed aerodynamic computations were performed in conjunction with the global optimization algorithm of response surface method, instead of using usual parallel computation based on domain decomposition. The application of the design system in the drag minimization problem demonstrated considerably enhanced efficiency of the design process while the final design showed reasonable results of reduced drag.

A Study on Automatic Generation Method of Proxy Client Code to Quality Information Collection (품질 정보 수집을 위한 프록시 클라이언트 코드의 자동 생성 방안에 관한 연구)

  • This paper proposes automatic generation method of proxy client code to automation of web service selection process through a monitoring agent. The technique of this paper help service consumer to provide source code of proxy client as it bring an attribute value of specific element of WSDL document using template rule. Namely, a XSLT script file provide code frame of dynamic invocation interface model. The automatic code generation technique need to solving starvation status of selection architecture. It is required to creating request HTTP message for every service on the result of search. The created proxy client program code generate dummy message about services. The proposed client code generation method show us a possibility of application in the automatic generation programming domain.
