  • In this paper, double encryption technology of image based on scramble operation and phase-shifting digital holography is proposed. For the purpose, we perform first encryption digitally using scramble operation for the to be encrypted image, and perform phase modulation to the first encrypted image. Finally, we get the secondary encryption information through the interference between the phase-shifted reference wave and phase modulated image. The decryption process proceeds in the reverse order of the encryption process. The original image is reconstructed by digitally decoding the two encrypted images through a phase shift digital holography technique that appropriately performs arithmetic processing, phase-demodulating and then using the encryption key information used in the scramble operation. The proposed cryptosystem can recover the original image only if both the key information used in the scramble operation, the distance information used in the phase shift digital holography technique, and the wavelength of the light source are known accurately.

  • In this paper, we implemented a hierarchical encryption system using two-step phase-shifting digital holography(PSDH) technology based on XOR and scramble operations. The proposed encryption system is a system that authenticates access through the issuance of an encryption key for access to individual laboratories, department offices, and universities. In the encryption process, we proposed a double encryption method using XOR and scramble operation with digital technology and two-step phase-shifting digital holography with optical technology. In the two-step PSDH process, an new method of determining the reference wave intensity without measuring it by using random common object image gererated from digital encryption process was also proposed. In the decryption process, the process is performed in the reverse order of encryption process. And only when the various key information used in the encryption process is correct, the encrypted information can be decrypted, so that the user can access the desired place. That is, there is a feature that can hierarchically control the space that can be accessed according to the type of key issued in the proposed encryption system. Through the computer simulation, the feasibility of the proposed hierarchical encryption system was confirmed.

  • This study compared the delays of scramble crosswalks and general crosswalks, considering the pedestrian and vehicle traffic at intersections. Based on the signal theory, this study used traffic delays as a measure of feasibility of installing scramble crosswalks. The road structure and length of signal lights were assumed to be specific numbers to calculate the delays in vehicles and pedestrians. With the computed delays, this study compared general crosswalks and scramble crosswalks, and evaluated the feasibility sections on the installation of scramble crosswalks using circular and non-circular signal phases, respectively. The analysis confirmed that the introduction of scramble crosswalks might be more appropriate when the traffic ratio on the main roads is high. In addition, the application of non-circular signal phases is more proper for the operation of scramble crosswalks than circular signal phases. In the non-circular signaling system, however, it was shown that diagonal crosswalks might not be practical if the demand for diagonal crossing is too low. These results are expected to contribute to the development of basic guidelines for assessing the installment feasibility of scramble crosswalks in terms of traffic operation and efficiency.

  • WAVE(Wireless Access for Vehicular Environment) is new concepts and Vehicles communications technology using for ITS(Intelligent Transportation Systems) service by IEEE standard 802.11p. Also it increases the efficiency and safety of the traffic on the road. However, the efficiency of Scrambler bit computational algorithms of OFDM modulation in WAVE systems will fall as it is not able to process in parallel in terms of hardware and software. This paper proposes an algorithm to configure 64-bits matrix table in scambler bit computation as well as an algorithm to compute 64-bits matrix table and input data in parallel. The proposed algorithm on this thesis is executed using 64-bits matrix table. In the result, the processing speed for 1 and 1000 times is improved about 40.08% ~ 40.27% and processing rate per sec is performed more than 468.35 compared to bit operation scramble. And processing speed for 1 and 1000 times is improved about 7.53% ~ 7.84% and processing rate per sec is performed more than 91.44 compared to 32-bits operation scramble. Therefore, if the 64 bit-CPU is used for 64-bits executable scramble algorithm, it is improved more than 40% compare to 32-bits scrambler.

  • In this paper, we proposed a digital image watermarking technique using scrambled binary phase computer generated hologram in the discrete cosine transform(DCT) domain. For the embedding process of watermark. Using simulated annealing algorithm, we would generate a binary phase computer generated hologram(BPCGH) which can reconstruct hidden image perfectly instead of hidden image and encrypt it through the scramble operation. We multiply the encrypted watermark by the weight function and embed it into the DC coefficients in the DCT domain of host image and an inverse DCT is performed. For the extracting process of watermark, we compare the DC coefficients of watermarked image and original host image in the DCT domain and dividing it by the weight function and decrypt it using descramble operation. And we recover the hidden image by inverse Fourier transforming the decrypted watermark. Finally, we compute the correlation between the original hidden image and recovered hidden image to determine if a watermark exits in the host image. The proposed watermarking technique use the hologram information of hidden image which consist of binary values and scramble encryption technique so it is very secure and robust to the various external attacks such as compression, noises and cropping. We confirmed the advantages of the proposed watermarking technique through the computer simulations.

  • This paper proposes the revised ASCII code. The study started with consideration whether the ASCII code is proper or not in the side of the transmission efficiency in data communications. In data communications, when the consecutive "0" bits from the information devices input into the line coder, its consecutive "0" bits are scrambled to the predetermined patterns not to the consecutive "0" signal. The paper used to study with the statistical data for the frequency of the letters of the alphabets and the proposed rule of characters coding in reference. As a result of the study, when the proposed ASCII code is applied, the operation efficiency of the scrambler in the line coder is improved upto average 30%.
