The New IT industry based on Brain Science, a new industry combined with brain science and IT, will develop new IT services based on Brain Science. And this industry will become the new growth engine industry. This study examines the vision/strategies of policy for the New IT Convergence Industry based on Brain Science. Therefore this article's purposes are below; first, structuring the ecosystem for New IT industry based on Brain Science, second, classifying the service types of this industry, and last, suggesting of promotion policy for this industry.

This paper aims at setting up a theory of science-based industry, discussing the patterns of technological innovation and the issues of industrial change. The paradigms of technological change are changing rapidly from engineering-based to science-based innovation and industry. New paradigms are clearly distinctive from old paradigms, and hence raises several issues of the theory of industry.

In recent years, manufacturers of animal-based foods with health claims have encountered difficulties in the labeling of their products because of a lack of regulation on defining the functionality of animal-based foods. Therefore, this study was conducted to establish the basic requirements for the development of a definition for functional animal-based foods by investigating consumer and industry awareness. Survey data were collected from 114 industry representatives and 1,100 consumers. The questions of the survey included items on production status and future production plans, functionality labeling, promotion plans, establishment of definition, the role of the government, consumer perception, and selection of products. The results show that both industry representatives and consumers believe that legislation and the provision of scientific evidence should be improved for the development of a functional animal-based foods market. The results obtained from this study will contribute to consumer trust by supplying correct information and can be utilized in the industry as basic data for the development of functional animal-based food products.

The 21st century is characterized by knowledge-based economy or society. The most important features of this knowledge society are the close relationship between science and technology, and the birth of science-based technologies or industries. Bioindustry which is the core area in this era is a representative science-based industry(SBI). In SBIs including BT(biotechnology) and ICT(information and communication technology), the creation of scientific knowledge and the ability to capitalize on that are very important. The United States leadership in research across the spectrum of science and technology is the result of the success in both achieving high level of research and capitalizing on that enabled them to grow. Capitalization is the process that transforms the results of research into practical concrete national benefits. It is such a dynamic process that cant be clearly modeled. In this study, we propose the dynamic capitalization process for innovation of SBIs in terms of the fuel and engine and analyse our potential.

Caseous lymphadenitis (CLA) is an endemic but not well-studied disease of Korean native goats (KNG) in Korea. Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis is the causative agent of the contagious and chronic CLA found in goats. This study aimed to validate the potential risk factors associated with CLA and assess its seasonal prevalence to mitigate this disease in KNG. Data were collected through a questionnaire from four high- and four low-prevalence farms randomly selected based on a prior investigation. The monthly assessments of CLA were conducted in a goat abattoir located in Jeonnam Province, Korea, to evaluate its seasonal prevalence. The associated risk factors for CLA in KNG herds imply that herd size, scratching against pillars, pipes, or walls in the herd, and disinfection of goat herds are potential risk factors for CLA (P<0.05). The type of floor and entry of new goats into the herd, which are potential risk factors, affected CLA prevalence in the KNG herd (P<0.2). The prevalence of CLA in KNG was significantly higher in spring (29.34%) than in autumn (14.61%), summer (15.31%), and winter (19.48%) (P<0.05). Based on the risk factor assessment, attention should be to establishing accurate preventive measures by avoiding these identified potential risk factors.

Purpose. The purpose of this paper was to analyze the educational needs of industry which will hire learner and to develop curriculum to meet the demand. Methods. This study was a descriptive research based on survey results. In each questionnaire, the number of responses and ratios were measured to determine the priorities of the questionnaire items and the education demand was evaluated based on these priorities. Results. The core competency keywords for nurses in industry are knowledge, technology, and communication. In the industry needs for curriculum development, the importance of education to be strengthened for nurse training was found to be core basic nursing skills, nursing process application ability, communication ability, creative nursing problem solving ability, personality and foreign language ability. Conclusion. This study has laid the groundwork for the development of competency based curriculum based on environmental factors and reducing the problems of mis - matching between industry and education.

Purpose: This study seeks to discuss research ethics, not only the academic honesty and sincerity that researchers who study aviation services academically should have, but also the direction of the moral aspects that are fundamentally required as researchers. Additionally, this study seeks to examine the realistic problems of research related to the aviation service industry, a field of social science. Lastly, focusing on research ethics in the aviation service field, we will look at the theoretical background and the problems in the actual research field, and draw implications based on this. Research design, data and methodology: This study conducted an exploratory study through a selection process based on research ethics topics and research ethics related to the aviation service industry. Results: Efforts to systematize research ethics in research areas related to the aviation service industry, which is a field of social science, require efforts to expand the scope of systematization of research ethics related to the aviation service industry by referring to systemization efforts in other academic fields. In addition, specific systemization efforts will be needed through cooperation between universities, research institutes, and academic organizations. Also, concrete systematization efforts will be needed through cooperation between universities and academic organizations.

This paper is an inquiry into the patterns of technological innovation of bio - industry in Korea in comparison with the worldwide patterns. In another words, this study wants to check whether the patterns of technological innovation of bio - industry in Korea differ front those in advanced countries or not. The comparison is based on the theory of science - based industry asserted by Seol (2001) and Cho (2001). There are no specific difference in the patterns of technological innovation such as science - based innovation, capitalization of science, industries leading by scientific fields, the importance of venture firms for commercialization, high level of R&D expense to sales. Also the order of fields by size is similar to worldwide patterns. But the size of microbiology is bigger than that of worldwide patterns. The strength in microbiology may be the country specific features of Korea, like platform technology of Germany.

This research is focusing on industry dynamics of Korean Mobile Telecommunications Industry. Industry data from 1997 to April 2004 are used to analyze industry dynamics through variety use of case study and system dynamics modeling. As results, we found the importance of initial endowment, firm reputation, and handset subsidy strategy. Along with these player-based characteristics, government impacts on dynamics of competition are also investigated.
