무선 센서 네트워크의 사용분야가 넓어짐에 따라 다양한 종류의 플랫폼을 지원하고 센서 노드의 제한된 자원을 효율적으로 사용할 수 있도록 관리하는 센서 운영체제들에 대한 연구가 활발하게 진행되었다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 운영체제들의 특징과 장단점을 분석해 보고, 태스크 관리와 메모리 관리 측면에서 성능 평가를 수행했다. 이러한 정보를 바탕으로 더욱 효율적인 시스템 설계를 위한 대안을 제시한다.

Angiogenesis is crucial for solid tumor growth. By secreting angiogenic factors, tumor cells induce angiogenesis. However, targeting these angiogenic factors for cancer therapy is not always successful, suggesting that other factors may be involved in tumor angiogenesis. This work shows that 25 protein spots were differentially expressed by two-dimensional gel electrophoretic analysis when HepG2 cells induced endothelial cell differentiation to tube in vitro, and most of them were upregulated. Twenty-one proteins were identified with MALDITOF-MS, and the other four were identified by LTQ-MS/MS. Keratins were identified as one class of these upregulated proteins. Further study indicated that the expression of keratin 17 in cultured endothelial cells is likely microenvironment regulated, because its expression can be induced by HepG2 cells and bFGF as well as serum in culture media. Increased expression of keratins in endothelial cells, such as keratin 17, may contribute to the angiogenesis induced by HepG2 cells.

We are creating all-sky diffuse maps from the AKARI mid-infrared survey data with the two photometric bands centered at wavelengths of 9 and $18{\mu}m$. The AKARI mid-infrared diffuse maps achieve higher spatial resolution and higher sensitivity than the IRAS maps. In particular, the $9{\mu}m$ data are unique resources as an all-sky tracer of the emission of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). However, the original data suffer many artifacts. Thus, we have been developing correction methods. Among them, we have recently improved correction methods for the non-linearity and the reset anomaly of the detector response. These corrections successfully reduce the artifact level down to $0.1MJy\;sr^{-1}$ on average, which is essential for discussion on faint extended emission (e.g., the Galactic PAH emission). We have also made progress in the subtraction of the scattered light caused in the camera optics. We plan to release the improved diffuse maps to the public within a year.

Amyloidosis is a systemic disorder associated with clonal plasma cell dyscrasia. Nephrotic syndrome, congestive heart failure, autonomic and peripheral neuropathy is often associated features in amyloidosis. Early diagnosis is most important because of different prognosis by stage. The diagnosis can be delayed since symptoms of amyloidosis may vary or nonspecific. We describe a patient of myeloma-associated amyloidosis, who showed orthostatic intolerance as the first symptom of the disease.
