물푸레나무속(屬) 수형목(秀型木)의 수심(水沈)에 의(依)한 지조맹아(枝條萌芽) 발생력(發生力)과 이를 이용(利用)한 녹지삽목(綠枝揷木) 증식시험(增殖試驗) (The Production of Adventitious Sprouts by Water-soak and Vegetative Propagation of Plus tree of Ash Species Through Cuttings of Their Sprouts)

  • 물푸레나무 및 들메나무는 결실주기(結實週期)가 길고 암수 딴 그루이므로 우수개체(優秀個體)를 유전자(遺傳子) 변화(變化)없이 대량증식(大量增植) 시킬 수 있는 효과적(效果的)인 삽목(揷木) 등(等) 무성긴식법(無性緊植法)이 요구(要求)된다. 이에 전국(全國)에 산재(散在)한 우수개체(優秀個體)인 수형목(秀型木) 지조(枝條)를 채취(採取)하여 water culture로 맹아지(萌芽枝)를 유도(誘導)하고 발생(發生)된 맹아지(萌芽枝)와 포지(圃地)에 식재(植栽)된 2년생(年生) 실생묘(實生苗) 맹아지(萌芽枝)를 이용(利用)하여 녹지삽목(綠枝揷木)을 실시(實施)하였다. 물푸레나무 및 들메나무의 평균(平均) 수령(樹齡)은 각각(各各) 45, 50년생(年生)이었는데 길이 30cm, 직경(直徑) 5-15cm의 가지에서 시료당(試料當) 3.5개(個)의 맹아지(萌芽枝)가 발생(發生)하였고, 맹아지(萌芽枝) shoot길이가 10cm 이상(以上)되어 삽목가능(揷木可能)한 맹아지(萌芽枝)는 시료당(試料當) 0.6개(個)이었다. 수령범위(樹齡範圍) 29-100년생(年生)에서 수령(樹齡)과 맹아지(萌芽枝) 발생수(發生數) 및 삽목가능(揷木可能) 본수간(本數間)에 두 수종(樹種) 모두 상관(相關)을 보이지 않았다. 환경요인별(環境要因別) 삽목시험(揷木試驗)에서는 노지(露地)의 경우 물푸레 65%, 들메 63%의 발근율(發根率)을 보였고 온실(溫室)에서는 물푸레나무 84%, 들메나무 89%의 발근율(發根率)을 나타내어 노지삽목(露地揷木)보다 온실삽목(溫室揷木)이 좋았다. 상토별(床土別) 삽목시험(揷木試驗)에서는 펄라이트와 피트모스를 2 : 1로 혼합(混合)한 상토(床土)에서의 발근율(發根率)이 평균(平均) 80% 로 가장 양호(良好)하였다. 삽목묘(揷木苗)의 뿌리발달(發達)에 있어서 비용기(非容器) 삽목묘(揷木苗)와 용기(容器) 삽목묘(揷木苗)의 발근(發根)된 뿌리수(數)는 3.6개(個), 2.9개(個)였고, 근장(根長)은 18.4cm, 12.3cm으로 비용기(非容器) 삽목묘(揷木苗)의 뿌리발달(發達)이 양호(良好)하였다 또한, 같은 조건(條件)에서는 상토공극(床土空隙)이 큰 상토삽목묘(床土揷木苗)(왕사)가 공극(空隙)이 작은 상토(床土)(펄라이트 : 버미큐라이트 : 피트모스= 1 : 1 : 1) 삽목묘(揷木苗)보다 뿌리발달(發達) 및 이듬해 shoot생장(生長)이 왕성(旺盛)하였다.

배양신경세포의 저산소증모델에서 대황 물추출물에 의한 유전자 표현 변화의 microarray 분석 (Microarray Analysis of Gene Expression by Rhei Rhizoma Water Extracts in a Hypoxia Model of Cultured Neurons)

  • 대황(Rhei Rhizoma; RR, 대황(大黃))은 Rheum officinale Baill.와 Rheum palmatum L.(polygonaceae)의 땅속부분으로 남아시아의 민속의학에서 간 및 신장의 손상을 치료하는데 널리 이용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 배양한 흰쥐 해마신경세포의 저산소증모델을 이용하여 대황의 물추출물이 유전자 표현에 미치는 영향을 microarray 방법을 이용하여 조사하였다. 배양 후 10일 (DIV10)에 추출물을 배지에 $2.5{\mu}g/ml$ 농도로 첨가하고, DIV13에 저산소증(2% $O_2$/5% $CO_2$, $37^{\circ}C$, 3 h)을 유발한 후 24 시간 후에 total RNA를 분리하여 microarray에 사용하였다. MA-plot에 의하면 표현이 연화된 대부분의 유전자는 ${\pm}2$배 이내로 증감되었다. 이 가운데 Global M 값이 0.2(즉, 15%)보다 더 증가한 유전자는 472종, Global M 값이 -0.2(즉, -15%)보다 더 감소한 유전자는 725종이였다. 세포의 생존과 관련된 유전자 가운데 세포자연사 억제유전자인 Tegt(2.4배), Nfkb1 (2.4배), Veg (1.8배), Ngfr (1.6배) 등이 크게 증가하였으며, 반면에 자연사 촉진유전자인 Bad (-64%), Cstb (-66%)는 감소하였다. 스트레스를 극복하는데 필요한 유전자인 Defb3 (2.7배), Cygb (2.2배), Ahsg (2.18배), Alox5 (2배) 등도 크게 증가하였다. 그리고 세포 성장을 촉진하는 유전자인 Erbb2 (1.84배), Mapk12 (1.8배)도 크게 증가하였다. 따라서 대황의 물추출물은 세포생존에 필요한 유전자를 증가시키고, 세포사를 유도하는 유전자는 감소시킴으로서 저산소층 스트레스에서 신경세포의 사망을 억제하는 것으로 해석된다.

한국과 일본여성의 식문화 의식과 전통식품 소비실태 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on the Dietary Culture Consciousness and Their Consumption Attitude of Traditional Foods between Korean and Japanese Women)

  • We conducted a survey on Japanese women's consciousness of food culture and their traditional food consumption by self filling-out questionnaire during January, 2000 for the period of a month, For the survey we selected 250 women residing in Kyoto, Japan. For the statistic work we used SAS package system, and t-test, $\cal{X}^2-test$ and Duncan's multiple range test were also used to verify the results significance. The purpose of this survey lies in gathering a basic data on the comparative direction of Korean and Japanese women's food culture in the future 1. Comparing the preferred food purchase place, In case of Korean women, traditional market was comparatively more preferred while Japanese women relatively preferred convenience store (p<0.001). 2. In case of Japanese women, they answered there is no difference from ordinary days on New Year's Day (71%) and Christmas (40%) while 38% answered they prepare food at home. 40% said they prepare food on parents-in-law's birthday, and 41% said no difference from ordinary days. 52% said they prepare food at home on husband's birthday. For their own birthday, 32% said yes to preparing food at home while 45% said no difference and 22.3% said eating out. For children's birthday 65% said preparing at home, 16.3% said no difference and 14.9% said eating out. 3. Comparing the conception on traditional food, Korean women answered 'complicated' (77%) most while 'simple' (5%) least, which indicates their demands for simplified recipes. In case of Japanese women, 'complicated' (44%) was most while 'scientific' (6%) was least which indicates their demands for scientific way of recipes. There were differences shown by age (p<0.001) and the older the more said 'simple' or 'logical' (p<0.01). 4. As the reason for the complicity of traditional food recipes, Koreans said 'too many hand skill' (60%) most while 'too many spices' (8%) least. For Japanese, 'various kind of the recipe' (55%) was most while 'too many hand skill' (7%) was least. There were significant differences shown by academic background (p<0.01) and income(p<0.01), and the lower the academic background, the more said 'too many spices' as the reason for the complicity in making traditional food. Generally, the lesser the income, the more tendency to say 'various kinds of the recipe'. 5. In case of Koreans, 'the recipe is difficult' (56%) was high while 'uninterested' (9%) was low in answer which showed differences by academic background (p<0.05), and in case of Japanese, 'no time to cook' (44%) was high while 'uninterested' (7%) was low. 6. The following is the reasons for choosing traditional food as a snack for children. In case of Koreans, they answered as 'traditional food' (34%), 'made from nutrious and quality materials' (27%), 'for education' (22%) and 'suites their taste' (17%) revealing 'traditional food' is highest. In case of Japanese, it was revealed in the order of 'made from nutrious and quality materials' (36.3%), 'traditional food' (25.2%), 'suites their taste' (22.6%), 'for education' (12.8%) and 7. Comparing the most important thing for the popularization of traditional food in the world, Koreans answered 'taste and nutrition' (45%) most while 'shape and color' (6%) least. In case of Japanese, 'taste and nutrition' (75%) was answered most while 'hygienic packaging' (4%) was least. Both considered 'taste and nutrition' as most important thing for the popularization of traditional food in the world. 8. In case of Koreans, they answered they learn how to make traditional food 'from mother' (47%), 'media' (18%), 'school' (15%), 'from mother-in-law' (14%), 'private cooking school' (4%) and 'close acquaintances' (2%). In case of Japanese, they said mostly learn 'from mother', but it was also shown that the lower the academic background the lesser the tendency of learning 'from mother' but 'from school' (p<0.001). 9. About the consumption of traditional fermented food, Koreans said they make kimchi (90%), pickled vegetables (39%), soy sauce (33%), bean paste (38%), salted fishery (12%) and traditional liquors (14%) at home while 67% for salted fishery and 48% for traditional liquors answered they buy rather than making at home. On the other hand, Japanese answered they mostly buy kimchi (60%), soy sauce (96%), bean paste(91%), natto(92%), salt fermented fish foods (77%) and traditional alcoholic beverage (88%) to eat. This difference was shown very distinct between Korean and Japanese women (p<0.001). 10. About the most important thing in food, Koreans answered in the order of 'liking and satisfaction' (33%), 'for health' (32%), 'for relieve hunger' (18%) and 'convenience' (17%). In case of Japanese, it was revealed in the order of 'for health' (61%), 'liking and satisfaction' (20%), 'to relieve hunger' (16%) and 'convenience' (3%). This shows that Japanese women take comparably more importance to health than Korean women. The conception of food was shown different between Korean and Japanese women (p<0.001), and Koreans showed level 4-5 of food culture while Japanese showed level 5.

  • This article reviews the papers published in the Korean Journal of Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering during 2016. It is intended to understand the status of current research in the areas of heating, cooling, ventilation, sanitation, and indoor environments of buildings and plant facilities. Conclusions are as follows. (1) The research works on the thermal and fluid engineering have been reviewed as groups of flow, heat and mass transfer, the reduction of pollutant exhaust gas, cooling and heating, the renewable energy system and the flow around buildings. CFD schemes were used more for all research areas. (2) Research works on heat transfer area have been reviewed in the categories of heat transfer characteristics, pool boiling and condensing heat transfer and industrial heat exchangers. Researches on heat transfer characteristics included the results of the long-term performance variation of the plate-type enthalpy exchange element made of paper, design optimization of an extruded-type cooling structure for reducing the weight of LED street lights, and hot plate welding of thermoplastic elastomer packing. In the area of pool boiling and condensing, the heat transfer characteristics of a finned-tube heat exchanger in a PCM (phase change material) thermal energy storage system, influence of flow boiling heat transfer on fouling phenomenon in nanofluids, and PCM at the simultaneous charging and discharging condition were studied. In the area of industrial heat exchangers, one-dimensional flow network model and porous-media model, and R245fa in a plate-shell heat exchanger were studied. (3) Various studies were published in the categories of refrigeration cycle, alternative refrigeration/energy system, system control. In the refrigeration cycle category, subjects include mobile cold storage heat exchanger, compressor reliability, indirect refrigeration system with $CO_2$ as secondary fluid, heat pump for fuel-cell vehicle, heat recovery from hybrid drier and heat exchangers with two-port and flat tubes. In the alternative refrigeration/energy system category, subjects include membrane module for dehumidification refrigeration, desiccant-assisted low-temperature drying, regenerative evaporative cooler and ejector-assisted multi-stage evaporation. In the system control category, subjects include multi-refrigeration system control, emergency cooling of data center and variable-speed compressor control. (4) In building mechanical system research fields, fifteenth studies were reported for achieving effective design of the mechanical systems, and also for maximizing the energy efficiency of buildings. The topics of the studies included energy performance, HVAC system, ventilation, renewable energies, etc. Proposed designs, performance tests using numerical methods and experiments provide useful information and key data which could be help for improving the energy efficiency of the buildings. (5) The field of architectural environment was mostly focused on indoor environment and building energy. The main researches of indoor environment were related to the analyses of indoor thermal environments controlled by portable cooler, the effects of outdoor wind pressure in airflow at high-rise buildings, window air tightness related to the filling piece shapes, stack effect in core type's office building and the development of a movable drawer-type light shelf with adjustable depth of the reflector. The subjects of building energy were worked on the energy consumption analysis in office building, the prediction of exit air temperature of horizontal geothermal heat exchanger, LS-SVM based modeling of hot water supply load for district heating system, the energy saving effect of ERV system using night purge control method and the effect of strengthened insulation level to the building heating and cooling load.

디지털미디어 환경(環境)에서 디자인 특성(特性)에 관한 연구(硏究) - 실내제품(室內製品) 디자인을 중심으로 - (A Destructive Method in the Connection of the Algorithm and Design in the Digital media - Centered on the Rapid Prototyping Systems of Product Design -)

  • The purpose of this thesis is to propose a new concept of design of the 21st century, on the basis of the study on the general signification of the structures and the signs of industrial product design, by examining the difference between modern and post-modern design, which is expected to lead the users to different design practice and interpretation of it. The starting point of this study is the different styles and patterns of 'Gestalt' in the post-modern design of the late 20th century from modern design - the factor of determination in industrial product design. That is to say, unlike functional and rational styles of modern product design, the late 20th century is based upon the pluralism characterized by complexity, synthetic and decorativeness. So far, most of the previous studies on design seem to have excluded visual aspects and usability, focused only on effective communication of design phenomena. These partial studies on design, blinded by phenomenal aspects, have resulted in failure to discover a principle of fundamental system. However, design varies according to the times; and the transformation of design is reflected in Design Pragnanz to constitute a new text of design. Therefore, it can be argued that Design Pragnanz serves as an essential factor under influence of the significance of text. In this thesis, therefore, I delve into analysis of the 20th century product design, in the light of Gestalt theory and Design Pragnanz, which have been functioning as the principle of the past design. For this study, I attempted to discover the fundamental elements in modern and post-modern designs, and to examine the formal structure of product design, the users' aesthetic preference and its semantics, from the integrative viewpoint. Also, with reference to history and theory of design my emphasis is more on fundamental visual phenomena than on structural analysis or process of visualization in product design, in order to examine the formal properties of modern and post-modern designs. Firstly, In Chapter 1, 'Issues and Background of the Study', I investigated the Gestalt theory and Design Pragnanz, on the premise of formal distinction between modern and post-modern designs. These theories are founded upon the discussion on visual perception of Gestalt in Germany in 1910's, in pursuit of the principle of perception centered around visual perception of human beings. In Chapter 2, I dealt with functionalism of modern design, as an advance preparation for the further study on the product design of the late 20th century. First of all, in Chapter 2-1, I examined the tendency of modern design focused on functionalism, which can be exemplified by the famous statement 'Form follows function'. Excluding all unessential elements in design - for example, decoration, this tendency has attained the position of the international style based on the spirit of Bauhause - universality and regularity - in search of geometric order, standardization and rationalization. In Chapter 2-2, I investigated the anthropological viewpoint that modern design started representing culture in a symbolic way including overall aspects of the society - politics, economics and ethics, and its criticism on functionalist design that aesthetic value is missing in exchange of excessive simplicity in style. Moreover, I examined the pluralist phenomena in post-modern design such as kitsch, eclecticism, reactionism, hi-tech and digital design, breaking away from functionalist purism of modern design. In Chapter 3, I analyzed Gestalt Pragnanz in design in a practical way, against the background of design trends. To begin with, I selected mass product design among those for the 20th century products as a target of analysis, highlighting representative styles in each category of the products. For this analysis, I adopted the theory of J. M Lehnhardt, who gradated in percentage the aesthetic and semantic levels of Pragnantz in design expression, and that of J. K. Grutter, who expressed it in a formula of M = O : C. I also employed eight units of dichotomies, according to the G. D. Birkhoff's aesthetic criteria, for the purpose of scientific classification of the degree of order and complexity in design; and I analyzed phenomenal aspects of design form represented in each unit. For Chapter 4, I executed a questionnaire about semiological phenomena of Design Pragnanz with 28 units of antonymous adjectives, based upon the research in the previous chapter. Then, I analyzed the process of signification of Design Pragnanz, founded on this research. Furthermore, the interpretation of the analysis served as an explanation to preference, through systematic analysis of Gestalt and Design Pragnanz in product design of the late 20th century. In Chapter 5, I determined the position of Design Pragnanz by integrating the analyses of Gestalt and Pragnanz in modern and post-modern designs In this process, 1 revealed the difference of each Design Pragnanz in formal respect, in order to suggest a vision of the future as a result, which will provide systemic and structural stimulation to current design.

한의학의 항종양 면역치료에 관한 연구 -1990년 이후 발표된 실험논문을 중심으로- (Compilation of 104 Experimental Theses on the Antitumor and Immuno-activating therapies of Oriental Medicine)

  • This study was done to compile 104 experimental theses which are related to the antitumor and immuno-activating therapies between February 1990 through February 2002. Master's and doctoral theses were dassified by schools, degrees, materials, effects, experimental methods of antitumor and immunoactivity, and results. The following results were obtained from this study : 1. Classifying the theses by the school, 34.6% were presented by Daejeon University, 29.8% by Kyung-hee University and 11.5% by Won-kwang University. Of all theses, 51.0% were aimed for the doctoral degree and 43.3% were for the master's degree. All of three universities have their own cancer centers. 2. Classifying the theses by herb materials, complex prescription accounted for 60.3%, single herb accounted for 24.8% and herbal acupuncture accounted for 14.2%. Considering the key principles of the traditional medicine, complex prescription was much more thoroughly studied than single herb prescription. The results showed that the complex prescription had both antitumor activity and immuno-activating activity, which might reflects on multi-activation mechanisms by complex components. 3. Classifying the theses by the efficacy of herbs examined, in single herb, invigorating spleen and supplementing was 35.5%, expelling toxin and cooling was 29.0%, activating blood flow and removing blood stasis was 12.9%. In herbal acupuncture, invigorating spleen and supplementing was 52.9%, expelling toxin and cooling was 29.4%. In complex prescription, pathogen-free status was 41.9%, strengthening healthy qi to eliminate pathogen was 35.5%, strengthening healthy qi was 22.6%. It is presumed that the antitumor and immunoactivating therapy based on syndrome differentiation is the best way to develop oriental oncology. 4. Classifying the theses by antitumor experiments, cytotoxic effect was 48.1 %, survival time was 48.1 % and change of tumor size was 42.3%. Survival rate was not necessarily correlated with cytotoxicity. These data reflect the characteristic, wholistic nature of the oriental medicine which is based on BRM (biological response modifier). 5. Classifying the theses by immunoactivating experiments, hemolysin titer was 51.0%, hemagglutinin titer was 46.2% and NK cell's activity was 44.2%. In the future studies, an effort to elucidate specific molecular and cellular mechanisms of cytokine production in the body would be crucial. 6. Classifying the theses according to the data in terms of antitumor activity, 50% was evaluated good, 24.0% was excellent, and 15.5% have no effect. In an evaluation of immuno-activating activity, 35.9% was excellent and 18.0% showed a little effect. The index point, as described here, may helps to use experimental data for clinical trials. Changes in index points by varying dosage implicate the importance of oriental medical theory for prescription. 7. In 167 materials, IIP (immunoactivating index point, mean : 3.12±0.07) was significantly higher than AIP(antitumor index point, mean : 2.83±0.07). These data demonstrate that the effect of herb medicine on tumor activity depends more on immunoactivating activity than antitumor activity. This further implies that the development of herbal antitumor drugs must be preceded by the mechanistic understanding of immunoactivating effect. 8. After medline-searching tumor and herb-related articles from NCBI web site, we conclude that most of the studies are primarily focused on biomolecular mechanisms and/or pathways. Henceforth, we need to define the biomolecular mechanisms and/or pathways affected by herbs or complicated prescriptions. 9. Therefore, the most important point of oriental medical oncology is to conned between experimental results and clinical trials. For the public application of herbal therapy to cancer, it is critical to present the data to mass media. 10. To develop the relationship of experimental results and clinical trials, university's cancer clinic must have a long-range plan related to the university laboratories and, at the same time, a regular consortium for this relationship is imperative. 11. After all these efforts, a new type herbal medicine for cancer therapy which is to take care of the long-term administering and safety problem must be developed. Then, it would be expected that anti-tumor herbal acupuncture can improve clinical symptoms and quality of life (QOL) for cancer patients. 12. Finally, oriental medical cancer center must be constructed in NCC (National Cancer Center) or government agency for the development of oriental medical oncology which has international competitive power.

가습기살균제 참사의 진행과 교훈(Q&A) (Questions and Answers about the Humidifier Disinfectant Disaster as of February 2017)

  • 'The worstest environment disaster', 'World's first biocide massacre', 'Home-based Sewol ferry disaster' are all phrases attached to the recent humidifier disinfectant disaster. In the spring of 2011, four of 8 pregnant women including 1 adult man passed away at a university hospital in Seoul due to breathing failure. Epidemiologic investigation conducted by the Korean CDC soon revealed the inhalation of humidifier disinfectant, which had been widely used in Korea during the winter, to be responsible for the disease. As well as lung fibrosis hardening of the lungs, other diseases including asthma, rhinitis, skin disease, liver disease, fetal disease or cancers have been researched for their relation with exposure to the products. By February 9, 2017, 5,342 cases had registered for health problems and 1,131 of them were already dead (20.8% mortality rate). Based on studies by government agencies and a telephone survey of the general population by Seoul National University and civic groups, around 20% of the general public of Korea has used these products. Since the market release of the first product by SK Chemical in 1994, over 7.1 million items from around 20 brands were sold up to 2011. Most of the products were manufactured by well-known large conglomerates such as SK, Lotte, Samsung, Shinsegye, LG, and GS, as well as some European companies including UK-based Reckitt Benckiser and TESCO, the German firm Henkel, the Danish firm KeTox, and an Irish company. Even though this disaster was unveiled in 2011 by the Korean government, the issue of the victims was neglected for over five years. In 2016, an unexpected but intensive investigation by prosecutors found that Reckitt Benckiser manipulated and concealed animal tests for its own brand and brought several university experts and company employees to court. The matter was an intense social issue in Korea from May to June with a surge in media coverage. The prosecutor's investigation and a nationwide boycott campaign organized by victims and environmental groups against Reckitt Benckiser, whose product had been used by more than 70% of victims, led to the producer's official apology and a compensation scheme. A legislative investigation organized after the April 2016 national election revealed the producers' faults and the government's responsibility, but failed to meet expectations. A special law for the victims passed the National Assembly in January 2017 and a punitive system together with a massive environmental epidemiology investigation are expected to be the only solutions for this tragedy. Sciences of medicine, toxicology and environmental health have provided decisive evidence so far, but for the remaining problems the perspectives of social sciences such as sociology and jurisprudence are highly necessary, similar to with the Minamata disease and Wonjin Rayon events. It may not be easy to follow this issue using unfamiliar terminology from medical and chemical science and the long, complicated history of the event. For these reasons the author has attempted to write this article in a question and answer format to render it easier to follow. The 17 questions are: Q1 What is humidifier disinfectant? Q2 What kind of health problems are caused by humidifier disinfectant? Q3 How many victims are there? Q4 What is the analysis of the 1,112 cases of death? Q5 What is the problem with the government's diagnostic criteria and the solution? Q6 Who made what brands? Q7 Has there been a recall? What is still on sale? 사료 내 케타민과 덱스메데토미딘의 잔류조사를 위한 동시분석법 개발 (Development of simultaneous analytical method for investigation of ketamine and dexmedetomidine in feed)

  • 안락사 시킨 유기견의 사체를 고온 및 고압 처리하여 가루로 만들고 사료 원료(육골분)로 사용했다는 언론보도에 따라 안락사에 사용된 마취제 케타민과 덱스메데토미딘의 사료 내 잔류가능성이 제기되었다. 이에 신속한 잔류 조사를 위해 QuEChERS 전처리와 질량분석기를 이용한 동시분석법을 개발하였다. 개발된 동시분석법의 직선성은 0.999 이상을 보였다. 선택성은 무처리 시료와 케타민과 덱스메데토미딘이 정량한계수준으로 처리된 시료의 비교를 통해 평가하였고, MRM 크로마토그램을 확인한 결과 각각의 머무름 시간에서 매질의 간섭은 없었다. 검출한계는 0.6 ㎍/L, 정량한계는 2 ㎍/L로 설정하였으며, 분석법의 최종 정량한계는 10 ㎍/kg로 설정하였다. 육골분, 육분, 애완용 배합사료 중 케타민의 회수율 실험 결과, 80.48-98.63 %, 상대표준편차 5.00 % 이하의 결과를 보였으며, 덱스메데토미딘은 회수율 72.75-93.00 %, 상대표준편차 4.83 % 이하의 결과를 보였다. 개발된 분석법을 활용하여 케타민과 덱스메데토미딘의 잔류실태조사를 실시하였다. 해당 원료가 배포된 시기에 제조된 육골분 등의 사료 6 점을 수거하여 분석한 결과, 육골분 시료 한점에서 케타민이 10.8 ㎍/kg이 검출되었고, 덱스메데토미딘은 정량 한계 미만의 농도로 확인되었다. 이에 해당 원료를 사용한 제품은 전량 회수, 폐기되었다. 이후에도 육골분 사료의 안전성 확보를 위해 육골분 및 배합사료 등의 시료 32점을 추가로 수거하여 케타민과 덱스메데토미딘에 대한 잔류 조사를 실시 하였고, 분석결과 두 성분 모두 검출되지 않았다. 하지만 이번 조사를 통해 마취제 같은 의약품들이 고온 및 고압에도 분해되지 않고 잔류할 수 있다는 사실을 확인하였고, 이에 따라 육골분 사료에서 관리하고 있지 않은 다른 잠재적 유해물질들에 대한 조사의 필요성이 제기되었다.

사전과 말뭉치를 이용한 한국어 단어 중의성 해소 (Korean Word Sense Disambiguation using Dictionary and Corpus)

  • 빅데이터 및 오피니언 마이닝 분야가 대두됨에 따라 정보 검색/추출, 특히 비정형 데이터에서의 정보 검색/추출 기술의 중요성이 나날이 부각되어지고 있다. 또한 정보 검색 분야에서는 이용자의 의도에 맞는 결과를 제공할 수 있는 검색엔진의 성능향상을 위한 다양한 연구들이 진행되고 있다. 이러한 정보 검색/추출 분야에서 자연어처리 기술은 비정형 데이터 분석/처리 분야에서 중요한 기술이고, 자연어처리에 있어서 하나의 단어가 여러개의 모호한 의미를 가질 수 있는 단어 중의성 문제는 자연어처리의 성능을 향상시키기 위해 우선적으로 해결해야하는 문제점들의 하나이다. 본 연구는 단어 중의성 해소 방법에 사용될 수 있는 말뭉치를 많은 시간과 노력이 요구되는 수동적인 방법이 아닌, 사전들의 예제를 활용하여 자동적으로 생성할 수 있는 방법을 소개한다. 즉, 기존의 수동적인 방법으로 의미 태깅된 세종말뭉치에 표준국어대사전의 예제를 자동적으로 태깅하여 결합한 말뭉치를 사용한 단어 중의성 해소 방법을 소개한다. 표준국어대사전에서 단어 중의성 해소의 주요 대상인 전체 명사 (265,655개) 중에 중의성 해소의 대상이 되는 중의어 (29,868개)의 각 센스 (93,522개)와 연관된 속담, 용례 문장 (56,914개)들을 결합 말뭉치에 추가하였다. 품사 및 센스가 같이 태깅된 세종말뭉치의 약 79만개의 문장과 표준국어대사전의 약 5.7만개의 문장을 각각 또는 병합하여 교차검증을 사용하여 실험을 진행하였다. 실험 결과는 결합 말뭉치를 사용하였을 때 정확도와 재현율에 있어서 향상된 결과가 발견되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 인터넷 검색엔진 등의 검색결과의 성능향상과 오피니언 마이닝, 텍스트 마이닝과 관련한 자연어 분석/처리에 있어서 문장의 내용을 보다 명확히 파악하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대되어진다.

KURT 지하심부 지하수 내 토착 금속환원미생물의 종 다양성 및 철/망간의 환원과 생광물화작용 (Characterization of Microbial Diversity of Metal-Reducing Bacteria Enriched from Groundwater and Reduction/Biomineralization of Iron and Manganese)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 KURT(KAERI underground research tunnel) 지하수 내에 금속이온을 환원시키는 미생물의 존재 여부를 확인하고 배양하여, 이들의 활동에 따른 철과 망간 환원의 관찰과 환원물의 광물학적 특성을 연구함으로써, 금속환원미생물에 의한 산화상태로 존재하는 철과 망간의 환원과 광물 상전이 가능성을 확인하는 것이다. KURT 지하수 내 금속을 환원하는 미생물은 전자공여체로 포도당, 초산, 젖산, 개미산, 피루브산을, 전자수용체로 Fe(III)-citrate를 사용하여 농화배양 하였으며, 16S rRNA 분석을 통해 종 다양성을 확인하였다. 농화배양된 금속환원미생물에 의한 철과 망간의 환원과 생광물화작용을 알아보기 위해 전자공여체로 포도당, 초산, 젖산, 개미산, 피루브산을, 전자수용체로 철수산화물인 아카가나이트(akaganeite, ${\beta}$-FeOOH)와 망간산화물(manganese oxide, ${\lambda}-MnO_2$)을 이용하여 금속환원 실험을 실시하였다. 미생물 활동에 의해 형성된 환원물의 광물학적 특성은 SEM, EDX, XRD 분석을 통해 확인되었다. 연구 결과 KURT 지하수에서 금속을 환원하는 혐기성 미생물로는 Fusibacter, Desulfuromonas, Actinobacteria, Pseudomonas sp. 등이 확인되었고, 이 미생물들은 체외에서 철과 망간을 환원하여 이들 광물의 상전이를 확인하였다. 철(Fe)은 $Fe^{3+}$을 포함한 아카가나이트(${\beta}$-FeOOH)에서 $Fe^{2+}/Fe^{3+}$를 포함한 자철석($Fe_3O_4$)으로 환원되었고, 망간(Mn)은 $Mn^{4+}$를 포함한 망간산화물(${\lambda}-MnO_2$)에서 $Mn^{2+}$을 포함한 능망간석($MnCO_3$)으로 환원되었다. 이러한 지하 140 m의 KURT 지하수에서 서식하는 미생물들에 의해 철과 망간이 환원됨은 다른 중금속과 핵종원소의 환원 가능한 환경이 조성되었을 뿐 만 아니라, 미생물에 의하여 환원된 철의 재산화에 의해서도 주변 핵종원소가 환원될 수 있음을 의미한다. 따라서 이러한 직 간접적인 산화-환원 반응에 의해 KURT 지하수 내에서는 금속환원미생물들이 유해금속물질을 침전시켜 이동성을 줄일 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 고준위 폐기물에서 유해물질의 유출시 핵물질의 확산을 막는데 중요한 역할을 할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
