The recent development of embodiment technology of the medical images makes most medical institutions introduce PACS(Picture Archiving and Communication System) in haste. However lots of PACS solutions, currently developed and distributed, haven't been able to serve the convenience of users and to satisfy user's demand because of economic limitations and administrator-oriented considerations in the process of development. So we have developed MIH(Medical Image History), by which we can search and refer to the patient's medical images and information with few restrictions of time and space for diagnosis and treatment. This program will contribute to the improvement in the medical environment and meet the clients' need. We'll make more effort to develop the application which insures the better quality of medical images. MIH manages the patient's image files and medical records like film chart in connection with time. This trial will contribute to the reduction of the economical loss caused by unnecessary references and improve the quality in the medical services. The demand on the development or the program which refers to the medical +ata quickly and keeps them stable will be continued by the medical institute. This will satisfy the client's demand and improve the service to the patients in that tile program will be modified from the standpoint of the users. MIH is trying to keep user-oriented policy and to apply the benefit of the analog system to the digital environment. It is necessary to lead the public to the better understanding that the systematic management and referring of the medical images is as important as the quality of the images.

In this paper, a new program recommendation system is proposed to recommend user preferred VOD program in IPTV environment. A proposed system is implemented with hybrid filtering method that can cooperatively complements the shortcomings of the content-based filtering and collaborative filtering. For a user program preference, a single-scaled measure is designed so that the recommendation performance between content-based filtering and collaborative filtering is easily compared and reflected to final hybrid filtering procedure. In order to provide more accurate program recommendation, we use not only the user watching history, but also the user program preference and sub-genre program preference updated every week as a user preference profile. System performance is evaluated with modified IPTV data from real 24-weeks cable TV watching data provided by Nilson Research Corp. and it shows quite comparative quality of recommendation.

In an automated industry PLC plays a central role to control the automation system. Therefore, fault free operation of PLC controlled automation system is essential in order to maximize a firm's productivity. A prior test of control system is a practical way to check fault operations, but it is a time consuming job and can not check all possible fault operation. A formal verification of PLC program could be a best way to check all possible fault situation. Tracing the history of the study on formal verification, we found three problems, the first is that a formal representation of PLC control system is incomplete, the second is a state explosion problem and the third is that the verification result is difficult to use for the correction of control program. In this paper, we propose a transformation method to reproduce the control system correctly in formal model and efficient procedure to verify and correct the control program using verification result. To demonstrate the proposed method, we provided a suitable case study of an automation system.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the prevalence of allergic disease among elementary school students in rural and urban areas. Methods: In this study, 1,513 elementary students (1,163 in urban areas, 350 in rural areas) were surveyed. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage of allergic symptoms and $X^2$ test was used to identify differences in the prevalence of allergic symptoms between urban and rural area students. The SAS program was used in the data analysis. Results: There were significant differences in the prevalence of allergic disease according to whether there was a family member with a prior history of allergy symptoms. 48.7% of surveyed students (49.4% in urban, 46.3% in rural) had allergic symptoms. Allergic rhinitis was the most frequent allergic symptom in both urban and rural students. Conclusion: These results suggest that there is a need to prevent and manage allergies among elementary students. The family history should be considered an important factor when a program for allergy prevention and management is developed. Interventions are needed in both areas, especially for students with allergic rhinitis.

With advent of TV environment and increasing of variety of program contents, users are able to experience more various and complex environment for watching TV contents. According to the change of content watching environment, users have to make more efforts to choose his/her interested TV program contents or TV channels than before. Also, the users usually watch the TV program contents with their own regular way. So, in this paper, we suggests personalized TV program schedule recommendation system based on the analyzing users' TV watching history data. And we extract the users' watched program patterns using the sequential pattern mining method. Also, we proposed a new sequential pattern mining which is suitable for TV watching environment and verify our proposed method have better performance than existing sequential pattern mining method in our application area. In the future, we will consider a VoD characteristic for extending to IPTV program schedule recommendation system.

A 6-year-old, neutered male, Schnauzer was presented with a one year history of weight loss and exercise intolerance. Physical examination revealed abdominal distention and ecchymosis on the abdominal skin. CBC and serum chemistry profiles revealed anemia and increased serum liver enzymes. Ultrasonography revealed a large liver mass which was characterized by multiple hypoechoic lesions. Postmortem examination revealed primary hepatic hemangiosarcoma. The tumor had extended to the mesentery and diaphragm, but distant metastasis was not found. This case report describes primary hepatic hemangiosarcoma which is very rare in a dog.

Government efforts on membrane technology started in early 1980 with Membrane Development Program supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology. Several independent research projects on liquid separation, gas separation, hollow fiber producing program etc. were carried out during the 1980s. The RaCER was commissioned by MOCI for the general management of the project which had its aims in establishing the base for developing membranes, modules and systems for liquid separation in August 1993. More recently, in June 1995, a program for developing membranes for oxygen separation, nitrogen separation and hydrogen separation was initiated. This paper outlines the brief history of membrane technology development in Korea from the introduction of membrane filtration technology during the late 1960s to present.

Purpose: This study evaluated the effect of an Educational Program on Palliative Care for MPM for Nurses in Japan. Program: The 5-h program consisted of lectures and care planning group work. Materials and Methods: This study used a pretest-posttest design with a single cohort of nurses and included a Difficulties in Palliative Care for Patients with MPM (DPCMPM) Scale with 15 items. The pre- and posttest scores were compared using a t-test. Results: We included 27 female nurses with a mean of 14.4 years of nursing experience. In 12 of 15 DPCMPM items, the posttest difficulty scores were lower than the pretest scores. Participants highly evaluated the program for validity, clarity, clinical usefulness, and the facilitators. The Palliative Care for MPM Handbook for Nurses was developed as an educational tool for clinical settings. Conclusions: The Educational Program on Palliative Care for MPM for Nurses was effective in reducing nursing difficulties.

The Engineering school of Tohoku University has been offering a Team-based Engineering Design Course to its first year students since 1996 in order to increase the level of both motivation and interest in engineering. Freshmen are required to select one of approximately 150 topics and do some research on this topic. This course also provides opportunities for students to participate in exchange programs with the University of Washington (UW) and the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB). In the Tohoku-UW exchange program, which began in 1999, between 10 and 25 students of Tohoku visit the UW annually to present the results of the subjects the school has appointed in advance in the Team-based Engineering Design Course. In the Tohoku-USTB exchange program, which began in 2007, about 15 students from each university participate in a one day meeting organized by the students themselves. They give a presentation on either the results of the subject they selected in the course, or on an engineering related topic both groups have agreed to in advance. In this paper, a detailed history, the objectives, a schedule and the budget in these unique exchange programs is introduced together with an outline of the course and its contribution to the engineering design education.

A 13-year-old, spayed female, Yorkshire terrier was presented with a history of vomiting and diarrhea. Radiographic and ultrasonographic studies suggested rupture of right renal cyst. Left kidney had increased cortical echogenecity with indistinct corticomedullary junction on sonogram. Unilateral nephroureterectomy of right kidney was performed. Histopathologic examination of the resected renal mass confirmed a renal cystadenocarcinoma. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first case report of renal cystadenocarcinoma in a small breed dog in Korea.
