This study was conducted to suggest an assessment indices to evaluate the ecosystem services of the unique functions of wetlands as well as economic value provided by the village wetlands. The assessment indicators applied in this study were used by the RAM indices. The results of RAM assessment on the village wetlands in Cheonan city were analyzed by item and critical functions of the village wetland. They were derived by assessment indicators of ecosystem services, and the village wetland ecosystem were presented by Focus Group Interview (FGI). The 20 critical indices were selected from 52 different indices by analyzing the wetland function assessment items. 13 indicators excluding duplicate indexes by function, were selected as ecological service impact indicators. Finally, ecosystem services were evaluated by using AHP analysis to calculate the weight of each assessment indices and apply it to the 9 village wetlands. The results of this study confirmed that the functions of the village wetlands are compliant with the ecosystem services. Based on this assessment of the unique functions of wetlands, it will serve as a methodology for assessing ecosystem services. The study was also conducted on 49 wetlands in Cheonan. The detailed assessment of wetland ecosystem services based on the wetland ecosystem function proposed by this study, was further developed as a follow-up study. It suggested that the wetland areas should be compared and be used as a general standard. In addition to the assessment of the economic value of ecosystem services provided by the village wetlands, it would be useful to assess the unique features and convert them into value.

The demand for multimedia streaming services is increasing rapidly. To meet this demand, there has been much research and many practical developments for providing multimedia services. A push-to-talk (PTT) service is one of the multimedia streaming services that have been deployed not only over IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) but also in peer-to-peer (P2P) overlay networks. The benefit of PTT has been demonstrated in the literature. However, the need for using PTT service in communication can be arbitrary among users, regardless what kind of PTT services they use. This demand does not support current PTT systems, so an expansion of PTT services still be limited. Moreover, the combination of PTT services in IMS and P2P networks will help operators to provide more scalable PTT services. Therefore, in this paper, we proposed a model to support PTT service interworking between IMS and P2P overlay networks. We also introduced our system design and some interworking service scenarios. We confirmed our architecture through implementation and testing.

The ability of smartphones to facilitate various services like mobile banking, e-commerce and mobile payments has made them part of consumers' lives. Conjoint analysis (CA) is a marketing research approach used to assess how consumers' preferences for products or services develop. The potential applications of CA are numerous in consumer electronics, banking and insurance services, job selection and workplace loyalty, consumer packaged goods, and travel and tourism. Choice-Based Conjoint (CBC) analysis is the most commonly used CA approach in marketing research. The purpose of this study is to utilise CBC analysis to investigate the relative importance of smartphone attributes that influence consumer smartphone preference. An experiment was designed using Sawtooth CBC Software. 326 students attempted the online survey. Utility values were derived by Hierarchical Bayes (HB) estimation and used to explain consumers' smartphone preferences. All the six attributes used for the study were found to significantly influence smartphone preference. Smartphone brand was the most important, followed by the price, camera, RAM, battery life, and storage. This study is one of the first to use Sawtooth CBC analysis to assess consumer smartphone preference based on the six attributes. We provide implications for the development of new smartphones based on attributes.

With the advent of ubiquitous computing environments, it has become increasingly important for applications to take full advantage of contextual information, such as the user's location, to offer greater services to the user without any explicit requests. In this paper, we propose context-aware active services based on context-aware middleware for URC systems (CAMUS). The CAMUS is a middleware that provides context-aware applications with a development and execution methodology. Accordingly, the applications based on CAMUS respond in a timely fashion to contextual information. This paper presents the system architecture of CAMUS and illustrates the content recommendation and control service agents with the properties, operations, and tasks for context-aware active services. To evaluate CAMUS, we apply the proposed active services to a TV application domain. We implement and experiment with a TV content recommendation service agent, a control service agent, and TV tasks based on CAMUS. The implemented content recommendation service agent divides the user's preferences into common and specific models to apply other recommendations and applications easily, including the TV content recommendations.

The strategy that using data collection from Netflix uses for its services is different from traditional human interaction and the communication, and it is represented by the systematic algorithm that rooted from intelligent information system based on the human interaction and communication. These characteristics allowed the study to reflect the influence of 'Asset specificity' which affects the continuous consumption of the media services of Netflix users through economic psychological analysis based on transactional cost economics. The result from the survey on actual Netflix users, three types of specificity (Space specificity, time specificity, relational specificity) reduced perceived searching cost whereas perceived instrumentality has increased, eventually reinforces the commitment to the service. This implies that the service characteristics of Netflix, trying to communicate with the individuals based on intelligent information system are distinct from the existing platform services and it gives the significance of work very effective for user's continuous consumption of the media services.

Internet of things (IoT) is based on a global dynamic information network with cloud services where a great number of devices (things) exchange data to provide added-value services and products. There are several commercial and open source IoT platforms available in the market to connect devices to internet; however, they have cost and operational constraints that make them not suitable for academic projects. In this work, an IoT platform, known as Novus-io, is introduced in order to support academic projects for undergraduate students. With this platform and proper training, undergraduate students from different majors (not only from information technology and electronics) are capable to upgrade their school projects with IoT functionalities. The objective of this approach is to provide to any undergraduate student skills and knowledge on IoT, so they will be prepared, in their imminent step toward professionalism, to understand the relevance of digital services in today's world.

모바일 웹 서비스 사용자가 증가함에 따라 품질을 고려한 모바일 웹 서비스 선택이 중요한 이슈로 여겨지고 있다. 품질계약은 서비스 품질의 수준을 명세한 웹 서비스 제공자와 웹 서비스 사용자간의 협약으로 웹 서비스 사용자는 품질계약을 통해 명세한 서비스 품질의 수준을 보장받을 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 품질을 고려하여 모바일 웹 서비스를 선택하기 위하여 중개자 기반의 프레임워크를 제안한다. 모바일 사용자들은 무선망에서 서비스 중개자를 통하여 웹 서비스를 요청할 수 있다. 서비스 중개자는 에이전트를 이용하여 웹 서비스 품질을 모니터링하며 서비스 품질계약에 위반사항이 발생하면 웹 서비스 제공자와 사용자에게 위반사항이 발생하였음을 통보함으로써 서비스 품질을 관리한다. 본 논문에서는 모니터링을 위하여 신뢰성, 응답시간, 그리고 가격 품질요소들을 사용하였으며 모바일 사용자들은 서비스 중개자를 통하여 품질 좋은 웹 서비스를 선택할 수 있다.

학교도서관에서 도서관 목록 검색 및 독서교육종합지원시스템에 접근할 수 있는 모바일 웹 서비스가 제공되고 있지만, 이용자의 요구를 반영하고 모바일기기의 특성을 고려한 서비스를 제공하지는 못하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 학교도서관 이용자 요구에 맞는 학교도서관 모바일 앱 서비스의 내용과 방안을 모색하고자 문헌연구, 학교도서관 모바일 웹 서비스 현황 분석, 학생과 교사의 모바일 서비스 사용자 경험 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사를 바탕으로 학교도서관 DLS 모바일 서비스의 내용구성 및 설계 방안을 마련하였다. 우선, 단계를 4단계에서 3단계로 축소하였다. 1단계에서는 회원가입 시 화면 잘림 오류 개선, 접근성을 높이기 위해 다양한 로그인 플랫폼을 추가하고, 2단계에서는 통합검색 및 상세검색, 이용교육 및 독서교육 자료 제공, 독후활동, 소속 학교도서관 이용안내와 공지사항, 상호대차, 전자책 등과 같이 주로 사용되는 메뉴를 제공하며, 3단계에서는 소장자료 검색결과 상세화면 표시를 중심으로 예약 등의 관련 기능을 제공하도록 제안하였다. 본 연구는 학교도서관을 위한 모바일 앱 서비스 개발에 활용될 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 현행 모바일 웹 서비스의 변경 시에도 적용할 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to shed light on the effect of work-family conflict on organizational effectiveness, focusing on the moderating effect of organizational support among married working women of health services organizations. Data were collected from 149 married working women of health services organizations located in Busan Metropolitan areas by structured self-administered questionnaire. Main results of this study is as the following: First, based on the type of work-household conflicts, namely time-based conflict(2.82 points), strain-based conflict(2.81 points) and behavior-based conflict(2.69 points), working women mainly experienced time and strain-based conflicts. The level of work-household conflicts was significantly higher among younger groups, highly educated, nurses, and regular workers. Second, the perceived organizational effectiveness found to be an above-average. Especially scores were high in the subcategories of customer orientation(3.84), followed by organizational commitment (3.42) and job satisfaction(3.19). The level of organizational effectiveness was significantly higher among older groups, medical technician and administrative job holders, day-time workers, and higher income groups. Third, the results of the regression analysis on the effects of work-household conflicts on organizational effectiveness showed that strain-based conflicts have a significant negative effect on organizational effectiveness such as job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Fourth, organizational support found to have a strong controlling effect for strain-based conflicts on organizational effectiveness. Above results imply that practical family-supportive policies for lessening the work-household conflicts is crucial for enhancing organizational effectiveness in health services organization.

Objectives : This study analyzed the factors that determine the use and type of medical examination services (MES) to develop a model explaining the use behavior of MES which could consequently contribute to policy implications for medical examinations. Methods : Based on Anderson's healthcare utilization model, the MES utilization model was developed by including the perceived needs for MES. The data were collected from an online survey of a population aged 20-39 years and from a telephone survey of a population aged 40 years or older, respectively. Chi-Square tests and hierarchical logistic regression analyses were done with SAS version 9.3. Results : Generally, as health status became lower, the use of MES increased. However, patients with two or more chronic diseases were less likely to use private MES compared to patients with one chronic disease. The perceived needs for MES were only related to the use of service and not to the choice of the MES type. Conclusions : There were different results for the significant determinants between the use of the MES and the choice of the MES type. The healthcare industry needs to aware of consumer needs to provide MES based on empirical findings.
