This study explored the sandplay therapy case of an elementary school-aged boy who was mentally handicapped for the purposes of understanding his psyche. The goal of the therapy was to help him to adjust more appropriately to situations he commonly encountered within the free and protected space made possible during sandplay therapy. Fifty-five therapy sessions were held. The client showed a lack of fundamental care, which was accompanied with regression in the initial phase of therapy (1~14, my situations & regression). In the intermediate phase of therapy (15~52, rebirth), he experienced rebirth and grew psychologically with the death of both a spider and a king snake. In the final phase of therapy (53~55, the acquisition of treasure), he finished his journey with the acquisition of treasure in a free and protected space. By exhibiting a similar psyche with non-handicapped boys, this study confirmed an archetypal pattern existing even in a boy who was mentally handicapped.
This study explored the sandplay therapy case of a middle school-aged boy having severe conflicts with his mother, from the viewpoints of initiation. The goal of the therapy was to lessen the boy's conflicts with his mother within the free and protected space in sandplay therapy. Thirty-seven therapy sessions were held. The client showed the scene of having fun in the water in the most unconscious part of the tray in the initial phase of therapy (1, descending into the unconscious). In the intermediate phase of therapy (2~33, a period of suffering, confrontation with death and trials), he showed suffering, was confronted with death and underwent trials. In the final phase of therapy (34~37, seeking masculine principles and rebirth), he began to seek masculine principles instead of having conflicts with his mother and was reborn. Using sandplay therapy in a free and protected space, this study showed the effectiveness of sandplay therapy since the boy's severe conflicts with his mother were lessened. This study also confirmed the existence of an archetypal pattern in the male adolescent's psyche.

For children with most outdoor activities, wearing appropriate shoes is important to their growth and health. The purpose of this study is to identify characteristics regarding children's feet and to provide beneficial information for an appropriate sizing system of children's shoes. The data of the study were 3D measurements of feet from school boys aged 7-12 of the 6th Anthropometry of Size Korea. This study revealed that the two factors related to the size and height of the feet represent the characteristics of children's feet, unlike adults. As a result of applying the data of this study to the current KS sizing system of the children's shoes, only the foot lengths were within the sizing system. Consequently, the current sizing system requires revisions and supplements to the foot-width and foot-circumference sections.
Objectives : The aim of this study is to investigate dental clinic fear and anxiety in high school students. Methods : The subjects were 311 high school students aged 19 years. They completed self-reported questionnaire including general characteristics, dental clinic experiences, dentist or dental hygienist confidence, and dental fear. Data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0. Results : Poor oral health status showed negative attitude towards dental clinic visit. Girl students tended to have more fear than boy students. Muscle tension was the most common experience and was closely related to anesthetic needles and drills. Dental anxiety was caused by lack of confidence to dentists and dental hygienists. Students were more afraid of dentists than dental hygienists. Higher score of dental anxiety seemed to be associated with infrequent visit to dental clinic. Conclusions : Frequent regular dental checkup may reduce dental fear and anxiety. Dental clinic staff should try to minimize dental anxiety in performing treatment.
In Pulmonary functions which is important Place which national physical power, especially, in under growth course whom aged from 13 to 16 young boys that whole members of 207 person, and had taken pulmonary functions eyamination record, and took as the following results. 1) Frequency of breathing: Pertaingof the frequency of breathing are 18 times per minute at boys and girls whom age is 13.41 (primary student 6 grade), and at 14.18 and with age 16.41 (middle student, & high school student) are per minute was about 16 times. 2) Vital capacity: Measures of vital capacity are in case of boy student, whom was a primary student was 3 liter, and middle student was 3.2 liter, and at high school students was 3.9 liter, and which different boys and girls student was more low quantify at girls student with comparison student. 3) Breathing holding time. Bacille Calmette-$Gu\acute{e}rin$ (BCG) lymphadenitis is the most common complication of BCG vaccination. It commonly occurs in infants aged <6 months involving ipsilateral axillary lymph nodes. We described BCG lymphadenitis in a 22-month-old boy presenting swelling of left supraclavicular lymph node that was confirmed by real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and the multiplex PCR targeting the region of difference (RD).
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships of home environments, personal factors on prosocial behaviors through analysis on children's sex and age. The data were collected by questionnaire method from 190 elementary school and 102 middle school children in Pusan. The instruments used are the child's prosocial behavior test on the basis of the self report scale by Yang, Jean Sook(1991). Frequency and regression analysis were applied for data analyses. The main results of the study were as follows; (1) Prosocial behaviors were directly influenced by home environments and personal factors on children's prosocial behaviors. Personal factors were stronger than home environments in influencing on children's prosocial behaviors. (2) Girl's prosocial behaviors were influenced by home economic level, parent's educational level, leaderships, the sphere of peer relations, popularity, prosocial behavior experience and maturity of prosocial motive. Boy's prosocial behaviors were influenced by leaderships, the sphere of peer relations, popularity, prosocial behavior experience and maturity of prosocial motive. (3) The effects of home environments and personal factors for prosocial behavior differed accoring to children's age. The more children aged, the less home environment & effective factors influenced.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the association between physical activity and vitamin D deficiency status among Korean adolescents. Methods: This is cross-sectional analysis of Korean adolescents aged 10-18 years from the 5th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(KNHANES 2010-2012; n=2,384). We estimated the prevalence of vitamin D deficiency and identified the correlations with the strength of physical activity. $x^2$ test, t-test, and multiple logistic regression using complex sample analysis were done. The odds ratio of vitamin D deficiency by physical activity was calculated using complex sample multivariate logistic regression analysis. Results: The prevalence of vitamin D deficiency was 78.2%. The mean serum 25 (OH) D level in deficiency group and non-deficiency group was 14.4ng/mL, 23.7ng/mL respectively. Differences by age strata (the prevalence ranging from 68.5% to 86.3%) and gender (78.6% for boy and 84.5% for girl) were identified. Among adolescents aged 16-18 or girl in vigorous physical activity, a significant correlation between vitamin D deficiency and physical activity was observed, whereas no significant correlation were found among adolescents in moderate physical activity. Conclusion: In conclusion, vigorous physical activity was associated with vitamin D deficit in Korean adolescents. Thus, intervention programs enhancing vigorous activity than moderate activity need to be developed in schools and community.
This study was intended to provide basic information for nutrition education and meal planning by evaluating the nutritional status, food habits, and food preference of elementary school children with school lunch program and without school lunch program(lunch box). The subjects of this study consisted of 266 elementary school children aged from 10 to 12(136 male, 130 female) in Ulsan the area. The survey was conducted by questionnaires and data were analyzed by SPSS program. The average body weight was $38.4{\pm}6.9kg$ for boys and $36.8{\pm}7.4kg$ for girls and the average heights was $141.3{\pm}5.6cm$ for boys and $141.2{\pm}5.7cm$ for girls. These values were lower than that of the Korean reference. 56.0% of the subjects skip breakfast 1 to 2 times a week, 58.2% of the subjects had prejudice for special food, such as bean, anchovy, and pork. The food habit scores of the subjects was divided into poor(11.7%), fair(63.5%), and good(24.8%). The average score of girl's was significantly(p<150) higher than that of the boy's. Compare to 1/3 of RDA for children, the average intake of nutrients provided lower amounts of all nutrients. Therefore Calcium and vitamin A intakes were especially lower than the others. Therefore the importance of milk and green vegetables must be emphsized to them through nutrition education. Children preferred ssalbab to jabkogbab and liked beef-based soup, and baechu kimchi. There were significant differences in food habit scores with gender, parent's education, and exercise. The results of this study indicate that nutrition education and menu planning program should be applied to elementary school children who are served by the school lunch program.
