여고생 교복 재킷 착용감과 만족도에 관한 연구 -신축성 재킷과 비신축성 재킷의 비교- (A Study on Wearing Sensations and Satisfaction of High School Girls Uniforms' Jacket - A Comparision between Jacket of Stretch- and Nonstretch-woven Fabric -)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the wearing sensation and satisfaction of high school girls winter uniform' jacket. The subject participated in the study were 599 high school girls attending four different schools. The fabrics were divided into two parts of stretch and non-stretch woven fabrics. The results were as follows: 1. The high school girls showed body image distortion that she recognized herself as fatter than her real body type. Especially, this was severe in the slim body type. 2. In the aspect of the satisfaction for uniforms' jacket made with stretch fabric and non-stretch woven fabric. the elastic fabric was more satisfied than the non-stretch one because its width and length was shorter and fitter than non-stretch one. 3. When they wore the school uniform jacket, the wearing sensation of one made with stretch and non-stretch woven fabrics showed significant differences in arms hole when raising hands, front bust when carrying backpack on their back, backs while studying at desks, the upper arms and the elbows. 4. As for the alteration of school uniform jacket, the non-stretch woven fabric was appeared to be altered more than the stretch one.

청소년들 자기표현과 외모 관심에 따른 교복제품 구매행동에 관한 연구 (The Buying Behavior for School Uniforms according to Adolescents' Assertiveness and Appearance Concerns)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify impacts of adolescent consumers' assertiveness and appearance concerns on their buying behaviors when they buy school uniforms. This research examined information sources and purchase evaluative criteria as related variables of clothing buying behaviors. The Internet survey was carried out to middle and high school students in Seoul. A total of 907 data were analyzed by factor analysis, frequency analysis and step-wise multiple regression analysis. The results of this study were as follows: From a result of factor analysis on adolescent consumers' assertiveness, appearance concerns and information sources and purchase evaluative criteria for buying school uniforms, each four variances showed factorial structures clearly. School uniform consumers' assertiveness and appearance concerns had significant influences on information sources and purchase evaluative criteria. Especially, an impact of conformity appearance concern was inclined to be high on information sources and purchase evaluative criteria.

청소년용 교복 및 패션제품 개발을 위한 학부모 및 청소년 패션 태도 조사 연구 (A Study on the Fashion Attitudes of Adolescents and the Parents of Adolescents : Developing School Uniforms and Fashion Items)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences in fashion attitudes between adolescents and the parents of adolescents. 562 adolescents and 163 parents' responses in South Korea are used for the analysis. Survey questionnaires specifically designed for the adolescents and parents are used to compare the differences of the two populations. The results suggest that adolescents and parents in South Korea have different evaluation values for adolescents' fashion goods and school uniforms. The Adolescents placed a premium on 'Comfort' and 'Design' for fashion goods and school uniforms. However, the parents placed a premium on 'Practicality' and 'Price' values for fashion goods and school uniforms. The school uniform items which were most accepted in Korean middle and high schools need the change in composition of items for four seasons. In purchasing behavior, the adolescents answered that they have more than one item of preferred fashion brand. The Korean adolescents prefer famous sportswear brand like Nike, Adidas and etc. The fashion market for adolescents in Korea is closely related with the parents in shopping behaviors. The comparison of the fashion attitude between parents and their children is more practical method for developing the adolescents' fashion items and young fashion market.

여고생(女高生) 교복(校服) 디자인 연구(硏究) (A Study on High School Girls' Uniform Designs in Korea)

  • The purpose of this thesis is presenting desirable design of uniform which could reflect high school girls' demands with the researches on their consciousness of fashion and actual state of uniforms. Methods to accomplish this research include first, examinationson characteristics of high school girls and their consciousness of fashion with relevant articles, second, interviews with designers from major domestic uniform brands - ELITE, IVY, SMART - and third, analysis on related internet sites. Practical researches are followed by design analysis and proposal of improvement on high school girls' uniform, accompanied by collection of photographs from field studies, major uniform brands' shops and uniform related internet sites. Korean high school girls in the digital era are able to express themselves in each different fashion with own individuality, preference or intention, as they are particularly interested in clothes or their appearances. Their consciousness of fashion became visible in a shape of negative attitude and dissatisfaction with uniforms due to its out-of-date design, lack of features and inconvenience in action. Besides more than half of high school girls already experienced reforming it for better looks. As a result of current analysis on references of uniform designs, various levels of refinement were noticed even in uniform of similar details, design, fabric textile and color due to differences on size & length of jacket collar, dart, cutting line, size of details, decorative line, easiness in fit, length of clothes, and etc. To provide students of more refined and desired designs which reflect their demands, current uniforms are to begin acquiring delicate changes with present vogue and feature such as size of details, silhouette, cutting line, decorative line and etc. In addition newly designed uniforms are to present desirable design with image of refinement and neat as they actively comprehend students' needs within its symbolic, functional, economic and aesthetic characteristics by nature.

대구시 여고생의 교복변형에 대한 태도 분석 (The Analysis of Students' Attitude toward Uniform Transformation of Female Highschool Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 여자 고등학생의 교복변형에 대한 학생의 태도를 분석함으로써 청소년들의 교복변형행동에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하고, 청소년들에게 만족스러우면서도 유행흐름에 부합하는 교복을 제안할 수 있도록 기여하는데 있다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생의 교복착용에 대한 태도를 살펴본 결과, 교복착용에 대해서는 찬성하는 것으로 나타났으며, 찬성의 이유로는 또래집단과의 동질성을 들었다. 둘째, 교복만족에 대한 학생의 태도를 분석한 결과 대체로 만족이 불만족보다 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 디자인에 대한 만족도가 높았다. 셋째, 교복변형경험을 묻는 질문에서 대부분의 학생이 교복변형 경험이 있는 것으로 분석되었으며, 교복 상의의 경우 주로 품과 길이를 줄여 입으며, 하의의 경우 스커트 길이를 늘이고 주름을 뜯어 늘여 입는 것으로 분석되었다. 넷째, 심층면접을 통해 교복변형의 원인을 조사한 결과, 크게 미적욕구 충족을 위한 변형, 유행을 따라가기 위한 변형, 맞음새를 위한 변형, 실용성을 위한 변형으로 분류되었으며, 미적욕구충족을 위해 변형한다는 의견이 가장 많았고, 맞음새를 위한 변형, 유행을 따르기 위한 변형 순으로 나타났다. 교복 디자인시 고려사항으로는 '맞음새'를 가장 많이 선택하였으며, '디자인', '활동성' 순이었다. 이상과 같이 각급 학교에서는 학생의 의견을 교복선정에 적극 활용하여 학생들의 교복변형을 줄이고, 학생뿐 아니라 교사 학부모들도 모두가 만족하는 교복을 만들기 위한 다각적인 노력이 필요하리라 여겨진다.

여자 중·고등학생의 교복평가와 교복변형 - 인천광역시를 중심으로 - (Evaluative Criteria and Modification of Girls' School Uniforms - Focused on the Middle and High School Students in Incheon -)

  • Girls' school uniform evaluative criteria and their uniform modification were investigated. The data were collected by questionnaire from 579 middle and high school girls living in Incheon during the fall of 2003. The uniform evaluative criteria consisted of five dimensions: aesthetics, comfort, economy, management, and status concealment factor. The uniform evaluative criteria were used to cluster the students into five groups: economic, practical, aesthetic, negative, and active. The uniform modifications were investigated in regard to sleeve length, sleeve width, breast width, jacket length, skirt length, hip width, and waist width. The aesthetic and the active groups intended to modify uniforms less in sleeve length and skirt length than the other three groups. There were significant differences in the uniform modifications among demographics: school years, height, weight, spending money, satisfaction/dissatisfaction with spending money, and clothing expenditures.

포스트디지털 세대의 교복 디자인 개발 (The Development of School Uniform Design for the Post-digital Generation)

  • As the 21st century is the post-digital era, a mix of the hard digital and the soft analog realm, the school uniform designs for the post-digital generation need to be changed within this paradigm shift. Thus, this study is conducted with the purpose of developing the school uniform design that reflects aesthetic value and sensitivity of the post-digital generation. The definition and background of the post-digital generation is reviewed and the values of this generation are drawn based on the theoretical research. Also, through the survey of 205 high school girls in Seoul, the purchase, wear & fit, and suggestions for improvement of present school uniforms are investigated. Based on the studies above, the guidelines for designing school uniforms for the post-digital generation are established and the products are developed.

  • The market in the 21st century has drastically changed due to the advances of digital technology. This could be represented by the key words prosumer, do-it-yourself, mass customization, and so on. The net generation is in the center of change and nowadays teenage groups wearing school uniforms is a part of this generation. Therefore the current school uniform hardly fits their tastes and demands. This study aims to provide the fundamental information for developing the school uniforms for the net generation based on the study of the characteristic of net generation and questionnaires targeted at high school students regarding the current school uniform.

여자 고등학생 교복 치수 설정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Sizing System for Highschool Girls' Uniforms)

  • This study aims to improve the fit of high school girls' uniforms. This study researched on the fit of the recent high school girls' uniforms and developed a sizing system that adequately reflects their body figures. The results are as follows. First, the research showed that over 50% of the highschool girls wore their blouses too tight, whereas over 60% of the girls wore skirts that were appropriately fitted. Second, to classify the high school girls' figures, factor analysis and cluster analysis were conducted. 5 factors were extracted for upper body and 3 factors for the lower body. The girls were then divided into 3 groups for the upper body and 4 groups for the lower body. Third, KS size intervals were used for frequency distribution of height and bust for the bodice, height and waist for the lower body. Sizing system of the uniform company and the frequency distribution of sizes were compared. As a result, sizing system of the uniform company and the frequency distribution slightly overlapped. Fourth, sizing system considering body type distribution and high frequency distribution section of sizes was suggested. As a result, for the upper body, when 6 sizes were suggested, 43.9% of the population was covered and when 11 sizes were suggested, 58.3% was covered. For the lower body, when 6 sizes were suggested, 32.2% was covered, and when 11 sizes were suggested 58.9% of the population was covered.

한복 교복의 디자인 사례 분석 - 한복진흥센터 한복 교복 보급사업을 중심으로 - (Hanbok school uniform design case analysis - Focused on the Hanbok Advancement Center's school uniform distribution project -)

  • This study aimed to examine the recent Hanbok school uniform design directions to contribute to the distribution of Hanbok school uniforms and the accumulation of Hanbok-inspired fashion design sources. We reviewed 16 academic papers published on Hanbok school uniform designs from 1998 to 2023 and summarized the design features proposed therein. We also analyzed 172 items of Hanbok school uniform designs developed under the Hanbok school uniform promotion project hosted by the Hanbok Advancement Center between 2019 and 2022. We found that the recent Hanbok school uniform design characteristics conformed to the design directions proposed in previous studies in terms of line, color, fabric, and textile pattern. Conforming design characteristics include the following. Overall, silhouettes were straight and moderately fitting to the body. Detailed straight and curved lines from Hanbok were applied. Designs showed traditional Hanbok colors, including white, black, and navy. Machine washable cotton and various blended fabrics were used. Modernized traditional patterns such as Saekdong, cloud, and Gwae were applied to textile designs. In contrast, some characteristics of recent designs deviated from the proposed design directions. Barrel silhouettes were found in casual styles of uniform items, including sweatshirts, hoodies, and jumpers. A wider range of materials, including fleece, quilted fabric, brocade, and Jinju silk, were used. Uniforms had looser silhouettes and were made with modern washable materials to meet students' preference for casual uniforms.
