  • This paper presents the improvement of the resonance characteristics of film bulk acoustic-wave resonator (FBAR) devices fabricated on multilayer Bragg reflectors (BRs) based on inserting ultra-thin chromium (Cr) adhesion layers into BRs and post-annealing processes. The measurements show excellent improvement of return loss $(S_{11})$ and Q-factor by the combined use of Cr adhesion layers and thermal treatments particularly for 120 minutes at $200^{\circ}C$.

  • Business of various form such as industry, education, medium is appearing by supply of Internet of all the world. The Information Technology market is developing by leaps and bounds among them, but suitable school information education disgrace and improvement plan were not readied in domestic Information Technology and communication situation. Therefore, this proposal wishes to satisfy purpose by school information education improvement plan and manpower practical conditions about ERP education. So that, is used to accelerate medium and small enterprises information through qualitative, quantitative valuation of medium and small enterprises information manpower supply and demand as well as domestic school information.

  • An alternate application of MgO film for the improvement of discharge characteristics and life time in an ac plasma display panel (PDP) is suggested. In this research, we deposited MgO on the phosphor to get the same address characteristics irrespective of each phosphor. To avoid the luminance and efficiency degradation by MgO deposition on the phosphor, we optimized the MgO thickness through experiments. The results showed that PDP with MgO coated phosphor has a uniform formative delay in address discharge and improved degradation characteristics.

  • Transmit diversity schemes we an effective capacity improvement method for down link of wideband code division multiple access (W-CDMA) systems. In this paper, we propose to use transmit antenna subset selection scheme in conjunction with closed loop transmit adaptive array (TxAA). The proposed scheme selects N$\_$s/ optimum antennas among N$\_$${\gamma}$/(>N$\_$s/) transmit antennas in order to maximize diversity gain from selected antennas, and also reduces the cost of RE chains by employing two different types of RF modules fur the selected and the unselected antenna group, respectively. Computer simulation results show performance improvement by the proposed scheme over the conventional TxAA when considering up link control information feedback.

Comprehensive Korean Medicine Treatment for Benign Essential Blepharospasm in a Patient Responding Poorly to Botulinum Toxin Treatment

  • Benign essential blepharospasm (BEB) is a condition/disease which involves involuntary muscle contractions causing the eye to repetitively close, making it impossible for the patient to perform daily activities. This study reports Korean medicine treatment of a rare case BEB in a 34-year-old male patient whose symptoms showed minimal improvement following botulinum toxin injection (the standard treatment). Acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, and herbal medicine treatment for 11 days resulted in clinical improvement for all symptoms as assessed by using the Jankovic Rating Scale, Blepharospasm Disability Index, numerical rating scale, duration of spasms lasting more than 1 hour per day, and number of spasms lasting less than 1 minute per day. This case report suggests that comprehensive Korean medicine treatment could be a treatment option for BEB in patients who do not respond well to botulinum toxin injection.

  • As a recent global trend, the majority of mega-size plant projects are delivered through EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contracts, where a single contract is awarded for engineering, procurement, and construction. Under this contracting mechanism, it is challenging for contractors to carry out the projects under traditional project management processes used in design-bid-build projects. A new EPC Plant, the POSCO Special Steel Plant in Changwon, was built successfully at the beginning of 2012 and it is currently in full-scale production. The project has encountered a number of major difficulties however, with some technical and managerial issues through its development process. As summarized in this paper, the authors (as project participants with the contractor) investigated it as a post construction analysis and recorded the Lessons-learned for future project management improvement.

A Study on the Improvement of Digital Library System for School Library (학교도서관업무지원시스템(DLS) 개선방안에 관한 연구)

  • This study was to suggest the problems and the improvement plan of Digital Library System (DLS) which has solved the library management and has supported the data building for resource sharing in school libraries since 2001. The 9 DLS committees were interviewed about the current situation of DLS use and the problems of DLS system in the 6 areas of acquisition, cataloging, circulation and discharge, inventory, library statistics, and searching interface as the research methods. Based on the interviews, the improvement plans were suggested as followed. In acquisition, it was to need the acquisition system development and online purchase for users. In cataloging, the improvement of data quality management, and indexes and vocabularies control for upgrade of searching function were needed. The advanced circulation speed in circulation, the restoration of discarded data in inventory and the exact statistic data in library statistics were need to improve the DLS. This study would contribute to the betterment of DLS and increase the use of DLS.

The effects of Application of Science Improvement Activity Program on Science Process Skills of Elementary School Science High Achievers (과학계발활동 프로그램 적용이 과학성적 우수아의 과학 탐구 능력에 미치는 효과)

  • This study organized a Science Improvement Activity Program designed for the excellent students in science in 5th and 6th grades. After application the effect of the program on science process skills was analyzed. The Science Improvement Activity Program was applied to the experimental group as a club activity after school during the semester. The results of this study were as follows: First, the students participated in the Science Improvement Activity showed an increase in the science process skills compared with those who didn't. Second, it was found have improved in enhancing their science process elements of observation, measurement, data analysis, forming hypotheses, and controlling variables. It is expected that the development of activity programs and their active application should be done in order for schools to provide science education according to each student's capacity from various angles.

The Influences of Career Education Programs Related to the Science on Elementary School Students' Career Choice (과학 관련 진로교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 진로 선택에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigated the influence of the application of the career education programs related to the science of the elementary school on the career choice. For this study, a total of 32 lessons (4 units) utilizing the career education programs related the science curriculum were developed. The study subjects were 128 students from Y elementary school located in Incheon. A test with regard to the science related career choice and the science related career choice factors was performed before and after the lessons. For more detailed analysis, the experimental group was divided into two groups of female and male students; students who hope and do not hope career in science-related fields. As a result of the performance of career education programs, it showed a significant improvement in the 'science related career choice'. And, it also showed all significant improvements in 'science related major/department, education lecture selection'. It was possible to know that the students who do not wish science related jobs in the future also changed their mind on to the science. In addition, all the subcategories of the 'preference for science learning' area such as 'preference for science subject', 'preference for experiment', 'recognition of science subject availability', 'recognition of the impact of teacher' showed a significant improvement. The 'perception about career related to science' showed a significant improvement on the whole. There was no significant improvement on the whole in 'participation in science related activities'.

The Effect of Skating Exercise on Balance Ability Improvement in Cerebral Palsy (뇌성마비인의 균형 능력 향상에 미치는 스케이트 운동의 효과)

  • Purpose: This study investigated effect of skating exercise on balance ability improvement in cerebral palsy. Methods: Total five subject with cerebral palsy were recruited from school for disability childen in Daegu, and the skating exercise was conducted 3times at a week during 8 weeks the skating exercise. Balance test was measured using Balance System with overall index, anterior/posterior index, medial/lateral index of balance ability. Results: There was significant difference between 4 and 8weeks training session in the overall index(p<0.05). There was no significant difference between 4 and 8weeks training session in the anterior/posterior index(p<0.05). There was significant difference between 4 and 8weeks training session in the medial/lateral index(p<0.05). There was significant difference between 4 and 8weeks training session in the anterior/posterior index and medial/lateral index(p<0.05). Conclusion: This study showed that skating exercise was effect on balance ability improvement in cerebral palsy. The future study needs more detailed research and comparison about effect of skating exercise on balance ability improvement in cerebral palsy.
