지능형 채널 할당 기법의 유비쿼터스 네트워크 및 무선 임베디드 시스템 (Ubiquitous Network and Wireless Embedded System with Intelligent Channel Scheduling Method)

  • 서로 다른 응용을 위한 중복된 유비쿼터스 네트워크는 결국 어느 지점에서는 중복된 채널이 만들어 지며, 채널 혼선으로 인하여 전체 네트워크의 불안정뿐만 아니라, 보안 문제 그리고 기기 오작동 등의 심각한 문제를 야기 시킬 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 같은 지역내 다른 목적의 중복된 유비쿼터스용 ZigBee 네트워크간의 혼선 문제를 근본적으로 회피하기 위한 지능형 채널 할당 기법을 제안하고, 이러한 제안기법을 응용하여 무선 임베디드 시스템을 개발하였다.

AGV의 분산제어를 위한 에이전트 기반의 제어시스템 (Agent-based control systemfordistributed control of AGVs)

  • This paper deals with a new automated guided vehicle (AGV) control system for distributed control. Proposed AGV control system adapts the multi-agent technology. The system is composed of two types of controller: routing and order. The order controller is in charge of assignment of orders to AGVs. Through the bidding-based negotiation with routing controllers, the order controller assigns a new order to the proper AGV. The order controller announces order information to the routing controllers. Then the routing controllers generate a routing schedule for the order and make a bid according to the routing schedule. If the routing schedule conflicts with other AGV's one, the routing controller makes an alternative through negotiation with other routing controllers. The order controller finally evaluates bids and selects one. Each controller consists of a set of agents: negotiation agent, decision making agent and communication agent. We focus on the agent architecture and negotiation-based AGV scheduling algorithm. Proposed system is validated through an exemplary scenario.

  • This paper presents a methodology for development of a heterarchical control system in Flexible Manufacturing Systems (FMS) environment. A Petri net based model is applied for development of control software. A real-time scheduling methodology for the heterarchical system is also developed and it is used as a software entity in the overall architecture. The partition of generic and specific modules in control software development is emphasized. The control system performs its control tasks in two stages: (1) generation of generic control code and distribution of them to each controller entity prior to system execution; (2) generation of specific control code according to job arrival and its process plan. The control software and the scheduling algorithm are evaluated by a simulation program.

  • Developing an interactive satellite multi­media system, such as a digital video broadcasting (DVB) return channel via satellite (RCS) system, is gaining popularity over the world To accommodate the increasing traffic demand we are motivated to investigate an alternative for improving return channel utilization We develop an efficient method for optimal packet scheduling in an interactive satellite multimedia system using hybrid CDMA/TDMA channels. We formulate the timeslot-code assignment problem as a binary integer programming (BIP) problem, where the throughput maximization is the objective, and decompose this BIP problem into two sub-problems for the purpose of solution efficiency. With this decomposition, we promote the computational efficiency in finding the optimal solution of the original BIP problem Since 2001, ETRI has been involved in a development project where we have successfully completed an initial system integration test on broadband mobile Internet access via Ku-band channels using the proposed resource allocation algorithm.

  • This paper discusses an optimal cyclic scheduling problem for a FMC (Flexible Manufacturing Cell) modeled by a two-machine flowshop with two machining centers with APC's (Automated Pallet Changers), an AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) and loading and unloading stations. Cyclic production in which similar patterns of production is repeated can significantly reduce the production lead-time and WIP (Work-In-Process) in such flexible, automated system. Thus we want to find an optimal cyclic schedule that minimizes the cycle time in each cycle. However, the existence of APC's as buffer storage for WIP makes the problem intractable (i.e., NP-complete). We propose an practical approximation algorithm that minimizes, instead of each cycle time, its upper bound. Performances of this algorithm are validated by the way of computer simulations.

  • 스마트 팩토리의 핵심 요소 중 하나인 AGV를 운용하기 위해서 스케줄링은 간과할 수 없는 문제이다. 기존의 정적인 휴리스틱 방식은 실시간으로 운용되는 스마트 팩토리에 다소 부적합한 면이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 스케줄링에 관한 문제를 해결하고자 SLAM 기반의 자율주행 AGV를 운용 할 수 있는 3D 가상 환경을 설계하고 해당 환경에서 강화학습을 기반으로 한 스케줄링을 구현해 실시간으로 변화하는 공장에 적합한 동적인 스케줄링을 설계하였다.

  • Traditional maintenance planning is based on a constant maintenance interval for equipment life. In order to consider economic aspect for time based preventive maintenance, preventive maintenance is desirable to be scheduled by RCM(Reliability-Centered Maintenance) evaluation. The main objective of RCM is to reduce the maintenance cost, by focusing on the most important functions of the system and avoiding or removing maintenance actions that are not strictly necessary. So, Markov state model is utilized considering stochastic state in RCM. In this paper, a Markov state model which can be used for scheduling and optimization of maintenance is presented. The deterioration process of system condition is modeled by the stepwise Markov model in detail. Also, because the system is not continuously monitored, the inspection is considered. In case study, simulation results about RCM will be shown using the real historical data of combustion turbine generating unit in Korean power systems.

  • FMS are being installed to improve productivity, manufacturing consistency and flexibility. However, FMS are quite expensive and efforts must be made to avoid the high investment risk. The objective of this paper is to enable the real-time rescheduling under dynamic changes in FMS environment. For this purpose, a KBSS (Knowledge-Based Scheduling System) in FMS environment is developed. This KBSS will meet various requirements of users, for example, to minimize makespan, average flow time, or to maximize machine utilization.

주문 처리 최대화를 위한 창고 물류시스템 분석 (Analysis of Warehouse Logistics System for Maximizing the Amount of Order Process)

  • The distribution cost increases constantly because of the growth of yield, globalization of accounts and the generalization of e-commerce. This paper is concerned with scheduling on the allocation of workers to maximize the amount of order process in warehouse logistics system. The problem is to determine the number of operators in each process by the sequential time zone. We considered that the number of operators is restricted to the current level and also the process time is changed by putting some resources into the process. In each stage, we suggest some considerations for the allocation of workers and estimate the maximum amount of order process of the alternatives. We analyzed the alternatives using simulation s/w Arena with real cases.

분산 웹 서버 시스템에서의 DNS 기반 동적 부하분산 기법 (DNS-based Dynamic Load Balancing Method on a Distributed Web-server System)

  • 대부분의 분산 웹 시스템은 Domain Name System(DNS)을 이용하여 사용자 요청을 분산한다. DNS 기반 부하분산 시스템은 구성하기 쉬운 장점이 있지만, 주소 캐싱 매커니즘에 의해 서버들 사이의 부하 불균형이 발생한다. 또한, 서버의 상태를 파악하기 위해서 DNS의 수정이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 DNS의 동적 갱신(dynamic update)과 라운드로빈 방법을 이용한 새로운 부하분산 기법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법은 DNS의 수정 없이 동적인 부하분산을 한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 시스템은 서버의 부하량에 따라 서버를 DNS 리스트에 동적으로 추가, 삭제한다. 부하가 많은 서버를 DNS 리스트에서 제거함으로써 사용자 응답시간이 빠르다. 동적인 부하분산을 위하여 CPU와 메토리 네트워크 자원의 사용률에 따른 부하분산 알고리즘을 제안한다. GUI 기반의 관리도구를 이용하여 손쉽게 제안하는 시스템을 관리할 수 있다. 실험을 통하여 본 논문에서 구현한 모듈들이 제안된 시스템의 성능에 많은 영향을 주지 않는다는 것을 보여준다. 또한 기존 라운드로빈 DNS와의 비교실험을 통하여 사용자 응답시간과 파일전송률이 더 빠르다는 것을 보여준다.
