Emissions inputs for use in air quality modeling of Korea were generated with the emissions inventory data from the National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER), maintained under the Clean Air Policy Support System (CAPSS) database. Source Classification Codes (SCC) in the Korea emissions inventory were adapted to use with the U.S. EPA's Sparse Matrix Operator Kernel Emissions (SMOKE) by finding the best-matching SMOKE default SCCs for the chemical speciation and temporal allocation. A set of 19 surrogate spatial allocation factors for South Korea were developed utilizing the Multi-scale Integrated Modeling System (MIMS) Spatial Allocator and Korean GIS databases. The mobile and area source emissions data, after temporal allocation, show typical sinusoidal diurnal variations with high peaks during daytime, while point source emissions show weak diurnal variations. The model-ready emissions are speciated for the carbon bond version 4 (CB-4) chemical mechanism. Volatile organic carbon (VOC) emissions from painting related industries in area source category significantly contribute to TOL (Toluene) and XYL (Xylene) emissions. ETH (Ethylene) emissions are largely contributed from point industrial incineration facilities and various mobile sources. On the other hand, a large portion of OLE (Olefin) emissions are speciated from mobile sources in addition to those contributed by the polypropylene industry in point source. It was found that FORM (Formaldehyde) is mostly emitted from petroleum industry and heavy duty diesel vehicles. Chemical speciation of PM2.5 emissions shows that PEC (primary fine elemental carbon) and POA (primary fine organic aerosol) are the most abundant species from diesel and gasoline vehicles. To reduce uncertainties in processing the Korea emission inventory due to the mapping of Korean SCCs to those of U.S., it would be practical to develop and use domestic source profiles for the top 10 SCCs for area and point sources and top 5 SCCs for on-road mobile sources when VOC emissions from the sources are more than 90% of the total.

The small and medium sized dams have the fill dam type of a lot of occasions, which are often weak in cases of major floods. For this reason, although a countermeasure is in great need, due to the importance of the facilities and financial situations, no direct safety measures have been taken. In this study, in order to minimize construction expenditure for practical safety measures in cases of major floods, the overflow section of spillway has been analyzed focusing on how the overflow capacity will increase in the case of partially rebuilding a part of the overflow section of spillway favorable for hydraulic conditions. The labyrinth weir and movable weir was chosen for reconstruction models of the overflow section. Moreover, for analyzing the after-effects of the reconstruction, a small scale dam was temporarily chosen for various experiments such as the hydraulic model testing and the three dimension numerical evaluation through the use of Flow-3D.

This paper presents mobile robot based down-scale mineral resources exploration test system for the USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Network) based exploration. The system emulates the actual exploration environment. Underneath the metal free test plate, a metal object is attached. A magneto-meter mounted mobile robot runs around on the plate to find the metal. The measured magneto-meter values are transferred to the host PC via wireless network. The system enables to improve the reliability of simulation as well as to help efficient exploration system design. Metal-detecting experiments were carried out to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed system.

This study numerically investigated a structural behavior subjected to consecutive explosions. To this end, a small scale one-way reinforced slab (RC) with fixed-fixed boundary condition was considered as the target structure, and a commercial software, LS-DYNA, was utilized for finite element (FE) analysis. Prior to performing FE analysis, preliminary tests were carried out to verification of a computational model for the one-way RC slab. In the numerical simulation, identical blast loads were consecutively applied to the structure, and cumulative damage assessment were carried out based on its maximum dynamic displacements. As a result of the numerical simulation, it was found that maximum displacements considering permanent deformation due to a prior explosion were almost linearly increased in every explosion until the hazardous damage threshold.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to compare the workload level at each lower limbs posture and suggest the ergonomic workstation guideline for working period by evaluating the imbalanced lower limbs postures from the physiological and psychophysical points of view. Background: Many workers like welders are working in various imbalanced lower limbs postures either due to the narrow working conditions or other environmental conditions. Method: Ten male subjects participated in this experiment. Subjects were asked to maintain 3 different lower limbs postures(standing, squatting and bending) with 3 different working conditions(balanced floor with no scaffold, imbalanced floor with 10cm height of scaffold, and imbalanced floor with 20cm height of scaffold). EMG data for the 4 muscle groups(Retus Femoris, Vastus Lateralis, Tibialis Anterior, Gastrocnemius) from each lower limbs posture were collected for 20 seconds every 2 minutes during the 8 minutes sustaining task. Subjects were also asked to report their discomfort ratings of body parts such as waist, upper legs, lower legs, and ankle. Results: The ANOVA results showed that the EMG root mean square(RMS) values and the discomfort ratings(CR-10 Rating Scale) were significantly affected by lower limbs postures and working time(p<0.05). The correlation was analyzed between the EMG data and the discomfort ratings. Also, prediction models for the discomfort rating for each posture were developed using physical condition, working time, and scaffold height. Conclusion: We strongly recommend that one should not work more than 6 minutes in a standing or squatting postures and should not work more than 4 minutes in a bending posture. Application: The results of this study could be used to design and assess working environments and methods. Furthermore, these results could be used to suggest ergonomic guidelines for the lower limbs postures such as squatting and bending in the working fields in order to prevent fatigue and pain in the lower limbs body.
This study aims at providing some basic material to be made use of for establishing plans through which one can reduce job-related stress, through conducting a survey on the sources of stress and then distinguishing its symptoms by the sources. As the methods of the study, we conducted a questionnaire survey of some selected medium enterprises' employees in the National Capital region and analysed the results. The questionnaire was designed by using the dynamic stress model of Cooper and Eaker and consisted of 85 questions to examine the sources of stress, the characteristics of personalities, and symptoms by each type of stress. The total valid respondents were 392 persons indicating 65.3% of the response rate. For analysing the results, a rating scale was used, and the reliability and validity were tested by using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. As the result of the study, those workers in medium enterprises were found to be put under much stress by responsibility, physical environment factors and career development factors and so on. As physical symptoms of job-related stress, eye fatigue, stiffness in their shoulders, headache, worry or anxiety, and waist ache presented most in the respondents. In addition, as behavioral symptoms, chronic fatigue was most indicated. In organizational symptoms, dissatisfaction about the company and lack of self-motivation for the job performance were found to show most. Moreover, the results indicated that the closer personalities to those appearing in persons mostly of type A they had, the more they were put under intensive stress by the vagueness of their roles and responsibility among all the job characteristics.
Intellectual property rights play a key role in employment creation and income generation plays an important role, especially in the creative economy. Many companies are ultimately increasing efforts to boost the company's financial performance, such as maximizing profits by building a strong brand assets amid committed to brand management in this paradigm. Reasonable evaluation and commercialization of technology transactions, financial assistance, investment decisions, trademark brand value for the reactivation (revitalizing) for the purposes of M & A, litigation, brand strategy will be said to be very important. In spite of the importance, the awareness of the property and the capabilities to assess are hardly sufficient. Thus, this study, targeting companies with valid trademarks for value assessment, conducted case analysis by cost method and income approach; the analysis presented the result from 2.05 million by the cost method to 2.7 million by the income approach applied to a variable discount rate and adjustment contribution. However, now that the implication was drawn from a single company, further studies covering case study and application plan according to scale and type of diverse company groups should be continued.
Laboratory scale model was constructed for open-cut riverbed infiltration experiment and four kinds of media were selected, medium sand, sand, volcanic rock, and gravel, for the experiment. Hydraulic conductivity for each medium and flow rate from the collecting pipe with functional screen were estimated from the experiment. Modified hydraulic conductivity scenarios considering turbid water (30~50 NTU) were applied in Visual MODFLOW modeling to analyze the effects of turbid water on the flow rate. Twenty-two scenarios were generated considering prticles in turbid water and applied to each medium cases in MODFLOW modeling. The minimum error was occurred when the gravel medium had 20% less hydraulic conductivities for the third layer-depth from the top and clay particles in turbid water might play a role in adsorption process to the surface of volcanic rock (2~5 mm). For medium sand case the error was also quite small when the mediumhas 5% less hydraulic conductivities for the second layer-depth from the top.

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the static & dynamic behavior of a precast bracket under precast road deck slab of double deck tunnel. In order to improve the construction speed, the field prefabricated bracket to connect the intermediate slab to the precast shield tunnel lining structure has been developed in the 'SPC (Steel Precast Concrete) bracket'. The experiments were performed for the full scale model in order to evaluate the performance of the 'SPC bracket', the structural stability was verified through the FEM analysis. The result of static loading test, no deformations or cracks of the bracket undergo the ultimate load was investigated. In addition, no pulling or deformation of the chemical anchor for fixing the bracket was measured. As a result of dynamic loading test, it was investigated that there is no problem in the chemical anchor for fixing the bracket. FEM analysis showed similar behavior to static load test and it was determined that there is no problem in serviceability and structural safety.
