Objectives The purpose of this study is to review the current Sasang constitutional research on obesity and to provide basic data for further development in the direction of better research. Methods Clinical research articles on obesity of the Sasang Constitutional Medicine were extracted from five database. Published year, published journals, and subjects of studies were classified. Clinical methods for the classification of Sasang type and diagnostic criteria for obesity were summarized. Results A total of 36 selected research articles were published from 1998 to 2020. And 20 articles(55.6%) have been published in Journal of Sasang Constitutional Medicine and Journal of Oriental Rehabilitation Medicine. Most of the clinical study subjects were studies that identified independent factors that were correlated with obesity by Sasang constitution type. But these studies have not sufficiently reflected the distinctive characteristics of Sasang Constitution Medicine. Discussion Through this study, it was confirmed to the necessity of developing new research designs for obesity by Sasang constitution and researching on obesity treatment through improvement of symptoms by using the already developed questionnaires that have proven reliability and validity, away from the research biased towards Taeeumin and Taeeumin's prescription. If additional research based on this study is accompanied, it is expected that it can be utilized in typed obesity treatment fields.

Objectives Five cases of early puberty patients were diagnosed and treated according to Sasang constitutional medicine. Methods Seven year-old girl and four nine year-old girls visited the children's development clinic and were diagnosed as Sasang constitutional types according to clinical investigations. Their breast stages were in the 2nd degree of SMR(sexual maturity rating). Three were Taeeumin and two were Soeumin, so they were prescribed according to their Sasang constitutional types and complaints. Results and Conclusions It could show that early puberty patients can be given treatments and managements according to Sasang constitutional medicine.

1. Objective: This study is about a Soyangin patient with vertigo after subarachnoid hemorrhage. In this study, we report the effects of Sasang constitutional treatment to this patient. 2. Methods: This patient was treated by Soyangin's constitutional medications and acupunture according to the result of Sasang constitutional diagnosis. 3. Results and Conclusions: This patient's chief complaints were vertigo and gait disturbance. By using Yangkyuksanhwa-tang mainly, she showed positive response about her symptom. This study shows that Yangkyuksanhwa-tang has effect to vertigo in Soyangin.

1. Objective This study is about a Soeumin patient who had Yul Gyuk similarity with anorexia, nausea, sialism. In this study, we report the effects of Sasang constitutional treatment to this patient. 2. Methods This patient was treated by Soeumin's constitutional medications and acupunture according to the result of Sasang constitutional diagnosis. 3. Results and Conclusions This patient's chief complaints were anorexia, nausea, and sialism. By using Gyejibanhasaenggang-tang mainly, he showed positive response about his symptom. This study shows that Gyejibanhasaenggang-tang has effect to Yul Gyuk similarity in Soeumin.

1. Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of administration of Taeumjowi-tang on the Taeumin bronchiectasis 2. Methods Consulting her Cheyungkisang(體形氣像) and QSCC, we had diagnosed her as Taeumin and treated her with Taeumjowi-tang(太陰調胃湯). 3. Results After the treatment, she felt her symptoms, cough, sputum, dyspnea, dizziness, general weakness, flushing sign, improved. 4. Conclusions We have concluded that these effects must be useful in the clinical study of the Sasang constitutional treatment on Bronchiectasis.

1. Objectives The purpose of this study is to give an account of the effects of Korean herbal medicine therapy which is based on the Sasang Constitutional Medicine for the patient who has suffered from low back pain caused by the Herniated Lumbar Disc. 2. Methods Consulting her sungjeong(性情), Chehyungkisang(體形氣像) and QSCCII, we have diagnosed her as Soeumin(少陰人), and have prescribed Hyangbujapalmul-tang(香附子八物湯). 3. Results After the treatment, she felt her symptoms, low back pain, headache, and general condition, improved. 4. Conclusions This paper describes the process of management and changes of symptoms. We hope this paper useful to rehabilitatable treatment for low back pain caused by the Herniated Lumbar Disc through Sasang Constitutional Medicine.

1. Objectives The purpose of this case study is to report the effects of Sukjiwhanggosam-tang which is based on the Sasang Constitutional Medicine for the Foot drop caused by peroneal nerve palsy. 2. Methods This patient was treated by Sukjiwhanggosam-tang according to the result of Sasang Constitutional diagnosis. We used Visual analogue scale(VAS), Range of motion(ROM) and Manual Muscle Testing(MMT) to evaluate the improvement of the Foot drop. 3. Results After 20 days treatment, the VAS of Rt. leg & foot hypoesthesia decreased from 10 to 2. The ROM of dorsiflexion of the ankle joint increased from $10^{\circ}$ to $30^{\circ}$ and the grade of MMT increased from 3 to 4. 4. Conclusions This case study shows an efficient result of using Sukjiwhanggosam-tang in the treatment of the Foot drop caused by peroneal nerve palsy.

1. The purpose To know the characteristics of Sasang Constitutional Medicine treatment for cronic rhinitis patients. 2. The method We analyzed statistically 104 patients who had consulted for cronic rhinitis in Iksan Wonkwang Oriental Medicine for three years from 1999 to 2001, using electronic chart developed by Kim Jong-Yeol. 3. The results 1) The efficiency rate of treatment was 73.8% and the recurrence rate was 51.1 %. the recurrence period was within 6 months in 76.0%, so we could consider the group not recurred within 6 months as successfully treated. 2) The number of Taeumin was 64.4% of total patients, which was higher than the rate of Taeumin to all patients during same period in Iksan Wonkwang Oriental Medicine. 3) The sufficiency rate of treatment was high when the treatment period was 30-60 days. 4) The prescriptions especially efficient for treatment were those treating exterior syndrom of each constitution.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to report the improvement of elderly patient's severe anorexia including low blood pessure and cold hypersensitivity of hands and feet after treatment with Osuyubujaijung-tang. Methods We retrospectively reviewed the medical records. This patient was diagnosed Soeumin lesser yin symptom according to Sasang constitutional medicine. He treated by Osuyubujaijung-tang. Results and Conclusions A patient with anorexia, low blood pressure, cold hypersensitivity of hands and feet, dizziness, general weakness showed the improvement of symptoms with treatment after Osuyubujaijung-tang.

Objectives The purpose of this case study was to report improvements of a Soeumin patient with sweating and palpitation after chemotherapy for primary central nervous system lymphoma by diagnosing and treating as Yang Depletion Symptomatology. Methods The Soeumin patient was administered Bojungikgi-tang and treated with acupuncture. Global assessment scale (GAS) was used to assess the improvements of symptoms. Results Sweating was improved to GAS 20 and palpitation was gone away after using Sasang constitutional medicine treatment. Conclusions This study shows that Sasang constitutional medicine can be effective treatment for side effects caused by chemotherapy for cancer.
