자성도자기의 특성 향상 연구 (Enhancement of magnetic characteristics of porcelain materials)

  • This study was investigated to fabricate the porcelain materials with high magnetic characteristics. The high characteristics of the magnetic porcelain materials were achieved at the following conditions; powder sizes of isotropic Sr-ferrites with $1{\sim}2\;mm$ and magnetic powder infraction of 30 wt%. The magnetic tea cups with 3-mm-thick at the optimum conditions indicated the high magnetic characteristics such as the surface flux density of 178 G, the remanent flux density of 240 G, and the intrinsic coercivity of 3910 Oe.

PCL-MMT 나노복합재료의 기계적 성질과 생분해에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Mechanical Properties and Biodegradation of PCL-MMT Nanocomposite)

  • PCL were intercalated into organically modified MMT (PCL-MMT) at $80^{\circ}C$ for 4hrs to prepare the PCL-MMT nanocomposite. PCL-MMT and PCL were mixed mechanically with two-roll mill at $150^{\circ}C$ for 15mins. From the results of XRD and TEM, it were found that PCL-MMT nanocomposite were prepared. And mechanical properties and biodegradation of nanocomposite have been investigated by tensile meter and biodegradability analysis experiment. Because of MMT dispersed homogeneously in PCL matrix, the Young's modulus of the nanocomposite was found to be excellent. But the tensile strength and elongation were decreased as increase of MMT. And MMT dispersed in PCL matrix was almost not affected on the biodegradation of PCL.

  • We tried to isolating a noble gene from cucumber library with heterogeneouse RNA probe labeled DIG of Arabidopsis PIN3 gene. Two kinds of RNA probes which had no significant homology each others, were designed from the 5'- and 3'- prime nucleotides of the AtPIN3 gene. In the first and second screenings of the cDNA library of cucumber with the probes, two positive clones were identified with specific duplicate signals. However, we isolated cDNA fragments homologous with putative nucleases from Nicotiana, Arabidopsis, Cordialis, and Oryza sativa, there was no significant homology with any other PIN family genes.

  • Using antifungal activity-guided fractionation, an actinomycete, Streptomyces padanus strain TH-04, which was isolated from mummified peaches infected with Monilinia fructicola, was found to produce the valinomycin (1). The structure of 1 was established using spectroscopic data, which including one- and two-dimensional NMR experimental and mass spectroscopy. Valinomycin (1) showed antifungal activity against Phytophthora capsici, with an IC$_{50}$ value of 15.9 ${\mu}$g/mL.

  • The alkylphenols, chlorophenols and bisphenol A were determined by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry-selected ion monitoring (GC/MS-SIM) mode followed by two work-up methods for comparison; isoBOC derivatization method and TBDMS derivatization method.
