Objective : The syndrome of daeseunggitang(大承氣湯證) and the syndrome of soseunggitang(小承氣湯證) are different from pathogenesis of the dry stool(燥屎). Due to the lack of body fluid the syndrome of soseunggitang(小承氣湯證)'s dry stool occurs. However, Soseunggitang(小承氣湯) does not have the appropriate remedy. So I will propose a suitable remedy and I suggest it will be available for disease. Method : Study on the syndrome of soseunggitang in Sanghanlon(傷寒論). Result : The syndrome of soseunggitang and Soseunggitang are not corresponded with each other. The treatment of promoting production of body fluid to relax bowels is necessary for the syndrome of Soseunggitang. Conclusion : Through the analysis, I have the following conclusions. Jeungaegseunggitang(增液承氣湯) is more suitable for the syndrome of soseunggitang. Soseunggitang is suitable for disease accompanied by interior heat and dampness.

Traditionlly Radix Ginseng has been known to Qi-tonic medicine. Practically Radix Ginseng is listed in Shinnongbonchokyeong as the medicine for replenishing the Primordial-Qi, tranquilizing the mind and improving mental power. However, when we consider the text of prescriptions that contained Radix Ginseng in Jangjoongkyeong's Sanghanlon, Radix Ginseng had not been conjugated to replenish the Primordial-Qi. On the other hand, Yoshimasu todo had been taken up the position that Radix Ginseng in Sanghanlon was conjugated to treat Shimhabikyeong. Accordingly, author studied about practical use of Radix Ginseng in Sanghanlon based on Yakjing and Yoochuibang that Yoshimasu todo's writing. The result of study are summurized as follows. Jangjoongkyeong conjugated ginseng to treat Shimhabikyeong in Sanghanlon. The prescription that Shimhabikyeong was not mentioned is thought as it was omitted from the text. Jangjoongkyeong conjugated the bitter taste ginseng to treat Shimhabikyeong. Shimhabikyeong is abdominal diagnosis that the patient feel a subjectively blocked sensation and below the Kumi becomes hard as solid.

Diagnostic method by taking pulse is generally accepted as a clinical diagnosis of today. Theoretical foundation of the method was laid by "Hwangjenaegyeong" and "Nangyeong". Since then, it was quoted by "Sanghallon" and systematically applied to diagnoses by making a diagnosis in the light of pulse condition and symptoms observed so that the original form of the method was shaped thereby. And therefore, theoretical significance of diagnostic method by taking pulse was drawn in this paper to define the theory of pulse feeling. Furthermore, this paper is corroborative of that the purpose of diagnostic method by taking pulse is to diagnose pyo-lee and jang-bu; wind-cold-warmth-heat; and deficiency and excess of gi and blood as well as substantially prove it with the texts of "Sanghallon".
