낙동강 하구 사주 식생의 변이에 관한 연구 II. 식생형성과 종간상관 (Studies on Plant Succession of Sand Bars at the Nagdong River Estuary)

  • The processes of vegetation development and interspecific association were studied as a part of a successional study in the sand bars at the Nadgdong River estuary in Korea. The major pioneer plant species in the sand bars were Salsola komarovi, Carex pumila and Cynodon dactylon. In embryonic sand bars, Namusitdeung and Galmaegideung, the processes of vegetation development after colonization by pioneer species were closely interdependent with the development of the sand dune. The vegetation types of embryonic sand bars were divided into two groups: sand dune plants, and annual and perennial forbs. Those of old sand bars, Baeghapdeung and Ogryudeung, were also divided into tow groups: sand dune plants, and salt marsh plants. The results of interspecific association coincided well with the actual distribution of plant communities in the sand bars. The degree of vegetation development in each sand bar agreed with the order of successional stage observed in this study area.

낙동강 하구 사주식생의 천이에 관한 연구 (Studies on Plant Succession of Sand Bars at the Nagdong River Estuary I. Vegetation and Soil Environment)

  • 낙동강 하구에 형성되어 있는 사주의 식생천이와 그에 따른 토양성질의 변화를 조사하였다. 고지도에 의해서 추정한 사주의 형성연령은 옥류등, 백합등, 갈매기등 및 나무싯등이 각각 60년, 25년, 15년 및 10년이었다. 각 사주에 생육하는 식물종수는 갈매기등, 나무싯등, 백합등 그리고 옥류등의 순으로 증가하였다. 우점도-다양성 곡선과 종다양성 지수에 의하여 판정된 식물군집의 안정성은 갈매기등, 나무싯등, 백합등, 옥류등의 순으로 높아졌다. 토양의 산도, 유기물과 전질소 함량은 갈매기 등에서 옥류등으로 이행함에 따라 현저히 증가하였다. 생육식물의 종수, 식물군집의 안정성 및 토양성질의 변화 등을 근거로한 각 사주의 천이정도는 그들의 나이와 대체로 일치하였으나 갈매기등과 나무싯등 처럼 아직도 모레가 불안정한 사주에서는 천이정도와 사주의 나이가 일치하지 않았다.

  • The purpose of this study is to find the bond properties of deformed bars in hign-strength concrete by experimental and analytical method. In this study the following variables were adopted, i.e. (1) the compressive strength of concrete : 270, 400 and 600kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ (2) the corrosion the bars : corroded and normal bars (3) the mixing ratio of natural and smashed fine aggregate : 7 : 3 and 5 : 5 (natural sand : smashed sand) For analytical method, the finite element analysis is performed. And the Pull-out test is performed as the experimental method.

안동댐 하류 하천에서 사주의 재현 모의 (Numerical Simulation of Sand Bars downstream of Andong Dam)

  • 본 연구에서는 안동댐 하류 하천을 대상으로 댐 건설에 의해 하천의 변화에 미치는 영향을 파악하고, 모래사주의 복원 및 재현 방안을 검토 하였다. 안동댐과 임하댐의 영향으로 댐 하류 하천에서 하상이 저하되고 하상토의 평균 입경이 굵어지는 특성을 보여주고 있으며, 저수로의 수가 증가하였다. 안동댐 건설 후에는 식생의 면적이 약간 증가하고 있으나, 임하댐이 건설되면서부터 식생의 면적이 급격하게 증가되고 있다. 댐 건설에 의해 치수안전도는 재현기간을 비교하여 5에서 10배정도 증가되고, 댐 건설 전과 후의 강턱유량은 2,857 $m^3/s$에서 580 $m^3/s$로 감소되었다. 또한 평균 하도 폭 및 경사를 이용한 등류조건에서는 댐 건설 전과 후의 강턱유량에 대한 중규모 하상형태의 영역구분은 단열사주와 복렬사주의 중간 영역으로부터 완전한 복렬사주 영역으로 변화하였다. 하상변동 계산에서는 댐 건설 전에 명확한 사주 및 유로가 형성되었고, 댐 건설 후에는 망상유로가 형성되었으며, 댐 건설로 인한 유량의 변화에 의해 사주형상이 변화되는 것을 알 수 있었다.

Shear strengthening of seawater sea-sand concrete beams containing no shear reinforcement using NSM aluminum alloy bars

  • Due to the fast development of constructions in recent years, there has been a rapid consumption of fresh water and river sand. In the production of concrete, alternatives such as sea water and sea sand are available. The near surface mounted (NSM) technique is one of the most important methods of strengthening. Aluminum alloy (AA) bars are non-rusting and suitable for usage with sea water and sand concrete (SSC). The goal of this study was to enhance the shear behaviour of SSC-beams strengthened with NSM AA bars. Twenty-four RC beams were cast from fresh water river sand concrete (FRC) and SSC before being tested in four-point flexure. All beams are the same size and have the same internal reinforcement. The major factors are the concrete type (FRC or SSC), the concrete degree (C25 or C50 with compressive strength = 25 and 50 MPa, respectively), the presence of AA bars for strengthening, the direction of AA bar reinforcement (vertical or diagonal), and the AA bar ratio (0, 0.5, 1, 1.25 and 2 %). The beams' failure mechanism, load-displacement response, ultimate capacity, and ductility were investigated. Maximum load and ductility of C25-FRC-specimens with vertical and diagonal AA bar ratios (1%) were 100,174 % and 140, 205.5 % greater, respectively, than a matching control specimen. The ultimate load and ductility of all SSC-beams were 16-28 % and 11.3-87 % greater, respectively, for different AA bar methods than that of FRC-beams. The ultimate load and ductility of C25-SSC-beams vertically strengthened with AA bar ratios were 66.7-172.7 % and 89.6-267.9 % higher than the unstrengthened beam, respectively. When compared to unstrengthened beams, the ultimate load and ductility of C50-SSC-beams vertically reinforced with AA bar ratios rose by 50-120 % and 45.4-336.1 %, respectively. National code proposed formulae were utilized to determine the theoretical load of tested beams and compared to matching experimental results. The predicted theoretical loads were found to be close to the experimental values.

한국 하천 모래톱의 지형학적 의미와 효능 - 낙동강 하곡을 사례로 - (Geomorphological significance and role of the sand bars of major river valleys in the South Korea - case study on the Nakdong river valleys -)

  • 모래톱이 잘 발달함은 한국하천지형의 주요 특징이다. 이는 한편으로는 한국의 기후지형 환경과 관련하여 전국에 널리 분포하는 화강암 풍화 및 풍화층에서 다량의 모래를 하곡으로 공급하기 때문이다. 다른 한편으로는 심하게 굽이치는 곳이 많고 곡폭의 변화가 커서 모래 이동의 병목구간이 많을 수 밖에 없는 하곡의 배열과 형상 때문이다. 그리고 하계 집중호우로 인해 하천의 유황 변동 폭이 크다는 점도 사력퇴를 잘 발달시키는 수리적 요인으로 작용하고 있다. 이 모래톱들은 수분수지 불균형을 조절해주는 역할을 하면서 우수한 수질정화필터 역할을 한다. 이와 함께 모래톱들은 하천 어패류의 서식 산란 공간이 되고, 내륙에 수서성, 반수서성 식생이 군락을 이룰 수 있는 터전 역할을 한다. 모래톱은 자연생태계는 물론 인간 생활에 매우 긍정적 역할을 하고 있다.

외피형태에 따른 GFRP 보강근의 겹침 이음길이 (Lap Splice Length of Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) Reinforcing Bars with Different Surface Design)

  • The lap splice lengths of deformed steel reinforcing bars and GFRP bars with two different to surface type were experimentally compared using beam specimens. The purpose was to evaluate the length required of the GFRP bar to develop strength equivalent to the conventional steel reinforcing bar. The main test variable was the lap splice length. Two different GFRP bar surfaces were tested: (1) spiral-type GFRP bars and (2) sand coated GFRP bars. For the conventional steel bars (SD400 grade), strength over 400 MPa in tension was reached using the lap splice length of $30d_b$. Splice failure was observed in the specimen with the lap splice length of $20d_b$. For the spiral-type and sand coated GFRP bars, the tensile strength developed in the GFRP bars decreased with decreasing splice lengths. Development of the cracks on beam surfaces was clearly visible for the beams reinforced with the GFRP bars. Mid-span deflections, however, were significantly smaller than the comparable beams with conventional steel bars indicating potential ductility problem.

아산만의 해저지형과 해수유동 (The Circulation and the Submarine Topography in Asan Bay)

  • A series of echo-sounding and current measurements as well as the drogue and the drift bottle experiments were carried out in Asan Bay since November 1974. Several sand bars or sand flats covered by silts were developed at ebb tide in the bay. Sand waves and sand ripples were seen on the surface of the sand bars, around which sea channels of 8~ 12 meters in depth are formed. The main stream axis of the flood current which is separated into east and west branch flows southward. A cyclonic and an anticyclonic eddy are developed at the early stage of flood tide. They are transformed into a clockwise eddy before the slack water. The maximum tidal current speed observed was 3.1 ~ 3.2 knots at the entrance of the bay, while it was 1.O ~ 2.8 knots in the bay. The location of the main stream axis of the tidal current coincides well with the sea channel. A salt wedge was observed at the estuary of the Sabgyo-cheon River.

Differences between Sand and Gravel Bars of Streams in Patterns of Vegetation Succession

  • We analyzed the factors driving succession and the structure, and dynamics of vegetation on sand and gravel bars in order to clarify the differences in vegetation succession in rivers with different river bed substrates. Woody plant communities (dominated by Salix), perennial herb communities (dominated by Miscanthus), and annual plant communities (dominated by Persicaria) appeared in that order from upstream to downstream on the sandbar. The results of DCA ordination based on vegetation data reflected a successional trend. This result suggests that sandbars grow in a downstream direction. Various vegetation types different in successional stage, such as grassland, young stands of Korean red pine (Pinus densiflora), two-layered stands of young and mature pines, and mature pine stands also occurred on gravel bars, but the vegetation in earlier successional stage was established upstream, which is the opposite to the direction found on sandbars. Those results demonstrate that the dynamics of the bed load itself could be a factor affecting vegetation succession in rivers. In fact, sands suspended by running water were transported downstream over the vegetated area of sand bar and thereby created new areas of sandbar on the downstream end of the sandbar. Meanwhile, gravel, which is heavy and thereby is shifted by strong water currents, accumulated on the upstream end of the vegetated area, and thus created new areas of gravel bar in that direction. These results showed that allogenic processes drive vegetation succession on sand and gravel bars in streams and rivers.

낙동강 하구 조하대 저서동물 군집분포에 따른 생태계 평가 적용 (Implication to Ecosystem Assessment from Distribution Pattern of Subtidal Macrobenthic Communities in Nakdong River Estuary)

  • 낙동강 하구역에서 홍수기 전후에 저서동물군집 영향을 알아보기 위한 조사에서, 저서환경은 대부분 지역에서 사질 퇴적상이 우세하였으며, 일부 수로 지역에서 복잡한 퇴적상을 나타냈다. 홍수기 방류에 의한 공간에 따른 퇴적상 변화는 관찰되지 않았으며, 홍수기 이후 하구역 상부에서 유기물이 소량 증가하였다. 저서생물 종조성은 공간적으로 차이를 보였는데, 홍수기 이후에 배수갑문 근처 지역에서 종조성이 감소하였다. 군집분석 결과는 3개 군집구조가 나타났으며, 하구역 하부에 위치한 사주를 기준으로 공간적 구배를 나타냈다. 사주 상부에는 Sinocorophium sinensis, Magelona japonica, Heteromastus filiformis 등 유기오염 기회종들이 우점하였다. 기회종이 디수 출현한 것은 낙동강 하구둑 주변에 서식하는 저서동물이 방류로 인한 유기물 유입 영향에 따른 것으로 해석되며, 방류로 인한 영향은 방조제 부근에서 사주지역까지 나타났고, 사주 바깥지역은 대량방류로 인한 저서동물의 종조성 변화는 관찰되지 않았다.
