LLR 기반 블록 터보 부호의 연판정 복호 알고리즘 일반화 (LLR Based Generalization of Soft Decision Iterative Decoding Algorithms for Block Turbo Codes)

  • 본 논문은 기존 블록 터보 부호의 SISO(Soft-input Soft-output) 기반 반복 복호 알고리즘의 일반화 및 활용에 대한 연구를 다루고 있다. R. M. Pyndiah는 AWGN 채널(Additive White Gaussian Noise Channel)에서 2차원 Linear Block Code(선형 블록 부호, LBC) 결합으로 구성된 Product 부호의 SISO 반복 복호 방식을 제안했으며, 이를 블록 터보 부호라 하였다. 블록 터보 부호의 SISO 복호방식은 SIHO(Soft-input Hard-output) 복호 방식인 Chase 알고리즘의 부호 판정을 기반으로 연판정 정보를 생성 후 전달하여 반복적인 복호를 수행한다. 블록 터보 부호는 AWGN 채널에서 높은 Code-rate(부호율)의 Product 부호에 대해 적은 SISO 복호 반복만으로도 샤논 한계에 근접하는 우수한 성능을 보여준다. 본 논문에서는 BPSK(Binary Phase Shift Keying) 변조와 AWGN 채널 전송을 가정한 기존 블록 터보 부호 복호 알고리즘을 채널 출력의 LLR(Log-likelihood Ratio)에 기반한 알고리즘으로 일반화하고, LDPC(Low-density Parity Check) 부호와 블록 터보 부호의 직렬 결합 구조에서 일반화된 알고리즘 활용 예를 제시한다.

Transmit Antenna Selection for Dual Polarized Channel Using Singular Value Decision

  • In this paper, we focus on the potential of dual polarized antennas in mobile system. thus, this paper designs exact dual polarized channel with Spatial Channel Model (SCM) and investigates the performance for certain environment. Using proposed the channel model; we know estimates of the channel capacity as a function of cross polarization discrimination (XPD) and spatial fading correlation. It is important that the MIMO channel matrix consists of Kronecker product dividable spatial and polarized channel. Through the channel characteristics, we propose an algorithm for the adaptation of transmit antenna configuration to time varying propagation environments. The optimal active transmit antenna subset is determined with equal power allocated to the active transmit antennas, assuming no feedback information on types of the selected antennas. We first consider a heuristic decision strategy in which the optimal active transmit antenna subset and its system capacity are determined such that the transmission data rate is maximized among all possible types. This paper then proposes singular values decision procedure consisting of Kronecker product with spatial and polarize channel. This method of singular value decision, which the first channel environments is determined using singular values of spatial channel part which is made of environment parameters and distance between antennas. level of correlation. Then we will select antenna which have various polarization type. After spatial channel structure is decided, we contact polarization types which have considerable cases It is note that the proposed algorithms and analysis of dual polarized channel using SCM (Spatial Channel Model) optimize channel capacity and reduce the number of transmit antenna selection compare to heuristic method which has considerable 100 cases.

위험요인과 R&D성과 간의 관계: 신제품개발단계별 접근 (Relationships Between Risk Factors and R&D Output: Approach to New Product Development process)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 R&D성과를 높이기 위해 신제품개발프로세스 단계별로 연구 개발을 수행하면서 고려되어져야 할 위험요인을 식별하고, 위험요인의 영향을 분석하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 논문은 대한민국의 대표 IT 기업인 삼성 및 LG전자의 계열사가 최근 5년 이내 개발한 IT 신제품에 대한 설문조사를 기반으로 하였다. 연구는 우선적으로 신제품개발프로세스에 따라서 위험요인을 식별하였고, 설문지를 통해 식별된 위험요인을 평가하였다. 위험의 영향을 분석하기 위해 R&D 성과를 기반으로 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 위험요인의 영향은 저 성과 그룹에서 높게 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 고 성과 그룹은 R&D 성과를 높이기 위해 프로젝트를 관리하는데 있어서 위험을 중요한 일로 간주하고 있었으며, 효과적으로 위험요인을 잘 관리하였다. 결론적으로 R&D 성과를 높이기 위해 신제품개발프로세스 단계별로 위험요인을 식별하고 분석한 후, 영향력이 큰 위험을 집중적으로 관리하는 위험관리활동이 필요함을 알 수 있었다.

보조환기양식으로서 감속형유량의 압력-조절환기와 일정형유량의 용적-조절환기에서 환자의 호흡일의 차이 (Difference in Patient's Work of Breathing Between Pressure-Controlled Ventilation with Decelerating Flow and Volume-Controlled Ventilation with Constant Flow during Assisted Ventilation)

  • 연구배경 : 호흡부전 환자에서 인공호흡은 조직의 산소화를 유지하고 환자의 호흡일을 경감시키기 위해 적용하며, 환자의 호흡일은 환자의 환기요구량과 인공호흡기의 정해진 양식에 따라 달라질 수 있다. 감속형유량의 압력-조절환기(PCV)는 일정형유량의 용적-조절환기(VCV)에 비해 호흡주기의 초기에 높은 유량의 가스를 환자에게 주입하여 환자의 호흡주기에 잘 적용하므로 두 보조환기양식에 환자의 호흡일이 차이가 있을 것으로 추측할 수 있다. 이에 연구자들은 두 가지의 보조환기양식에서 환자의 호흡일(WOBp)의 차이를 알아보기 위해 다음과 같은 연구를 시행하였다. 방 법 : 호흡부전으로 인공호흡기를 유지하고 있는 10명의 환자(평균연령 $61.7{\pm}7.5$세, 남 : 여=8 : 2)를 대상으로 하였다. 환자에게 먼저 일정형유량의 VCV를 고 일회호흡량($V_{T,\;HIGH}$)(10-12 ml/kg) 또는 저 일회호흡량 ($V_{T,\;LOW}$)(6-8 ml/kg)으로 적용하고 다음에 동일한 일회호흡량($V_T$)이 유지되는 각각의 압력 정도로 PCV를 적용하였으며 인공호흡기의 다른 설정은 일정하게 유지하였다. WOBp는 인공호흡기의 양식을 변화시키고 약 15분 후 환자가 안정된 상태가 되면 인공호흡기 양식을 바꾸기전 1분간 측정하여 그 값의 평균을 구하였다. WOBp 외에 $V_T$, 분당환기량($V_E$), 분당호흡수, 최고기도압(Ppeak), 최고흡기유속(PIFR), pressure-time product(PTP) 등을 측정하여 비교하였다. 결 과 : $V_T$, $V_E$, 분당호흡수는 각각의 $V_T$에 따라 PCV와 VCV 사이에 유의한 차이가 없었으며, Ppeak는 $V_{T,\;HIGH}$에서 VCV에 비해 PCV에서 유의하게 낮았다(p<0.05). PIFR은 각각의 $V_T$에서 VCV에 비해 PCV기에서 유의하게 높았다(p<0.05). $V_{T,\;LOW}$에서 WOBp는 VCV, PCV에서 각각 $1.06{\pm}0.39\;J/min$, $0.80{\pm}0.37\;J/min$이었고, PTP는 각각 $256.4{\pm}107.5\;cmH_2O.S$, $164.5{\pm}74.4\;cmH_2O.S$으로 VCV에 비해 PCV에서 의미있게 낮았다(p<0.05). $V_{T,\;HIGH}$에서 WOBp는 VCV, PCV 에서 각각 $0.40{\pm}0.14\;J/min$, $0.33{\pm}0.14\;J/min$이었고, PTP는 각각 $83.4{\pm}35.1\;cmH_2O.S$, $65.7{\pm}26.3\;cmH_2O.S$으로 VCV에 비해 PCV에서 의미있게 낮았다(p<0.05). 결 론 : 본 연구에서는 보조환기 양식으로서 PCV는 일정형유량의 VCV에 비해 WOBp을 감소시킬 수 있었으나, 환자에 따라 차이가 있어 향후 WOBp를 최적화할 수 있는 방법들에 대한 연구가 더 필요하리라 생각된다.

An Empirical Investigation into How to Use Visual Storytelling for Increasing Facebook User Engagement

  • In order to identify effective approaches for creating more viral Facebook posts, this research conducted an empirical content analysis of leading Korean brands' Facebook fan-pages (Samsung Mobile, SK Telecom, Kia Motors, and POSCO). Their distinctive visual storytelling and communication patterns were investigated as effective user engagement triggers. Through analysis of the research results, it was statistically proved that the different industrial attributes of the four brands, which are primarily characterized by their product (or service) types, affect their Facebook posting patterns by showing different engaging rates (measured by like, comment, and share metrics). In addition, the user engagement rates of the posts were influenced by their visual storytelling factors (i.e. ad objective, value scale, and visual media types). In line with these statistical findings, the distinctive visual storytelling strategies of the four brands were identified. Moreover, competitive and uncompetitive visual storytelling tactics were suggested according to the ad objectives and visual media types on Facebook.

Structural performance assessment of deteriorated reinforced concrete bridge piers

  • The aim of this study is to assess the structural performance of deteriorated reinforced concrete bridge piers, and to provide method for developing improved evaluation method. For a deteriorated bridge piers, once the cover spalls off and bond between the reinforcement and concrete has been lost, compressed reinforcements are likely to buckle. By using a sophisticated nonlinear finite element analysis program, the accuracy and objectivity of the assessment process can be enhanced. A computer program, RCAHEST (Reinforced Concrete Analysis in Higher Evaluation System Technology), is used to analyze reinforced concrete structures. Material nonlinearity is taken into account by comprising tensile, compressive and shear models of cracked concrete and a model of reinforcing steel. Advanced deteriorated material models are developed to predict behaviors of deteriorated reinforced concrete. The proposed numerical method for the structural performance assessment of deteriorated reinforced concrete bridge piers is verified by comparing it with reliable experimental results. Additionally, the studies and discussions presented in this investigation provide an insight into the key behavioral aspects of deteriorated reinforced concrete bridge piers.

  • In this paper, the principle of operation. the part characteristic, characteristic of component movement, analysis are carried out for camcoder iris assembly which is one of the important element component in Video large projection TV instrument, and some Know-how for development of element component is also included. The magnetic field circuit for the small and simple structure with low power consumption is introduced and new materials of yoke for small motor system is suggested. Especially, the relation with remained magnetic field and operation duration time is analyzed by experimental results. Some problems of nonlinear torque characteristics include to obtain the simple and low cost structure in domestic production of element component is analyzed. Furthermore, development procedure is suggested for iris assembly and some methods to reduce the burr with some check points for small precise accessories are explained.

  • Digital Virtual Manufacturing is a technology to facilitate effective product developments and agile productions by digital models representing the physical and logical schema and the behavior of real manufacturing systems including products, process, manufacturing resources and plants. A digital virtual factory as a well-designed and integrated environment is essential for successful applications of this technology. In this research, we constructed a sophisticated digital virtual factory of the shipbuilding company's section steel shop by 3-D CAD and virtual manufacturing simulation. This digital virtual factory can be applied for diverse engineering activities in design, manufacturing and control of the real factory.

환경친화적인 유황콘크리트 인공어초 개발을 위한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Development of Artificial Fishing Reefs Using Environment-Friendly Sulfur Concrete)

  • New artificial fishing reefs are developed using modified sulfur concrete. Modified sulfur concrete, which is made of by-product aggregates and modified sulfur binder, has good properties, including high density, less water absorption, high strength, high salt resistance, and good affinity for living organisms. This paper shows the mechanical properties of modified sulfur concrete and its field tests under the sea. We have found that the pH-neutral materials attach microalgae and seaweed more readily, compared to the pH-high materials.

Practical Methodology of the Integrated Design and Power Control Unit for SHEV with Multiple Power Sources

  • Series hybrid electric vehicles (SHEVs) having multiple power sources such as an engine- generator (EnGen), a battery, and an ultra-capacitor require a power control unit with high power density and reliable control operation. However, manufacturing using separate individual power converters has the disadvantage of low power density and requires a large number of power and signal cable wires. It is also difficult to implement the optimal power distribution and fault management algorithm because of the communication delay between the units. In order to address these concerns, this approach presents a design methodology and a power control algorithm of an integrated power converter for the SHEVs powered by multiple power sources. In this work, the design methodology of the integrated power control unit (IPCU) is firstly elaborately described, and then efficient and reliable power distribution algorithms are proposed. The design works are verified with product-level and vehicle-level performance experiments on a 10-ton SHEV.
