Development of parked vehicles searching system

  • In this research, we developed a system, which can find the location of vehicle when people park their cars in a big parking lot or large area. People can find their cars readily through this simple device and they can save their time and effort. This is the purpose of this research. Performing this, detection of electromagnetic wave's direction is needed and we used shielding effectiveness of electromagnetic waves for the method of it. An absolute coordinate indicates four directions (E, W, S, N) by using an electronic compass module, and it is needed for the localization. The device can check the received count of the electromagnetic waves coming from all other directions through the system, which is installed in the vehicle. The direction recorded the least received count would be the location of the parked vehicles. We can add on the function of this research by using the same frequency of cars alarm goods. Also, it is useful in the huge indoor parking lot.

  • This paper discusses of the problem of direction and orientation of site design of a traditional Korean village. The research focus on how the directional orientation of each houses adapt the direction of the flow of surrounding mountains. The direction of mountains worked as a prime rule which most of the houses( 76.6%) observed the same direction as their own orientation. While the central part of the village followed the direction of mountains more strictly, however the houses on the periphery area tend to be more free from the direction of mountains. This houses of the periphery respect either the direction of the mountain flow right behind the house or faces toward the south.

  • The following results were come out after the careful study on the rational application of dental surveyor in the clinic 1. The adequate path of placement satisfying guiding plane, retention non-interference and esthetics. 2. The location of clasp arm and the accurate under cut position and amount of clasp tip can be judged. 3. In case that the model needs to be mounted to the surveyor, the exactly same location can be attained by the means of the tripoding. 4. The unnecessary undercut areas in the path of placement and removal car be corrected. 5. The surveyor is essential in manufacturing dental prosthesis and it can also carry out all sorts of prospective designs In terms of the diagnosis and treatment.

Frequency analysis of beams with multiple dampers via exact generalized functions

  • This paper deals with frequency analysis of Euler-Bernoulli beams carrying an arbitrary number of Kelvin-Voigt viscoelastic dampers, subjected to harmonic loads. Multiple external/internal dampers occurring at the same position along the beam axis, modeling external damping devices and internal damping due to damage or imperfect connections, are considered. The challenge is to handle simultaneous discontinuities of the response, in particular bending-moment/rotation discontinuities at the location of external/internal rotational dampers, shear-force/deflection discontinuities at the location of external/internal translational dampers. Following a generalized function approach, the paper will show that exact closed-form expressions of the frequency response under point/polynomial loads can readily be derived, for any number of dampers. Also, the exact dynamic stiffness matrix and load vector of the beam will be built in a closed analytical form, to be used in a standard assemblage procedure for exact frequency response analysis of frames.

  • To evaluate the clinical characteristics and outcome of the patients with disseminated pilocytic astrocytoma compared to non-disseminated disease and to discuss treatment options for disseminated disease. We Identified patients with disseminated pilocytic astrocytoma from our Tumor Registry over 21 years of period and reviewed medical records and neuroimages to determine location of the tumor, pattern of dissemination, clinical characteristics, treatment, and outcome. 24 controls without dissemination, matched for age at diagnosis, tumor histology, and primary location were selected from the same registry and case/control comparison was done using Kaplan-Meier survival analysis.

  • The vision system model used for this study involves the six parameters that permits a kind of adaptability in that relationship between the camera space location of manipulable visual cues and the vector of robot joint coordinates is estimated in real time. Also this vision control method requires the number of cameras to transform 2-D camera plane from 3-D physical space, and be used irrespective of location of cameras, if visual cues are displayed in the same camera plane. Thus, this study is to investigate the optimal number of cameras used for the developed vision control system according to the change of the number of cameras. This study is processed in the two ways : a) effectiveness of vision system model b) optimal number of cameras. These results show the evidence of the adaptability of the developed vision control method using the optimal number of cameras.

  • The vertical impact crusher is the machine which could produce artifical sand similar to natural aggregates in the site of guarry and pits. FEM was used to analyse the stress and strength of the machine at high rotational speed. The test specimen was made from the same material as the shaft and tension tests were conducted. The shaft under extreme conditions was analysed to determine maximum stress level and its location from the results. The maximum level of stress and its location could be predicted.

Sampling Methods for Quantification of Solid-state Phases in Powder Samples with Solid-state NMR Spectroscopy

  • To minimize the variance in the quantification of solid-state phases in powder samples, gently placing polycrystalline samples one next to another directly in a sample holder is better than trying to mix them homogeneously prior to transferring to a sample holder. However, the solid-state cross polarization-magic angle spinning (CP-MAS) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy results demonstrated that it is essential in this sampling method to place all the samples in the location of consistent signal sensitivity. The same sampling method may be employed in other spectroscopic quantification techniques of solid-state phases if the method to limit the sample to the location with uniform signal sensitivity in the sample holder is adapted to each technique.

  • In this paper, an improved on-line neural network model is suggested. This neural network is designed to store and recall sequence of key strokes in on-line. The network stores incoming patterns as weight connections between series of layers. The layer has a 2-dimensionally distributed neurons where the location of neurons are relevant to the actual location of computer keyboard. To store longer patterns, the network has circulating layer connections and different patterns can be superposed on the same layer. Also, when the patterns are stored over the layers, the starting layer is not fixed but changed by the characteristics of Patterns to increases network capability. The ways how to choose the starting layer during the store and recall process are investigated.
