This study was conducted to evaluate the vasorelaxant effect of DangGuiSu-San and SamHwangSaSim-Tang extract on contracted rabbit carotid artery. To study the effect of DangGuiSu-San and SamHwangSaSim-Tang extract on contracted rabbit carotid arterial strips, arterial strips with intact or damaged endothelium were used for experiment using organ bath. The pre-contracted arterial strips with Phenylephrine(PE) was treated with various concentrations of DangGuiSu-San and SamHwangSaSim-Tang extract(0.01, 0.03, 0.1, 0.3 and $1.0mg/m{\ell}$). To determine the mechanisms of DangGuiSu-San and SamHwangSaSim-Tang-induced vasorelaxant, DangGuiSu-San and SamHwangSaSim-Tang extract were infused into contracted arterial rings which had been pretreated by indomethacin(IM), tetraethylammonium chloride(TEA), $N{\omega}$-nitro-L-arginine ($_L-NNA$), methylene blue(MB). And calcium chloride(Ca) 1 mM was infused into precontracted arterial ring induced by PE after treatment of DangGuiSu-San and SamHwangSaSim-Tang extract in $Ca^{2+}$-free krebs solution. DangGuiSu-San and SamHwangSaSim-Tang extract revealed significant relaxation on PE-induced arterial contraction. DangGuiSu-San and SamHwangSaSim-Tang extract also had an effective relaxation to the intact endothelium arterial ring. SamHwangSaSim-Tang extract on contracted rabbit carotid artery is related with NO-cGMP pathway. Pretreatment of DangGuiSu-San and SamHwangSaSim-Tang extract inhibited the contraction by influx of extracellular $Ca^{2+}$ in contracted arterial ring induced by NE. This study indicated that the relaxation effect of SamHwangSaSim-Tang extract on contracted rabbit carotid artery is related with NO-cGMP pathway. Pretreatment of DangGuiSu-San and SamHwangSaSim-Tang extract inhibited the contraction by influx of extracellular $Ca^{2+}$ in contracted arterial ring induced by NE.

As a result of studing on the "Joa-gui Em", we could reach conclusions as follows. 1. "Joa-gui Em" shows in vivo effect of that it supplement Kidney-Um essence and nomalize a physiological function of Kidney-Qi. 2. "Joa-gui Em" supplement Kidney-Um essence, it does not use in The Rise of Insubstantial Fire(음허화왕) body condition. 3. "Joa-gui Em" use in many ways women disease, in case of menstruation and meonpause disorder. 4. "Joa-gui Em" and "Joa-gui Hwan" are modification prescription of "Uk-mi-ji-hwang-hwan. 5. "Joa-gui Em" is a pure prescription in supplement Kidney-Um essence, Roast Glycyrrhizae Radix of prescription has effect of supplement Sam-cho Qi. 6. "Joa-gui Hwan" is similarly "Joa-gui Em." Colla Cornus Cervi and a Colla Cornus Glemmys of prescription have effect of supplement DUMAI and RENMAI CHONGMAI.

Objective : Pheochromocytoma may arise within the adrenal medulla, or in other locations, where symptheic ganglia or chromaffin tissues are known to exist. Approximately 0.1 % of hypertensive patients have Pheochromocytoma, This study is to report the clinical effects of ShiHo-GuiZhiTang on pateints who have suffered from such symptoms of Pheochromocytoma as sweating, hypertention, Indigestion, anxiety neurosis, nausea, headache, and epigastric discomfort. Method : ShiHo-GuiZhiTang was used for a patient who had suffered from symptoms of Pheochromocytoma which was diagnosed as Banpeubanri-jueng of soyang disease in Sanghan-Ron. Result : In treating the patient with symptoms of Pheochromocytoma with ShiHo-GuiZhiTang, results were good. Conclusion : The results of this study suggest that ShiHo-GuiZhiTang is effective for such symptoms of Pheochromocytoma as sweating, hypertention, Indigestion, anxiety neurosis, nausea, headache, and epigastric discomfort.

In this paper, the optimum design of tire sidewall contour consisted of double plies for improving automobile maneuverability and tire durability is considered and a GUI program is developed for the purpose of the practical design. Each improvement of maneuverability and durability depends on the cord tension and strain energy distribution of tire sidewall. Satisfing trade-off method, which requires the judgment of aspiration levels, is used for the multi-objective optimization problem. Also, this paper presents the application to the practical sidewall contour design with the GUI program developed using visual Fortran.

This thesis is the study the GuiLinGuBon on the overall composition and the prescriptions for the overall analysis to book configuration, herbs configuration, 8 method(八法) according to the prescribed frequency, SinNongBonChoGyong(神农本草经) according to the herbs of the SamPum(三品) classification and statistical processing GuiLinGuBon the specific features were analyzed.

본 연구에서는 해수 중 유체력에 의한 인공어초의 활동 및 전도를 평가하기 위한 간편하고 효율적인 사용자 중심의 전산 프로그램(SCAR program)을 개발하였다. 개발된 전산 프로그램은 인공어초의 안정성 평가 공식인 모리슨(Morison) 식을 기반으로 델파이(Delphi) 코드 및 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스(GUI, Graphic User Interface) 방식을 적용하였다. 개발된 SCAR 프로그램은 학부 및 대학원 과정, 실제 현장 전문가들의 수산구조물(인공어초 또는 수중구조물 등) 설계 및 안정성 평가에 널리 적용 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

Objectives : Alzheimer's disease (AD) is characterized by neuronal loss and extracellular senile plaque. Moreover, the cellular actions of ${\beta}$-amyloid (A${\beta}$ play a causative role in the pathogenesis of AD. This study was designed to determine whether Woo-Gui-Um, a commonly used Korean herbal medicine, has the ability to protect cortical and hippocampal neurons against A${\beta}_{25-35}$ neurotoxicity Methods : In the present study, the authors investigated the preventative effects of the water extract of Woo-Gui-Um in a mouse model of AD. Memory impairment was induced by intraventricularly (i.c.v.) injecting A${\beta}_{25-35}$ peptides into mice. Woo-Gui-Um extract was then administered orally (p.o.) for 14 days. In addition, A${\beta}_{25-35}$ toxicity on the hippocampus was assessed immunohistochemically, by staining for Tau, MAP2, TUNEL, and Bax, and by performing an in vitro study in PC12 cells. Results : Woo-Gui-Um extract had an effect to improve learning ability and memory score in the water maze task. Woo-Gui-Um extract had significant neuroprotective effects in vivo against oxidative damage and apoptotic cell death of hippocampal neurons caused by i.c.v. A${\beta}_{25-35}$. In addition, Woo-Gui-Um extract was found to have a protective effect on A${\beta}_{25-35}$-induced apoptosis, and to promote neurite outgrowth of nerve growth factor (NGF)-differentiated PC12 cells. Conclusions : These results suggest that Woo-Gui-Um extract reduces memory impairment and Alzheimer's dementia via an anti-apoptotic effect and by regulating Tau and MAP2 in the hippocampus.

In this paper, we introduce new FTL(Flash Translation Layer) driver algorithm that tolerate the power off errors. FTL driver is the software that provide the block device interface to the upper layer software such as file systems or application programs that using the flash memory as a block device interfaced storage. Usually, the flash memory is used as the storage devices of the mobile system due to its low power consumption and small form factor. In mobile system, the state of the power supplement is not stable, because it using the small sized battery that has limited capacity. So, a sudden power off failure can be occurred when we read or write the data on the flash memory. During the write operation, power off failure may introduce the incomplete write operation. Incomplete write operation denotes the inconsistency of the data in flash memory. To provide the stable storage facility with flash memory in mobile system, FTL should provide the fault tolerance against the power off failure. SSR (Simple Sector Remapper) is a fault tolerant FTL driver that provides block device interface and also provides tolerance against power off errors.

In this study, a novel Graphic User Interface (GUI) software development system is suggested so that it can be applied to diagnose breast cancer with utilizing 3~4.2 GHz microwave radiometric data. The estimated inner and surface temperature values on the patient's right and left breast in terms of microwave radiometry are visualized in HSV color mapping space and their relevant contour regions and lines are depicted by Marching Square graphic algorithm. Also the database system is implemented in terms of patient and diagnostic module to support the medical decisions concerning the breast cancer diagnosis.
