질소원 처리에 따른 버드나무류의 생육초기 반응과 양분 흡수 특성 (Early Growth Response and Nutrient Absorption Characteristics of Willows (Salix sp.) Treated with Nitrogen Source)

  • The present study was to investigate the growth response and nutrient absorption in three willow species (Salix gracilistyla, S. koreensis and S. chaenomeloides) treated with nitrogen source (NH4+:NO3- rate; 200:0, 150:50, 100:100, 50:150, 200:0) for a period of 90days. The height, dry weight and chlorophyll contents of three species of willows were found to be highest at 50:150 (NH4+:NO3-) treatment. NO3--N was more effective than NH4+-N in the early growth of three species of willows. The increase in percentage of NO3--N handling, T-N, NO3--N in plant tissue increased. The analysis of C, N and mineral content in various parts revealed that the amounts of C, N, K, Ca and Mg were higher in leaves than those in the stems and the roots. However, the amount of NO3--N and P were higher in roots than those in the leaves and the stems. Salix koreensis was excellent, followed by S. chaenomeloides and S. gracilistyla in absorption of nitrate nitrogen. Higher percentage of NO3--N, the amounts of T-N, NO3--N, P2O5, K, Na, Ca, and pH in soil were decreased.

New Rust Disease of Korean Willow (Salix koreensis) Caused by Melampsora yezoensis, Unrecorded Pathogen in Korea

  • During the growing season of 2015, leaf specimens with yellow rust spots were collected from Salix koreensis Andersson, known as Korean willow, in riverine areas in Cheonan, Korea. The fungus on S. koreensis was identified as the rust species, Melampsora yezoensis, based on the morphology of urediniospores observed by light and scanning electron microscopy, and the molecular properties of the internal transcribed spacer rDNA region. Pathogenicity tests confirmed that the urediniospores are the causal agent of the rust symptoms on the leaves and young stems of S. koreensis. Here, we report a new rust disease of S. koreensis caused by the rust fungus, M. yezoensis, a previously unrecorded rust pathogen in Korea.

대기오염에 대한 가로수의 내연성 연구 (Studies on the Air Pollution Tolerance of the Urban Trees)

  • This study was performed to investigate the air pollution tolerance of urban trees; Gingko biloba, Platanus occidentalis, Salix pseudolagiogyne and Purunus serrulata growing in Seoul, Taegu, Chungju area. Vitality of trees and water soluble sulfur content in the leaves were determined at 24 points in those cities. The ratio of the each number of Platanus occidentalis, Gingko biloba, Salix psuedolagiogyne and Prunus serrulata to the total number of urban tree in Seoul area was $49.38\%,\; 17.36\%,\; 13.42\%,\;2.43\%$, respectively. Its ratio in Taegu area was $36.76\%,\;14.25\%,\;13.36\%,\;3.32\%$ and in the Chungju area was $59.06\%,\;17.35\%,\;11.09\%,\;8.33\%$, respectively. The species deversity was 0.7017, 09067, 0.5297 in Seoul, Taegu, Chungju, respectively. The significant correlation between the S02 concentration and the tree vitality highly found on Platanus occidentalis, Gingko biloba, Salix pseudolagiogyne and Prunus serrulata. Positive correlation coefficient between $SO_2$ concentration and water soluble sulfur content were shown on Platanus occidentalis, Salix pseudolagiogyne and Prunus serrulata and that between tree vitality and water soluble sulfur content were shown on Platanus occidentalis and Gingko biloba. The tolerant to the S02 gas was high in order of Salix pseudolagiogyne, Gingko biloba, Prunus serrulata and Platanus occidentalis. Also the absorption activity to the $SO_2$ gas was high in order of Salix psuedolagiogyne, Gingko biloba, Platanus occidentalis and Prunus serrulata.

버드나무과(科) 버드나무속(屬) 쪽버들의 격리분포(隔離分布) 및 분류학적(分類學的) 고찰(考察) (Disjunct Distribution and Taxonomical Studies of Salix maximowiczii Kom. on the Genus Salix (Salicaceae))

  • 한국산(韓國産) 쪽버들의 정확한 실체를 파악하기 위하여 형태학적(形態學的), 화분학적(花粉學的)으로 재검토하였으며, 어떠한 일정한 지역에만 분포(分布)하고 있는 쪽버들의 격리분포(隔離分布) 특성에 대한 조사를 행하였다. 1. 쪽버들의 외부형태학적(外部形態學的)인 특성(特性)을 그림과 함께 명확히 하였다. 2. 쪽버들의 화분학적(花粉學的) 특성(特性)은 하나의 명확한 종(種)임을 입증하였다. 3. 쪽버들은 강원도(江原道) 설악산의 백담계곡 일부 지역과 한계령의 양쪽 계곡 지역에 격리분포(隔離分布)하고 있으며, 북한의 성북(成北) 경성군(鏡城郡)과 성남(成南) 신흥군(新興郡) 및 풍산군豊山郡)의 일부 고지대(高地帶)의 계곡 지역에만 분포하고 있다. 4. 쪽버들의 격리분포(隔離分布)에 영향을 미치는 환경인자(環境因子)로는 수환경(水環境)의 지배가 큰 것으로 추정되었다. 5. 쪽버들의 생태학적(生態學的), 분류학적(分類學的) 정보들은 사방수종(砂防樹種), 목재생산(木材生産), 귀지공간조성(歸地空間造成) 등과 같은 조림(造林)에 관한 실제적인 적용에 이용될 수 있다.

남강 습지에 분포하는 키버들 집단의 공간적 상관 분석 (Spatial Autocorrelation Analysis among Subpopulations of Salix koriyanagi in Swampy Area at the Namgang River, Korea)

  • 키버들(Salix koriyanagi)은 관목으로 한국에 고유종이다. 전분 젤 전기영동을 사용하여 남강 상류 저습지에 분포하는 키버들 집단에서 유전적 다양성과 집단구조를 분석하기 위해 집단을 세분하였다. Moran's I값으로 세분화 된 1.0 m 간격별 구간 내 개체들의 대립유전자좌위에서 유의한 상관을 조사한 결과 약 6 m 간격 내 개체들의 뭉침이 나타났으며, 12 m 이상일 경우 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 따라서 키버들의 경우 집단구조가 12 m 이내에서 형성됨을 알 수 있었다. 대부분의 집단이 제한된 유전자 유동과 유효집단의 감소가 예상되며, 겨울철 가뭄과 여름철 홍수로 심한 병목을 유발하고, 주기적인 홍수와 배수로 인한 개체 수의 교란이 발생한 것으로 판단된다.

백두산 수목한게량 상부의 식생특성 (The Vegetation Characteristics of the Upper Area of Timber Line in Mt. Paektu)

  • The vegetation of alpine and subalpine zone from timber line, 2,000m altitude, to the upper area of Mt. Packtu were investigated by phytosociological method. The plant distribution along to the different altitudes shown as follows: Betula ermani community with Rhododendron redowskianum occupied dominantly at 2,000m area as patch forms, Rhododendron redowskianum community with Vaccinium uliginosum, at 2,180-2,200m area, both Vaccinium uliginosum and Rhododendron redowskianum community were compatible with each other at 2,243m area. Rhododendron redowskianum community at 2,250, Salix rotundifolia community, Erigeron thunbergii var. glabrata community, Dryas octopetala var. asiatica community and Carex atrata community were occurred frequently at 2,263m around Chonji Lake. Rhododendron aureum, Thunbergii coccinea and V accinium uliginosum showed higher cover degree than other species at 2,370m area, Phyllodoce coerulea-Rhododendron aureum community at 2,400m, Rhododendron redowskianum community at 2,470m, Rhododendron aureum community at 2,490m, Salix rotundifolia at 2,520m, Rhododendron redowskianum community at 2,580m, Dryas octopetala var. asiatica community, Salix rotundifolia, and bistorta achotensis etc. at 2,650 altitude area were settled as sparse, creeping shape on the surface soil and dwarf plants of about 15cm heights.

댐 건설 기간 수위변화가 하반림 일대 습지 식생에 미치는 영향 -한탄강댐을 사례로- (Effects of Water Level Change on Wetland Vegetation in the Area of Riparian Forest for Dam Construction Period -Focused on the Hantan River Dam-)

  • This study was performed to monitor the effects of water level change on changes of landscape, vegetation community, and species diversity of riparian forest. Hantan river dam, study area, has been constructed in the area of Chansoo-myeon, Pocheon-si and Yeoncheon-eup, Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi-do, which is a dam for flood control only in flooding season. Landscape changes were notable after the construction of coffer dam, and the changes were caused by water level increase in areas of riparian forests which consisted of mainly withered willow as a dominant species in the flooding season. It changed vegetation communities of riparian forest from Phragmites japonica and Salix koreensis to Phragmites japonica. Species diversity index was lowest in 2010 when the coffer dam was constructed and showed an increasing trend later. Thus, this study is well in agreement with a previous report that plants of the genus Salix wither by muddy water during flooding and also suggests, controlling water level of river and prediction of water level change's effects should be considered when any facilities are planned.

남한강 비내늪의 공사전후 관속식물상과 생태적 특성 (Flora and Ecological Characteristics Before and After Construction of the Binae Marsh, Namhan River)

  • This study is to offer the basic data for restoration and conservation of wetland ecosystem by surveying and analysing the flora distributed in the Binae marsh, Namhan River, Chungju-si. The flora in the Binae marsh were verified 204 taxa including 48 families, 152 genera, 179 species, 23 varieties and 2 forms. In flora, pteridophyta were 2 taxa including 1 family, 1 genus and 2 species, among angiospermae, dicotyledonae were 153 taxa including 37 families, 110 genera, 138 species, 13 varieties and 2 forms and monocotyledonae were 49 taxa including 10 families, 41 genera, 39 species and 10 varieties. In the result of classifying the life form of flora, megaphanerophytes (M), nanophanerophytes (N) and chamaiphytes (Ch) were each 9 taxa (4.4%), 37 taxa (18.1%) of hemicryptophytes (H), 19 taxa (9.3%) of geophytes (G), 97 taxa (47.6%) of therophytes (Th) and 24 taxa (11.8%) of hydrophytes (HH). The rare plant designated by Korea Forest Service was 1 taxa (Aristolochia contorta), and the endemic plant was 1 taxa (Salix koriyanagi) too. The specific plants by floristic region were 6 taxa. From among these, the species of degree I were 5 taxa including Salix chaenomeloides, Aristolochia contorta, Artemisia selengensis, Cirsium pendulum and Vallisneria natans, and degree III was 1 taxa including Alisma orientale. The naturalized plants were 45 taxa and the invasive alien plants were 3 taxa including Sicyos angulatus, Ambrosia artemisiifolia and Ambrosia trifida. The naturalized index (NI) was about 22.1%, 16.1% of urbanized index (UI) and 27.3% of disturbed index (DI). The extinct species by construction were 17 taxa including Persicaria sagittata, Typha orientalis, Zizania latifolia and so forth. The new-occured species were 14 taxa including Brassica juncea, Thlaspi arvense, Carduus crispus and so forth. The important species among the extinct species were Aristolochia contorta, Alisma orientale and Vallisneria natans.

한국산(韓國産) 버드나무류(類)의 방사조직(放射組織)에 관한 연구(硏究) (Studies on the Ray Parenchyma of Salicaceae in Korea)

  • 우리나라산(産) 버드나무류(類) 중(中) 사시나무속(屬) 6 수종(樹種), 버드나무속(屬) 5 수종(樹種)을 선택(選澤)하여 간재(幹材)의 대질부(木質部) 조직특성중(組織特性中) 방사조직(放射組織)에 대(對)한 해부학적(解剖學的) 식별(識別)에 관(關)하여 조사(調査)한 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 방사조직(放射組織)의 형(型)은 사시나무속(屬)은 단열동성(單列同性)이고, 버드나무속(屬)은 단열이성(單列異性)이었다. 버드나무속(屬)의 단열이성방사조직(單列異性放射組織) 중(中) 직립세포(直立細胞)를 장방형(長方型)과 정방형(正方型)으로 세분(細分)했다. 평복세포(平伏細胞) 방사조직장(放射組織長)은 사시나무속(屬)이 최소(最少) 및 최대치(最大値)가 $26.84{\sim}212.28{\mu}$, 버드나무속(屬)이 $46.36{\sim}170.80{\mu}$의 범위(範圍)였고, 또 버드나무속(屬)의 직립세포(直立細胞)에 있어서 장방형(長方型)은 $26.84{\sim}70.76{\mu}$, 정방형(正方型)은 $17.08{\sim}43.92{\mu}$ 범위(範圍)였다. 평복세포(平伏細胞)의 방사조직폭(放射組織幅)은 사시나무속(屬)이 최소(最少) 및 최대치(最大値)가 $12.20{\sim}24.40{\mu}$, 버드나무속(屬)이 $12.20{\sim}26.84{\mu}$의 범위(範圍)였고, 또 버드나무속(屬)의 직립세포(直立細胞)에 있어서 장방형(長方型)은 $9.76{\sim}41.48{\mu}$, 정방형(正方型)은 $19.52{\sim}46.36{\mu}$ 범위(範圍)였다. 촉단면상(觸斷面上)에서 방사조직(放射組織)의 고(高)는 사시나무속(屬)이 $65.88{\sim}414.80{\mu}$, 버드나무속(屬)이 $65.88{\sim}439.20{\mu}$의 범위(範圍)이였다. 방사조직(放射組織)의 폭(幅)은 사시나무속(屬)이 $4.88{\sim}24.40{\mu}$, 버드나무속(屬)이 $7.32{\sim}21.96{\mu}$의 범위(範圍)였었다. 촉단면상(觸斷面上)에서의 방사조직(放射組織)의 수(數)(세포고(細胞高))는 사시나무속(屬)이 3~26 세포고(細胞高)이고 버드나무속(屬)이 2~21 세포고(細胞高)이었다.
